1781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 23, 2021, 10:10:09 PM
Most online gambling companies claim that they are ethical providers who are committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices.
They propose,  that their CSR are targeted at preventing or minimizing the harm associated with their activities. However,  we are aware that those who are severely addicted to gambling have shown several mental and physical health, social relationships and academic and work performance issues.
Have these companies taken any steps to minimize the harm related to online gambling?  Is their CSR functional? Not all bet sites encourage responsible gambling because they rely on revenue from the losses of  gambling addicts. My question is, should online gambling companies be responsible for the harm related to their activities because of their current failures in the implementation and control of CSR policies?
No, they shouldn't be responsible at all. People who gamble on those casinos are adults. They know what they are doing. They took the decision, they will face the consequences. Do you expect the casino to monitor all its player? That would be impossible. At best what they can do is guide users that are looking for help. They can forward them to an appropriate organization dealing with addicts and block access to their account.
1782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to use BTC and USD for pricing at the same time? on: July 23, 2021, 09:25:20 PM
I want everyone to think about this question, what is the target of payment with Bitcoin. Dollars? Or Bitcoin? I think if you use Bitcoin to pay. So no matter what the value of the dollar, companies should sell their products at a fixed price.
for example
USD: Once Musk sold Tesla to use Bitcoin for payment, but when Bitcoin fluctuated, the payment was different, and later the Bitcoin payment was cancelled.
BTC: I know ognasty's fan site https://nastyfans.org/mint. In the website, the price of 1BTC=1BTC will not change. No matter when the product is, the price will not change.
If the number of bitcoins fluctuates with the U.S. dollar, it still means that they are priced in U.S. dollars and can only be purchased through Bitcoin.
What is your opinion? Do you think Bitcoin should be priced in U.S. dollars? Is it possible to use BTC and USD for pricing at the same time?
Because it's impossible to do that right now. The supply of bitcoin is limited, hence we can't be having "fixed" amount of coins for the products we want to buy. If all products value had a fixed price in btc, then imagine what would happen if one guy held most of the coins. No one would be able to afford anything. If you are talking about why people use "USD" or some fiat currency to value, then it is because people find it easier to use fiat currency. When you receive a bill or try to settle any payment, when you will be seeing it in BTC, it would be confusing for you. You would still be converting the btc to fiat value first. This might change when everyone starts getting paid in crypto.
1783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the Best coin in 2021 on: July 23, 2021, 09:11:46 PM
How would you define best? I mean in what term? For some "best" coins are those that gives you fast profit, while for rest best coins are the coins that have real and good use cases. Don't just randomly invest in those "best" coins people are suggesting over here. People will try to shill for coins that they have invested in. Even if its a shitcoin, they will say it's the best coin. How about doing your own research and look for your best coin? Go to coinmarketcap and look at the top altcoins. Now start learning about them and judge if they are good or not. If you don't find any or are confused, don't forget about bitcoin  Wink.
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Data PROVES It: The Wealthy Were BUYING, As Amateurs Sold In Fear... on: July 23, 2021, 09:01:57 PM
We are getting rid of weak hands  Wink. They are new to the market and have never witnessed a crash before. Hence, when they see the price dropping, the start to sell whatever they are holding. While others that has been in the market for a while knows that this is actually a buying opportunity, and hence if they can afford (the wealthy people), they buy even more and keep holding. When the price starts to rise again, those who sold before realizes that they have made a mistake. They then either quite or try again, but this time they don't fall for the price crash trap.
1785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will everyone still believe in Elon Musk? on: July 23, 2021, 08:48:04 PM
I think it is hypocritical to scold Musk when he criticizes Bitcoin, and to praise him when he is optimistic about Bitcoin. I think he should take his thoughts and concerns about Bitcoin seriously, because many outsiders have these ideas. But at the same time, people should ignore his flip-flops on Twitter or act like a child. Elon Musk is just a person like everyone else. Stop using Elon Musk as an argument for or against Bitcoin, but actually listen to what he has to say and think about whether you have the answer.

