1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two hacks and two approaches - is Bitcoin is looking better than Ethereum? on: August 08, 2016, 11:12:07 AM
Opinions?
there's a fork coming for bitcoin too, apprently
https://bitcoinforks.org/

we even have luke-jr posting his comments on the consider it page  Cheesy
https://btcfork.consider.it/

IMO this fork will fail to gain any significant support like ETC did.
but its worth a look at what they are doing, its interesting to say the least.

the part about "Who is behind this project?" is not even saying who is supporting it. so i can assume that since anybody can buy a domain and hosting it is some random users trying to create some commotion.

none of the miners or developers have ever expressed any desire to remain anonymous while working on bitcoin so far, and that is another reason for assuming some random users with some other agenda.

and as for their success, with no community, no miner, no developer supporting them they will fail much harder than bitcoin XT, classic and all the others.
1722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving event: expectation vs. reality on: August 08, 2016, 11:07:36 AM
Whoever expected an instant pump was delusional. I always thought something like this would happen. Price would go up prior halving slowly, then a couple months of more or less stability (except the dump due the bitfinex hack but we are getting back to the latest price soon) then we will go to 2000+ dollars next year.

exactly.
i was expecting the same scenario too. the price rise prior to halving was the hype effect on the price and the dump before the hack was because of some shake out and the disappointments and naivete of traders. now thanks to them whales have more cheap coins at their disposal.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: August 08, 2016, 10:58:36 AM
Do not read about gambling forums. The more you want to stay away from gambling, the harder it will be. Stay disconnected from friends who are into gambling. Do not go online for a while so as to avoid online betting as well.

Nah, I think you can't forget gambling that way... Actually that might lead to just make you want to gamble more...  But if you are busy and in focus on your work ( not those times that you are in your work and you are thinking about betting) I mean a very dedicated you.. That way, there will be no space in your mind about gambling...Discipline and good strong will, that would make you quit gambling...  Smiley

making yourself busy with other hobbies to occupy your time is a good way of staying away from gambling but don't forget you should stay away from gambling and all gambling related stuff if you are an addict so gambling forums included.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the Odds. on: August 08, 2016, 10:54:27 AM
So, I've been wondering recently, how and why people choose which game to play. Is it because of the higher chances of winning?Or is it based on their particular skill/preference? Bigger payout? Which game do you prefer? I'm curious. I mainly play Dice myself and I'm thinking of playing a new game but don't have much idea about the others. Tell me.

i think any of the gambling games can have the chance of making you rich or poor based on your luck. so you can win in any of them the same way.
so generally i have the feeling that if you have a bigger bankroll and a good strategy you can win in any of them.

although most people say that you have a better chance in sports betting, i don't completely agree with them.
1725  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: bitcoin hyip are they a gamble? on: August 07, 2016, 04:37:22 AM
Some can make a profit if you enter in the start and the program picks up and is popular. If not it shuts down early and all is lost for all. So it is a gamble you take to see of the site will last long enough for you to make profits.

that may be true in one or two cases because you got lucky but there is no such rule for when they are going to scam you and run away. you can be the first one to make a deposit and still don't get your money back.

it is simple these sites are not honorable legit services, an scammer runs these so obviously they don't care about reputation and staying around so they can even run away in the first 24 hour before even a single payment.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling worth to try for newbie? on: August 07, 2016, 04:32:58 AM
you don't need experience to gamble, most of the games are easy to understand and play for example the famous game of dice that everybody is playing doesn't need any expertise to play, you can even claim faucet and play with that money instead.

although not all games are like this, there are many that need some knowledge if you want to beat the opponent like poker.
1727  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: August 07, 2016, 04:28:31 AM
As you see, the Bitcoin is crashing and trying to break a new low until it stop.
But I won't sell any Bitcoin at this time, I believe it will rise again as it always do. Smiley

Bitcoin price recently has been crashed and saying the truth I ddidn't sold a satoshi when the price was $700+.
So neither will sell now where the price is $550+, it's good to see that the price is recovering and the line on the graph is going higher.
current prices began to go up toward $ 600. I hope the price can go up to $ 650 or $ 700 at least touch. so that I could sell my bitcoin lol
I've waited a long time to sell

