1741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin going to be illegal? on: March 26, 2018, 06:26:40 PM
I think this is very common in our society that if someone is going towards success, then there are millions of people who tries to pull him back and this is with bitcoin also because the popularity of BTC is reaching sky high and the other cryptocurrencies wants to pull it down. Though there is one reason that made bitcoin little weak that there is no governing body otherwise there is no such conditions that it will become illegal because BTC is very sustainable.
I really do not think that anyone is trying to portrait bitcoin in a bad image and wanted to destroy it, if they do the entire market will come down crashing, but the said discovery of photos is not a good news, i have not done any details study or read the said documents to verify their claim, but i do not think these things can put an end to the system.
1742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ATM - Would you use them? on: March 26, 2018, 05:24:37 PM
Lately, I have been seeing many crypto ATM that converts cash into crypto. I am having a tough time understanding the logic behind such machines. I mean, why wouldn't I just go to an exchange and buy crypto? I see no added benefit other than the rather high fees being charged.
Would like to know if any of you have used such an ATM? If so, why?
If you have never used such an ATM, under what circumstances would you consider using it?
I wont be using these ATM and i do not think that we need those at the moment, the one thing that would be helpful is having crypto based debit card and it will be more useful than having an ATM, let us forget the charges, why would you use that unless it is difficult for you to purchase online by providing your identity, they must be having limits too, so i would not use it , no matter what at the moment.
1743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the Bitcoin Price Bottomed? on: March 26, 2018, 04:04:28 PM
This market is following the 2013 pattern and if it does then we could see the market go much lower before it goes higher.  Not trolling but 2500-3500 is a possibility.  When wall street entered the market that signaled for me that there would be a push lower because wall street does not like to pay high prices for anything.
Things are really different from what we know from 2013, the market has grown a lot and the talks of regulations is keep the market at bay, anything below $5k is a disaster as i do not want to see the price going below that as it will be really hard for the market to bounce back if the price goes down that much and it will be hard for new investors to invest in it and the miners will be under heavy loss.
1744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the history repeat again? on: March 26, 2018, 03:11:03 PM
So we have seen many speculations and predictions that bitcoin will go for one more bullish Eire from the end of March so we are at the end of March now , is it gonna happen like last year or speculations will fail?
Never expect all the speculations will be applicable all the time, last year was a very good year for bitcoin and as already mentioned Japan legalized bitcoin and so is the reason the rally started and there were many factors for the rally including heavy investment from wall street . With regulation talks in the table never expect another rally before we have some clarity about it.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoins be antiques on: March 25, 2018, 11:29:05 PM
we know all the bitcoin has 21 million coins suply, will bitcoin be a valuable antiquity when it reaches 21 million coins or it will be the obsolete item that will be in its enthusiasts, what do you think?
I do not know about a reason to think how bitcoin will be obsolete a few years from now, but by saying that i really do not know what the future looks like, it is a new technology and we will see more changes as years passes and the developers are doing a good job upgrading the software in time and if it continues like this in the future, it will keep on growing.
1746  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Money = Cashless Society on: March 25, 2018, 10:57:28 PM
It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.
If you think that paying with debit and credit cards does mean that you are going to be a cashless society then majority of the countries will be like that, as every major shopping centers around the world will accept cards, you need to have the local currency if you are going for local shopping or street shopping where they wont be accepting cards and that is the case around the world too.
1747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch 20K USD end of 2018. What you think ? on: March 25, 2018, 08:24:45 PM
Bitcoin's price almost touched 20,000 USD at the end of 2017. At the end of 2018 it will be much more.
I would like to pretend that all the speculations are true and we will see another big rally from bitcoin, but to be realistic it is difficult to see another rally until there is a clarity on what the top governments from around the world are trying to do with the regulation talks of bitcoin and other alt coins, if everything goes well then we might see a big rally again, other than that it is highly unlikely to see this year.
