1681  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the bitcoin price prediction for 2020? on: September 11, 2019, 07:57:09 AM
If you think that bitcoins nature is going sideways and negative that means you haven't been involved with bitcoin for too long. Bitcoin was less than 1 dollar when it started, of course it was couple cents but moved to 30 cents very quickly, we all remember the 10k bitcoin pizza deal as well, as you can see people spent like less than 50 bucks to get 10k bitcoins. Then it became bigger, happened to be around 100-250 dollars levels in 2013 or so, than it was over 1400 during 2014 and than it was over 20k during 2017 and now in 2019 it has managed to break above 4k to reach 10k, as you can see bitcoin always goes up, yes we are still not at the heights of 20k once again but that doesn't mean bitcoins nature is negative, it has huge positive potential in it.
1682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did fear cause that sharp dump? on: September 11, 2019, 05:37:28 AM
Why is fear the first thing that comes to mind? This cyclical up and down with 10k right down the middle's just almost exactly what should have normally happened a year ago when 10k was first visited for normalisation.

Below the middle is buy in, perfect entry points. Above that is selloff. Perfect exits.
Sometimes, people are just lust in their thinking, you know that human being thinks to wide and some think to the extreme, if right is going to pay such huge amount of money, I don’t know in any way that it has affected bitcoin. There are so many people that has even dumped more than that amount and it still has not effect on bitcoin.

Recently, I heard of about $1 billion dollars being moved from the market, if that one did not effect bitcoin, because if it does, the value would have come down far beyond this, so as I was saying, if that 1 billion dollar didn’t affect bitcoin, then why would this small amount of money to be paid by Craig Wright even have any effect. So this punishment serves hi right and for the rest of his life.
1683  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC delays decision on ETF again on: September 11, 2019, 05:01:02 AM
No, they do have a limited amount of delays in their arsenal left, some of them had their last delay for example which means they will be getting a result no matter what, it could be rejection (most likely) or they could get accepted but it will be the last one. If you read the article you will see that there is usually delays that got limited and not times which means they could delay it as much as they want but with time in between longer than usual instead of times they delay.

Let's say they can delay it only 3 times, they could just make it like 1 year apart from each other to postpone for over 3-4 years span and that would basically make sure ETF will not be hyped about at all, I honestly think one will be accepted eventually tho, not soon but eventually.
1684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell now at 9.5K or use emergency cash? on: September 11, 2019, 04:19:53 AM
Look bitcoin might be the greatest invention since sliced bread but if you need money then you need money. Never put too much pressure on your expenses with credit cards and loans and what not. This doesn't feel like a thing you should use your emergency cash for, emergency cash should always be put aside for health related stuff, I always do that, if your car broke down then you can take a bus to work at the very worst option however if your liver brakes down then you don't have an option to pick from and have to do something about it. Hence, emergency should always be for health related stuff.

I would say cash out whatever bitcoin and ethereum you need, whatever crypto you have cash them out, not all of it, just the amount you need for these things (if you need all then cash out all) then when your kids have the stuff they need and your car is brand new or you bought your friends car whatever you can start from zero and start getting more bitcoin afterwards when your economy is stable.
1685  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitdouble.io |social gambling game |Prov fair | 0.005 mBit faucet | New PVP game on: September 10, 2019, 02:17:47 PM
I'm waiting bitdouble.io from last week it's still in maintance i check this site everyday is it back to work or not

please someone tell me how much time bitdouble is under maintance

it has been 10 days already , sounds like something bigger than a simple technical malfunction
would be nice if admins come and inform the users about the issue
I don't have pending withdrawals or anything , but I enjoyed coming to chat and betting from time to time
it is a cool site and would be terrible to see it disappear
Even if the website is not closed right now, it means it will be closed very soon. How many casinos can actually return from "sorry we have been inactive for weeks now" to "we are back and getting great numbers again" all of a sudden?

If they are gone than that means they have been gone for a while already, if they are not gone than it means there is still a chance they will comeback, maybe pay people their money but than nobody will want to play here because of what happened and the casino will be closed anyway, so they have to choice but a result with closed casino in the end no matter what happened right now.

