1641  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitblender issue on: November 25, 2018, 04:10:45 PM
Like TryNinja said, create an account on the Onion website (http://bitblendervrfkzr.onion/), and go to this link (http://bitblendervrfkzr.onion/?p=support) in your Tor browser, or Tails, whatever you use. You should be good to go from there; I don't see an issue in creating multiple accounts here since I doubt you're going to get much support messaging the official Bitblender bitcointalk account, though you could try- I bet you'll still be pointed towards the on-site support, though.
1642  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Black Friday deals on: November 24, 2018, 02:36:05 AM
Thanks for posting the deal on the Ledger Nano! I already have two in my possession for storing crypto, but this is about as low as I have ever seen for the Nanos, and they're pretty robust devices in my experience. Both of mine are already matte black, and I don't have any color preference, so this is perfect for me. I might also consider a Trezor with the deal they're having right now, but it seems they charge a pretty hefty shipping fee, and Ledger offers free shipping on their Nano. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be any discounts for anything else like the Blue, as I was previously considering trying one out, but this is already more than I expected.
1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you really need a dice bot? If yes, what feature do you wish to have? on: November 24, 2018, 02:29:54 AM
Everything about this bot looks good to me right now. I do not play dice often when I gamble, and I don't usually use bots, but it seems to me that there's everything I could ever need with a dice bot in the program you have here. The bot itself is functional and doesn't really need any updating in the aesthetics department IMO, but perhaps a dark theme would be nice- I have a dark theme for my Chrome browser and also on most sites that allow me to change the website theme, and having a dark theme on your bot would definitely be a plus for me. Everything else seems good to me, however.
1644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin at this moment is right? on: November 23, 2018, 12:08:54 AM
I'm personally just buying BTC right now and not selling off too much as prices are heavily discounted from where they were just a week ago- prices could obviously continue to drop off in the future, and there's no telling where the bottom is right now, but this is still prime territory to buy in. I don't even plan on buying anything this Black Friday because of the drop in prices; I'm buying BTC instead. Time will tell if this was a good choice or not.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: crypto pump channels on telegram? on: November 22, 2018, 11:52:29 PM
I've never had good luck with such pump channels. Most of the time they're made just to make the owner of the channel a profit. Most pump group owners are just using such groups to dump coins that they themselves acquired a long time ago at a profit, and it's always best to simply do your own research and trade normally. This is just another example of something being too good to be true, a recurring theme in cryptocurrency nowadays. Paying to join such channels is just a waste of your money, and following the signals from free groups won't end well either. Nearly all of these channels are scams without exception.
1646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decentralized Dice Games? on: November 22, 2018, 11:46:59 PM
There is a list of smart-contract based casinos out there, but I can't recall the URL of the site or the general name of it at this moment. I'll update this post if I do find it.

A few casinos I found that are decentralized just off the front page of a Google search included Edgeless (which claims to have 0% house edge), vDice, and also Etheroll. These sites should all be legitimate, as there were ANN threads for all of them and I did not find any major allegations against them.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dota 2 Kuala Lumpur Major 2018 on: November 22, 2018, 08:41:00 PM
The source for this screenshot wasn't provided, but it's from Liquipedia if anyone is interested. The entire wiki is well made, and I personally use it to find information on CS:GO as well as Dota, especially for players and teams, etc. Here's a link to the page this screenshot was taken from.

I didn't watch much of this particular major, but it seems like the final match was pretty close with VP winning 3-2 over Team Secret.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill-based Gambling/games? on: November 22, 2018, 08:37:28 PM
Interesting game- it seems the house edge of the game is set to 1%, as noted in the rules of the game (correct me if I am wrong)? The English in the entire FAQ and Tutorial is a bit rough, so I'm not completely sure if I interpreted things correctly.

Quote
The initial Round check-in fees and the fees for re-entrances are put into the Round Pot. When finish condition occurs, the round ends and the winners - players who left in the Round- gain the Pot content exclusive House Edge (1%). If more than one Level wins, the occupants of highest Level gain 70% of the pot, occupants of the next Level gain 70% of the Pot and so on.

It is also possible to check-in to the Round while in progress

There is a common quota for all Players of such check-ins for each Round. In this case the Player pays <Round Pot>/ <Number of active players>.

On the next Move the Player will find himself on the median Level - among all active players

At last, the dismissed Player can re-Check-in again. The rules in this case are the same as above.

Guru3D also offers a download link to the actual DDU software that works and is legitimate. I would highly suggest getting this software if you don't have it already as this is great for fixing and diagnosing issues with graphics cards, but don't download it from the OP. There is no reason to download from a third party GitHub when you can just get the original one.

The real GitHub link is here.
1650  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is gshenusa.com trust worhty? on: November 22, 2018, 05:12:39 PM
Half the scam sites I've seen recently only accept bank transfers or cryptocurrency payments, which are both essentially irreversible methods of payment. Some scam sites do accept PayPal, and it is possible to chargeback on PayPal if you don't receive the equipment you purchased on PayPal, but most of the time it's just a waste of your time as nothing will be delivered.

Besides that, even if the site was legit, the prices for some pieces of equipment are rubbish. The Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 8GB card is priced at $250/card, whereas I can get the same card for $200 on Newegg and some RX 580 8G cards for ~$180 with the sales going on.

