1161  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet $15,000 confiscated due to US Citizenship on: October 05, 2020, 09:59:12 PM
Cloudbet and many other ^so-called reputed^ gambling and sportsbetting websites have been in the discussions since few days already. I know how cloudbet stopped one player get their jackpot by accusing them of multi-accounting and this multi-accounting phrase looks like a perfect advantage for these sportsbetting sites in order to stop their customers from leaving these sites happily with their money. And now this KYC clause. I believe they are just trying to stop users to remain in their sites play there and end up losing everything (if they have not frozen a user's account but are also not paying their winnings). You've not been in US, just a citizen but the place you live in does allow you to gamble at this site, so I still don't get it where the problem came from?

@OP, I wish you great luck while trying to resolve such a matter where you need to plead for your own money.
1162  Economy / Economics / Re: Money printing and inflation explained on: October 05, 2020, 09:39:16 PM
Money is printed and destroyed.
Physical money is destroyed.

This destruction of physical money is different from cryptocurrency burning. Or the purposes are not the same. Cryptocurrency is burnt when the supply is too much and when that is done, more investors purchase and the price go up. But for physical cash, it is basically defaced money, dirty etc.

Or you can also call it burnt when those leftover Bitcoins are never ever touched nor moved? If I was to consider Satoshi's BTC, I'd consider them dead coins because I believe Satoshi is never going to sell his BTC because either he lost his privkeys or something unusual might have happened or he's too much patient to hold his coins. Nonetheless, there are many like Satoshi who kept BTC, but forgot about it. If any of those BTC's owners are either dead or have lost their possession on that BTC, I'd call those BTC as burned.

And yeah, there are cryptocurrencies which get burnt in numbers but it has nothing to do with inflation or hyperinflation, as it only happens with the projects which are extremely helpful to the real world aspects. About Fiat, they print it for their own good, to save their ASSets from being auctioned due to the debts they are coating on themselves day by day. Printing new money and burning old ones is good only when the Government had plans in mind, unlike what happened when demonetization occurred in India.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How is this possible ? A Recent transaction suddenly becomes invalid on: October 05, 2020, 09:10:27 PM
I keep my Bitcoin on a hardware wallet. I use Electrum together with my hardware wallet only when sending Bitcoin, and I haven't been doing much of that since the new 4.0 versions came out. I like to wait before big upgrades to give the developers some time to fix bugs and glitches. I am planning to upgrade before my next consolidation transactions.

Holding on your own, waiting to update your wallet software invites malware or internal server manipulation as well as hacks if the system has gone outdated. It's better to go with the flow and update each and every time you see it (without waiting of course) as it will only save you from the possible bad things that might happen with your coins just because you wanted to wait.

@OP, It has never been a good idea to provide any services and / or digital goods to anyone who sent you some coins but the coins didn't confirm. Ask them to wait for at least 6 confirmations because after that, it becomes impossible for them to double-spend that transaction and saves you from the hassle of getting scammed.
1164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : what features you want in it on: October 05, 2020, 08:49:03 PM
I believe the fees are quite high at some major DEXs, so they should better focus on reducing their fees. I know that fee is probably the only thing that helps them run their website over the network but when most DEXs are based on ERC-20 based tokens, I urge them to try to bring a scalable solution first in order to let their users trade with least stress about fee. Would also love to see some more volume and liquidity over DEXs.
1165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin maturity ?!What do you think? on: October 05, 2020, 08:27:16 PM
I'm glad someone is enjoying the stability of BTC too as I've always been seeing people talking about the quick changes in price and their mourn while regretting to have entered the wrong trades. I believe that this stability is working like a charm and BTC holding a healthy price tag of over $10k and standing at it is just awesome compared to seeing it getting too volatile with $1k or more pump or dump moves. Although I think of that volatility to be an advantage as well as adventure for us, many people get rekt as well as liquidated when these things happen. So, it's better to trade in a range and enjoy the current stability too while it lasts.
1166  Economy / Economics / Re: Stocks fall down due to trump catching the virus on: October 05, 2020, 08:16:50 PM
I believe that the US stocks were likely to see a drop after watching their own President getting affected by Coronavirus which they had been tackling since more than 5 months. It's true that this cannot be directly correlated to Trump because he can't be the reason alone here but yeah, after his news came, the markets which were already red got more declined in their values making him the talk of the town while the news played some indirect role in that decline.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tron (TRX) Ever Reach $5? on: October 05, 2020, 07:25:21 PM
It's been months since we saw TRX even above 5 cents.
Any coin that comes out from the box of Magician Justin Sun is a joke and TRX had been one of it. I believe TRX didn't even get above 50 cents till date, so $5 is too far a story for the same.
TBH, it's just a strategy to make you buy more into this shitcoin and then let you hodl while they bring the price up, and when they feel they need the money, you're the one who will feel the heat of the dump. Wink

