That clean sheet wipeout at the end must have been painful for United owners, especially for those with double defense. I think Shaw went from 9-10 points to 1 in a matter of minutes, the yellow and then the pen.

Small red arrow for me, considering that the FH32 had a couple of fixtures on me, it's a decent enough result.

Would be nice if get early City team news, if Haaland/Grealish are given a rest before their game with Real Madrid...i might take a punt on Alvarez or Mahrez (if we know they start), Leeds shipped 23 goals last month.
Everybody is looking at that City game with similar ideas. I know I am taking Alvarez or Wilson for Jota and hoping for some early team news.

Anybody want a bet with me, I am saying FPL servers are going down on Saturday  Grin

I have a Grealish and March dilemma. I don't trust Pep to start Grealish in four consecutive games, and even if he does, he won't play more than 70 mins. Halaand, too, but I believe 70 mins is enough for Halaand to haul, but I can't say the same for Grealish, and I don't trust March at the moment.

What are your thoughts on Jesus => Solanke?

I had Grealish but I don't find the to transfer him because I have Callum wilson as my first substition, and I was not going to be the Jota early news because because he's being fantastic since returning, and if there is any chance he's fit enough to play, Jurgen Klopp wouldn't not risk leaving him on the bench.

But then, Haaland letting is millions of users that captained him down, and his worse decision of the was him handing the penalty responsibilities to Gundogan, and even Guardiola was visibly happy with that decision and was telling Haaland to have taken the penalty, I would understand that he'd need is best threat on the front line still full of confidence going into the CL game against Madrid. However, it's better Gundogan missing the PK, than it being Haaland for FPLers right ?

Lol I can't believe slackovic won the tennis question by putting almost same answer as all of us but that's his luck Wink I wish I get a round where my opponent is late or doesn't show though, just not the next round since it's already relegation for me hehe

And don't worry mate Harkorede, you can go ahead and win this without any feeling of guilt. I made my own destiny many times in this league, so it is fully my doing, not you or anyone Wink

I think Tsitsipas actually made the finals this time because I didn't pick him, If I did, he would have gotten eliminated either from round 1 or 2 by a mediocre player. Despite the fact that this pool had made learn quite more about tennis to some decent level a lot of players and their strength and weaknesses is something I've gained from the pool so, I value it, but as for Dota 2, it's a yuck for me! I'd rather have some CS:GO.

------------------------------

I understand you mate but the 2nd division should be a very competitive one for the next season too, imo, GL!

I think the Dota 2 final result is already determined, and if I'm not mistaken the list is Gladiators, 9 Pandas, Team Liquid, and Evil Geniuses, I got 3 correctly because I had no idea, Gladiators were going to play Team Spirit in the first game, but Team Spirit were just awful even in after falling to lower.

Booker went crazy tonight for the Suns. Him and Durant both put up big numbers but his efficiency stands out as what made the difference in this game. I figured the Suns would bring it tonight. This win gives them a little life as the series is now 2-1 with the nuggets still in the lead. If the Suns can win the next one then they’ll have some hope after all.

It got really close at some point for the Nuggets today, but my strongest opinion on the game is that the absence of Chris Paul made The Suns less predictable with Paul doing less of the ball handling, so it made Kevin Durant and Devin Booker chemistry more prominent, and they were able to dictate the game's momentum and make every one around them better individually too.

What a turn around for both the Lakers and GSW in game 2. The Warriors just completely destroyed Lakers' defense. What's even interesting is that it does not involved Kevon Looney that much, GSW played small ball, quick plays, and very efficient in the 3rd.
AD also had a huge turnaround from game 1 with his poor performance today.
Overall poor performance for the Lakers in game 2, despite of the hot start from LeBron and Hachimura.
Let's see if they can bounce back from this blowout in their 2 game home stand.