We are not hypocrites, we support Bitcoin. What do you think we are going to do?
This is how everyone is. If someone shares the same opinion as you, he is a good guy. If the same guy starts to share a different opinion, he is a hypocrite and a shit head. People will always want to oppose those who don't share the same thought. They won't even listen, even though the person is right.
The same thing is happening over here. Everyone loved Elon when he said bitcoin is great. Now everyone hates him because he said bitcoin has some issues that needs to be fixed. Everyone was happy when the price was rising (even when he was shilling for doge). But now he is evil because the market crashed. I am sure everyone will change their opinion on him as soon as Elon starts shilling for crypto currencies again.
1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the bulls back? on: July 23, 2021, 08:04:34 PM
It's funny how when the price crashed, most of the people are like "bitcoin is dead" "bitcoin is a scam coins". Again, when the price starts to rise just a little, everyone is like "now is the time" "the bulls are back" "price is going to skyrocket". If you look at the charts, you will notice this volatility is very normal in the crypto market. You don't have to make any announcement every time the price drops or goes up. Price went down below $30k USD. People started mass buying and now price is back up where it was few weeks ago. Very normal.
1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do many people call Bitcoin "digital gold"? on: July 23, 2021, 02:59:59 PM
But should really stop calling bitcoin as a digital gold. I guess people call it digital gold because it has store of value just like gold. Both are "mined", but the only difference is that gold can be physically felt, but bitcoin exists only digitally. Both of them exhibits some similar properties. Back then coins were made with a mixture of silver and gold. People use those coins to buy goods. People can also use bitcoin as a currency to purchase goods. And like you said both of them are somewhat "scarce", hence people compares bitcoin with gold.
1788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time is now! on: July 22, 2021, 10:57:39 PM
Few coins that you mentioned on your list are risky to invest in. Would be better to put most of your money in bitcoin and ethereum. Maybe a little in lite coin. But be careful with the rest of the coins. And yeah, now is the perfect time to invest. The price is low, if it goes lower, invest even more.
If I'm not, WPP energy was a successful project, but these projects already cheated tokens holders. Definitely don't buy any WPP tokens, today or tomorrow it will turn out a scam project. As my experience, they technically switch to BSC during Ethereum high transaction cost. Dev did it because they wanted to burn some low holders tokens.
I don't think a "successful" project would cheat "token holders". If they really did, then they are scam project waiting to screw over rest of their investors (dump and exit). So stay away from them.
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can prediction results affect the actual market? on: July 22, 2021, 10:50:13 PM
I've been thinking that now there are many market prediction projects. I'm using X predict market for example.

People will be able to somehow know the market anticipation in advance. Like will the price of btc rise or decrease?

But this information might change participators' choices again, how should we adjust our strategy according to this kind of information?
Pure speculation. It doesn't have much affect on the market because the prediction might happen or might not. We have seen many people saying that the price of bitcoin will go below $25,000 USD. Some even say that the price might go below $10,000 USD within the end of the month. While others are saying that the price might skyrocket above $100,000 at the end of the year. But it doesn't happen. Kinda feels like most predictions are just a tactic to spread FUDs. Don't rely on those information. Just keep yourself updated with current events and then you will get a feeling what might happen to the price next.
1790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey agree to talk about bitcoin at an event in July on: July 22, 2021, 10:19:12 PM
Even after watching all this shit, I believe Elon is not hopping on bitcoin and he will keep poking his followers towards Dogecoin and it looks like he has a very huge portfolio in Dogecoins as he may have accumulated so much during the bear times and is shilling it now to go ultra-rich than ever. These hypocrites don't give a fuck to crypto and digitalization, all they want is money.
You never know. He might already be buying more bitcoin. He is just waiting for the right moment to make an announcement for the price of bitcoin to skyrocket. He did say that tesla might start accepting bitcoin again if they find out that bitcoin is actually using clean source of energy. And who knows, he might be serious with dogecoin too, but then again, there are literally tens of different coins better than dogecoin. Why would he still choose that?
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: never invest in defi projects under the name Safe or Moon on: July 22, 2021, 09:49:59 PM
I already can't count how many defi projects were released today. I think most of the projects released are defi projects. and the coins coming from that project will just be shitcoins. If you still believe in defi and keep investing in such projects, my advice is to skip projects with the name SAFE or MOON. projects using that name are just shit. plagiarism project with a very big total supply. You will regret believing in such a project.
It's not true for defi projects only, its true for almost all projects. Almost 99% of the projects that you are seeing are shit projects. They are just clone of another with no new use case. All they do is create a hype, attract idiots and then scam them. Sadly people still fall for those shit project despite hearing warnings from others. Some do it on purpose hoping they might get lucky and make a fortune.
1792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: July 22, 2021, 01:46:26 PM
You have $5,000 capital. Just buy and hold to make a nice "passive income". Put most of your money on bitcoin and some on the top altcoins like ethereum. When you are at profit, sell half of your investment and hold rest. When the price drops, buy more with your profit. Use the rest to try out your luck by investing in those very volatile and trending coins. Just make sure to dump it as soon as you make at least some profit. Those trending shitty coins usually die within a month.
1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High discount in presale on: July 21, 2021, 09:30:32 PM
What else do you think is going to happen when there is a huge "discount" during presale? It means the price of the tokens are going to be really low than the price the original price of the tokens. Most of them that buys during "discount" are the ones that sell as soon as they can to get as much profit they can before the project dies.
Stop thinking about or investing in those projects. It's not worth it at all. Put your money on bitcoin or one of the top well known coins!
1794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC fall below $20,000? Bargain hunting? on: July 21, 2021, 09:27:17 PM
I doubt we are going below $20,000 USD. The $29,000 USD support held well. The price bounced back and reached almost $33,000 USD. I guess we are going to stay around this level until the end of the month. The more the price crashes, the more opportunity for buyers. We have already seen this as people already started to buy as soon as the price went below $30,000 USD. The upcoming months are going to be really interesting.
1795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens have a future? I need 3 of them on: July 21, 2021, 05:53:29 PM
Almost 99% of those tokens that you are seeing has no future at all. They will all die and new ones will pop up which will face the same fate. Don't blindly invest in those tokens people are suggesting over here. Most of them are trying to shill for those shitty tokens they have invested in. Just do your own study and decide which one might have a good future. It's going to be very risky.
Why look for tokens when you can just invest in coins like bitcoin or ethereum and hold them for good profit?
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Destroy 1,069 Bitcoin Miners With Steamroller In Malaysia on: July 21, 2021, 02:45:01 PM
Heard about this. Those miners were stealing power and mining crypto currencies. When the authorities realized this, the policed found them out and seized their equipment. What baffles me the most is that it took them almost four months to realize something was wrong lol.I am curious, why did they destroy those mining rigs? They could have just auctioned it and put the money to better use.  What a waste...
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for newbies loss in bitcoin on: July 21, 2021, 02:41:32 PM

