1761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Crypto users' data is stolen in the name of Ledger IPO's whitelist.. on: April 12, 2023, 03:23:41 AM
So facebook ads really need to step up and do a conprehensive screening to whoever wanted to do an ads. Since its a popular social sites, ads there tend to be legit for others but it seems scammers can easily do a business or promotions simply like this. Maybe they follow the standard and no harm done but collecting information especially personal one might lead to a more potential scam later on. Since there is no official announcement from Ledger then how come marketing it already? Obviously one reason, to bait some or many for a wide scam.

Nice share OP. This is very helpful.
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Cardano get so much hate? on: April 12, 2023, 02:55:55 AM
Even its negative publicity its still a news and people talk baout it still show its exposure to community. Some may throw some tantrums about this project or the things they cant see on the outside but thats only people talking about it. Why not ignore those and just continue your support. Everyone has their own bet coin and tokens and thats normal that they tend to say something bad aside from their own holding to see the other side right? Anyway data and figure speaks for itself about it. Ada is on top list, so ignore potential fud cause it wont change a position for their token that simply.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Step by step in " DOING YOUR OWN RESEARCH" on: April 11, 2023, 11:49:54 AM
These are nice and correct reviewing the project. But to do an initial scanning, its not necessarily to over review it. For me browsing the website alone can help you identify many things. Focus on their development and check if they have some github or any open source record. Social value too, and team working on it. Sometimes by seeing the people behind it make us become confident that they are indeed a good project. Portfolio of those and some partners too.
1764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: April 11, 2023, 05:36:09 AM
I was thinking new kind of plan to buy bitcoin every month from my salary immediately my company paids me but I still have other responsibilities to carry with family so am skeptical about it especially now that the price has no direction.
I think you need still to priority what you should pay off first before investing it on something like bitcoin. You couldnt afford to lose more since you have responsibility. If you really wanted to invest then you could set aside only a little of your extra but doesnt compromise your other financial duties.

Price for bitcoin is volatile and even its up now, its not predictable and could also go down the least we expect it.
1765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: South Korean crypto exchange GDAC hacked for nearly $14M on: April 11, 2023, 05:01:16 AM
Article said that GDAC warned other crypto exchange to suspend deposits from the hacker's wallet but its not about that. The hacker can possibly use a decentralized market for these stolen tokens and coins. If he already stole it then its already on his wallet and ptobably unloading it on different dex and maybe using mixer now to hide the footprint of his track.
1766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is your ideal cryptocurrency? Why? on: April 10, 2023, 08:46:37 AM
An ideal cryptocurrency for me is obviously bitcoin but I did searched other altcoins to see other utility of it. If you are someone whose focus is on expanding your finance then there are other coins that make you earn from it over staking which is quite impressive on altcoins. Cause bitcoin cant do that due to its structure. Most probably if therr is really a pure decentralized altcoin that will be created that would really be an amazing one combining most L1 features.
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking through mobile phone on: April 09, 2023, 03:46:38 PM
They only got 2.37% from the binance saving app. Actually thats a little bit lower no matter what you see it. For sure there are better rates on staking or joining farm on pancakeswap than this. But the only thing you need to worry is the safety of your asset on dex too. Plus the inflation or the impermanent loss youll experience on farming. Im not sure though if there is a single stakingfor bifi but maybe the rate wouldnt be that far from Binance maybe.
1768  Other / Meta / Re: AI-generated post discussion thread: how to identify & report on: April 09, 2023, 03:15:14 PM
There are ways to enhance good posts. I know of a forum who gives 1 cent for each sensitive post.
He uses USDT for that.
Isnt it through practicing daily and based on personal experience? Also what you mean by gives 1cent per each post? Isnt it a normal way to have discussion on normal ways? Plus AI generated topics copied are probably noticeable than self improve posting of someone.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask - new feature that detects scams on: April 09, 2023, 08:05:55 AM
Well this update really helpful to anyone whose been using metamask. A prompt like this could avoid potential threats on some dapps that could have been made by scammers. Since we arent sure if we are connecting to a right and legit dapps.

I didnt recognize such dialogue box yet means Im safe for some dapps that are harmful to a wallet.
1770  Other / Meta / Re: AI-generated post discussion thread: how to identify & report on: April 09, 2023, 07:15:35 AM
I suggest we put examples of what are believed to be AI-written posts in this thread to help evaluate them and come up with a refined consensus on how to detect them.
Thats good idea but maybe we should keep it as lenient as possible or dont put names within the suspected since w arent sure yet if the content or written post are AI generated. It could be worse if we accuse someone of doing this and later on proven his innocent. Maybe a rule to what grounds a post can be submitted here. Should the post itself must be quoted including a member's name, or his/her plain post only.
1771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about Freezing of account on: April 08, 2023, 12:38:56 PM
Either your friend registered into a scam exchange that will serve its users for a while before they scam them, a phishing website, or a very shady exchange that should never be used regardless if she does copy trade or not.
Its been confirmed mate. She has been scammed and registered to a wrong exchange. So I do hope everyone report this bitrue with a domain ends in [.cm] cause its a trapped exchange copy cat. My friend's friend accepted her fate and probably learn an expensive lesson here.
1772  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about Freezing of account on: April 08, 2023, 08:57:41 AM
Okay guys Ive get it now. When she mentioned to me bitrue we are talking about the same exchange. Thus the process is quite suspicious even for me too. Cause I know they are a normal one. But when I asked her about the website indeed its bitrue but the its not the one I knew. So when I checked it, looks like it is a different one.