When you take away the very cheap free throws the Lakers get and Anthony Davis and Lebron blatant fouls being called as legal blocks, they are barely as good as the Houston Rockets were this season, 29-6 free throws attempt as seen in game one is more than enough to decide any NBA playoff game, and if you take just 10 free throws from game 1, the Lakers would 2 - 0 right now.

I like the changes that were by Steve Kerr, what the Warriors need in this series is just one big at a time that can shoot more than 50% midrange attempts and that's not Kevon Looney, and they proper care of the ball like they did today, and for God's sake Jordan Poole should be the last rotation option, or at least should never play point guard position again for this playoffs, he is the biggest loophole in the Warriors 2nd unit roster.

Bucks fire coach Mike Budenholzer after early exit
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37424110/sources-bucks-fire-coach-mike-budenholzer-early-exit
Quote
The Milwaukee Bucks have fired coach Mike Budenholzer after the East's top seed suffered a first-round playoff loss to the Miami Heat.

"The decision to make this change was very difficult," Bucks general manager Jon Horst said in a statement Thursday. "Bud helped lead our team for five incredible seasons, to the Bucks' first title in 50 years, and into an era of sustained success. We are grateful for the culture of winning and leadership that Bud helped create in Milwaukee.

Holy sh*t! What is the Bucks's management thinking?
Coach Bud helped them win a championship in 2021 and now they are firing him just because of an early exit which is not his fault. Yeah, he made some mistakes, crucial ones, but there is no perfect coach in the league. In game 1 Lakers vs Warriors, I also thought Steve Kerr made a big mistake by not calling a timeout when they tied the game using Steph's own run. It's not about just one game mistake, it's about how he lifted this team up on his years of staying with them.
Well, their own loss and I think Giannis will have a difficult time once they find a new head coach for the team. Let's see if they will still be the number one seed after that.
Again with the "put the blame game".  Cheesy

Definitely a little messed up to fire him for a bad week he had right after his brother died, but maybe they’re doing him a favor by removing all of his responsibilities.

Might not be an entirely terrible decision for Milwaukee Bucks, maybe it is for Giannis but with the way he's transformed his game, he'd be the go to guy for most coaches you'd find in the NBA now, and as Bud I'd say it's a terrible week for him, he surely should know that it's not hard feelings, it's just a business and coaches come and go, but a lot of team have figured out Bud's style Giannis and set up easy ways to make him less effective, even if it mean bringing in extra guys to pick up fouls against him and send him to the line. Bud surely wouldn't be out of a job for very long.

I’m surprised to see the Warriors playing small against the Lakers but I guess they figured they couldn’t beat Anthony Davis even with Looney playing well, so they’re trying to make him play their game.

It's worked pretty well so far and the antics of getting really cheap and absurd free throws have been huge limited in the first half, but I really don't know why Kerr is still having Jordan Poole on this roster, his ass should be on the bench, he's a liability for their play and the team at large, even when he scores 30 points, he ensures to give 35 points back to the opponents by himself either by turnovers, extremely terrible fouls, shoot and pass choices, he's the most unimproved player from the Warriors roster this season, imo!

Now Tsitsipas is out of the tournament so no one got the tennis question right.

Brighton and United look like another 0-0 match 😂

Edit: Wow Penalty for Brighton 90+8 min!! 1-0

That by all means seemed like an Under 2.5 goals match to me outrightly, if the question had been to choose Man Utd, Brighton or Draw, I strongly believe the result would have been much more divided amongst participant, perhaps including because I likely might have gone for Man United to win the game.
I would choose Brighton to win versus United all day, as I did in the first leg in the other pool, in the FA Cup, and again yesterday in the sportsbet pool. Well, 21 people chose the wrong answer, so only a few people got it right, but it didn't matter here because I and my opponent both had the same answer.

That is just one of my biases towards some match up, not logical enough often, that's speaks volume of my current position in the pool, but as for that, I already have an aggressive  plan for 4 of the last 5 fixture, so I might either get up a few positions or drop the rock bottom of the pile, but nothing to lose.

