1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and ETH on their 2 years high on: October 12, 2020, 05:07:40 PM
The last 2 months from the current month have been a correction against the time when this thread was created. But afterwards, it restarted its journey towards a healthy growth and is now at the price which is very near to $11800. This time, I believe that BTC will break above $13k which will flash a bull signal after touching the upper band of Bollinger bands and breaking that area. MACD is already showing good signs of a bullish trend already at weekly charts, I'm still holding for $13k for the confirmation to enter longs.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s next for Libra? on: October 12, 2020, 04:54:07 PM
What? Libra? I thought it was renamed to something we'd call "Novi" according to this CNBC article.
To my knowledge, it has now been made limited to Facebook's known partners to use its infrastructure in building wallet(s) after approval from their authorised personnel.

1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your Worst losing streak at bitcoin dice with 1.5 payout? on: October 12, 2020, 04:26:38 PM
I think you may not really understand gambling at 999dice because maybe the appearance makes users confused but I am sure if you lose that much bitcoin assets when bitcoin is priced more than $ 15k it will make you depressed because it is a very large amount, because I lost only BTC0.1 with different games after that I was more careful when at gambling.

Nothing was confusing for me as I was also a regular dice player at primedice since the days it was spreading its wings into the gambling industry. 999dice was so easy to understand, it was just my bad day or bad luck, whatever you'd call it. And about the loss, I was not so bothered at that time but I shared it here because of the streak that's unforgettable at my end. I mean, can you even think of losing at 1.2x for straight 11 times in a row?
1144  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: October 12, 2020, 04:00:39 PM
Bad for those who filled their bags already with expensive stocks assuming that they will be super rich this year, but the tables turned badly for them. Good for those who were waiting for an opportunity and this pandemic landed that sank even the best performers down to levels that made several investors bankrupt.
Bad for the pre-pandemic Economies, Good for the post-pandemic investors.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your Worst losing streak at bitcoin dice with 1.5 payout? on: October 12, 2020, 02:40:22 PM
My biggest losing streak with 1.5?
Umm, let me tell you guys even worst experience of mine than that. I played dice at 999dice with a 1.2x payout limit set per bet, and the bet I placed was 20 satoshis, quadrupled my bets by clicking x2 2 times after losing in order to win the bets. I didn't stick to the same side, I placed both over/under bets because I was too skeptical that a single side would win continuously. Now, opening the suspense, the number of bets I lost constantly were 11 with a total of ~BTC0.28 lost at that time when the price was near $300-350 per BTC.
1146  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion about newbies on: October 11, 2020, 11:28:58 PM
@OP,
This has been clearly stated in the "Unofficial rules" that I forgot myself for which zasad@ reminded me about the same in a specific thread where a newbie was trying to offer doubling TRX tokens in a few days. Scams cannot be moderated here and so, your appeal is not going to work. It's better for the newbies to read as it is in their favor only and will help them take wise decisions about where to invest and where not to, as warning them is our responsibility but remaining safe is their own.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - The Scam Engine? on: October 11, 2020, 11:05:29 PM
DeFi is not to blame for being in the center of the hype. I still can't understand how the price of YFI could grow to $ 43,000, if the developer himself said about this coin that it has no value. Why did investors pay attention to this token, seeing the prospect of earning tens of thousands of percent in it?

The reason I see in this token (and many other tokens of DeFi category) getting successful in bringing too much money in their projects is the greed of new investors and the intention of initial investors. Those who understood DeFi from the start, knew everything and understood about this newly scamming technology how showing an extreme APY like 3000-10k% could lure a lot of investors and then dupe them like what happened when the crash commenced. This crash was also blamed upon a DeFi project FTT owner who borrowed YFI and UNI and later dumped them against the markets to make himself a lot of money through shorting these pairs against USDT.
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: October 11, 2020, 10:43:38 PM
How anyone who Say Can proof Bitcoin is not ponzi?

There is More proof and evidence that it is ponzi.

