Maybe replace the link with bitcoin's WP instead of a link to the forum. I am fine with the other forum links (Welcome to the new Bitcoin forum! and Satoshi Lesson).
I find it strange that a post which has a similar point to Jet Cash was deleted by the mod together with my reply that's also similar with the OP's response to JC. I don't think UserU's post was really off-topic. A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted. Aren't we supporting the forum by already engaging with it? Since both visitors and members already represent the viewcounts and engagements through both topics and ads, bearing the site's sig and avatar doesn't seem to add much value. In addition, it can be supported (or promoted) via external channels such as other forums, social media and paid advertisements.
If I'm the forum owner, I'd rather effectively utilize the spaces for advertising external brands.

Rather than Newbies, shouldn’t the aim of the topic be for those that do not use a Custom Trust List instead (and are beyond Newbies by a mile)?
Users like me needs to learn how to use the DT voting system I guess. Newbies cannot use it yet but there's no harm in TalkStar's purpose in educating them about the system. At least they already have a better understanding once they are eligible to vote.

Not for Conor maybe but that's probably one of the biggest pay Cowboy is going to get. Whether we admit it or not, Mcgregor lost some of his market value with the defeat against Khabib and the rising of new UFC stars like Adensanya and Masvidal. If he gets a convincing win against Donald, he'll probably get higher compensation regardless of who his next opponent is. |

You can check mine if you want. I just tested it a while ago and OP is correct. You can put a different description and link it to another website. In my case, I used "testing" and linked it to coinmarketcap.com You can also test it on your own profiles. |

As I mentioned there was profile where I saw it was displayed telegram and on click it was a referral link I asked about that.
It's a "dirty" trick for sure and I don't like that but referral links aren't forbidden in your signature, personal text, or website. You can put any link in there as long as it is not a phishing site. |

Bounty and other marketing campaigns are all trial and error in my opinion since there are no sure fire strategy that can guarantee a successful ICO. From what I know, most serious projects now have their private funding already for the initial development of the project and some of them even have their MVP ready before they even launch their bounty campaign and public token sale. From your point of view, what other points are there which projects and investors both look for?
The points to look for has been answered many times already but the way most people look at new projects now, the only way they would invest is when new projects will be listed on bigger exchanges (IEO). |

My question is how do newly developed projects that are not an ICO and don't have millions for ads even promote themselves? Where can you find them?
I'm pretty sure I have seen some new projects here boasting that they never had an ICO. I have said this already, but i believe there should be a section where we could discuss projects that we believe have a bright future and need help with their promotion. Altcoin Discussion is the right board but the problem is that there are just too many projects that are competing here. Too many good ideas die because of lacking funds... Maybe because people have grown tired of these new projects that no amount of advertising can make crypto investors read the first page of their whitepaper or just open their website.
I hope this post does not end up being a titan coin shill. |

I am in luck to day The first two topics I opened in this board is about this titan coin. They are kind of making some good post but it is clear that the end game was to shill the coin. Here, take a look at the two posts I was talking about Topic 1So, I was looking for some altcoins to invest in and many experts here advised me to do my research before investing in any new coin. In fact, most people to whom I asked advice in this regard told me to thoroughly research a new coin before investing in it. Fair enough. So, now my question is how exactly I do that.
I was reading online and found a few blogs that talk about the factors to consider while evaluating a new cryptocurrency or project. Factors that include research on Crypto coin based on a number of things such as the purpose, use of blockchain, coin economics, usage, team, etc.
Is there anything else that I should be looking for or are these the only factors to consider?

Comment of OP on the same topicI have been reading on multiple comunities and gathering data about the top trending coins for investment. So far, what most people have suggested is that I should invest only in top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and ETH, because one cannot simply trust the new coins. I agree on that part. But my concern is the high price volatility of these coins. I want to invest in short term and can't afford to take risk with such highly unstable coins.
Many experts have also advised me to do my research before investing in a new coin. I did that and found out about one or two coins which seem really genuine and worth my time and money. For instance, Titan Coin presents a good enough case in the form of an altcoin which works similar to bitcoin.
I also checked announcement thread of titan projects on bitcointalk, according to which they are regularly launching apps, exchange is also coming. What I mean by that is they are progressing in development part and other forums and media are also talking good future about the project.
What is your take on this?