Knowing that (I mean I know this, so the owner must know this anyway) they might not even comeback anymore because they will lose all their profits so why not keep peoples money.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 08, 2019, 07:31:50 AM
It is indeed gambling but compared to gambling, time is your enemy, you have no idea when are the coins that you are hodling will reach their all-time high, and every day you have to follow the market and how your portfolios react, one thing that you need to study or to plan is when is the right to sell your coin.
It’s completely different, the only thing that would make it a bit looking similar is the fact they both involve risk but aside that, they are not the same at all.

Gambling is purely a game of luck and full of uncertainty while crypto holding is just a mini risky investment and anything investment is and will always be safer compared to gambling. The only reason some people compare gambling and crypto holding is because they are both unpredictable but still we all know that money I kept in bitcoin will never get exhausted no matter how down the market might go, it could go down and the next minute bull run but in gambling, once the money is gone, it can never be recovered.
1687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: September 07, 2019, 07:48:50 PM
I would either keep my money safe in a fixed deposit account and enjoy dividends or buy Bitcoin to hold.

It is a safe method to prevent from a loss Grin

The different on here will be we use games and an asset to risk the money, and we hope to get a profit from binary option and gambling. But the risk will be bigger in gambling than binary option since I guess we can learn hard on a binary option from many websites. The other difference will be if in binary option when we lose, we are getting stress and sad. But in gambling, if we lose, we could still have fun without thinking about the loss itself.
In my opinion, I will say that nothing is safe, be it binary option, gambling or whatever that has to do with online money making. Nothing beats having a business you can focus your mind into and ignore taken unprofitable risks in online gambling that never pays.

The upper poster has made his point very clear and I stand with that I a way, instead of putting money into gambling or even binary option, I think it is more preferable to keep it in an account where it would be safe even though the expected interest will be very small but me as a business person would rather run a business with it believing it will grow and I do not stand any chance of losing than gambling or binary option.
1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think altcoins will be used for in the future. on: September 07, 2019, 07:28:16 PM
I suppose altcoins will be used in payments. Also i think  it can be used like cash, now it can be volatile.
I think most of the altcoins in the market mostly claim their usefulness as payment and they were meant not serve as an alternative to bitcoin, same way that bitcoin is created to serve as alternative to fiat, but the altcoins that we have now are just having similar technologies and not coming up with new innovations, if altcoins really wants to start having popularity like bitcoin, they first of all need to come together, and then re-strategies by reducing the number of altcoins that we have in the market, they have to merge for ones that can merge and dispose some that are just there lazy to push their projects. Altcoins anyway will only be used in other to supplement to the use of bitcoin, because bitcoin is the only decentralized coin in the market.
1689  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Choose your lucky number 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: September 07, 2019, 06:35:06 PM
I think it is more about strategy over how much people gamble. For example a guy could play with 1 bitcoin but if he wins too many times in a row he will want to drop it to 1 satoshi to hit that red eventually and then go back.

Of course, 1 bitcoin is a big example and nobody who gambles 1 bitcoin would mind between 10 satoshi and 1 satoshi, but people who gamble for low numbers like lets say 50-100 satoshi each bet, those people will want under 10 to do those strategic reds, if you hit 5-6 greens in a row you go bare minimum in order to get that red and when you hit the red you continue a bit more to see how reddish it looks and after you hit couple reds in a row you go back to regular size bets. Hitting 50-100 satoshi per bet is not bad and of course nobody has to take 10 satoshi minimum out but I just wanted to share the reason why people do that.
1690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Success on: September 07, 2019, 06:03:17 PM
And now is not the best time to buy bitcoin. But I think many will disagree with me).
Yeah, I want to disagree  Grin as you predicted. I want to ask why you think or say now is not right to buy bitcoin. I know price will soon boom, so don't you think buying now will be good for $15,000 take profit  Grin
If you do not buy bitcoin now, then when does he think would be the best time, maybe he is among those ones that believes that bitcoin would still drop to $7000 and I see them hoping unnecessary on a price that has been buried and gone forever, I read a prediction last week where the person said that bitcoin value will crop back to $7000 this month and if not below, then I asked what will make the rice drop, what panic news will send signal?

We should just forget about listening to some opinions at times, because everyone that you see here is not completely briefed about cryptocurrency, we just speculate prices based on our own guessing and believe which is not right, better we confirm some opinions before using.
1691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: President Trump going against BitCoin | JP Morgan Using BitCoin to trade drug on: September 07, 2019, 05:13:11 PM
So how is that supposed to really be related to cryptocurrency, before cryptocurrency was introduced, where they not carrying all these illegal items before? Or did they use cryptocurrency to convey it over the sea? There are cases where they have even discovered those illegal items that are worth much more than what they caught with JP Morgan and the money actually came through sources that it’s not bitcoin, so I really don't see any reason why they have to now relate both.

