Regarding Boxing and MMA - there was 1 question. We'd like to put more, but never know what are big events because there are simply too many.
You can help us with this - just let us know when something really important is happening there and we'll try to fit it in the questions.

I think you can draw a conclusion from @jeremypwr threads too, but those just do come some later than the question deadline, but he often post the big MMA or Boxing matches.

About "esports", I think the Oxford definition for sports must change also to fit in esports and chess and whatever other "Games" who want to be classified as sports":

Quote
activity that you do for pleasure and that needs physical effort or skill, usually done in a special area and according to fixed rules

My friends argue you need physical skill and effort to tap a keyboard, and to press the timer for chess, so I guess it counts Tongue

Yeah you do need a physical skill, for football it's not just about physicality being a player like Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar require a high football IQ which in my opinion psychological, while eSport other than pressing the keyboard require a vast IQ level to be able to compete at the high level of IQ as well.

I did believe that Heat actually have a chance but after first game...Denver are really a class above them in this series and on Sunday night , I think the score will be 2-0 but I do see Heat taking at least 2 games until the end.

Also, if somehow Jokic will be guarded which is almost impossible and Murray won't have a big day , Heat might get this to game 7 and that would boom the odds all over again  Grin Grin

I might have a slight different perspective to the game generally, The Nuggets were the better team obviously, individually and collectively as team, but It wasn't the Denver Nuggets defense that kept the Miami Heat at bay, but rather a really poor shooting night, while The Heat might have been force to take a number 3s, the missed way too much of them and even open mid range jump shots, Max Struss 0/9, Caleb Martin 1/7 and Jimmy Butler with only 14 shot attempts showed how disoriented the Miami Heat really were, The attempted at least 17 more shots than the Nugget and at least 12 more 3s too, but had only 2 FT attempt, that showed how unaggressive the Heat also were, they'll need to take the game to Denver aggressive and not just settle for the most open shots but rather the most likely to score ones instead.

What does this have to do with crypto?

It's got nothing to do with crypto but everything to do with sports streaming and as such is gambling related.

The site was the easiest way to get to stream all sort of football for, although considered illegal, that's about the 3rd streaming site I've witnessed FBI take down, and according to the some news I read earlier yesterday the owner(s) of the website was said to have been sentenced to a 30 years imprisonment, I'll update my post with the link If I'm able to remember,.

It's quite the same that happened to the all-sport streaming site score808.com, a few months back, FBI are taking it any lightly with these streaming, we might soon run out of options of where to get some live events.

One more suggestion is to create bonus points for people who send answers earlier, that would be positive incentive instead of punishing people who post questions late.
Some people are waiting last moments to submit questions because they are waiting to see injured players and news, that is why people who send answers first should be rewarded.

I think it is essentially part of the game and that really makes it different when someone is actually trying to play to win compared to someone that play for fun. If there is actually extra merit on submitting early then everyone would submit in early which is kinda weird. I dont think its fair to 'punish' someone that done their fair share of research then submit answers in the last minute.

Yeah, I don't think there should be any punishment for those who submit right before the deadline, so far it's even just a second before the deadline, neither should there be a reward for submitting a early the essence of the 48 hours is do proper research and submitting early might eliminate a lot of information which in the end basically just gives some free point/advantage that is not so different from submitting late as well.

I believe it's best not to overcomplicate things and just go with usual rule of deadlines as it works in all the sports betting we are accustomed too, you don't get any advantage for submitted your predictions early and even in FPL making a transfer way too early could even be detrimental to your team.

After waiting for the line up, I settled for a 3-players props parlay, Caleb Martin Over 14.5 Points + Kyle Lowry Over 3.5 Assists and Nikola Jokic Over 13.5 Rebounds at 7.08

https://prnt.sc/59jQsViFaZKW

Caleb Martin have been red hot for the Heat from their conference and I expect the confidence shouldn't drop tonight, Kyle Lowry off the bench have been very inspirational for Heat too and his experience in the finals would need for Heat here, 4 dimes shouldn't be more off an issue, Jokic have been very dominated off the board in the playoffs and if Miami Heat have let guys like Tatum afford double digits rebound almost all the 7 games of the conference finals, 14 board should be an easy reach for the Joker.

GL everyone.

Looks like Serie A or Lega Calcio has decided to deprive us of the full final game day drama, like Bundesliga and the EPL did last weekend, I know there are are quite a number slots and position stil not decided yet, and the most fun part of the day to be watching a getting all results simultaneously, from being nervous to being very hope and how the standings in the pool could fluctuate from kickoff to the final whistle is some kind feeling that doesn't come by so often, so I really would have preferred all the games being played at the same time.