1) People think Bitcoin as tool to become rich overnight

The main reason for people investing in bitcoin is that they see btc as tool to become rich overnight and according to them if they would invest $100 or $1000 in bitcoin it would be double or triple within days and when they see their investment going down next step they get nervous and want to safe themselves from any further loss. They see on news and article that btc is up 1200% this year and they think it will keep on rising and when this does not happen they panic sell and start dumping their coins. They need to be atleast have patience and know it will take certain time for btc to jump back.Apple,Microsoft and other shares have not make upto S&P 500 overnight but still bitcoin is keeping the pace very fast.
It's true in most of the cases. There are people that think that they will get rich over night investing in crypto currencies. Hence they look for coins that are being "hyped". They invest in those coins when the see the price is being pumped and then loses everything overnight when the price gets dumped and dies. Others that invest on top crypto currencies loses patience and then sells everything at the wrong time to get out of it.

2) People ignore the volatility factor and past Crashes

Many new investors enter the market in the investment hype and hope for steady rise and ignore the main "Volatility" factor and it is the basic knowledge every investor must have prior investment. The volatility in crypto market is high and prices can fluctuates highly but when it goes down they start panicking and do the same mistake which is biggest mistake. Market have seen many dips and crash like situations but still they tend to ignore it and got nervous. They should see this chart history before any judgement:

When it have witnessed more than 70-80% crash in prices and still managed to rise to this level so why do panic sellers think it is bubble and will burst this time? It has been declared dead hundred times and still trading at $30k so if you underestimate it you will be in loss in future.

3) Whales manipulation and FUD

This is most common technique to create dump like situations in market to gain huge profits from this situation and accumulate more bitcoins at cheap prices. They spend rumours and create FUD in the market to which most of the newbies will get panic and start selling off and exactly same thing happens and the only ones who suffer loss out of this will be panic sellers.

WE ALL NEED TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION ALL THE FACTORS BEFORE INVESTING INTO BITCOIN AND HAVE PATIENCE FOR SOME TIME MOST IMPORTANTLY IN THESE DIPS SO THAT IT GET SOME REATAIL SUPPORT.
This is also true. Those who are new to the market can't bare to see the price crash. They don't realize that those crash had been happening from the very beginning and that they are just price correction. They fall for FUDs hence they panic and sell everything thinking that they will be able to minimize their loss when "btc dies".
1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are the things you are doing right now on: July 20, 2021, 10:38:58 PM
The market is being very boring right now (like most of the time). Just holding and nothing else. Invested on some bitcoin when the price when down to $30k USD. Will probably invest a little more when it goes down even more. Wait for the next bull run and probably sell half of what I have invested. Isn't this what everyone is doing right now though? Some might take the advantage of how volatile the market is right now by trading.
1799  Economy / Economics / Re: Higher Inflation Is Here to Stay for Years on: July 20, 2021, 10:35:08 PM
You do realize that even if higher inflation exists, the "real" prices of general goods are actually going down or is the same for the consumers, which means that the long term affect of high inflation is actually neutral? Pre pandemic, we had  a low inflation (the good inflation) which was actually more than perfect. Right now we have a high inflation which is mainly due to the spending for economic reliefs such as stimulus and equivalents which has somewhat increased the money supply. This should just be a short term effect.
1800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small capital and Big capital on: July 20, 2021, 10:21:22 PM
Trading and investment is a game of numbers and moreso how to use the numbers judiciously while properly applying the knowledge. Some people say small capital is the best to start trading with while others say small capital will leave you with limited choices that the best is to trade with big funds. Starting with big fund will always be the best provided the user is able to manage it. So many things are connected but I conclude that big capital is good but a good trader can work with small and big funds and make profits with it. Let me hear your opinion on this!
Doesn't matter if you have a "small" capital or a "big" one. You can always start trading. The only difference is, with bigger capital, you will be able to make more profit, you will have more options and you will likely be taking more risk. Having large capital will give you a huge boost when it comes to investing and trading.
On other hand, with smaller capital, you won't be getting the same return since you will be risking less. Nonetheless, it doesn't matter. Everything starts from "small", right?
