Injury time with 11 extra minutes added, South Africa gets a goal to go to make it 3-2 and if this remains like this.. South Africa will be going into the Knockout stage and the Italians just seem not to have an answer for all the goals coming their way and unless the dont score they are going home for sure..can they have the last say, only time will tell!
1642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 02, 2023, 08:37:37 AM
The own goal came in the Italy vs South Africa match and not really sure maybe it was the first own goal in the tournament.
Italian players made a mistake when intending to give the ball to their goalkeeper but did not pay proper attention to the goalkeeper's position
That mistake could cost them dearly, and as things stand South Africa leads the Italians by a goal which means if South Africa holds this win then the Italians will be knocked out which won't be something we imagined especially that they started this match with a goal ahead.

***Edit***
Goal italy 🇮🇹 , oh wait a second VAR is checking this goal for a possible handball..the suspense in this game is nail biting!

Goal stands and the Italians are not going home, now try get a winner to finish off South Africa  Grin
1643  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 02, 2023, 07:46:56 AM
Usually this concept boarders around adding more people to be contributing to the tax revenues of a country , which makes it easy for a government to archive or provide basic needs, deliver a good infrastructure network etc.

What gets better is if this growing population grows to be an educated one, which means skilled labor is readily available but can't say the same for a population of uneducated citizens as this amounts to cheap labor and puts pressure on government resources which is the worst case scenario a government would get!
1644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The beauty of Bitcoin is in use case. on: August 01, 2023, 08:13:17 PM
The more businesses begin to integrate crypto payment in their daily  activities, the more we see real progress regarding the entire concept.

As of today, over 60,000 electric vehicle charging stations now accept Bitcoin across Europe,
thanks to Lightening Network
It would be nice to see extra data attached to this if these guys had the time to collect tallies of how many vehicles use these charging stations...then some extra information can be slapped to this even if it's estimates  Roll Eyes
Btw, extra information patenting to the age group that is using crypto would be helpful too, are the EV users made up of senior citizens,  the new gen or its the millennials..at least with this extra data we can also predict  the future of BTC and crypto in general,  probably know what infrastructure to go with for new charging Hubs in the future!

Cup is a bit harder to evaluate because some players that play for fun submit as well, but I think that this is a list of players that did not submit yet.

Code:
~snip~
Woodie

If you're among them watch out for the deadline - in the Cup being late means being disqualified.
Getting DQed at this point wouldn't be a great way to bow out of the competition, especially that am looking forward to getting past round 2 of the cup.

Otherwise, answers have been submitted, thought for a second I was on holiday like the league participants Tongue
1647  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should P2P on centralized exchanges should be called? on: August 01, 2023, 02:31:06 PM
I have experienced today's p2p exchange services on a platform like Binance, and I don't think it's any different from popular platforms like localbitcoins as both have some centralized mediation to them, if anything the centralized involved expedite the trade to avoid open trades from running without the other party playing their part to complete the exchange.

Besides, there is very little involvement that comes to play on these centralized exchanges as everything is pretty much between the two peers unless some illegal transactions are about to happen.

I think the concept of p2p in each case differs as Decentralized exchange works on automated market maker and a available crypto that will be swapped at the instant while cex p2p requires human intervention as it involves crypto to fiat exchange and vise versa. As it maybe, in as much  as fiat remains valuable, cex p2p plays crucial role in enhancing fiat to crypto conversion. The best thing is for you to know the difference and how they both work.
From how this has been explained,  this actually also protects users from being sold fake coins as the centralized exchange will only credit your account if the real coin is it used, it's not everything about a CEX that is bad Roll Eyes
1648  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefits of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to the global Economic Structure on: August 01, 2023, 01:11:44 PM
5. Hacking is almost impossible
Technology is indeed improving with time. That is why most businesses and companies are now running online. Due to this, the risk of getting hacked has become common these days. The cryptocurrency industry is doing great at providing excellent security options to investors. Nobody can get hacked if they are using blockchain technology. The only thing they need to take care of is how to use these security options.
The fact that New guys joining the cryptospace will always go for convenience over complexity, means issues of account hacks or comprises aren't the thing of the past yet! Week in week out we always read about how users lose funds because some of these wallets on the market's don't have airtight security and these are the same popular wallets we have today that users lose funds from, so hacks aren't yet a thing of the past!

6. Anonymity is beneficial:
Another thing that makes people use this type of currency is that their identity remains anonymous. They don’t have to put a lot of information about them to get started with trading, transactions and investments.
Tbh, I think the coming of crypto has actually put users data out there as most of the crypto platforms we interact with are making KYC a mandatory thing as regulation has crawled to our doors!
1649  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: August 01, 2023, 10:01:26 AM
maybe many people are taking loans online or offline for various urgent reasons, but keep in mind that the habit of making loans will only get you entangled with what is called eternal debt and the possibility of getting addicted to making loans online or offline
Never heard of a thing called addicted to loans!
Regardless of loan addiction being in existence if someone is getting loans regularly then it simply means they are paying them off and lender trusts the recipient to do the same for any new loans.

It only gets bad if paying them off becomes a problem because you have lost or lack the discipline to do so!

