1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 11, 2021, 01:53:59 PM
Looks like it is. And indeed a very risky form of gambling. More like people who get in first, earns the most. Currently those NFT games are the trend. Hence the value is going up with the trend. Highly likely it's going to end badly once the hype is completely over.

If you could lose money from it, it's a way of gambling.

You have invest in tokens. After investing, what if the value drops? You have lost money. What if you don't get "good drops"? You again lost money. Most games are giving you items or drops which depends on your luck. So it is a form of gambling.
1722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: August 10, 2021, 06:09:46 PM
Yeah, in other words don't buy because of FOMO, don't sell because of FUDs and stay away from shit coins because investing in those coins will highly likely make you lose everything. Heck, just don't even sell when you are at a loss when you invest in well known coins. As long as you don't sell, you don't make any loss since the number of coins you are holding is still the same Wink.

-snip-
1. Never sell because the price looks high. For example, if you look at it from 10 to 20, what should you judge at this time is what is preventing them from 20-50?
2. Similarly, don't buy directly because of the high price in the previous period and a lot of drop. The decline is justified.
3. Never equalize the loss in your current account, as there is a high probability that you will lose more.

Don't buy, don't sell. Then what should we be doing? When the price goes from "10 to 20", then if you think you have made enough profit, then sell. Stop thinking that it might go to "20 to 50". I thought you just said we shouldn't invest based on speculation.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Binance? on: August 10, 2021, 04:34:42 PM
Regulatory issues. Nothing very "serious". All problems stated above can be solved by gaining proper license and following the current laws of the country where Binance wants to provide their services. The only issue with this is they will probably be forced to do KYC on each and every users. But doesn't matter, their no KYC requirement is bullshit.
Most of these articles have lost their relevance.
It is always easier for a large exchange to negotiate with regulators in different countries, so that the exchange will continue to work.
Even if the exchange is blocked somewhere, users can easily use its services through VPN and other services.
I have seen posts on reddit where users were flagged and had to complete KYC even though they haven't reached their daily withdrawal limit or did anything suspicious. Has been happening more lately. So I don't think VPN is going to help anyone if they get flagged for KYC.
1724  Economy / Economics / Re: Where is the value reflected? on: August 10, 2021, 01:50:35 PM
-snip-
For me, I would like to see more merchants willing to accept cryptocurrency payments, but I will not use cryptocurrency for payment.
The technology of cryptocurrency has become more and more mature, and what still needs to be strengthened is the regulatory level. From the perspective of circulation, we can see whether the future of cryptocurrency is valuable.
You want to see more merchants accepting cryptocurrencies, but you won't be using it for making payments. Then wouldn't that just put off merchants from wanting to adopt/accept the cryptocurrencies? It's totally understandable as to why you don't want to use bitcoin to make payments, but the more the people use it, the more the world will be accepting towards cryptocurrencies. As people become more accepting, we will be see rapid development where solutions to the current problems with crypto currencies can be found. And with this, we will see the true value of crypto currencies reflect.

1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Covid-19 affect On Bitcoins on: August 09, 2021, 10:44:15 PM
Does Covid-19 affect Bitcoins?

I think Bitcoins will be still stable and nothing effects in Covid-19 .and the thing we thought about Bitcoins that it is an Volatile and unpredictable are still continues.
Bitcoin was never stable. And the virus won't be effecting bitcoin in any way (other than the price. The first crash we saw during early pandemic days was because of people panic selling). You second statement contradicts the first one....

What happen to Bitcoin if this pandemic did not solve?

I think Bitcoin will be spread along the way and the population of Bitcoins will be long and infinite an the value maybe down and decrease due that maybe Bitcoins can notice that more people use it in time of pandemic. But we're hoping that the value of Bitcoins are consistently.
Lol, no one would worry about bitcoin. Everyone would be worrying about "the pandemic having no end".
Does every people in the world participate bitcoin during pandemic?

Not all people participate in bitcoin during pandemic but if we compare before and after pandemic I assure that during pandemic time Bitcoins is one of the source of income to some people in the world and I think 50% people will participate in bitcoin inorder to live and earn money even if pandemic. Not at all people using Bitcoins because they think it's hard and maybe they think also is harmful to them due that rear in there place.
Eventually more people will be using Bitcoin or at least invest in bitcoin at one point of their live. Doesn't matter if there is a pandemic or not.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Effects of Greed in Gambling on: August 09, 2021, 08:21:07 PM
Gambling to many people is just a way of fun and spending free moments, but to some others, gambling is a way of making passive income well the both are right but how we handle our responsibility matter in our entire well-being.