1748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember Hard Fork Mania? All hardforks have failed except BCH. on: March 25, 2018, 07:59:26 PM
Wasn't Litecoin a hardfork of bitcoin? Pretty sure that is still going strong  Grin
It was obvious from the beginning, most forks were not performed for the greater good, but to create a new cryptocurrency that can be controlled by an organization.
However, I do think that Bitcoin Cash is on its way to failure, they've pumped it enough so it's probably time to cash out and move to another venture.
I am not a fan of forking all the time and i never followed all the fork that happened in the past because nothing was that interesting than BCH and i do not think that it will die off like that because it has some followers but the volume might not be as big as bitcoin but it is better than most of the trash coins, Litecoin is an exact copy of bitcoin technicals with a few tweaks like decreased block time and more coins and it became a success. Cheesy
1749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 24, 2018, 11:23:29 PM
It will be unfortunate for NZ if they couldn't win the test match against England. The rain forced them to not play in whole day no 3.NZ is lead by 175 runs and Day-3 stumps. But I believe still NZ have chance to win this match. They need to make a big target for England and All out them in Day 5.
I wanted to see New Zealand winning this test match after a wonderful bowling performance and i hope the rain wont affect the rest of the match.
Another closely contested match between Australia and South Africa is going on and now Australians are under ball tampering controversy ,things are getting interesting and ABD is still in the crease .
1750  Economy / Economics / Re: Is banking still important in the bitcoin era? on: March 24, 2018, 10:29:52 PM
At first it was 50 bitcoins, but it was reduced by half every four years. They say the last bitcoin will be released in the middle of the XXII century.
I am not even sure what you are telling here in this thread.

Banks are important in every aspects of finance, even for bitcoin if you are willing to purchase some coins, you need the help of a bank to transfer the money to the exchange an vice versa, the bitcoin era has just began and it will take a really long time to get to the main stream, what ever it may be,the banking sector still moves on just like that in the past.

1751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion on: March 24, 2018, 10:00:29 PM
Social media is a very nice way to encourage everyone to invest and use atleast btc with their transactions for them to have a very more convenient life, without going outside, they can process their bills and pay those bills immediately.
Lets make things clear there, bitcoin does not need social media for publicity,it has got a lot of publicity by now,the most of the advertisement we see in social media is about alt coins and to attract new users it is the best platform but the problem here is there are also many scammers blending in this mad rush and we need to have some regulations when it comes to these advertisements.
1752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for bitcoin as G20 says no crackdown for cryptocurrencies on: March 19, 2018, 11:58:36 PM
Finally a positive news for the market to move higher from the correction we had last week, i am not sure when the next meeting will be ,but in my opinion we will be seeing regulations down the line, this is a new market and it might need some time to have a rule set ,the main worry is about the scams and how to prevent that in the future,i would like to see how the market will react and how long this green run will continue before another bad news. Wink
1753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall from nearly $19,000 :( on: March 19, 2018, 11:31:41 PM
First and fore most you have to understand is that you can speculate what ever price you want, the market will move forward in the positive direction when the regulation talks are settled, until then i do not think that we will see another rally that would take the price over all time high,no market will sustain a growth like that we had in bitcoin, the users who are into bitcoin for a long time knew this was going to happen, but never had a clear idea till what price the coin will reach before a correction.
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Homeless use Bitcoin on: March 19, 2018, 11:02:51 PM
Guys what do you think about Homeless people who use cryptocurrency on the street is that an evolution or something else ?
I am not sure how realistic this situation will be,a homeless person using cryptocurrency when he does not have the money to lease a shelter or a job to support his life, on a parody note ,it will be like a wall street investor but homeless  Cheesy how often do we see these kind of situations, you wanted to think that it is possible that you evolve like that when you invest in cryptocurrency but does not have the basic necessities .