Why you didn't sell your coins when it touched to the price of $780 last month, anyways if you are planning to sell your coins then I think you should wait till the end of the year as it is expected that price will touch $ 1k in the month of December.

you can't always leave your coins on the exchange site and have an open order so you have to miss out on many opportunities just to be safer. so you miss these chances like this especially if you are asleep during the short time spike (living in other side of the world)
1728  Other / Off-topic / Re: What can i do with 3 Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2016, 04:08:58 AM
A friend of my want to give me 3BTC and he want me to pay him back 4BTC in 2month 7days but he asked me what will i do with it, how can i turn 3 bitcoin to 4 in 2 month 7days, what is the best investment that can give me good ROI in that short period

So please i ask for your advice
u can go for dice gambling and then invest half of ur bitcoins and increase it by 0.1 percent and on winning it should go upto 100 percent..well gambling is pure patience and luck ..and dont be greedy ..let it roll u l earn a lot ..kudoos Smiley

OP is saying it is someone else's money (his friend) so i don't think it is wise to gamble with the money that doesn't belong to you and you are looking for making a big profit because gambling is risky and losing your friends money is so much worse than losing your own money because you have to lose and then pay back what you lost so it is double loss.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you like when gambling alone/ with your friend? on: August 07, 2016, 04:02:22 AM
much playing alone cuz dont want lost consentrate, but sometimes with my brother its fun when he lost and we can laughing at  Grin
playing alone is the best for me either, no one is interrupting then my gambling session and i can think freely what should i do and when to stop the gambling and take winnings

well it depends on the game that you want to play and it also depends on the friends that you are playing with.
i was thinking the same way as you but ever since i tried playing some of the card games with my friends like playing poker with them, i have had a lot of fun and i want to try it again instead of playing dice alone.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Is Why I Love Gambling On Sports... on: August 07, 2016, 03:53:31 AM
Gambling in sports gives you a higher chance of winning compared to other forms of gambling. Although it still is considered gambling, you wouldn't be placing bets here hoping for blind luck. The more you know and understand about the sport, data, players, facts etc, the more you'd be able to make a high percentage bet. I've won like around 80 percent of sporting bets I made

it is all about the predictions that you make, if you are any good at it as in being familiar with the game, the players current status, the team status and also all their history then you can make better predictions and win more times.
i personally prefer betting on esports because i am a fan of those games so it is easier for me to predict them.
1731  Economy / Speculation / when do you think the breakout is going to happen? on: August 06, 2016, 04:55:55 PM
since the bitfinex hack and the drop that happened right after bitcoin price stayed below $600 and slowly rising towards it.

i am personally expecting a big breakout to happen but i want to know your opinion about possibility of it and the time that it can happen?
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can exchanges find out Bitfinex funds if "hacker" runs them throught mixers? on: August 06, 2016, 04:52:13 PM
If a mixer receives coins that are from a known theft, as far as I know they remain neutral to the whole thing and limit themselves to do their job (mix the coins). There are certain sites like Helix that as far as I know are fully automatized, run on a onion tor website and deliver clean coins, after that I would say it's impossible to find, so he would proceed to sell in exchanges. Of course if he isn't a total idiot, he will not dump and will sell slowly so he doesn't get caught.

So in this situation... how can they find them? I wish they find them and people can recover funds but what if he runs coins through mixers?

Until now I haven't seen any news that an exchange has found stolen bitcoins when a user deposited on their exchange addresses, so I don't have any idea how would they find bitfinex stolen bitcoin, maybe after a while they can find but the hacker can exchange and withdraw them in less than a minute!!

they can tag the known addresses with dirty bitcoin on them in their code (it is a simple process) and so if they receive any funds from those knows addresses the exchange blocks the account immediately.

but the question here is about using a mixer, and i think if it is used in smaller amounts and used correctly then it can be possible to become untraceable.
1733  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any bot that collects the faucet and gambles for you? on: August 06, 2016, 04:45:44 PM

I know the fact that there is a captcha means they don't want bots but I will ask anyway. I know people do not want this but I will ask anyway. So do not act like I am not aware that owners of dice sites doesn't want this.

 Yet again...

