can't wait to see what's next.....
Let's let the dev team take a little well-deserved breather after a job well done, shall we?

Yes, we shall. And Evan will continue to deliver, just has the Proof of Honor winner has every single time for the past year and a half...
If he says it will be done, you can book it.

You know, my mother was right, patience is a virtue.
As anyone can clearly see by going through updates, is was explained that Masternode Blinding is still very much on the development radar, just postponed temporarily while we create a stable version to be included in our mobile wallet projects, which are currently under development.
When these mobile wallets using V12 are completed, then the plan is to continue the planned path of enabling Masternode Blinding.
At that point, the ever-shrinking material base of the sideshow clown show will be down one more trick, and Dash will be well on its way to becoming a dominant cryptocurrency and payment platform on a global scale.

TestNet Update - v12.0.29 - TESTNET ONLY!eduffield - Implement planned hard forks, August 24, 2015 - Masternode inv messages / save seen in mncache - only take newest votes - Fixed budget syncing issues / forking issues / syncing issues … - Budgets now store the seen objects locally so they're not overwritten when saving/loading to check validity of budget.dat - Added safer sync "failure" mode, that will retry an hour later if the sync fails for some reason. This will stop the client from thinking it has budget data and rejecting blocks when they're valid. - protocol bump - version bump UdjinM6 - more info for masternode count output/rpcconsole dialog - include lastPing in mnb hash calculation We're getting pretty close to having something stable for mainnet. Please update if you're helping out testing!https://dashtalk.org/threads/v12-testing-thread.5484/page-87#post-60851 Hey Evan, On Dashtalk you say"we probably release V12 in a week or so",and in your post i see hardfork on 24 August, when is V12 released?in a week or so or on 24 August? V12 should be released in around a week, barring any unforeseen development. People will be given ample time to update, and then a hard fork will be performed on August 24th. (Fixed your quotes)

bump Great article! But I've been hammering home on Twitter lately that this is only one of three major Bitcoin problems that Dash has solved in less than two years: Bitcoin Problem Dash SolutionPrivacy/Fungibility Darksend, renders transactions untraceable, and incapable of being discriminated against Slow Transaction Times InstantX, using the power of the masternode network to guarantee transactions Unbiased Funding Sources Decentralized Governance by Blockchain, giving Dash a permanent revenue stream What Evan and Crew have done here in less than two years is nothing short of extraordinary, and it's only a matter of time before the quality that is Dash will shine through to the naysayers...

yeah we got the puppy in here! What are we on, like a 3 month rolling schedule? I'm too busy for it to be anything less! Anyway, I'm not going to become the spammer I came here to chastise...good luck to you folks!

Whenever you make such a polarizing decision such as that, you're bound to have dissenters. Most agree that the name change was a sound long term decision. The general public casts a better view on "Digital Cash" than "DARKcoin", from my talks with people on the subject.

How picturesque would the Monero lifeboat look sailing around the Crypto-Bermuda triangle searching and saving the survivors and lost souls of shipwrecked projects and pirated ruins. Or like 8XMR said, perhaps performing as a stable and secure alternative will in turn create new community members based on merit alone.
Either way, I look forward to watching the community grow, and with all the recent active development it sure is an exciting time.
Thank you for clarifying in good English. I agree very much Merit will attract new members. We can save some sinking passenger from other ships, but some so attached that they prefer drown over rescue. Development will help us in make bigger ship. Will have room for more member of poor tech education. Currently some member not understand how to board. XMR ship will easier understand and ride soon. Just so you know, our Dash ship is sailing just fine, no need to come "save" us with regurgitated bullcrap. I respect the other projects, and wish you well. History will decide which cryptos survive and which ones fail. Please refrain from spamming our thread with drivel. Thanks, this is all I will say here on this subject.

Seriously, is that the best you guys have? Your material gets worse and worse...you do more damage to your own investment than to us. Listen, when you start to become a parody of yourself, it's time to throw in the towel.

From one of the original masternode testnetters...been away for a little while, v.12 hit the scene, and it seems like I'm back to masternode kindergarten.
This next update is a monster!
You can say that again, yet it's working beautifully. This next release is achieving a lot. First, the reference node is gone, that was a big one. But second, the proposal system and payment by blockchain is also going to be implemented. Imagine what it takes! And they got it right, just tweeking here and there and we're almost done I so can't wait for V12 to hit mainnet... It's current Dash tech on steroids, plain and simple.

EDIT: witht the status of MN as provider of service, it would be great to enable them to do many service and get more payment, yes ?
Yes, that is the plan. Once the core technology is completely solid, the options for value added businesses on the masternode network are numerous. And yes, anyone who uses our network will have to pay. A masternode could be literally worth millions someday.

No matter how much time certain individuals waste in trying to discredit Dash, it is history that will judge whether or not any crypto project is successful. The more certain people post here, the more desperate and pathetic they look. Especially when their material is clearly grasping at straws, and has no teeth to do any damage whatsoever. The clown sideshow continues...

I'm sure anyone reading this is intelligent enough to realize the difference between a medium of exchange (Dash) and the people who decide to use it (some good, some bad). No crypto is evil, what you choose to do with it can be open for debate.

Wow! Interesting thread you guys have here. Drk is nice and all but in the eyes of many, perhaps BTC will always be king. I could possibly see Drk replacing Ltc though as the silver of Btc.
Thanks for the encouragement! You could be right about that, let's just let history decide where Dash ends up...I've definitely been noticing ice melting as far as our reputation goes, and more people jumping to our defence against attacks.

One thing is obvious: DASH is noted and getting (deserved) attention
DASH price rising, and it's second on Altcoin trading volume even without Cryptsy numbers:

Teter Podd is obviously all butthurt Maybe he turned against Dash after reading this: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/evan-duffield-dash-darkcoin-dash-will-position-direct-competitor-bitcoin/Fact of the matter is: He refuses to bring forth one solid argument against Evan's product. Obscure innuendos are usually indicators of insecurity. Is he a smart computer scientist? No doubt. Is he a person with human emotions and human weaknesses? Hard to believe, but yea, he is. The entire blocksize debate has proven how poor character traits can bring progress to a screeching halt and I feel he is projecting his frustrations onto what he perceives as a menace to "his baby". War with other nations is -among other purposes- used to distract from inner political conflicts. No wonder he chose our self-declard enemy TR(o)L(lero) to praise when he thinks this "pushes our buttons". Well, I for one, am not triggered. I am willing to bet that he has never tried the Dash or Monero wallets for comparision ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTSA_sWGM44And with the way V12 is coming along, fuggedaboutit...