I Don't mind If its ponzi but i Don't want to exit too late but not too early so When is best time to exit?

Nobody can predict you the day BTC will end up and so, it also applies to the stocks you purchase online, the metals and commodities you buy. Gold can be $0 any day (take it as an example) because if the demand dies for the same, then it will be worth nothing even if it used to be one of the precious metals some day before. Same is with BTC, its worth completely depends upon how valuable it is in people's lives and the available liquidity to match their demands. So, if you think BTC is a Ponzi scheme, take every single thing that you need in your life to be a Ponzi too. Wink
1149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in the pandemic on: October 11, 2020, 10:35:20 PM
Ofcourse in trading there's a winner and there's a loser we can't break that balance, It's just people should find out what kind of profit-making method is right for them. I know a few people who give up trading and just start hodling over this pandemic scene, They didn't lose hope in cryptocurrency but they choose to change ways in making a profit from it. It's just the timing of the pandemic that makes some traders find other ways because of the need for fiat and the dumps happened during this pandemic.

Even after trading at your best, it's really impossible to know which way the markets will move after a big pandemic like Corona hits your place and there's nothing (like vaccine or injection) available that could save you from it. Nobody knew that this pandemic was coming, else they would have just welcomed the price declines of stocks and crypto with both hands open, while try to collect like beggars in the end. Many traders who traded a lot of coins during and after the pandemic share that they just listened to their instinct but were proven wrong by the time and lost too much.
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a high roller? on: October 11, 2020, 08:33:19 PM
I used to be a high-roller when BTC was worth $500 and I had so many BTC0.1 bets at that time, but nowadays, I'm not. And yeah, I used to bet on sports like basketball and cricket rather than going for slots because slots are extremely risky and I'm not that person who would throw away a lot of money just for the sake of entertainment in the casino's bags. 1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Curacao licensed casinos banning Curacao residents? on: October 11, 2020, 08:23:23 PM
Freebitco.in has been a casino for a long time actually. Have you visited them lately? They offer dice, sports&political betting. How come it is not a casino?

Lately? I don't think so.
Actually, I have been a very "early-time" player on that website but didn't visit them since 2-3 years. Never knew freebitcoin started offering sports and political betting too. I joined them in early 2014 and been there for almost 3 years before BTC spiked too high, but till then, all I saw there was a dice and a lottery to win jackpot except the faucet.

Quote
Having a casino license is a net negative for the owner if it is a crypto only casino.

Exactly, because a license binds the owner of the website with the issuers rules and regulations and if a website is completely crypto-based, there's no need for a license IMHO. All it gives is an assurance (and some sort of insurance too) that the website has $..... worth of sum assured per player.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin transaction fees be too high in the future? on: October 11, 2020, 07:57:08 PM
There are chances for both scenarios when:

Scenario 1 -

Miners and pools decide to decrease the fee levels by setting the minimum fee based on the (upcoming future) price if it goes too high, like if the price of BTC goes 10x some day, they may decide to ease the process and scale BTC at that time by decreasing the minimum sendable fee to 2k sats instead of keeping it high at 10k - 20k sats.

Scenario 2 -

Miners decide not to go for a reduced price for them to confirm the transactions and charge even higher under the effect of greed because you know, most people mine for money. I'm sure that hobbyists don't care a lot about fees but those who are invested a lot into this, do care for the same.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Curacao licensed casinos banning Curacao residents? on: October 11, 2020, 07:40:52 PM
Freebitco.in has no gambling license and If I am not mistaken they don't give a damn about your country of residence. Why are these casinos making this a big thing anyway? At this point getting a casino license from Curaçao creates more problems than what it solves. Don't get a license, don't deal with FIAT, problems solved in the best possible way. (it is free too)