Is there a bot that collects the faucet , gambles for you and hit certain btc and withdraws?

so in other words you are looking for a way that you only click a button and walk away and come back a day / week / month later and see your bitcoin address filled?

no there is no such thing invented.
and if anybody has made such a bot that bypasses the acptcha and claims the faucet then makes bets and wins and withdraws for you, then he will not share it with the rest of the world for free!
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: August 06, 2016, 04:39:09 PM
Invest in gambling sites can be really risky

it depends on the site that you choose and also on how long you want to keep your investment there. short term has a higher risk of losing.

Quote
so it is better to invest in type of sites like ptc

AFAIK, PTC stands for paid to click and sites like these are a terrible way of investing your money. because they are all rigged and will always sell you fake referrals which will never click and you can not really make any profit.

Quote
site or revenue share becaude it is with smaller risk and everbidy can earn without own investment and referral commisions are bigger.

this option is a little better, but i haven't seen any good site which also works with bitcoin in this field and you can't really trust those smaller size sites that have no reputation.
so if you know any, please tell us too.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling made for kids???? on: August 06, 2016, 04:34:25 PM
there are many adults that are being affected by gambling addiction and lose their life over it, so it is obvious that kids who are more influential than adults naturally, are at a bigger risk to get addicted to gambling.
besides kids have no money to gamble with so they can't really do it.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: August 06, 2016, 04:29:14 PM
Any sites you recommend?
Strategy?

Hmmh, It depends on how lucky are you, if you are very lucky or good gambler, you can win lots of money, But if you won't have needed luck you can lose a lot

and i don't really think that there re such a thing as strategy, as all gambling is luck based so you can't have needed strategy
No, some gambling games need also strategy like poker, but yeah most of the times we need so much luck for us to win. But don't tell that there are no gambling games that were also need strategy because I think professional gamblers playing gambling games that is more on strategy than being so lucky.

If you are playing poker against a real player then strategy is really needed to win. But if its online poker where your opponent is the house then you have no match to it and you must need luck to win. I think pro gamblers are not gambling online or in some sites where you will play against the house, they won't win from it because the house is monitoring their winnings. If they notice you that you win some big amounts they will get it back.

the professional poker players will never play online. have you ever heard of the phrase "poker face" it refers to the fact that you need to read your opponent in poker, that is why they are only playing poker face to face.

besides when you are playing online or even worse , playing online against the house, then they can see your hand and act accordingly because the code is giving you the cards and it can be not-random.
1737  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think guys the hack bitcoin from bitfinex still not sold? on: August 06, 2016, 04:17:37 PM
do we know any of the addresses belonging to the hacker? i always see an address being officially published by the hacked site. but this time i can't find any. am i blind or finex never published it?

anyways those funds are not going to be sold this soon. they will probably stay stationary for a very long time, even a couple of years, before the hacker moves them.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Bitcoin price is going Down....Any changes in your plan? on: August 05, 2016, 04:02:05 PM
the price of bitcoin is always changing and is never stable enough to make a plan for a long term so obviously my plans change with the price also.

but since the amount of bitcoin i earn depends indirectly on bitcoin price so my plans for gambling will always depend on how much i can earn bitcoin that week for example. then i decide based on the amount that i have earned.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling. on: August 05, 2016, 03:55:02 PM
if you are addicted to gambling there is nothing a comment on the forum can help you. you will need a professional help instead. you may want to visit a professional or even join a support group.

but don't confuse being addicted to gambling with little lack of control and losing money. the addiction to gambling means you have zero control and you have lost a massive amount of money in gambling so far.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: August 05, 2016, 03:50:37 PM
~
In simple terms, there are two types of gamblers the responsible and the irresponsible gambler. Regardless of our financial status, even if we are rich, we are subject to a big risk and an irresponsible rich gambler has so much to lose so they should not try gambling at all.

I couldn't agree more. Everyone can be irresponsible sometimes so if you have a lot of money it's better to not gamble at all. It's a very stupid idea that you can double your money with gambling and you should at least try to do it. Trust me you will lose and you will never recover your loss, so you better don't start.
I never really thought about gambling as something that you can often get profit out of. It is only something like fun and games with money involved. Winning is pretty much like an extra entertainment to me after all the fun I had while playing. And of course, I only play with the amount that I can bear to lose.

i think it mainly depends on the type of games that you choose to play. for example i believe that games like Poker can become profitable in time if you become an expert poker player or for example in sports or esports betting you can make good profit over time if you are really good at it and familiar with the games you make a bet on.
