701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is your worst crypto casino experience? on: August 13, 2019, 05:59:01 PM
I was betting on a new CS:GO gambling site that took skins and Bitcoin, got a pretty good win on an match and then upon trying to withdraw I got an error message that told me to contact support for more information. After doing that the site requested several forms of KYC verification which I refused to complete because I didn't trust the site (very new at the time), and the site required way too many forms of identification than I was comfortable with. Never visited the site ever again, and I still don't support sites that request KYC only for withdrawals to this day.
702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bearish short term but Bullish long term on: August 13, 2019, 04:27:55 PM
Last few hours have been pretty continuous dumping, Bitmex funding rate is currently at 0.0295% and predicted to go to 0.044% interestingly even though price has been going down- probably from people longing into this. Dump has temporarily stopped near the $10.9K level, though it does seem like there's still some room to go down still. RSI's hit the teens on the hourly and sitting right above 30 on the 4H, MACD seems like it'll flip red on the daily soon. Monitoring this closely, but still keeping my bids up.
703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie - when to take profit on: August 13, 2019, 03:06:38 PM
There's a number of ways to take profit, but one of my favorite ones is using FTA (or first trouble area). At its most basic, it's simply exiting a trade (usually the whole trade) at whatever price level is closest to your entry that the price action could turn in the opposite direction. Relatively simple and effective since most people can accurately identify potential supports and resistances on a chart, and it's an easy way to apply that knowledge effectively. You could also just take partial profits around supports or resistances if you're going long or short.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 13, 2019, 03:01:49 PM
I had a win of a few thousand dollars a while back when I was betting on the underdog of a pretty big CS:GO match a year or more ago. Odds were massively skewed towards one of the teams, and it looked good enough that I placed a few hundred on the underdog and watched the match. Surprisingly the overdog team didn't put up much resistance at all and the match ended pretty quickly. I've since lowered the money I place on each bet, and so I've had several underdog victories since then, but nothing like the one I just described.
705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to daytrade on bitmex with leverage on: August 13, 2019, 02:55:25 PM
I think more than these you gotta realize that leverages makes it very quick to liquidate and lose if you make x100 leverage and whatever you go down (ie; x50, x10) more chance for you to not lose all of your money all at once.

People look at margin trading and think that they can make x100 of what they normally can but they are forgetting that they can also lose all of their money in return as well. Lets say you wanna buy 1 bitcoin at 11 thousand dollars, if you normally buy and it goes up to 13 thousand you make 2 thousand profit and if it goes down to 9 thousand you lose 2 thousand, if you do leverage you either win 20 thousand dollars or you lose all your 11 thousand dollars, that is a huge risk to take and I don't know if anyone realizes this enough to risk all their money.
100x is just gambling and you should never seriously consider using 100x if you're legitimately trying to trade. Even 25x leverage is pretty risky because your liquidation price is so close to your entry point, same goes for 10x, though if you're correctly sizing trades and setting stoplosses you should never be liquidated. Make sure your stops are market stops on Bitmex because the price can and will skip right over your limit stop, especially when the price action is strongly in one direction or another.
706  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fake Sellers Who? on: August 13, 2019, 02:52:38 PM
Lost $50.000 when choosing a wrong site mining is insane, I'll prefer to buy bitcoin or also pick some altcoins and choose reputable exchange maybe it will more comfortable for me.

Actually I don't know much about the profit that will get by some miner when they mining bitcoin, is there anyone who willing to explain the profit when mining bitcoin?

Because I'll lose my all money when I wrong to choose the wrong site and different with when I choose investing in bitcoin because when the price of bitcoin goes to down I'll still have an expectancy for the price back to up again.
It's really not hard to figure out which sites are scams with a little bit of looking and researching, and if you're dealing with something like $50,000 trying to buy miners, you should be buying units from an official distributor or manufacturer of mining hardware. Buying miners using payment methods that have at least some buyer protection also helps. I almost never purchase miners with crypto unless it's from this forum from a reputable member or with an escrowed order.