I wonder what the odds would have been for the likes of Brighton, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Man United to finish well above both teams that we picked, who could have seen that coming huh ?

I literally should have back Arsenal, but I didn't see Chelsea sacking Thomas Tuchel that early into the season, so it's all good, let's look forward to next season.

There was a certain hype around Newcastle (although they had a rather modest line-up), so I don't think that their success surprised anyone much.
As for next season, I don't even know what to expect - there are so many contenders for the top lines that I just can't even think of a "logical" order of teams for how next season should end so that everyone takes "their place" and no one is shocked. Anyone can do it?

I don't completely agree with you about Newcastle, the main narrative most people had was that they have rich owners and a blank cheque, but we were still looking to them to make those huge signings before they can be this good, but they made a couple of transfers but those transfers didn't bring them here because Isak for instance after his first game when he was signed for the got injured and played for just the latter part of the season iirc, I believe that most people, at least myself was expecting the transition to happen over a period or 2-3 years, but Eddie Howe did a pretty solid job and I can agree money is the part of the motivation for the players in general too.

play-off match is underway between Stuttgart and HSV, two prominent teams in Bundesliga decades ago, but now fighting for next season
Stuttgart leads from first minute, missed penalty, but one cannot say that they are better than HSV, and it could end up different, as well as there is re-match in Hamburg

would be nice to see HSV again in Bundesliga

Left to me, I would say HSV would have to try again next season, or at least overcome an almost impossible 3 goals deficit over Stuttgart in the second leg of the tie, coming in to this game, Stuttgart were the favorites but a 3-0 advantage isn't what they'll have expected but since it's come their way, one thing I'm sure about is that regardless where the second leg would take place, the advantage is not going to be thrown away.

That said, I hate this archaic Bundesliga style of 3 placed relegation team playing against 3 best team in the Bundesliga 2 to decide who gets promoted or who retains their spot in the top flight division, finish 3ed to last position is enough reason to get the team relegated not being giving a second chance against a lower tier that obviously would have have less revenue or spending capacity than the team in top flight, I'd rather the 3rd and 4th team in the Bundesliga 2 battle it out, than give a second chance to a team that have performed woefully all season long.

The last edition was near perfect for me, but as the saying goes there is always room for improvement, my only observation would have been proper wording of each question, but as I've noticed sometimes that decoding the question itself is part of the answer so, I'm good with that and given the penalty for those late submission is another good implementation imo, I've seen potential several sports that are likely to be added, from the conversations here so far, but there haven't been much or any talk about eSports like CS:GO, I know for a fact here some of us from the forum do switch to those eSport during off season of football and I remember having Dota2 question during one of those weeks, can we expect some of the same in these periods too ?
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 01, 2023, 03:56:30 AM

I'm also on the Jimmy Buckets bandwagon so let's see how far he can make this series against the Denver Nuggets teams. Again, they have been underrated since game 1 of this playoffs and yet Jimmy proved his MVP mentality since the series against the Bucks. So it's going to be Jimmy against Jamal Murray, and let's see if Aaron Gordon can somewhat stop him.

I'm considering taking the handicap in game 1 because I'm afraid to bet on the ML. There's a chance that the Heat will cover the spread even if they lose, especially if the game is close. Jimmy Butler has been unstoppable, and not even Gordon could stop him. Jimmy is quick and knows how to pass the ball to his open teammates. I don't know what their specific strategy will be in game 1, but I'm confident that the Heat will always be competitive.

I'll pass on the game one ML, If I'll have to bet on the Heat, it will be based on the odds not what I'm expecting of the Heat, the first game is usually where to draw a decent conclusion about certain match ups and other stuffs about players and how each team/players would approach the series.

That said, there are a lot of easy props for the Miami Heat players, especially in terms of the assist, the lines are very low and worth a gamble over and over again.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 01, 2023, 12:22:42 AM
I wasn't expecting this much bad performance from Roma in the penalty shoout-out stage of the game. Bono saved one with his feet and technically touched the other one with the tip of his fingers and the all came back from the post. Sevilla were nearly giving a second chance to them. But thanks to Patricio's encroachment the penalty was repeated and Sevilla put an end to the game to win the title.

This is the first ever time Mourinho loses a finale in a European cup such as the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. Sevilla are still finding a way to win the Europa League title even when they don't have a very good season in general.