Can we report this exchange
Its bitrue but ends in [.cm] not [.com]

Also I think that the one he do copy trade is an accomplice of this exchange.
1773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why will I always have faith in the potential of Bitcoin? on: April 08, 2023, 08:46:08 AM
My ultimate goal can be only achieved through Bitcoin. This will happen when I go to any big store and pick up anything without thinking about how much I have in my wallet. I am not someone who is looking for a Lambo. I am someone who is going after complete Financial independence.
You mean total adoption? We are going there soon but you could do that already by using bitcoin wallet to use on some merchant or establishment. If you are wishing it for everyone, it may take a while cause not all share the same admiration over bitcoin across the globe.
1774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about Freezing of account on: April 08, 2023, 06:06:28 AM
Which exchange is that? Is it a KYC-enabled exchange or not? Is it a local exchange or international? You don't give us enough information and even if you did, we can't really help you.
I cant mentioned it cause maybe this would be fud to them or can be use as defamation right? Also the person involved dont want to compromise the situation cause if this got out to them maybe they will give her a hard time getting her money more since it got knocked out on a public discussion especially in forum. I assure you the exchange is also known, an international one.

If they have an official BTT account here, we can create a flag on them and wait for an answer and even after we do that, she may never get her money back.
Thats why, she said someone helping her now, I'll wait for her update. But I looked it up it seems they dont have an Ann thread here.
1775  Economy / Trading Discussion / Question about Freezing of account on: April 08, 2023, 05:37:03 AM
Hey there guys, I would like to open a case of my friend's friend. Maybe anybody could lay some info regarding it. There is an exchange she is using I dont want to mention the name but she got an email from them regarding freezing of her account due to malicious trading or abnormalities on her account which might involve in data leaking and money laundering. So they are holding her account balance. They said she needed to fund 20% of her account balance for verification purposes and this is within 3days span of time if not the account will be totally frozen.

Ive asked her regarding their suspicious data leaked. She said that she was just copytrading the trading input of her whale friend and they were doing it simultaneously like if the other one is doing that time she also entering the same value or entry price and hence exiting on the same target price. So basically copytrade. Maybe this is the suspected thing of the exchange. But asking for deposit to verify or cleanse a freeze account? How is that even valid right to remedy the suspicion. They should ask for an evidence or any proof of their allegations instead.

Has anyone here with the same experience? Or at least solution how to overcome besides giving the 20% verification fund to them. Cause she is scared that after she do that, what would be the guarantee that the account will be unfroze.

Highly appreciated any response.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of tokens like Uniswap, Pancakeswap, Sushiswap, Apeswap? on: April 07, 2023, 12:03:43 PM
I see lots of layer 2 projects coming up recently and I feel there'll be a hype on this projects with polygon and arbitrum leading the way. We also have AI trend still yet to hit its highest potential and I think we'll see that in the next bull market.
Even with layer 2 some of these are still uses these dex as well for major listing and dex trading like example uniswap. Aside from cex, there are still a lot of users that uses it even though the liquidity is much bigger on cex due to KYC so, its quite impossible these kind of dex wouldnt recover even with presence of L2 projects.
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crew3 an effective tool to attract community members ? on: April 07, 2023, 09:47:16 AM
I have used Crew3 and I am still on the platform, I'll say that it is more useful to the project than users. Most users might get nothing in return for their activities on the platform however the project get rewarded with free working community. I think Crew3 needs to do more to protect the interest of their users, I find Galxe more useful to users though.
Crew3, galxe, bluemove or even guild are the new trend to increase users interaction and gain active users. It seems the era of having bitcointalk social bounty is surpass by this kind by easily participating on the platform. Before I am joining a lots of social campaign, and now this is the trend and more appreciated since nft  are included on the process for completing task. Its like an automated bounty manager have secured it for cross checking via blockchain and smart contract.
1778  Other / Meta / Re: Anything wrong with wearing signature for project not registered on this forum? on: April 07, 2023, 08:04:20 AM
It is allowed in your signature space or at your profile page.

It is only not allowed in your posts.
Oh thanks for clarifying it, I just didnt know it is okay for signature to have referral links. But is there a specific regarding this that it must be related to crypto or even traditional ecommerce business can be allowed as well to be put example Lazada or amazon.

Anyway this is noted.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on Cardano on: April 07, 2023, 07:34:03 AM
Guys, I wanted to get your opinion on Cardano. I've heard a lot of good things about this cryptocurrency, I'd like to hear your opinion as well. Thanks.
Im not sure why the marketcap is still huge for this, maybe there a lot of whales or backers holding their tokens but in terms of progress, I didnt hear much about them cause if they are, there are a lot of noise already around news and social media. We all knew if a project gaining traction if theres a lot of it everywhere but none means no interesting event happening on them now or in the past time.

Not so fan of it, I think never had a chance to have this token even for trading purposes.
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of tokens like Uniswap, Pancakeswap, Sushiswap, Apeswap? on: April 07, 2023, 06:59:36 AM
With collapses of Terra, DeFi 2.0 model shows their weakness and do you think those tokens will be recover to their all time highs in 2024 bull run?
Probably yes. The dexes are the strenght of decentralization on defi projects. Without them the altcoin markets will be doomed. As far as I can see, the problem here isnt them but the community has been wrecked by previous landslide dumps last bull run. Apparently the nft era has gone down and those liquid tokens associated with them got fallen too. Maybe a new era and something new would keep them alive again and probably keep them to continue. But all in all, these dexes are important to trigger another bull run aside from bitcoin sky rocket time waiting.
