181  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: April 20, 2023, 07:59:15 AM
Yes OP, it's true.
And it's true because people who are poor minded or middle class go for show off and the poor class is worried about tomorrow's food while the upper middle class is worried about their neighbors and will do anything to burn their asses, of which the upper class takes enough advantage. Upper class focuses on spreading their money through investments in stocks and/or various businesses while middle class goes for small happiness like buying cars, home or property on EMI and paying the instalments lifetime. And later, their children either enjoy or just sell off their stuff that they gave their entire life to collect, and those children go out of country to become slaves of other countrymen who then exploit them after taking hefty fees to give visa to them to their country. This cycle goes on and on and so, upper class becomes richer and middle class either remains the same or gets into the category of poor but hardly gets rich. And poor class gets poorer with more inflation that takes place in future.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I found my financial success in Bitcoin 1 year on: April 19, 2023, 06:52:49 PM
It looks like you have started accumulating BTC since June last year when it fell down near $18k. It was a nice approach because when there's blood on the streets and people say that the asset has died and there's no more interest of anybody in it, that's when it begins test the patience of real hodlers who don't give a damn about the price of BTC but keep buying it and gain more and more possession. This is a very good way of being a good hodler and also get into profits in a matter of years if you're a long term hodler. However, congratulations to you and we hope that you excel in your journey ahead.
183  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: April 19, 2023, 05:57:35 PM
Scamming through roulette is definitely possible. However, can I ask you to gamble a same size bet on all 36 numbers except 0 and see if the casino manages to bring up number 0 only in the very same game? If they do, can you please repeat it and see if they do it again in the next game too? I'm not favoring any casinos here and I know that such practices do take place in roulette, however not all of them would do it.  As well, it's not the casino specifically but the game provider that does this and if that's true, we should never play games from such game providers because they'll only try to loot your money by making you lose every single bet. Even in the game of cards (be it blackjack, poker, andar bahar, etc.) I have witnessed that most of the times, dealer wins. So it's possible that they have something behind the scenes that we don't know about.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 19, 2023, 04:47:32 PM
--snip--
I personally budget my gambling funds so that I won't regret if I lose and I still have money to comeback my losing next time I play the casino. I'm also one of those gambling addicts before and I learned how to properly manage myself real hard after losing so much money. I believe that not everyone of us has a way to manage our gambling habit, which I also believe that those person are the one who lose really hard in gambling.

It's great to know that you've overcome your addiction and that you're no more an addicted gambler, which means that we can control on our emotions, all we need is the will power to do that. But generally, as you said that those who don't have the way to manage their gambling habits lose really hard, I believe that they must go and consult to gambling advisors to help them stop doing it because this habit won't only ruin their own life but will also affect their family members if they ever think of gambling through loans and credits.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 19, 2023, 02:23:26 PM
The only money you can't think about even after losing is the money that you CAN afford to lose. Let's say you lose even $10 and then a thought comes to your mind that why did I gamble, I should have bought a cup of coffee or a packet of cigarettes instead, then it's not the money you can afford to lose because if you do, such thought would not have come to your mind at the first place. So, gamble ONLY with the money you can afford to lose. Making money with it needs luck and if you're lucky, get out with some money you won and just enjoy with it. Don't get stuck in front of your mobile screen playing those games continuously because continuation of it will only make you lose everything in the end. Even if you double up your money, just withdraw it and go out, party with friends and leave gambling for that day. Set a fixed amount that you can afford to lose each month, then divide it by 4 and use the outcome each week and enjoy. Wink
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: April 13, 2023, 10:48:26 PM
It depends on the reason why the loan was taken at whatever time it was taken. However, taking loans continuously to clear old debts or should I say, bad debts sometimes is not at all a good practice and should be avoided at any cost because it's never easy to get out of this cycle once you get stuck in it. If you have less money, you'll think that how will I repay and if you've got enough money to repay, you'll think that now I'm earning enough, so I'll repay slowly. That's not how a borrower should do, and at most try to clear his debts whenever he is capable of doing so, in order to get out of that situation and should also not take back a loan for whatever reason if he thinks he can manage the funds anyhow through any channel but not loan.
187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market is seasonal on: April 12, 2023, 11:45:54 PM
Yes, somehow it is seasonal.
When the bear season takes place, we don't experience straight losses but the portfolio gets down slowly to kick out the weakest of the weak hands possible and then, the whales begin their show where they try to push back the price up so that it gets harder for retails to catch up the train because the speed of pricing it up is way higher than you think. Even whales get ditched by institutions who try to keep the markets down to accumulate as many BTC as possible and it's ultimately the game of those who hold the most BTC because the more BTC you have, the more you can manipulate alts.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Times When Casinos Will Ask Certificate That You Are A Responsible Gambler on: April 12, 2023, 11:22:38 PM
If casinos ever do that, it would be like inviting problems to harm oneself (its reputation and image here) as till today, we have heard great as well as sad stories of gamblers winning and losing huge. Gamblers who have lost huge in numbers were never asked to gamble at the casinos they gambled away their money at (no casino personally asks you to come and play there, all they do is marketing stuff and promotional emails based on your agreed consent, that's it), so why would they ask you for a certificate to prove that you're a responsible gambler? Won't this impede the casinos' business overall?