I'm glad that Sevilla won the Europa League and it was well deserved for a team that eliminated Juventus and Man United in a single season in the QF and SF respectively, and I'm much more glad that the Mourinho has never lost an Europeans final, as though winning those finals were down to him being a tactical genius especially with his awful style of play, and he showed it today again, no tactically smart manager would have had Dybala being subbed of first in that team today, he was Roma's best player in terms of chance created and passes when on the ball, but that was the player he subbed off first for Wijnaldum who I can't remember if he actually touched the ball at any point of the game.

Tactically outclassed, but I'm sure when the next press interview comes, he'd have quite a lot to cry about, as usual as the referee will never be fair enough whenever his side losses a match, a final for that matter.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 31, 2023, 09:03:11 PM
The second half had just started and now it looked like the game would get even more interesting after a sleepy start to the first half.
The second half started with just the kind of response that I expected from Sevilla. The Coach made two changes and the changes have added tempo to the team. Sevilla have scored against Roma which is not something easy and most team have not been able to do in the last couple of games. The goal came from a well played cross into the penalty box of Roma by Jesus Navas that caused an own goal from Gianluca Mancini. The goal gives Sevilla the boost to know that they can still win the Europa again with pressure now on Roma to try and not concede another goal.
I am experiencing a very interesting Europa League final this night unlike what I expected. I just expected a very dull Europa League finals, especially if Roma will be able to score the first goal, but Mou is able to sing to score the first goal yet they stillplay in a good football and unfortunately Sevilla has to equalise. Now and the match is still interesting and well-balanced as it stands now any team can win?

It's just a typical Mourinho final in my opinion, scores a goal and hoping to ride on that luck on game long, since it's not working so far today he's become his usual cry baby over any call whatsoever, I mean for as little a call as a throw in from the middle of the pitch, to potential offside, request for cards for what isn't even a simulation but would have been a soft penalty to give, even though there was contact.

Now both teams cannot be separated at halftime so, the game is headed to extra time as expected, but the match has not been boring at all, as you would have expected of Mourinho's team in a final.

Althoug I agree with you but I’m still thinking the possibility of choking since this is their first time. No matter how eager they are it’s very hard to win championship if you don’t have a mentality to do it which experience teach players.

You can't dismiss that possibility, considering it's their first time. Although their coach may lack experience in the NBA Finals, we know that Coach Spo is skilled at making the necessary adjustments to secure victory. While people focus on player matchups, it's important to understand that basketball is a team game, not just an individual one. Therefore, there is no such thing as a guaranteed winner in this matchup.

You really just buttress my stance on the finals, Miami Heat is quite better collectively as a team imo, Boston Celtics failure was eventually down to the inefficiency of their go to guys in game 7, I mean Tatum with an ankle sprain from the very first possession of the game, and the coach couldn't even cut him some slack and trust his other guys to fill his boots, perhaps they can't perfectly but at least for some 15-20 decent minutes, there are several other options the Celtics could have gone with that would leave Tatum on the bench for down the stretch in the second half, I mean the fatigue was already there for him and Brown (who was already having a terrible series) and they turned the ball over twice in as many possession for a 7-0 Miami Heat run to begin the 4th quarter, upon the already 10 points deficit from the 3rd quarter, and that took the game away from them totally, I mean the coach could have left JB and JT on the bench for a little longer and go with guys that he had to count on all season long like Mike Muscala who also a very good shoot from behind the arc, and then there is also Payton Pritchard, and the likes that are also very locked in players, if you can't count on these guys, I wonder what the essence of considering the Boston Celtics a team with a very deep roster was to begin with. If these guys aren't getting any minutes in the most important game of the series, the major success of the Denver Nuggets in this playoff is the impact the 2nd and 3rd unit make during the non Jokic and Murray minutes, of which they have been very decent even when they don't outscore their opponents they don't drop points drastically which makes the Jokic and Murray minutes highly effective, as both players get to rest during the game without much pressure, in a game 7 you'd expect Jimmy Butler to be the do it all guy, but he couldn't even hit the points spread of the player props he's expected to reach, and he was the 5th ranked player of the Miami Heat in terms of the +/- rating, and there you have guys like Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent turn up the heat, when Butler was heavily guarded he had guys to bail him out, but Mazzulla wouldn't trust guys deep in his roster to be capable of making an impact.

What you guys think on Denver-Miami series? What you would bet on? I think Denver is in advantage and will try to play agressive and make Miami take hard shots, so I would play Miami under first game.

Denver Nuggets have arguably been the best team in this playoffs, but the 8th seeded Miami Heat aren't just going to concede defeat either, The Nuggets will be facing their toughest opponent of the series so far, and it will be an entirely the different ball game compared to what the Nuggets faced against Lakers, they sure aren't going have it any easy this time around.