-snip-
Both are not right. The first guy, who  gambles for fun is the one that knows what gambling is. The other guy who gambles for making "passive income" doesn't know what gambling is or how it works. You can never earn passive money through gambling. Keep on gambling and if you are unlucky you will be losing a lot of money. Be like the first person. Gamble for fun. Think of the profits as extra reward for having fun.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: August 07, 2021, 01:01:03 PM
You are lucky that you lost just "some money". There are people that have lost thousands in gambling. This what gambling is. You pay for entertaining yourself. The profits are just extra rewards. If you are gambling to "make money", then you are being dumb over here. There are no such things as "beginners guide" in gambling that will stop you making such loss. If guides like those existed, casinos would no longer be profitable. Stop looking for guides and play for fun. Just make sure you can afford those losses.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accumulating small odds or choosing one or two big odds on: August 06, 2021, 10:56:06 PM
I am assuming by small odds you mean those bets where the wins are almost guaranteed, right? In that case, your risk is low, but the profit is also low. You will be getting small profit, but one bet that goes against your prediction, you will lose everything. Imagine winning 10 small odds, and then losing the next one losing all your profit and also making some loss. That would be a waste of time. I would rather prefer betting on one or two big odds. Those that has 50-50 chances. You either win, or you lose.
1730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey! Let me pick up a rock and let's buy it from each other... on: August 06, 2021, 10:51:11 PM
Isn't that basically what bitcoin is?

He can hardly buy anything with it. We just give it value for the sake of giving it value.

Matter of fact, let's do just that for the heck of it, see how far we can go with it. I'll pick up a rock and call it Akorn and put it up for $10. I'll buy it back for $10 and let's see how much it'd be worth by the end of the year.
You are saying rocks have no value? Lol. Of course they have a value. Even a common rock has a value, but less than a cent because it can be found anywhere. So no. No one is going to buy your "Akorn" for $10. Why would they? They could literally pick a rock for almost free of cost (minus a little labor lol). But lets say, you found a piece of meteorite (meteorites are rock too Wink ) and you want to sell it for $10. Someone is going to buy it and then sell it for $100. The more demand for your meteorite, the higher the price will go. Meteorites are hard to find, hence expensive.
So if bitcoin was like picking up a rock, it would be dirt cheap. But guess what, they aren't dirt cheap. Now, why is that? You will know if you try to learn about bitcoin and how the system works.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of crypto on: August 06, 2021, 09:26:35 PM
We don't need several countries to visit because anywhere you go, you can't get your privacy. Only cryptocurrency can provide you with that. Already Cryptocurrency is a success because the government doesn't monitor us.
Lol, do you even know what you are saying here? First of all, only few crypto currencies focus on privacy. None of them are the top. Rest of them don't provide you with high privacy. Any transaction you make can be traced back to you if you make a slight mistake. Its more traceable if you use centralized exchanges. And the government can still "monitor" you if you use crypto currencies (those regulations and regulator framework are doing their magic Wink ).
The government banned crypto miners because they want to stop money laundering. I think banning can be a good decision. The government can take tax even if it can stop real scammers, that is the cryptocurrency future.
Lol what? Few countries banned mining because it was consuming too much power. It has nothing to do with money laundering.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Phenomenal Bitcoin In The Current Generation on: August 06, 2021, 07:51:33 PM
The speculation that people are starting to do now is investment, where we used to know investment patterns using paper money or in assets that we can see. However, the influence of the times has forced people to switch investment patterns.

Today, even 10 years ago people started using a new investment pattern, where we often mention trading or buying and selling coins. In a general perspective, it is more likely that the people who make these investments are Generation Z or Millennials.

Because the previous generation did not really understand the development of the current era. If there is, then only a part of that generation knows how to do it.

In recent years, bitcoin is most often talked about by people, even if we search on the geoggle engine, the name bitcoin is the most people search for, even though there are many other coins available today.

The bitcoin phenomenon is starting to spread to conversations everywhere, so that currently many people are studying investment systems, this is a step forward for generation Z or millennials, bitcoin itself has proven, that they are the best coins today, so their position is quite difficult to shift.

But what about the condition of bitcoin in 5 or 6 years, considering that there are so many coins that are starting to appear, are they able to maintain their position and so is the value of buying/selling bitcoin?

