Assets on the Asset Exchange will have its own "coinmarketcap" rankings soon  Grin

When will NEM be added?

Soon!  I'm in the process of creating a separate section for the Nxt Asset Exchange.

Do you have an ETA for adding Nxt? I saw a twitter reply that Nxt was being added next but not heard anything since then.

Thanks  Grin

The "most favoured" version of NRS is now 1.1.5  Grin

Remember to update:

NRS v1.1.5: https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-1-5/

NxtWallet v1.1.5: https://nxtforum.org/alternative-clients/(windows-mac-linux)-nxtwallet/msg50134#msg50134

Other Clients are available here, just check they are on v1.1.5: https://nxtforum.org/alternative-clients/

A cautionary tale:

****
A user came onto the forums recently wondering where his forging balance had gone to. He had been forging since January with 2500 NXT and had managed to forge another 2500 NXT. If you have been around long enough, this should set alarm bells ringing in your head too...

It turns out he had not upgraded since around v0.4.x and was forging on a fork (not on the same chain as everyone else). When he upgraded, he caught up with the 'real' blockchain and of course his forged revenue evaporated as they never occured on the 'real' blockchain.

So if you aren't on the latest Client and are forging regularly with a small amount of Nxt, you haven't found a bug that let's you take more than your fair share  Cheesy You are most likely on a fork and are wasting your time. So upgrade!  Grin
****

Believe it or not, there is still a peer running 0.4.7e (a fork), 0.5.0, 0.5.5, 0.5.10. Only single peers but still not upgraded. 78% are running 1.1.4 or 1.1.5.

And the devs are cooking something up as there is a single 1.1.6 too...  Grin

TL:DR Upgrade to avoid the disappointment of being on a fork.
1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 23, 2014, 08:28:34 AM
is nxtty made by nxt dev team?

It is made by landomata, who is a long standing Nxter but I don't believe he has been involved with the Nxt core.

You can find out more info here: https://nxtforum.org/nxt-mobile-app-co

And the last one from this round of spamming....  Grin

For anyone that missed it, here is Jean-Luc's write up on the GLEFU incident  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Interesting how far a discussion based on incorrect assumptions can go. There has been no malformed or malicious transaction whatsoever. There is no bug in the AE code.

The only bug was in the calculation of unconfirmed balances for accounts that long time ago had a transaction with referenced transaction set, while having a balance less than 100 NXT. It resulted in those accounts being incorrectly refunded a deposit against their unconfirmed balance, which deposit they never paid in the first place, thus leading to the unconfirmed balance being higher than the real balance. The fix was to start deducting/refunding this deposit only after a certain block, in the past, at a point where this logic was already there.

And since unconfirmed balance should never be higher than actual balance, the RuntimeException is there to enforce this constraint and protect against any future bugs that may lead to such an invalid account state.

Nxters wanted it and now it is happening...  Grin

A Nxt Android Client is in development (one of at least two that I know of). The Nxt AE was used to crowd-source funds the developer and in 5 days he raised 135,897 Nxt  Shocked

Nxt Automated Transactions (Turing complete trustless escrows, lotteries, auctions and more) has finished its second round of testing  Shocked

Next step...

Unit tests > Use Case testing > Core integration

How integration will happen is underway, AT will be run on its own testnet (AT-testnet) first and they are looking for guys to help by running AT-testnet nodes. Go to >>> https://nxtforum.org/automated-transactions/information-of-the-at-project/ if you think you can help  Grin

Multigateway should have a new user interface next week   Grin Grin Grin  And testing seems to be coming along well, go to the thread below if you want to help test.

OK, so are there any missing deposits or withdraws from anyone? Or is MGW running fine?
Enhanced NXTservices GUI is expected next week!
so lets find all MGW API level bugs today, at least the ones that we can manually find

the next step is to write automated test programs that will try to break MGW

I think I know him as one of the main blackcoin guys during the huge pump and dump.

I don't have anyone on ignore  Grin
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big scam in NXT hundreds of BTC stolen with a one post on: June 22, 2014, 08:52:36 AM
i am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo sure that is his first coin  Roll Eyes

games.. bullshit.. scammin' ....welcome to the interweb
and when it comes to Crypto land of FREE money sorry go away with your bs i'm not buyin'

i say clone when a shadowy scum bag sits around thinking of ways to get away with posting new coins with out getting flamed
and any kind of complicated scheme is always a sure fire method of them getting away with it around here time after time..
obviously i am not the gullible idiot here.. as usual a lot of comments are designed to defend dumb ass bs crap
for the crowd of idiots they know are watching.. they are putting on a show for the lemmings

So you are arguing Nxt isn't breaking new ground?