Trump has said his own and we have heard, but we chose to stay with it. He said the cryptocurrency is unlawful if not regulated, and then what is he waiting for to regulate it when he can easily make it become a safe asset that will still bring money into his country if regulated.
1692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking system and BTC on: September 07, 2019, 04:31:16 PM
Bitcoin has an advantage over fiatbecause its amount is limited and it can't fall under inflation.Inflation usually is caused by monetary policies of our central banks. Bitcoin is free from inflation, governement control and  high transaction fees.Banks can’t control BTC because it has no representative and is fully decentralized. That's why banks are afraid of BTC.
It cannot kill banking system because fiat cannot die, if you ever think that fiat will die, it is a lie, fiat has eaten so deep into the financial system that it will take so much decades to take it off people’s mind and government that would have enforced cryptocurrency would not do it because they understand that it is an internet based money and not everyone would be able to have access to it.

For as long as fiat still exists, banks will always exist, but because bitcoin is gaining so much attention of the internet base people, they might lose their relevance over the internet while they continue to gain their solid ground on the physical world where you have so many illiterates that are also using bank. Bitcoin too came not as a replacement, but as an alternative.
1693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin get banned worldwide? on: September 07, 2019, 10:17:19 AM
It's pseudonymous.

You are looking at half empty glass, many countries are going towards regulations rather than bans, however, there is small minority that wants to ban, I hope they realize cryptos are here to stay and make necessary improvement.

They will never regulate crypto. They can't even regulate or get people to pay tax so crypto is the last thing on the governments list.

What is your say on these countries where crypto is already regulated: US, Australia, Prague, New Zealand.
Maybe he does not read news, or maybe because his own government is too weak, then he underestimated the power other government and I am glad you have given him samples of countries that has regulated cryptocurrency which we even still have Switzerland also, and their banks are beginning to make cryptocurrency transaction, we still have so many other countries who may not have regulated cryptocurrency, but they have quite been friendly with it like Malta and others.

Regulating cryptocurrency is a very simple thing for the government to achieve if they really want to, it would never take them less than days for them to come up with some policy that they will effect and then regulate crypto, but I thing they want to take things easy and see how they will study the use of cryptocurrency properly before regulating it.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Congress Urged to Regulate Crypto Sector Under Bank Secrecy Act on: September 06, 2019, 06:41:00 PM
For me, if firms are going to be regulated, then they should work it that such forms don't defraud the people and shut down someday, and not to start making hell-like policies to discourage investors, when a harsh policy is formulated, investors can seek alternatives by going underground, this way, the government stand a chance of losing more form revenue.
What I know is that the use of cryptocurrency will still accommodate both, I mean those who wants to use it anonymously and those who wants to use it un-anonymously, so it does not not even matter if government comes up with a harsh policy, we will still accept it and those who can work under the policy will diver the attention of government away from those who wishes to use it anonymously.

The most important thing that we need from the regulation of government is just for them to help us scared those who are using it illegally way and those who are coming with bad projects, at least before any ICO can register, they will need to get permit for it and anyone without that permit would be seen as an illegal or scam project. We need that seal on them to be able to identify good one.
1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: you can be the richest man in the world if you travel to 2013 time machin on: September 06, 2019, 06:06:56 PM
Well, obviously I'm gonna buy bitcoin, bitcoin and bitcoin. If I  have known bitcoin from 2013, I will not be hesitant to purchase many of them. Although the value of bitcoin that time is not that high because the potential is just starting to grow and only few are patronizing it that time. Who would have thought that bitcoin will go this far? Anyway, I just knew bitcoin last year and I admire those bitcoin holders since before until now.
We still have lots of price growth to achieve on bitcoin for the future, and if we work down now, this is how most of the people in future too who are not a crypto holder would also and=mire us, I am sure they would also regret that when they could have bought bitcoin for $10,000, they did not buy it, and we will be happy also that we held bitcoin tight till that time.

Bitcoin investment is a great investment and it has lots of future in it, we just have to continue to make investment as much as we want to. I know that we have lots of people that would pull out along the line, especially those who always sell at a little increase that they see without having a fund that is separated for a permanent long term holding, if I were them, I would be wise to keep my money till like 10 years while I use another fiat for trading for short profit.
1696  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your Bitcoin price prediction for 2019 on: September 06, 2019, 05:13:47 PM
Possibility wise it is quite possible but do you really think its probable? I mean we are already in September and unless something major happens we are stuck here for a little bit more while.

