Bonus Gallery Smiley

Some more playing with the AI.

How it will looks like if famous artist from the past would paint bitcoin:

Michelangelo

Leonardo da Vinci

Rembrandt

Vincent van Gogh

Oh nice Smiley it is addictive for sure and does amazing job.
It is struggling with logos, I've noticed another non bitcoin logos looking weird.
You can try adding "unreal engine" and 4k as a key words too and see the result.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin art created by AI {gallery} ... and the satoshi portrait as well. on: August 10, 2022, 10:24:42 PM
All the images are created based on given words.
If you open any of the images you can see what are the keywords in the filename of the files. I would love to add them under every image but my free time won't be enough for this enormous job right now, so opening in a new tab will do the job.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin art created by AI {gallery} ... and the satoshi portrait as well. on: August 10, 2022, 09:26:45 AM
With the quality of the art and the speed to generate the image after the request (approx 1-2 min depending on the server load) I can see that soon the digital artists will be replaced by AI.
You can send a request with a description and voilą, you get your piece done in 1-2 min, in addition you get a few different versions you can choose from.

... And the software is still in a beta testing. After seeing what quality of the art is doing and it's capable to change and merge different styles, it's crazy!

I encourage everyone to go and check their discord, you will be amazed.

You have probably heard of the AI who created image of how the last selfie ever taken could look like.
Those are insane art creations of an AI bot based on given words in discord.
Here's the AI project's website > https://www.midjourney.com/home/
I searched the different rooms for the keyword "bitcoin".

Here are just a few more interesting examples of what came up.

... more to come Smiley

that sounds pleasant.

be well soon!

thank you.

it fucking hurts.

say a scale of 5 or 6 out of ten.

but very relentless nonstop.

hoping that once i give a nice shit some pain is relieved 😅

I guess depending on the age it takes a bit longer to recover if you are 40+ but after a month it will be much less pain when you move or trying to stand up. Just avoid lifting heavy things (1-2 kg are really a thing at that stage). Also try not catching a cold or coughing that hurts like hell...
I wishing you a good quick recovery mate!

189  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: August 08, 2022, 09:39:21 AM
I would not recommend any online services for signing a message, only for verifying.
Pasting your private key into the web browser is just the same as giving away the access to your address.
The only browser based signing tools which are secure are the ones from the hardware wallets providers.

There are so many trojanhorses, malwares, clipboard hijackers out there that even for staking address I won't trust a browser one.

Take an old pc/laptop even with windows xp, doesn't matter. Install electrum and you are done! You can have even a portable Electrum that need no installation.

Make a paper wallet and keep it somewhere safe. Any time you need to sign a message use the pc/laptop.

That's all!

190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saylor steps down as Microstrategy CEO on: August 04, 2022, 07:25:53 AM
As long as they are not selling like Musk, they are not really on a loss.
Nobody can identify precisely the bottoms and the tops so, hodling is the best strategy, and Saylor knows it.
Just wait until the next bull run. Then he will be the smartest guy in the room again..
I bought my bitcoins back when the price was 4.5K and I didn't sell them when it hit that 3K in 2019 even tho I was at a loss, of course those were my money, not investor's money, but if you trust the judgment of a guy on a highly volatile asset like bitcoin with your money you should expect this kind of scenarios to happen.

Emotions are really difficult to control.

193  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers on: July 14, 2022, 04:37:22 PM
Just an idea here, if you change the letters into binary then instead of buying a whole set of stamping letter you need two old screwdrivers one Philips and one flat one and you are done, you need just a bigger washers.
194  Economy / Reputation / Re: [List] Merit Sources without activty in the past 20 days on: July 13, 2022, 01:18:41 PM
Is it possible to request an update to these figures, please?
Hello Timelord, hope you are doing well Smiley
Ups, I somehow missed that one, sorry for the delayed answer, I will do an update in the next few days, together with the list of the Top inactive accounts, and some other old threads that are worth updating.

Thanks for the previous update - I was looking for another list and came across this one, so I figure I'll ask for another update if possible? (no rush mind you).

Sure, I'll make an update as soon as I come back from vacation.
There are many threads I've abandoned the last 1-2 years due to lack of time. Sad
195  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers on: July 08, 2022, 06:56:28 AM
you can make a ton of money providing marking service or renting it out.
Who's going to rent a device to "print" their seed phrase? That seems risky!

I'm not talking about renting it to make seed phrase backups, that's still "electronic device" and even if you delete the seed file, for sure there will be a way to recover it.
There are many small manufacturers which could use your service. Of course, all depends from where you are located. In a rural farmlands you won't have that much marking there to do for sure Smiley
As I said in my first post, buying this machine only for making seed backups is an overkill.

For a fraction of the price of the e-mark you could get this >

It will do the same job, not that nice and not that fast but way cheaper Smiley
196  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers on: July 07, 2022, 09:14:33 PM
Wow, I never thought that this machine would draw so much  interest.
Regarding the price, I'll quote my previous commet.

Of course, the price (of a new one) is almost as the price of a 10 years old VW up! but it's a hell of a machine. If you are lucky to put your hands on one of those you won't regret.

The Initial investment is serious but you can make a ton of money providing marking service or renting it out.
I promise I'll do a nice review when I get the time.
197  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers on: July 07, 2022, 10:10:32 AM

I can post the results later if anyone is interested Cheesy

I am very interested in your review of this machine.

I have only the doubt about the costs, and the fact that, being quite a specific industrial machine, someone could be suspectful of the usage if shipped to a private customer.

I would gladly make a review when I'm back from vacation.
Just some quick info.
In general, it's a great dot peen type for marking any metal surfaces, stainless steel, iron, no problem.
It comes with a software and you can design the labels on the computer, then transfer the files via USB stick or another clever option is to create a barcode for the label, print it out on paper and there's a wireless barcode scanner (I think it's an option, depending on the package) when connected to the machine and when you scan the code, you can directly load the label from that barcode.
You can adjust the hardness of punching, you can also crate and punch logos.
Of course, the price (of a new one) is almost as the price of a 10 years old VW up! but it's a hell of a machine. If you are lucky to put your hands on one of those you won't regret.

Does not support QR codes, at least not by default, you can upload a QR code in form of picture.
Can use datamatrix code and it comes in a nice suitcase with spare battery and spare needle.
I think it's about 3 kg, quite heavy but there's conformable handle to hold it, and you can make a small stand for if you planning to punch series of plates.

That's for now, I'll take some pics when I'm back Smiley

I love the idea to save your seed phrase on a washers or metal in general.

In this case I think I went a bit too far with it.

I can post the results later if anyone is interested Cheesy

Made a test piece here... made it less visible on purpose.

199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin address re-usage can lead to theft of private keys on: July 04, 2022, 08:13:43 AM
just a side note here, bitcoin.com is not the real home for bitcoin, just to know that the link there describing the advantages of their bitcoin wallet is not the real bitcoin wallet, it's just the Rorger Ver's altcoin.