Many of the sites 'reviewed' by asicminervalue aren't actually legit and pretty blatant scams. Do your own research when determining whether or not a site's legit, though always remember buying direct is the best.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best (no)betting esports site on: August 13, 2019, 02:47:46 PM
I typically bet on CS:GO matches, and there's really nothing better than HLTV.org for CS:GO. Plenty of news and helpful information like active rosters and potential roster changes as well as a global ranking system for teams and players, forums if you want to talk to others about almost anything, and odds for a few betting sites are also shown on match pages. Pretty much the only site I go to now for analysis.
708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to find bitcoin sellers in australia who are vouged for? on: August 13, 2019, 02:45:00 PM
Paxful still allows in-person cash trades and works similarly to LocalBitcoins; I've used their site many times over the years with few problems. You could also try looking for BTC ATMs in your area using a map like coinatmradar. Most of the ATMs accept cash and some of them don't require any sort of ID in my experience.
709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every thing I touch go down (gravity rulez) on: August 12, 2019, 05:52:19 PM
Not much you can really do but perhaps do some more analysis or improve your analysis so you aren't buying into downtrends as much, though there are times when you're simply a bit unlucky too. Some trades just go down initially and end up going back up again, though, so if possible it's a good idea to set stoplosses to ensure you're not losing more than you have planned. Wait for a good setup to appear and then trade, let the trade come to you. If it keeps happening, just take a break and come back later.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 12, 2019, 05:48:34 PM
I typically just think about cashing out my wins and perhaps buying something I want or have wanted for some time upon winning. I used to just keep gambling until I used all my allocated money up or until my balance was a few times bigger than the initial deposit, but I started to do things differently recently and it's been working pretty well. As much as I'd like to win again (and again), I'd also like to have something new that I can actually use.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dice - why do you play in a particular casino? on: August 12, 2019, 02:54:04 PM
I mainly play on casinos with good reputations and long histories, and casinos with good UIs, helpful features and good support. In the case of dice there's really not much that can be improved on because the game itself is very simple, but I still do look for a site with good support and good reputation in case something happens to go wrong, so I don't have to wait weeks to get my money back. Fast withdrawals and deposits are also important. I can wait a little while for deposits and withdrawals because confirmations take a while to come in, but it definitely helps for a site to have quick withdrawals and perhaps 0-confirmation deposits.
712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sold too damn early!! Kicking myself... on: August 12, 2019, 02:47:49 PM
Good trading is often very boring and not much happens most of the time. If you want action and you're using high leverage and betting on each and every single little price movement, you won't last very long and you're doing it wrong. Proceed at your own pace; profit is profit, and nobody ever bankrupted their account by taking profit. Nobody is a perfect trader at the end of the day, and even the best occasionally take profit too early or too late. Move on to the next trade and try to improve on other things you know you did wrong or poorly. Most important thing is to keep moving forwards.
713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bearish short term but Bullish long term on: August 12, 2019, 01:32:48 PM
I've got some bids set up at the $10ks and staggered lower as well in case the support under us at around $11k falls as well. We've had several wicks into this area so far but no closes under it on the 1H from what I can see, we're likely going under $11k if this fails. Could certainly bounce right back up under $12k and perhaps break through this time as well.
714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: finding virtual prepaid debit card on: August 12, 2019, 01:28:35 PM
There's also several vendors on Paxful that sell prepaid OneVanilla giftcards that are purchased with cash that you could check out. Don't buy the ones with abnormally good rates because they're obtained through phishing and these cards will likely be charged back by the issuer a while after you use them. I've bought several of these prepaid cards in the past few months and they work perfectly, accepted essentially anywhere Visa and MasterCards are accepted.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: too many exchanges and will increase in the future, what do you guys think about on: August 08, 2019, 09:12:58 PM
There absolutely are too many exchanges out there today. I still use the same few exchanges that I used to use a few years ago because very few new exchanges have features good enough to make me switch to a new site, and I also like to keep KYC to a minimum. I support DEXes but I typically don't use them because there's just not enough liquidity on the majority of them.

As for the reason why new exchanges keep coming out, it's because it must be profitable for these sites to be run; most of them likely make money through listing fees for newer coins or just from fees for buying and selling.
716  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie/Student investing problems :) (PS: Not asking for your money XD) on: August 08, 2019, 08:41:30 PM
A pretty safe way to invest that I've been using for quite some time is dollar cost averaging- buying in a set amount every set number of weeks so I average out my entry and don't go all in at one price point. There's really no 'best' way of buying into anything in the end; you could also try going all in at one entry point once you've determined what price is a good buy in point through doing technical analysis as well.
717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tether-bitcoin on: August 08, 2019, 08:29:14 PM
I think Tether is a alternative for Fiat and he is a stablecoin, and I agree that Tether helps BTC move up
Eh, not the best alternative for fiat currency though considering all of the news about Tether in the recent past. There's much better alternatives out there to Tether that are also accepted in a variety of services and exchanges such as USD Coin, which is backed by Coinbase and backed 1:1 unlike Tether, which is likely running a fractional reserve as Artemis3 noted. The printing of Tether sometimes does but not always precede a rise in the price of Bitcoin though.
718  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best websites for bitcoin candlestick charts on: August 08, 2019, 08:21:32 PM
I've been using Bitcoinwisdom.io and cryptowat.ch for quite some time for charting, though I still mostly use Tradingview as a charting solution because there's a wide variety of indicators on the site, but the two sites I mentioned work just fine for basic charting. Pretty good amount of customization as well on both sites, and plenty of pairs as well for whatever you want to look at.

If you just want to use Tradingview for charting, you can also just bookmark your chart page and click on that link to go directly to charts without looking at anything else on Tradingview as well.
719  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in auto collect on: August 08, 2019, 07:58:28 PM
If you really need to download something off the internet in the future and you're not sure if it's infected or not, try running the file through a VirusTotal check (click for link) and run it in a program like Sandboxie to ensure your chances of your computer getting infected are low; there's still risk in doing this, though, and whatever data you have on your computer is almost certainly more valuable to you than the pennies you'll make from freebitco.in.

Don't download anything like this in the future. There's better things to do with your time.
720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the main advantages and disadvantages of your crypto exchange? on: August 08, 2019, 07:39:12 PM
I've been using Paxful to convert my fiat over to BTC for several months now, and it's been pretty good so far. You shouldn't have any problems as long as you're not buying or selling with abnormally high or low rates and trading with high-reputation users, and you don't pay any fees for buying Bitcoin, though you will pay fees if you're trying to sell and these fees vary by payment method. If you're interested, here (click for link) is the fees page for the site. Photo ID also isn't required by all vendors if you're trying to buy BTC, though many do require some form of ID for the best rates.