"Interesting for us to discuss this".
It's the most searched coin because when someone says crypto currencies, the first thing that comes to their mind is bitcoin. This is because bitcoin is the first crypto currency that was invented. People hear more about bitcoin on the news than any other coins. They have heard how bitcoin is giving people good profit in the long run. Literally, if they hear any discussions about crypto currencies, they will hear about bitcoin. Hence they start googling to know more. They become curious and start investing. While some keeps on holding, others lose patience and leave. If bitcoin remains the same as it is and no other solution has been formed to counter the scalability and network fee issues, then highly likely after 5 or 6 years, people will still be using it as a store of value.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Bet correct score on: August 06, 2021, 04:03:36 PM
Hello community, I want to place some bet on some games in the Olympic and am wondering where I can get correct scores with good odds; I know there are few fixed games that user can help me with info that
Lol those "users" that have information on "few fixed games" are just scammers. They have nothing. They will just try to scam you. They will give you random guesses. Trust me, if they had inside information, do you really think they will sharing it with you? Why would they even need to do that? The more people know, the higher the risk of the game getting canceled due to fixing. They could just bet themselves and make all the profit. So do yourself a favor. Stop looking for stupid ways to make quick profit.
1734  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: August 06, 2021, 04:00:28 PM
I guess those who made the most profit are happier? Might be early bitcoin and crypto currency investors that are right now the most happiest. Bitcoin likely gives out more profit in shorter period of time when compared to stocks. But then again, it comes with more risks. Being extremely volatile is one of them. The market can also be manipulated easily when compared to stocks. On other hand, invest in good stocks and make profit with least risks. But I doubt the returns are no where near that of bitcoin.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: has anyone here in profit after gambling ??? on: August 05, 2021, 09:52:55 PM
We all heard that every one looses at the end in gambling....yes we may win here and there...we may win some big amounts but overall in long term we always end up in loss....this is the story with me as well overall i am in big loss....
I just want to know is any one here in this forum who is in overall profit in gambling...
It's those who keep on playing will not be making profit in the long run (unless they are very lucky). There are a lot of people that have made profit and quit gambling. I am sure there are online casinos that show top users that are in profit. Also think about those lottery or mega jackpot winners. They are all in profit (unless they bought million dollar worth of tickets lol). But it's rare. That's why you don't hear much about them.
1736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google starts accepting Bitcoin ads on: August 05, 2021, 07:51:08 PM
Google has begun to accept advertisements for Bitcoin, and Google lifted its ban on advertisements related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Starting August 3, companies using Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can once again advertise on the search giant and various websites that are part of its platform. The ban was implemented in March 2018 to comply with the new regulations of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the United States (FinCEN).

Article Source: https://updateonbitcoin.com/google-lifted-the-ban-on-advertising-related-to-bitcoin/
Didn't the lift the ban few months ago? I have been hearing about them banning and unbanning crypto related advertisement very frequently. As far as I know, facebook did the same too.
It's a good thing they are unbanning crypto related advertisement. But sadly, we will be seeing many advertisements that are scam (and at the top results!) that newbies will fall for. Head over to reddit and see how many people got scammed by downloading fake metamask wallet that they saw as top ad when googling metamask.
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing acceptance level - Cryptocurrency on: August 05, 2021, 05:06:54 PM
Below is a pic that's been taken on a ride. Everyone might be familiar with the Autorickshaw of India. In some part people term them as Autowala. The auto rickshaw is called with different names on different countries including auto, auto rickshaw, baby taxi tuk-tuk, 3wheel, bao-bao, tukxi. The operators are very common people who have their living out of the earning through this rental rides. They've started accepting cryptocurrency is something big and shows the increasing level of cryptocurrency acceptance.
-snip-
How is this going to work? Don't see any address or code to scan so they can send the payment. What about the fees associated with the transaction? Are they going to wait till there is one network confirmation? What about the fees? What if the guy sends a very small fee. This means its going to take forever for the confirmation to take place. And the poor guy might become a victim of the market volatility. Is it just this one guy or is everyone doing the same over there?
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Idea of Bitcoin As A Religion on: August 05, 2021, 04:56:12 PM

Well, have you thought about this idea that Bitcoin can be like a religion too? With some level of fanaticism, there can be people who are considering the Bitcoin community like a cultish one but then again all form of organization in varying degree has this energy and can even be used as a bonding agent. Now, in my opinion, while this idea can be a big welcome to some, this can also turned off those people who are not inclined to take up religious matters into their lives.

What's your opinion on this matter?
How do you guys come up with things like this? I mean, why? How can someone turn bitcoin into a religion? The cult, are they going to say that Satoshi was a god that created something very powerful like bitcoin that solved all financial problems of every human being? A miracle! Lol. Religion is something that gives people hope during desperate time. I don't think people can rely or hope anything from bitcoin when something awful is happening in their life. So I think the idea of bitcoin as a religion is somewhat crazy.
1739  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above $30k for 10 consecutive days ever again on: August 05, 2021, 04:01:58 PM
I am pretty much sure he is being sarcastic or just trolling. Look at his signature. It says that bitcoin price can't sustain above $10,000 USD and its a scientific fact. Lol, what? Sure, you have your opinion, but back up with something believable. Just saying "scientific fact" won't give you are credibility.
I have a different opinion from you. I don't think bitcoin will stay below $30k for 10 days. even the price of bitcoin has been strengthening above $30k for several weeks. I think the bitcoin price will stay between $35k - $40k till the end of this year.
And why do you think that? Based on what? Just some random prediction with no base? We already saw the price go above $40,000 USD a day or two ago.
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: August 05, 2021, 03:29:02 PM
Lol, Cardano will never be able to overthrow Ethereum. It is very far away from what Ethereum has to offer. Cardano still doesn't even support smart contracts yet. Everything about Cardano sounds very good in paper. But in reality, it still can't compete with Ethereum. It might go up soon once smart contracts are launched, but it highly likely won't be able to take over Ethereum. Ethereum has far more larger community, support and development team than Cardano.