Because freebitcoin is a faucet, not a casino, so it doesn't need a license to run. Casinos need to abide by the policies that are set by the license provided through these specific organizations in order to prove their customers that they are legit and are conducting their casino business in a legal manner. When you say "don't deal with Fiat", do check some websites where fiat is not involved there but still they have this license maybe because (the first reason already mentioned before and) a few games in their casino support Fiat play.
1154  Economy / Gambling / Re: VerveCasino.com - New bitcoin/crypto casino - Free Spins for new members on: October 10, 2020, 09:47:25 PM
Visited your giveaway thread and now waiting for the free spins. Smiley
I also went through your website, it has a classy white background, so neat. But it still lacks one thing - a drop-down menu with a list of providers' names so for us to be able to quickly navigate to such games instead of scrolling that much. Can you also add Evolution Gaming here? Because the providers like ezugi have higher (minimum) bet amounts compared to what I usually risk in a bet. Also, while trying to play some games (especially Sword of Khans) in demo mode, I couldn't set them to full screen. Please do something about the fullscreen matter.

1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 10, 2020, 09:23:16 PM
Signing up on a site against your country says it all it's a crime against the site and if found guilty such customer don't deserve any apology or sort of refund. Bookies are everywhere why risk your money

Trust me or not, most people do it just because their country prohibits them from gambling based on the law and constitution made there and been followed for decades. They just can't gamble because they're helpless here, but if a website doesn't have their country's name, they register there and start gambling without thinking that what they're breaking is their country's law and gambling is illegal at their place.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 10, 2020, 09:03:11 PM
However, lately, I've seen some complaints from user on account getting blocked or funds got frozen because such user belongs to a certain country where listed in the site not allowed to gamble, so I would like to hear your thoughts on how to deal with this kind of possibility that could happen to us since we still gamble despite knowing we are discourage not to.

We need to be careful with these things happening as if users from a specific country are restricted on a gambling website, but that site still allows them making an account there, then there might be some catch behind and the owners of that site may not let you withdraw your money and all your wins in the future after blocking / freezing your account with the reason you gave. It's better to give the ToS a read rather than regretting later on. Next is, if we know that we are from a restricted country or if our own country does not allow us to gamble because it's illegal there, then better either stop it or find some sources like proxies and VPNs to bypass the laws and play freely. The only problem you might face is when these websites may start asking for a KYC.
1158  Economy / Speculation / Re: history loves repeating itself. the only question is when! on: October 10, 2020, 08:24:37 PM
I have noticed that too, but sometimes the FOMO just gets too loud that we fall for them. A famous example was the prediction of a massive raise in price after the halving of the block reward event but that wasn't the case. Although many already bought in anticipation of the event, which is why the post halving surge was more profitable than the immediately market reaction after the halving.

You are right mate, healthy and steady growth of BTC is a lot better if compared to what we saw in old times - big long candles with millions spent to change the momentum of the markets in one go, but times have changed now. And I don't see the to-be-happening pumps as useful to the image of BTC anymore because what BTC has been doing these days, is what we've wanted since the beginning - to get a stable price.
1159  Economy / Speculation / Re: history loves repeating itself. the only question is when! on: October 10, 2020, 07:57:26 PM
I saw in old times that whenever we are extremely positive about the markets that something good is happening, that's when a bad scenario takes place (like if we expect BTC to go higher quickly because of a possible breakout while there are some great news and fundamentals on the table, BTC does exactly opposite by falling hard). It's not the time for BTC to soar like an eagle yet as I think the charts will still paint some stable kinda sticks before a storm strikes in and bangs BTC up towards a new ATH. And TBH, it's not a low supply coin like YFI that was worth shit and now above BTC in terms of price, I see that exchanges have less sell order volumes that needs to be broken to send BTC over $13k which is being looked as a crucial level to break for a healthy bullish sentiment to be back again.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - The Scam Engine? on: October 10, 2020, 07:42:40 PM
Great show TBH, I guess it's all over now for DeFi and feeling pitiful for all those who longed during these days. Some tokens dipped like someone's dipping a French fries into the sauce and the marketcap's sharp decline is unforgettable. There are still some tokens which I believe, can recover greatly like bzrx. Still, be very much conscious when diversifying your portfolio and throwing a piece of your cake in DeFi.