If you're ever buying mining gear, always buy from the actual manufacturer or use a third party service like Amazon or eBay that allows you to chargeback if things go south. I often use eBay for buying, and I've never had an issue with gear not being delivered or not as described- I can simply file for a SNAD on eBay for items not as described, and I get a refund.
1651  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: November 22, 2018, 05:01:29 PM
I believe they are not going to resume cloud mining and will eventually shut down when the redemption process is over. Frankly speaking, I don't think that any cloud mining provider can survive this trend.
Yup, we're likely going to hear more news from other cloud mining service providers (Hashflare, etc, likely in this thread) about contracts ending, etc in a bit once profitability continues to drop and they're forced to stop mining due to mining becoming unprofitable. I don't think even Bitmain themselves are making too much from mining with their own farms the way things are going right now.
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: November 22, 2018, 04:12:32 PM
Mostly people that don't have a lot of money and need more, who also don't know that all games are against them (house edge). I have known some gambling addicts in my life, and a good portion of the people that I knew fit this category. Some people also don't have the mental willpower to stop gambling, which makes gambling a difficult thing to get out of unless someone is able to secure help for the person in question who is addicted to gambling.

At the same time, gambling can also be a perfectly good source of entertainment if you exercise the right precautions to ensure you aren't spending more than you can afford. I personally do this, and I'm not addicted to gambling at all, but I still do gamble quite often with the money I can afford to spend.
1653  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Introducing the Blockchain news website - very Helpful on: November 22, 2018, 04:08:37 PM
Friends
The purpose of the website is just to collect news for my convenience
I introduced here if someone likes to use it.
Otherwise, I know that such sites are not the subject of search engines
Good luck
Then at least give credits to the author of the article you copied or linked the original link of the article in the first place.

And anyway, the site can't be reached as of now so it's useless after all.
http://cryptoday.xyz/

or

http://www.cryptoday.xyz/
These two links still throw the same errors I had posted previously- "ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED". Here's a screenshot of the error I'm talking about (Gyazo link, click to view). I'm no website expert, but this should help diagnose the issue.
1654  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Introducing the Blockchain news website - very Helpful on: November 21, 2018, 09:00:07 PM
Besides these numerous issues, I can't even visit the site anymore as I get the Chrome error "ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED" upon trying to visit the site. I generally welcome any and all news aggregators for the convenience of viewing news on one website, but it's concerning to me that there are plagiarism issues sprinkled everywhere on the site from what I can see with the posts above.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The fate of the Miners on: November 21, 2018, 08:40:49 PM
There's always going to be a group of miners that will remain profitable- that's just how mining works, and difficulty adjustments will make things more profitable eventually. Mining will always continue on major cryptocurrencies, as even if people stop mining, difficulty will eventually correct itself to make mining profitable again, and blocks will continue to be mined.

I've personally chosen to turn off essentially all my mining rigs and I am currently just purchasing and holding cryptocurrencies. Many others on this subforum have chosen to do the same. Just keep in mind that if you're mining at a loss, you're essentially buying coins at market price plus electrical and maintenance fees- not an ideal situation.

thats not actually true. I am basically mining at a loss now with the latest dumps, but getting free heating, im making around 0.00025 day btc using 300w and at 0.113 kwh means im basically buying btc at 3250€, thats cheaper than the 3900€ its at now.

You're correct, but not everybody mines for free heating, though it is true that mining for heat and crypto can be a viable option. It's been a relatively mild winter where I live, but for those who live in cooler environments this is absolutely a viable option. For those who don't mine for heat, though, if you're mining at a loss, you're better off buying coins.

1657  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: anyone try SILEX for trading multiple exchanges / arbitrage? on: November 21, 2018, 03:59:37 AM
I'm currently getting an error trying to load the page; here's the error below in code format to save space.

Code:
404 Not Found
Code: NoSuchBucket
Message: The specified bucket does not exist
BucketName: silexapp.com
RequestId: 6A600E34448AD5B6
HostId: znzgqKdbjj7pLU6crcofP0nJe46RirJkgP/tGpQq12c2kGIM8x0dKstjBzN7hFyV1S0Mgg136zU=

As for the legitimacy of the platform itself, I'm personally not sure. I was not able to gather much information on the website itself, and I was only able to find this one review of the platform. Unless someone else posts here on the legitimacy of the platform, I would not use it for trading with any real volume.
1658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Panic! on: November 21, 2018, 02:45:47 AM
I'm still mostly spending coins like normal and buying and selling as I have in the recent months- the decline in price was pretty dramatic recently, but nothing I can't take- I started holding in 2015 after all, when prices were nearly stagnant for two years. There are many things you can do in this market, including buying in at this price and holding coins you had earlier to dollar cost average, or simply hold and do nothing. It's up to you to make a decision in the end, as there is no perfect way to trade.
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchange IN CASINO on: November 21, 2018, 01:01:17 AM
BTC to Fiat ATM machines could be a viable option; I find that such machines are usually pretty successful as long as the fees on the machines aren't too high and both buy and sell orders are accepted. They do cost a bit initially, but the fees on the machines should pay off the cost of the ATM eventually, and the ATM should get decent traffic at a casino, perfect for people trying to change their cryptocurrency into fiat cash to gamble.
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3 new Bitmain products D5, DR5, S11 on: November 21, 2018, 12:55:09 AM
The current profitability values for these miners on ASICMinerMarket are now available at the following links:

DR5
D5
S11 not yet up

The D5 seems pretty poorly priced at $1200 considering the break even period with current cryptocurrency prices and difficulties means the break-even period of the machine's over 1 year. The DR5 seems promising, but it's possible that if Bitmain releases a large batch, difficulty and also profitability will fall, though the miner profitability is currently under a year for most people. Profitability's been declining on Blake256R14 for quite some time as well.