I just need Jimmy Bucket back for the next Match up against New York Knicks, so that they'll take the very likely 2-1 lead for me, and Tundra Esports should also get eliminated from the Dota 2 major too, then I should get the W for the round

Your W would automatically sink Slaman to Div 2..... Oops... Cry

I would not have wanted that, if there were other ways I could win without that being his fate, trust me!

Bet Builder - Curry Over 35.5 PRA + Looney Over 17.5 PR + Wiggins Over 23.5 PRA = @2.63
Good luck everyone.

Good luck, mate. Honestly, I find the Curry+Looney bet easy, but I'm a bit skeptical about Wiggins over 23.5 PRA since his performance in game 1 was not impressive. If he can score at least 20 points, then I think that bet will likely win. I hope you win your bet.
Yeah, I need Wiggins to be more aggressive to hit that. 17-20 points would suffice and then some rebounds and assists. Looney will cover using his monster rebounds, and Steph Curry will probably be more of an attacker whenever the Lakers will rest Anthony Davis. He is the only one who can keep the painted area protected which is why the Warriors are doubting to attack.
Blocks for AD might also be a good choice for a player's props if ever someone is interested.

The line didn't change in 12 hours, the Warriors are still the favorite to win the Game 2 despite losing in Game 1. 1 more hour before tip-off.
Good luck to everyone's bet and let's enjoy the game.

I really don't like how the foul calls are called in favour of Lakers they get treated like eggs, as though the NBA playoff isn't meant to get physical or it's not a contact sport, how do you justify Lakers get 29 free throws attempt compared to Warriors 6 in game 1, these are minute details that cost you any game in the playoffs, every potential fouls from AD and Lebron are considered blocks and applauded but for their opponents, it's a foul, it was an eyesore for me in game 1, at least from my perspective, without those nonsensical foul calls Warriors would have won the game by double digits with ease, but I'm looking forward game 2 tonight, let see what they have in store for today.

My bet is on Steph Curry over 30.5 points

Boston Celtics on the other hand will be in big trouble if they lose another game at their home. Their road record may be good but so do the home record of the 76ers. They must know how to close the game efficiently because their loss from the previous game was just because of being careless of the ball.
76ers +8.5
Over 214.5
The game starts in 2 minutes.

Bench or in terms of teams with the deepest and very competitive roster, In my opinion Boston Celtics are top 2 of best in the league, if not the very best, and speaking of game 1, it barely slipped through their hands, however, Celtics are already building a significant lead over 76ers here in the 3rd Quarter, they should see this one through with relative ease, and for the 2 games coming up next in Philadelphia, I wouldn’t by any means consider the Boston Celtics as the underdog for either of game 3 and 4.

Disappointed in Real Madrid, they have been poor for few games now, i expected them to win tonight to keep pressure on Barcelona but its over now, Barcelona only need to win their next game to win the league.

Guys, we're going to have an easy Champions League Semi-Final game, Manchester City are going to tear the Real Madrid squad apart, I don't see anything holding them back now, this Real Madrid team already looks fatigued.

Man are you joking or just trying to cruse Man City no?.

If not, how many times more do you need to see this movie again and again, Real Madrid always come like shit to this games, but when they play in UCL its something more, its like magic, all the players flow like never and they make again a new chapter of the kings of europe.

You NEVER have to understimate Real Madrid in UCL, yes in the rational part Man city seems stronger but, in the reality of football all can happen and more with Real Madrid in UCL.

The problem is that Real Madrid don't need to play well to win a tie, especially in the champions league, they've been a very sneaky team for a lot years, however it could be different this because Man City are on the top of their form, but then they were still almost as good as they are right now and were still knocked out by their lack of staying in control of the game.

Knocking out Bayern Munich definitely would have an impact on their level of confidence going into the game, the same thing can be said of Carlo Ancellotti, he's been at this stage several times so it's not new to him.