Obviously, this is finance and this is crypto with its decentralized unregulated nature it could go to 20k+ tomorrow and we would be all shocked how it happened but we would all know that its possible to happen. That is why I think people do not believe bitcoin would go above 20k but they are saying that full on knowing it could totally happen at any given moment same as it could also drop back to 4k at any moment as well but we believe that won't happen anytime soon. Usually these things happen really fast but not in 24 hours, like if we go up to 20k it would take about a week and not in a day so we would be taking a look at it when its happening.
1697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did fear cause that sharp dump? on: September 06, 2019, 03:41:13 PM
I doubt fear plays into price as much as people think it does. Everyone likes to be the superhero and whenever prices fall a bit they want to be the guy who say "Well I didn't sell because I am not afraid and I am brave and I believe in bitcoin, some other scared afraid people sold with panic" and make themselves feel better and I understand that, everyone wants to be superior than others in every aspect if possible even tho its impossible.

However, I think people are not afraid of bitcoin anymore, at least not on these prices, they think this is something small and tiny and these movements do not make that much difference, dropping from 11k to 9k? Its nothing nowadays, its something we would all expect from bitcoin because its a volatile currency.
1698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO IS ALIVE AND KICKING on: September 06, 2019, 03:15:48 PM
ICO is no longer a financially profitable way to invest. He is too dangerous and unpredictable. In view of this, as you said above, the IEO came on the scene, a
nd Binance demonstrated by his example that the IEO on their platform always brings money to its investors, which is very commendable.
I am glad that all major exchanges are not far behind Binance.
but we can't say that all ICO may be at risk, but there are still many safe ICO as long as we can choose correctly,
maybe one of the ways is to follow the ICO presale, or private ICO, usually big projects do this before the official ICO launch,
and there is also an IEO done after pre ICO or Private ICO.
In 2017, we had lost of very great a project that was released to the market, and I believe that those companies till today are still existing, I mean similar companies. There is no way that all the companies that we have in the whole world are bad, there are still people coming up with different ideas and having genuine intention as to why they want to raise funds, and when they finished raising funds, they use it for the purpose for which they want to use it for.

I have never neglected ICO and I still participate in many of them and the majority of the ones that I have participated in is quite good and is perfect. Some of them are also from IEO anyway, but we still have some IEO too that are scam, but with through the investigation that I do on these projects, I do get great ones.
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: September 06, 2019, 08:18:47 AM
I have only been making use of cryptocurrency for just two purposes and nothing else. The two purposes I use cryptocurrencies is for transactions and for investments. It has been really helpful from the start, and how I came to know about it and started making use of it is through searching for means of transactions.

It is a means for transactions in the work I do, I am able to receive and send money among my colleagues and it has been really helpful. Then as for investment , cryptocurrencies has been another means of income for me and I have been able to earn a lot of side income by just investing money in cryptocurrency. 2017 has been a year that I will never forget ,that's the biggest year for me and the kind of profit i made from cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin ,is more than what I have ever made from any other type of investment.

I will be happy to see another year like that and the way I see it next year is likely to be like that or maybe not. Even if doesn't come in the next ten years I won't really bother much because I have already made a lot from it.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next year will determine the fate of altcoins on: September 06, 2019, 06:38:35 AM
Be patient, and we still have a few months before this year ended. So while we are waiting, we could prepare for the next growth of the market, and you can buy any coins (again) this time before the price will increase later. We can hope that the time will come for the market to grow again, and we don't want that hope is gone, so we need to remember that the market will be back to the higher price. And if the growth of the market is not happening this year, we can hope that it will happen in the next year.
Anything could happen at the dyeing minute. I have seen so many people that their story changes even at 31st of December and made them for life. When things wants to turn around, it only takes little time, prior to when bitcoin start its momentum from April this year, few days to that time, there was still no much difference in the market situation, there was no even sign and even  the analyst could not see it, but majority of us just woke up to it too and we saw that bitcoin had grown to $5000, many people were even doubting because it clashed with the popular April fool day, so what I am saying the essence is that we still have more time like you said, and many of us believe that there would be some changes in this last quarter of the year.