That may only become possible when Tron does 20x and BTC also does 10x, may your dream come true soon. Smiley
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blindness in DeFi and sheeple to wealth on: October 05, 2020, 07:11:21 PM
Investors can't be greedy, these people are greedy traders who look for get-rich-quick schemes and then regret at some point later. But when these DeFi projects offer some names in their whitepapers about the companies which provide them the security to be rest assured that their contract and funds will remain SaFu after auditing their contract, I'd like to ask those dickheads - What about your audits? Where is the security you have to the project owners? It's not like that the project owners alone lose it, but the greedy investors too. Even if they have invested with greed, they shouldn't be cheated like this. Or maybe one of the project admins do these kinda things to conduct exit scams?

@bitgolden, their returns are just in terms of their own tokens and this is the inverse strategy of gaining more and more market capitalization with extra supply getting added every single day in the form of rewards. So when everything is free, why will others buy it? They hodl it and then just dump it on those innocent yet stupid buyers who set a buy price at exchanges.
1169  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Quickly double trx token on: October 05, 2020, 05:22:04 PM
Fraud on this forum is not moderated, so there is no need to disturb the forum administration. For this, a trust system and a flag system were created.

I can understand your concern, mate but you got my point wrong here. What I meant to say is, when such people have the dare to come here and share the scam link without any fear, either such thread / post should be deleted and / or he should be banned immediately. That's it. I'm not asking to find that person and get him behind the bars, but we can blacklist him no?

It has been discussed many times that the best way to counter fraud is to warn other users.

Albeit, users were already warned so many times, still these scammers manage to get a few people fall into their trap. Sad

1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DeFi - The Scam Engine? on: October 05, 2020, 04:59:15 PM
I know that you may see this as one of the most strange topics to be here, but I'm honestly trying to bring this thing in front of everyone to make people aware of probably this year's gold-coated scamming style - DeFi.

I will not start giving any explanation about what is DeFi and blah blah, but would like to come straight to the point.

YFI - The ultimate beast (parent coin) of all DeFi coins that was not even worth a cent according to its devs but people started trading it at $3 initially and then the game started where investors threw it to over BTC4.4, a number none of us ever expected to happen but it did. (Came back to BTC1.5 recently and liquidated many longs as well as made extreme losses to thode who bought at its peak).

Next came its grand children with names like XYFI, UYFI, YYFI, ZYFI and whatnot.

Then came UNI, got farmed as well as gave extremely exceptional rewards to early users of their platform who traded some specific coins there. Everything was free so they just dumped it even at that high liquidity available. The value rose to over $8 but is under half of it now.

And many others like Sushi (an abandoned project which later on got took over by ftx devs), Bzrx (great team but too many hacks so community killed the liquidity of this coin), Rfuel, Many, FLM and so many DeFi coins have now reminded me of the 2018 crash, but don't you think it's too early for DeFi projects to be crashing this high?

I am not against DeFi coins, but TBH, these coins are just tickling our inner greed to which we respond so quickly not as a good trader, but a greedy one. My advice would be to keep yourself too safe from investing in these coins and even if the project is too good whatsoever, please don't invest anything that you can't afford to lose. Remember that whenever someone makes a 100x, he makes almost 100 people lose their capital (according to my observation).
1171  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Quickly double trx token on: October 05, 2020, 04:43:17 PM
Wow, a new scam popping up every single day but now they are trying to make Bitcointalk as their hub of duping people into their shitty schemes? This is getting ridiculous and I urge noobs not to invest a pie in OP's stupid get-rich-quick scheme.