I live in a city where the rate of people making loans is quite high until yesterday I heard of a neighbor who was fighting with a debt collector because he was unable to pay but the debt collector belittled the borrower who was unable to pay
Unfortunate circumstance for the fellow, but issues of such confrontation usually borders around bad communication such that even the lender fails to get through to such a person and when the two meet its always drama and fireworks 🎆
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 01, 2023, 05:55:37 AM
The whole Romelu Lukaku saga is becoming tiring, because we have good proposals coming in from Seria A elite teams. Chelsea is reluctant to negotiate any bid for the swap deal with Juventus through intermediaries. Both parties are enthusiastic to negotiate an accord this week. Juventus are bidding for a swap deal with Duan Vlahovic for Romelu Lukaku, which was turned down in July.
Surprisingly a lot of teams are still on the hunt of a striker as they arent many good ones on the market, and Romelu Lukaku's name does come up quite a lot .
And Chelsea still having a say in his business tells me these guys either want to punish the player for a poor service rendered or just want to play tough! Either way, sooner or later they need to let go of him!

The bianconeri will meet with the blues again this week to discuss the proposals, and I hope their talks progress to the important stages because there doesn't seem to be enough time to start meandering around contract issues that arise.
Chelsea trying to turn lemons 🍋 into lemonade of this situation!

I hear Saudi Arabia were interested and maybe this is the cause of the meandering as they see a big money deal to come hence their delaying tactics.
1651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be patient and you will be there soon. on: July 31, 2023, 11:44:30 PM
This is the message  that needs to be preached  more often especially  that more people think crypto investments have shorter lead times when it comes to return on investments!
And it gets worse with all these YouTube videos of how to get rich with crypto and scammers promising  to multiply our money in no time which makes the message of patience very difficult to sell...but like any viable investment, it needs time to mature and once ready we now can harvest our  profits so exercise some patience and let the markets do their thing Cool
1652  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vladimir Putin has forgiven $23 Billion in Dept Owed by Africa countries on: July 31, 2023, 11:28:10 PM
This debt forgiveness coming from Russia is definitely  a way of getting more countries to subscribe to BRICS and challenge the USA, and this should be working in their favor especially that this has come at a time most of these countries are economically stressed!

But while they get to the negotiating table hope they too put Puttin under pressure to end the war with Ukraine 🇺🇦  once and or all as this is the perfect opportunity!!

For me Africa needs more exposure to crypto
But crypto doesn't really help the situation here because  Russia is offering these guys financial help which can't be got from crypto  Roll Eyes

This is some great development for the forum👏 👌 and in the coming years I foresee account hacks minimizing greatly,  possibly account sells will drop too unless 2FA isn't enabled .
Thanks @PowerGlove .

Sorry for the off topic, but I noticed this now and didn't want to pass up the opportunity:

Congratulations @PowerGlove for this badge, which shows what a great contribution you have made to this forum!
Seeing the writing relates to finding security  flaws etc...did he score himself the reward for finding any bugs too? If yes congrats to Power🥊
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC asked Coinbase to halt trading in everything except BITCOIN, CEO says on: July 31, 2023, 07:54:43 PM
As bad as this sounds, this is good for Bitcoin if they will really put pressure on exchanges to halt trading of altcoins. Btw this is a short term benefit which could see all money poring in from altcoins into Bitcoin and pushing its price up!

But what I don't get from these guys.. is how do they differentiate Bitcoin from all other altcoins despite all these falling under the umbrella of being cryptocurrencies!!? Very fishy tbh,  more like divide and conquer....they choose to single out the loudest and once the small coins die then they will come for the big fish 🐟 🤔.  If they want to halt trading on our exchanges let all coins go through  the same treatment without  their current approach, just my 2cents.

1657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 31, 2023, 11:59:22 AM
If Bitcoin ever got to that price of a dollar and people having experienced $70k before...there is no doubt that it would instantly raise as buying pressure would be so high as everyone that has had an opportunity to use BTC would be buying not less than 100 bitcoins to put to their names, which means this low price wouldn't last a day!!

1660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Crypto may go wrong for some people on: July 31, 2023, 05:47:35 AM
A friend of mine recently complain to me about how he loses thousands of dollars to crypto after invest in a token. He now said he is quiting crypto and now comparing crypto investing to that of gambling.
What I don't understand about people saying they got scammed after investing in crypto...is how does this happen??
Think about it, if you are getting $100 worth of bitcoin today then you get the quantity worth that much, meaning plus or minus its only the value changing...Scams with crypto only happen if you invest in a shit coin and value tanks to ZERO!!!

Most people hear about crypto and wish to invest in it without the knowledge of how crypto works. It is a good practice for one to learn the do and don't of whatsoever you want to put your money in.
Most of us have become lazy and want other people to do the heavy lifting for us instead of holding the bull by its horns and doing  the research ourselves.

Why dealing with crypto as if you are gambling? You need to learn to earn with crypto. You gamble with crypto when you invest without adequate research and knowledge of what token/coin you are investing on.
The problem is we have developed a mentality of crypto giving free money and fast returns,  when we all know it's all gambling 🎰  that has this power anything else takes time to mature!