Is there another successful exchange as fast as Asset Exchange I don't know about? Or decentralised crypto to crypto trading that isn't Nxt Multigateway?
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big scam in NXT hundreds of BTC stolen with a one post on: June 22, 2014, 07:52:57 AM
it's called deliberately making something complicated to trick the less smart as a means of scamming.

a classic method .

cloners make a new coin for any reason they can think of.. coin cloners sit around thinking of new excuses to make coins ..infinitely.
not for a constructive purpose but to simply make money. IE: 90% of all coins here .

get it ?

i think you do.. all along..
but as usual you scam supporters play little games and try fanboy and defend scammy crap

..for money.

Nxt isn't a clone and is doing things that haven't been done before. I wouldn't expect people to see the significance overnight.

The ideas in Nxt are simple. A decentralised exchange (AE), a way to build coins on top of Nxt secured by Nxt (Monetary System), digital ebay (Digital Goods Store), trustless transactions including escrow (Automated Transactions), peer to peer crypto to crypto trading (multigateway) and more. If Nxt's development was slower then it would be easier to explain each one as it came through but Nxt attracted a lot of devs so a lot is going on at the same time.

If you don't understand you just have to ask.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: drown.. on: June 22, 2014, 07:27:13 AM
all i know is i am thoroughly sick and tired of seeing this placed hammered with various scam coin crap
from the usual guys with the same over-complicated little scams such NXT and NEM etc etc etc
half of all topics 24/7 on page one are this dumb bullshit. (posted and bumped by the same 4 or 5 guys)

wasting your time advertising your crap guys, most of us will laugh at you and ignore your scam coin for eternity.
quit trying to find ways to scam for cash and sucker in noobs and confuse them to hell and back with overcomplicated little schemes.

If you don't understand it that doesn't make it overly complicated.

In what way is it a scam?
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT WHY ALL THE HATE on: June 21, 2014, 05:47:56 PM
I heard the NXT initial distribution was only among the founders
false Wink

He's right....NXT's 1billion coins were distributed to around 6 people...Worst distribution ever. Now they own all of NXT and dump whenever the price rises a little.

We have a winner  Cheesy Cheesy 6 is the lowest I have seen among all FUDsters, take a bow  Grin impressive stuff

Do you think there are only 6 people using Nxt now?
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 21, 2014, 11:19:22 AM
24% have upgraded so far, good to say the release is less than a day old.

The biggest good news is, the network as a whole has increased by 18% in the last week. Good work people! But we need more nodes before CfB is happy enough to fully implement Transparent Forging.

The network is the one thing clones can't clone, it is our best asset. Let's make sure we look after it and make it stronger Grin

I though transparent forging was already running. How is it generating blocks now?

The last I saw, CfB said TF was 50% implemented. There also won't be a point where you can say 'TF started here". I think it is made up of several elements interacting, a larger network being one of them.

Current forging is a kind of lottery, each Nxt being a ticket. Part of what decides who "wins" is the base target (%). Once transparent forging is fully implented, you will know the forging order so this will not be needed. It is just for boostrapping phase and is discussed in the second or third of BCNexts essays, IIRC.
1718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big scam in NXT hundreds of BTC stolen with a one post on: June 21, 2014, 11:05:37 AM
How much did he actually raise? Was it a full 400 BTC?

Even after you see scams happening everyday, they still fall for the same trick.

Roughly 79 BTC, 49 of it targetted from one member. Btc began moving 2min after the post asking for btc at regular intervals and even after it was realised something was wrong, totalling around 200Btc. They were asking for 400btc. No one has claimed these transfers so are thought to be "trust paymets" from the scammer to make it look legitimate. The Nxt technology wasn't involved, nor did any NXT change hands. It was done through a forum post asking for BTC, the old fashioned way..

People are p!ssed with blumeanie as he was given 1million Nxt to develop a feature for Nxt, cashed it in for tens of thousands of dollars, didn't write a single line of code and then blows up calling Nxters the criminals. And believes he has done nothing wrong.

He conflates this with an idea that he didn't issue and wasn't for the asset he promotes and gives full backing to in a post using his PGP signature. This is the one he was paid to develop. As he didn't issue that asset, he believes it is ok to keep the 1 million Nxt he got paid to develop it. And no, I don't see the logic either Roll Eyes

I can't watch the video right now, did we actually hire her to do a voice over?!
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big scam in NXT hundreds of BTC stolen with a one post on: June 20, 2014, 11:52:28 PM

Cheesy you're two days late trying to whip up FUD with this. This was a bug and has already been fixed in version 1.1.5.

Nxt Multigateway testing (crypto to crypto trading without an exchange, mtgox never again) is going well, the new GUI will make it easier for average joe to test (ask me how) but in the meantime Nxt is being added to hitbtc 'very soon' so it will have more fiat gateways into EUR and USD  Grin interesting times