@theymos, I know that you don't log down our IP addresses as that's because of the privacy policy of the forum, but don't you think that scammers who dare coming here and trying to scam, should be nuked at any cost?
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 05, 2020, 03:58:00 PM
I agree, the NBA just can't be completely rigged. Maybe there is one or two bad apples but the hole NBA is just too big to be rigged. The money in NBA comes from the fans. Imagine if the news break that a team is losing on purpose just to make some money when betting. I am pretty sure non of the fans would actually watch the games anymore, buy anymore tickets to live games, will nevery buy any merchandise again, and so. It would be the death sentence to a team if such information would become public.

TBH, if NBA is rigged, then:

- Every person who wins a merchandise in the game is fixed

- Every person who gets a chance to play basketball on the court before the start of the game and between halftime and wins some stuff is fixed

- Every person who wins an autograph of their favorite player is fixed

- Even NBA draft lottery is fixed

But to that death sentence thing, I never heard such type of punishments ever given to any team ever before but yeah, if not in a literal meaning but the way people will treat those players of that team, then yeah it'll definitely be worth a death statement to those players who would have sold their dignity for some money. I bet players get paid extrmely high enough they can't really be bought by anyone else under any circumstances.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 04, 2020, 09:58:02 PM
If it's rigged, it means the outcome of the matches is already fixed, then those who get the insider info about such games are sureshot winners and we are at a disadvantage because it is something that's already been discussed and decided between a few people but we don't have any idea about what is going to happen.

I don't really believe NBA is rigged! I mean, are you talking about shot to shot? Or the free throws? Or the teams that win the match(es)? Tbh, these basketball players are paid super handsome amounts to play those matches in the basketball courts, how can their ^dignity^ be even bought when they have already been paid such hefty amounts before?
1174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading P&D groups on: October 04, 2020, 09:31:37 PM
If you are new to trading, you should follow Blockchain Whispers on their official telegram channel @blockchainwhispersbaby
You will gain lots of free information as well as knowledge about cryptocurrencies and even some free calls (he gave BZRX call when none of us even knew about it and made over 80x with that coin). You may also get offended with his language as he speaks very straightforward, but speaks very meaningful things that help us succeed in trading. And yeah, it's not a P&D group at all. Wink

Don't fall for P&D traps as you'll get hit someday badly when they will just start dumping on you to get their money doubled or even more. Don't let your innocence be cheated.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: October 04, 2020, 09:04:18 PM
If you are good at sportsbetting, then there is no need to increase your bet size because here, size really doesn't matter unless you want to earn higher profits than you usually do with these bets.

If you are extremely sure about the matches you are going to bet on, then playing with bigger bets is fine. But only play with what you can afford to lose because nowadays (after the pandemic), I'm seeing even the best players getting banned and the best teams losing their near-to-winning matches. IPL games are one best example if you didn't get my point. Wink

If you pay tipsters, then you'd need to increase your betting size to get higher profits to be able to pay him again for the next bet and still be in profit while you pay him out of your wins.
1176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Building A Massive Head And Shoulder Formation! on: October 04, 2020, 08:48:41 PM
How about your own analysis? Will bitcoin continue its upward journey? Is the halving also one of the reasons why bitcoin prices increased? Does the US presidential election affect the price of btc.

BTC's value had a significant impact of halving on it and yeah, halving had always been a major reason for BTC's price rise no matter when, but it gets priced it perfectly any near or after halving. About the presidential election? I guess it won't matter here much but what did impacted the price was the news that Donald Trump was found CoVID-19 positive. He's been a great influencer when it comes to BTC and the news, when started spreading like wildfire, shook the global markets so badly that everything including the international stock markets got a hit once again after the Corona pandemic. And as you know about BTC's marketcap which is peanuts compared to the whole world's big stock names, when Bitmex started doing shady things and people started withdrawing their money from there, it did put a bad impact in crypto markets throwing down many cryptocurrencies including BTC for over 5-35% and some even faced the rage with continuous downforce of over 50%.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you prefer? Live casino games or slots? on: October 04, 2020, 07:48:41 PM
I had already written something about it here.