I was due to have received 2x $50 free bet, but I have only received just one as of about 3-4 days ago, so there is still one left to be sent to me, I had won the player of the round for two weeks consecutively before the just concluded week, so you can recheck just to confirm.

Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers will visit and face the Boston Celtics in game 1 at TD Garden, Celtics' key injury Danilo Gallinari (knee) is out while the 76ers' key injury Joel Embiid (knee) is out right now, this is game 1 now that Joel Embiid can not play for the 76ers this is a crucial game for the 76ers moving forward, that could get back on game 2 but game 1 will be for the Celtics for sure, so I am picking the Boston Celtics.

Tyrese Maxey stealing a telegraphed pass from the NBA 6th man of the year, Malcom Brogdon was the defining moment that helped Philadelphia 76ers steal the series 1 - 0 lead at the TD Garden, I really know a lot of people including thinks the match was though for the 76ers without their no 1 star in Joel Embiid, but as far as I can tell from the game, in my opinion it made the 76ers became much more unpredictable, I mean James Harden was meant to carry the team in scoring instead a facilitating every play, and every player had to contribute to the win. That's a good advantage for the 76ers I'd say, although it doesn't guarantee their chances of going through to the next round, but it sure is a good way to start any series with a win on the road.

The F1 question is obviously wrong and I apologize for that. I have no idea where I was looking - I know I saw somewhere that Monaco is scheduled.

The question has been rectified, all the people that submit later will have the correct question to answer.

The new question is:

Code:
7. Miami is a new race in the F1 calendar, having made its debut last season. Last season Verstappen won with 3.7 seconds advantage, how will the race look like this season?

The winner wins with less than 4 seconds advantage
The winner wins with 4-7 seconds advantage
The winner wins with more than 7 seconds advantage

The following players have already submitted the answers:

Code:
entebah
DireWolfM14
Jinetics1111
Harkorede
ralle14

Considering that the winning margin will probably be bigger, please send me your revised answers through PM and I will change them manually.

Thanks for reporting this and sorry once again. I wanted this type of question so bad for Monaco, doesn't look as good for the Miami race but is the easiest fix I can make at this moment.

I have sent my answer via your pm, it's not as though I even have a relevant idea about the F1, so I just went for what I believe could be one of the wrong the answers, since I'm never that lucky when randomizing my picks  Wink

Thanks, guys! After Saturday's games I realized that I have good chance to take Yellow cap. Both games ended well for me, so I won already 3rd Yellow cap this season. I'm doing much better than I expected before season, I even lead against some locals when Bundesliga isn't my league at all Smiley.

That makes two of us, I really didn't see my self at this position especially with just a few rounds left, and I haven't watched more than 10 Bundesliga games all see long, but you see in the English premier league and Spanish La Liga pools this season that I've dedicated much time into, are the pools that have been quite awful in terms of performance for me this season, but it's always about finding the right balance and mostly a series of luck also needs to come in your favour too, and it just feels like nothing but magic.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: May 01, 2023, 02:09:57 AM
I actually tried to grade this tiebreaker questions and it is really confusing especially because @ulven submitted incomplete answers on first and last to score teams. He just put in Ajax there but I guess it was counted as first to score team which give him extra point for this tiebreaker

Glad that we have @cryptoafrka and @trofo that do all thee grading for us

He actually made mistakes in both rounds. In the first one he forgot to put the answer for the match line which did not cost him because we could simply ignore it and grade his other answers.
In this round he chose only 1 answer for penalties 6 and 7. Logic tells us that it is the answer to question nr. 6 which would bring him the win, but considering that it could have been his answer to question no. 7 as well we have to be fair to mitchr4 who answered both pairs and announce him as the winner.

We do feel sorry for Ulven - but simply see no other option here.

The semi-final pairs are the following:

Match 29 : Pulsar77 vs vd309
Match 30 : Harkorede  vs mitchr4

@cryptofrka I assume there is a little mistake in the semi-final pairs you provided here! Wink It should be me instead of Harkorede.