1755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto growing at your expected rate? on: March 19, 2018, 10:27:33 PM
If you see the prices today, it is now back below $11000. Smiley That $11000 to $17000 was due to manipulation and that is the reason price dropped after the big whales withdraw their holdings at huge profit. There is only one advantage of this, now that it almost touched $20000 mark, that much is almost guaranteed. If you invest at current levels, you will get double in few months.
I am not sure how you could come to a conclusion that it was manipulated and so is the reason the price was moving higher to $17K,in my option that  is how the market works ,to be frank i was really surprised to see the rally last year as i never expected this kind of change in the price in a very short period of time and one sad thing is that i had to control my urge to gamble more. Wink
1756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term vs. short term investing on: March 19, 2018, 09:53:16 PM
Bitcoin has proven to reward the hodlers much better than the traders. By trading you are going to lose your sleep and mind. But by hodling not only are you going to make more return on your investment but also have peace of mind and be relaxed.
This is not a case just for bitcoin, but every investment out there, including stocks forex etc,if you are planning to hold for the long term the reward would be higher if you have invested in the right stock,if you are having the time to follow the market, then you will get the opportunity to maximize the profit by selling when you feel there is a correction and get back the coins in the dip.
1757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 223: Ferguson vs Nurmagomedov Info and Prediction Thread, Big Event! on: March 19, 2018, 09:38:42 PM
-Joanna Jedrzejczyk directed some of the blame for her last loss against Rose @ her nutrition and weight cutting crew. It will be interesting to see if that change makes a difference in the rematch.
She was defeated clean and she just wanted to make an excuse for her loss,if she is the champion she has to make sure that she is on weight rather than making it hard for her on the final day of weigh ins and blaming the loss for her weight cutting crew, the amount of trash she was speaking before the Rose fight was too much and she fell on her ass. Grin

Quote
-There are some interesting contrasts in these fights. Michael Chiesa doesn't do well if he can't get his takedown. Anthony Pettis often doesn't do well if he is taken down.
Anthony Pettis is the greatest disappointment after the introduction of drug testing,he was super invisible fighter before that and now he is just a mere reflection of his past wins but it is a good opportunity for Michael Chiesa to defeat a former champion and improve his rankings.
1758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Putin's victory in the presidential election affect the price of bitcoin? on: March 19, 2018, 09:27:34 PM
Can Putin's victory in the presidential election affect the price of bitcoin?
Is the presidential election over and i am sure he will be winning again,he is a real powerful person in the world and i have not seen any crack head policy from him than the rest of the politicians around the world,i am not sure what his position against cryptocurrency is ,so it is very hard to tell whether it will have an impact right now,if there is any negative news, the price is going to come down, other than that it is fine.
1759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't care about the price now. Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth on: March 19, 2018, 08:26:10 PM
I don't even look at the price anymore. Just looked today after a few days... Eth is now being negotiated at 480. LOL
Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth. I will hold for a few years. I am not going to sell now, even if it were 10x more than it is now, so why would I care for the price now?

I put some good money into this market. But I really believe in the technology, I really like it, I am even studying it. I am not worried.
So what you are ultimately trying to tell ,are you shocked on seeing the price of ETH coming down by half in the past weeks or you are telling that you were here from the beginning and so you are holding plenty of coins at a cheap price and you wish to hold for the long term, but i do have a funny thought from your thread here,if you really do not bother about the current market why would you brag about it here, just to inform others you have a big portfolio . Cheesy Tongue
1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news The market began to rise and return !!! on: March 19, 2018, 07:30:20 PM
That's some good news and i am also glad that those who panicked sellers managed to lose some money because of their impatience which is something that's really worrisome about those kind of investors because they can drag down Bitcoin with it.
You are talking as if we wont see any correction in the price of bitcoin, the market is volatile for a long time and it will be like that for a long time unless you wont hear any negative news and that is not going to happen to,so if you are good at trading you will make a good amount of money during this market ,entry at around $7k and sell on reaching $12k ,buy back again when there is a correction and repeat. Cheesy