If and only if, the regulatory body wants casinos to do that in order to prevent bigger losses to people, losses which could make exceptional differences to their personal life, then the casinos may ever do that but that's never going to happen. It's like asking a 25 year old chain smoker (smoking since 15 years of age) to prove that his lungs are fit and that he can easily inhale/exhale the nicotine that's released inside the body every single time he smokes.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ridiculous Bets that disappointed you on: April 12, 2023, 11:05:58 PM
In my case, my ridiculous bet wasn't about betting a big quantity but the least odds on which I lost. It was not big, but I lost $50 last year when I betted my money on a cricket game and the team that was winning had odds around 1.05.
Suddenly, the opposite team started cracking big shots due to which they changed the whole game and took it till the last ball, while also winning it and made the winners lose.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigged Game on: April 11, 2023, 05:53:58 PM
TBH, I don't think there's anything that can let us know about a rigged casino or some games over there but the reviews of people about it. If you see that many people are joining a discussion or have complaints against a casino regarding losing too much on a certain game, avoid that casino because you'll also end up being a victim gambler over there. There are various gambling site review sites available and we must check them out before gambling on a casino.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and dollar on: April 11, 2023, 05:21:45 PM
It looks like dollar has already been oversold against major currencies like GBP, EUR, CAD and AUD and BTC too.
We may see some retracement before BTC gets back to its true value in terms of Mining:Rewards ratio in terms of USD (it's still not the best if I'm not wrong). Movements in dollar index used to communicate with the price of BTC against USD, but since it has already been under accumulation for a very long time, it broke its rhythm with DXY and now going its own way. I'm also noticing that only BTC and ETH are moving great, and alts are still waiting to boost which means that most of the money is being circulated in BTC and ETH only.

You need a reason to join the Tenet train? Well here’s one aside the fact that Tenet is building the industry's leading Web3 language models starting with DeFi-GPT, it gives room to stake a diversified basket of tokens and receive yield for validating a blockchain!

195  Other / Meta / Re: How to add your Bitcointalk profile to your homescreen on: April 04, 2023, 11:29:22 AM
I understand that everyone here is trying to protect their bitcoin talk account, but I can tell you that nobody cares for your account because I don't think giving your phone to someone for a couple of minutes and the person will hack your account, no the person will not hack your account, I can use my self for instance, nobody knows what am doing with my cellphone people always think am chatting with someone or playing video game with my cell phone.
More importantly, is not good to share your cell phone with friends, especially the ones that contain your important details.

Lol what?
Nobody cares about our account?
Tell me something, there are people with more than one accounts (let's take the case of jamalaezaz as that was the recent I remember due to his apology thread). If someone takes his mobile ffs, he/she would easily be able to get into his personal world and would get all the details of his alt accounts he is currently handling or have abandoned. That's one thing.

However, those with single accounts like you (probably), me and everyone here would definitely not want our accounts to either be used or compromised and there are several things that one can add on their homescreen, like gambling websites where they gamble often, informative websites where they read a lot (like news sites), websites where they're learning something through online courses, etc. But nobody does that because if someone (even if your closed ones) know about it, where's the privacy here? Would you like to shout loud about what you've been doing in your life and keep things super transparent about yourself? Then it won't bother you, else you'll definitely not want to share your phone to anybody with all major things available on your home screen itself.
196  Other / Beginners & Help / Do you share with your friends and relatives about your crypto holdings? Beware! on: April 04, 2023, 10:31:00 AM
You've been warned that sharing about your crypto holdings to your friends or even family may put your investments in danger. There have been cases where those people who shared about their current crypto holdings or positions became victims of possible hacks of either their PCs/laptops or their accounts too where no 2FA was enabled. Even if your friends/relatives are so good, it is said that even walls have eyes and ears. So it's better that you share such things very carefully so that your left hand doesn't know what your right one did. TBH, I'd never suggest to share about your crypto holdings at all because it's all about your privacy and if you open it up voluntarily, then what's the point of using crypto?
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Ledger hacked, 30 BTC stolen on 04/02/2023 on: April 04, 2023, 09:17:26 AM
You may try to get the location of that person traced through the IP address, but I believe that nobody is that fool to leave footprints for you to reach them out. Let me ask you this:
Did you let anyone know that you are holding Bitcoins with you? If yes, to how many people is this known? You must go to police and give their names as suspects and they should be interrogated on the basis of doubt. Who knows whether you're trying to find a thief outside but one is already known to you?

--snip--
However, the probability that thieves will make the mistake of not going through P2P but through a CEX KYC regulated is extremely low, and above all, this idea is only valid if you have a proof of purchase of your 30 BTC.

Good luck to you OP

You forgot that they may go through mixers to save their back. If they're smart enough to go through P2P, they'll first use mixing services to reduce the possibility of tracing the coins.
198  Other / Meta / @TryNinja Satoshi gifted me 50 merits, where are they? on: April 01, 2023, 02:31:19 AM

200  Economy / Gambling / Re: MEGA:PARI | Gambling&Betting | TAKE PART IN CRYPTO GIVEAWAY 💸💸💸 on: March 30, 2023, 10:56:25 AM

Hey. Sorry for the unpleasant experience. I have checked the payment page and it says that the fees differ from one to another. Anyway I understand that it is unfair that your winnings were taken by the payment processing. Would you like to accept an 3$ freebet on sports as a compliment?

To be very honest, I'm interested in taking your offer.
I don't know if people would think that I did all this just for what you offered, but I'll definitely take that freebet just because I didn't expect that I'll be charged that much.

However, please state the possible fees that will be charged on future withdrawals, so that no such confusion (and anger/aggression) takes place ahead. Thanks for the complimentary bet.