They aren't going to have it easy but this is a bad matchup for the Heat.  Murray/jokic pick amd roll game is going to destroy the heat.  Jokic can spread the heat bigs by playing outside.  No way can zeller be matched up against jokic so it's gonna take bam all he has but jokic should be 30+ points 15+ rebounds and 10 plus assists average for the series.  Dude is gonna rake.

Yeah, I understand how terrifying Jokic and Jamal Murray pick and roll can be when at it's optimal level, Denver Nugget swept the Miami Heat in the regular season by the way, but this is the playoffs and it's easier said than done, because the Heat defense could be very suffocating for the Nuggets and them become the ones forced to take tough shots. Miami Heat path to the finals have been the toughest of the two sides imo, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics in the playoffs enroute to the finals indeed isn't just a fluke.

Pretty much a season to forget for me, but thank you Harkorede for remembering and paying out our side bet (have to admit, I didn't remember it, so anyone who knows I took sidebets and lost, please remind me heh).

Hard to imagine that at that stage of the season, we were both expecting great things from Spurs and Chelsea, only for them to both implode with some stretch of imagination. Spurs finishing above Chelsea, yet in ways we did not foresee.

in the first 3 games the celtics lost by a big difference of points which already suggested that the celtics didn't have any chance of winning the heat, but everything changed in the game 4 when the celtcs won by a big difference of points and in the game 5 celtcs also won again by a big difference in points, only in game 6 and that was a very balanced game, in my opinion I see celtics leaving this game with victory which would be a great milestone case, it is not easy to become one serie in which I was at a big disadvantage, I hope celtcs win this game

I would prefer a Denver Nuggets vs Boston Celtics NBA finals than Denver vs Heat finals, That said, Game 6 was really a close one as the final suggest imo, Boston Celtics led all the way and Miami Heat had their first lead after about 4-5 minutes into game in the 4th Quarter and Boston Celtics had double digit lead for majority of the night, The Heat were just rather able to crawl their way back into the game and almost stole the show right there before that moment of magic by Derrick White.

Boston Celtics should be able to get this done quite easily but playoffs Jimmy Bucket might something else in store for us, he's been off maximum efficiency recently so let's see if he can find his rhythm tonight.

I would say that the Celtics were only lucky on the last sequence because Miami could have already won the game if the clock was properly adjusted based on the correct time left. That is the current debate, not what the Boston Celtics have done throughout the entire game. However, since the game is already over, the Heat could complain if they want to, but hopefully, that will not distract their focus in the last game of the series. I believe they still have a shot at winning.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
The time was supposed to be 2.1 seconds according to the screen, but after the replay was checked if Jimmy Butler was behind the 3-point line, the time was changed to 3.0 seconds. Miami Heat could've really won that game if the time was not adjusted.

Anyway, we have to get over that and just see if the Miami Heat could turn the tides in TD Garden. I believe Jimmy Butler should play like how he was in that last quarter of Game 6. Aggressive, attack the paint, try to get some foul as early as he can, and corner the Celtics by putting them in foul trouble. That is where he is good at so he better be in a position where he will get most of his score from the stripe.

Boston Celtics versus Miami Heat‍ - Miami Heat ML
Over 201.5

Good luck guys and enjoy the game later.  Wink

I'll only be backing the Heat ML based on the odds, but I'm not expecting the Heat to pull off an upset here just after letting 3 elimination games slip through their hands, it's going to be tougher going to Boston Celtics' TD Garden to win a game 7, not especially when the team will be full of energy and all the momentum of the home crowd, but at the same time we've seeing crazier scenarios unfold in the NBA, whichever team wins today, it's still going to be an upset regardless, one might just going down as the first time in the entire NBA history.

Ac Milan is in the fourth place of the table but in fact, they should thank Juventus for this place they for on the table. Because one reason for Ac Milan to have the chance was that Juventus lost 10 points in this season, otherwise they couldn't even think about being in fourth place in the table. Also, they won the game against Juventus today and the three points they got from this game had a huge effect on this team.
Under normal circumstances, Juventus should be on top of the table and Ac would not be able to get a ticket for the Champions League if they were on top of the table.

Was the points deduction a major blow to Juventus ? Yes it was! but they still had every chance to have qualified for Champions League, all they just needed to do was to win their final 3 matches, of which they themselves threw away the opportunity, first by losing awfully to Empoli and now AC Milan too, so thus gone is their CL participation hope for next season, the best they can get now is to settle for a spot in the Europa League, and should they fail to live up to their expectation in next which is the final game of the season, the only participation they'll be having in Europe would be the Conference League.