@Harkorede this round has shown that the questions always have these sneaky twists that add an element of lottery to it as you often need more than one aspect to be right in order for the answer to be correct. The game between Inter and Lazio went down into my books as a point for you before I noticed that they scored another goal in the 90th minute. The game between the Rangers and Celtic also usually never ends with a single goal and again you got the outcome right but not the Rangers to score part. So even when someone gets the result wrong, there is still hope that the opponent doesn't get the scoring part right either and so it ends in no points for both parties.

Now off to the semi-final and thanks to everyone wishing us luck!

That's a rare mistake from him, he must have I forgotten I do end up on the losing side often too, no worries I'm sure it will be corrected.

Get knocked out at this stage would not have been as painful if not for the fact of the, every point you end had to come down to almost the end of those games, I mean already went down by a goal in the 90+4 minute, in a game with 6 added minutes, but Milan tied the game in the 90+7 minute to send the lead your way first and Inter Milan, that could have just left the score at 2 goals, but scored in 90th minute again to take away that point from me, and Liverpool which felt like those 6,7-0 score game after the first 15 minutes, just couldn't keep their hands clean, huh ? So this lose definitely not on me, it just one of those days that you really get things to go your way, lol, and it was the same in the NBA with Mr. clutch player of the year (De'Aaron Fox) being unable to step is feet on the pedal today and cost me quite a fortune.

I really believe if you can win against me with those very luck circumstance, then you're most probably going all the way to win the cup, good luck once again!

If you win in the quarter-finals, who will be my opponent in the semi-finals? Grin

That should be me or my opponent mv1986 for your semi final fixture.

Semi Finals;
It's easier to understand from the fixtures above but here it is;

Pulsar77 / dbshck vs Slissy / vd309
Harkorede / (arallmuus / mv1986) vs (LFC_Bitcoin / ulven) / mitchr4

This is going to be a close finish between the two of us as well. It was already close against @arallmuus, but now it's going to be exciting to see how the Rangers finish their game against Celtic. It is hard to tell and usually I would go with the Celtics, but these cups often have their own rules so I thought I'd go with the Rangers not losing. Hopefully I am not totally off here, but good luck to @Harkorede as well! Wink

I have to give it to you no with Liverpool concede a goal against Tottenham already, I guess a clean sheet from Liverpool is what would have taken us to penalties having missed out on Inter's question by a whisker with Inter Milan's goal in the 90th mintue, and then Celtic won but with a clean sheet, so it is what it is!

Let me be the first wish you a congratulations on the reaching the semi finals, good luck all the rest of the way.

This was their golden chance to put more pressure on Bayern.

they are simply not champions
same as Arsenal
Dortmund and Arsenal really like draws.  Cheesy
If Bayern doesn't get 3 points tomorrow against Hertha, it would be by far the biggest surprise. Hertha has been struggling a lot lately, even changing their coach after bad results but maybe it's a good strategy by Pal Dardai, Hertha's new coach, to get a point in Munich for Hertha BSC.
Dardai is a Hertha Legend and mabye he can motivate his players against a demotivated Bayern team.
A good start for Hertha and we might be in for a surprise but a 3-0 or 4-0 for Bayern seems to be more likely. Bayern still has top players and they always have many attempts, Bayern just need to have a better conversion rate finally, Hertha is a perfect competitor to do so but Choupo Moting is still injured, as well as Upamecano.

Anything aside a win for Bayern Munich against Hertha Berlin should be outright sack for Thomas Tuchel, I don't care if he's just 7 games in to the job already, he's won only 2 of 7 while his team has kept just a single clean sheet over that stretch, and Bayern Munich have conceded 10 goals in their last 6 games, while Hertha Berlin have only failed to score twice from their last 10 fixtures, making me eyeing the BTTS from that perspective, it's currently valued @ 2.04, although even if Bayern Munich manage to not win the game today, I'm pretty sure Dortmund would also still drop further points from the remaining 4 games.