Well, there is also fraud in sports betting. Especially at the beginning of the year, when Corona really started, there were enough reports that there was fraud in sports betting too.
https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/29206521/gambling-table-tennis-blowing-the-matches-legit

There was even in Germany a big betting scandal in Soccer. That was 2005.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_German_football_match-fixing_scandal

Perhaps it has become more difficult in the meantime. But fraud is everywhere where money is involved.

It is true that sports betting does have frauds involved like odds manipulation by some sites (even reputed ones), odds lock (they don't allow you to place a bet for a few minutes when a live match is going on), and the other side behind the big picture (where players are paid extra money to make their team lose or are bought through anything else like drugs, girls and / or mafia money involvement). I am not saying that the whole sportsbetting area is rigged but yeah, there are some limited frauds that still happen in this genre.

But casinos and slots can only be manipulated by the program that is set inside, so probably no human intervention maybe?
I played some Blackjack games (actually I play this game a lot so I mostly use this as an example) and tbh, I never win much now against my losses and that's because even when you follow all the rules and make your own strategy and go with it, there will come a session where cards will go against you or something else as I don't know why but I have seen just 1 person hitting even when we get a total of 20 or over 17-20 and I truly believe it's a bot who wants to remove the big numbers out of the way for the dealer so to either let the dealer win with more cards (as I have seen them getting a total of 21 or 20 mostly 5-6 times in a row with 3-5 cards that they snatch on the table when we stand). And about slots, I can't really say anything about it because it rolls so quick and I mostly stop the reels on my own to see the outcome and I have also got lucky in some games.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: everything can happen on bitvest on: October 04, 2020, 07:31:22 PM
Why is his balance still 0.000 LTC?

But congrats if its true though. Never in my entire life have I won that much with just so little to risk. I have not played this game actually since I have no idea as well. Its always been the classic dice that I kept playing. I can see that he is always winning as I can see in the image, its like 3/6. Very fortunate hit.

Maybe he withdrew?
@Op, congratulations for your winnings if it was really you who won that bet. I can understand that luck strikes hard sometimes and when we also put the right bet at the right time and at the right place, then that luck hits us a jackpot win. I remember thar i recently placed a bet of just BTC0.00001 and won BTC0.01 which is 1000x (unbelievable but true) and it was on a plinko bet. I couldn't believe my eyes until it arrived in my wallet. Great win, good luck and spend your money wisely dude.
1179  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit biggest scam exchange ever, lying to people by giving fake dollars on: October 04, 2020, 06:35:18 PM
I am sure that in order to fulfill this point of the rules, this airdrop was released. According to this point, it was necessary to download and publish on your TikTok page a video that advertises a virtual miner from Yobit. And I am sure that thanks to such mass advertising, the exchange will achieve the result that it set for itself.

Be very cautious before investing into any of their schemes because the way they have advertised their shit through these fake dollars scheme, I believe they are exhausted in terms of BTC capital and that's why they are charging you in BTC with enormous returns as promised. But who know when the heck will their MINEX token will get rekt and make you go rekt. It's better not to fall for those too good to be true kinda schemes and better keep your BTC safe and / or stake them somewhere else.
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facial Recognition Can Help to Come Out from Bitcoin Social Media Scams on: October 03, 2020, 08:20:52 PM
There are possibilities that even facial recognition can be negatively used upto some extent and when noobs are here just for the sake of money and not interested in gathering some information before throwing their money away into scams, then they are ought to be scammed no matter if this facial recognition is in place or not. The ones who are only interested in turning into a millionaire overnight are those who fall for these scams tbh, else we aren't dogs here who bark, we come here with all the best information for noobs to be saved from getting involved into shit scam projects and non-sense airdrops.
