Maybe i'm mining cents because i want until i understand the pool
You're ignorance makes the admin a thief ? You don't even know how much you'll make in bitcoin with your S3. Stop accusing people for your ignorance and start learning what mining is really is. EDIT: If you're really want to understand how kano's pool work, ask question and read. Did you red the section about the PPNLS ? If you don't understand on the first read, it might be normal. Especially if you're starting with bitcoin and the blockchain technology but be fair, this as nothing to do with kano's been a liar / thief.

So which is it, is he a thief or a liar?
I don't know how much bitcoin he's mining with his fucking S3 but it should be pretty much nothing in a pool of 25P vs 450GH. The decision making is from that point. So how much did he lost, 10 cents ? 25 cents ? That's a hard lesson learned my friend. 25 cents to call someone a liar thief when it's simply a threshold set by the pool's admin. This is completely ridiculous

When i'm mining at kano.is i never know how much I have to receive it's all very confusing. There is no total receivable !
Depending on whether he decides that your worthy of being rewarded for your work or not, there may not ever be a receivable. It's a dictatorship, not an honest pool where all miners are rewarded for their work. He considers himself to be both the judge and the jury. I would love to hear more about the person/persons he is referring to that he has deemed unworthy of payout, and I'd also love to hear when and if he actually sends the guys Bitcoin that he has stolen from to the person he is talking about who he believes was stolen from. My bet is that he keeps it for himself forever and always. Otherwise why not send the stolen fruits now? He has already banned the guy from hashing away "for free" So no more free donations will be coming in. The time is now Kano, you are either Robinhood or you are Smeagle... Which one is it? The only problem you have is you're thinking you're right and some others think you're wrong. Just agree that we don't agree with your logic and move on. No, you have to came back and argue why you're right and you cannot accept the fact that others will not agree with you. I will say this: Whatever luck handling you're doing, it worth jack shit. The luck you have from the previous hash and the new one is the same. It's not because you did 500 Billions hash that the next one will be a block, it's the same as the first hash you did. But yeah, I know you want take it. It's fine, I don't really care. ***** As for Kano, he can moderate his thread as much as he wants. Kano handle quite well his pool and if you think is stealing any bitcoin you're damm wrong. Tubexc apparently read jackshit about the pool before he tries it. If he's confused about the payout, he didn't read about PPNLS ( https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout) Tubexc does't understand that he will only mine cents (in bitcoin) for each block we are finding and sending 2 cents and to pay 1 cent of fees for him it's just stupid. Tubexc should ask question and stop accusing anyone if he doesn't understand what is going on behind what he's doing. EDIT: Even if i don't care to pay the cent to sent him his 2 cents of bitcoin. Kano decided that would a threshold and he's under it. Why is this SOOOO hard to understand ? You don't like ? Try Bitminter ? You can set a threshold of your choice before he does the payment.

You don't see me making any claims on a A6 or A7 or whatever miner. Simply because I never owned one of those models. That's the way it should be. I was not rude or post false claims.
Because I actually asked to others miners/friends, who own way more units then you, make their experience with the product false and irrelevant ? Ho wait, I shouldn't talk about the S9, I don't own one since the S1-S3-S4-S5-S7 are irrelevant while talking about the S9. Yup. As I stated before. Just because I own a ford explorer doesn't mean I know how a ford Mustang performs. Sorry bud I don't know you. Anybody can say I got friend with a bunch of s9's. Therfore it makes it hearsay. And should not be used. Yeah say the guy with 33 posts on this forum. So you"re saying that we should trust no ones here and especially all the shit you're throwing at us. Thanks for clarifying that. EDIT: BOOM I just hit Legendary !

If folks here criticize Bitmain, it is almost always because of their own hard (as in documented) experience with inadequate build QA, apparent lack of burn-in, poor (or in some cases nonexistent) customer communication/support, and a demonstrated record of disrespecting other people's intellectual property. If Bitmain, or their apologists, would like to see that change, all that's needed is to get their act together.
I guess I need to add to the documentation then. 19 s9: no problems at all. 15 s7: no problems at all. (Although I do not own these anymore since they are no longer profitable.) Who knows. I guess I should play the lottery with all this luck. Or maybe I am a mining whisperer. And just will these machines to never to fail. On other thoughts. The more people that bad mouth them and convince other people not to buy. The more miners for me to buy. So please. Forget everything I have said. I am going to go and get more money. it's not because your 19 machines are running fine that the entire number of units produced represent the EXACT PERFECT behavior as yours. 19 units over the thousands produced. Call it luck if you want. Call yourself a god ... whatever It's just plain stupid to ignore all the boards failures and tell us we are stupid to ignore the S9 because your SMALL sample size represent the entire universe failure ratio of the S9. It's just plain irrational. I own S7 and I was "lucky" enough to have no issues at all BUT I also recognize that other S7 running next to mine got failures. When I ask friend owning like 20 times the amount of S9 you have and they are telling me they have around 10% failure. Trust me, I trust those numbers. How hard it is to get that point ? But no, i'm stupid. If the problems were as bad as (some) people claim I would have no doubt found some bad boards. Yeah right 10% failure with an horrible RMA process and a 90 days warranty. that's what a call a great deal buddy. If the problems were as bad as (some) people claim I would have no doubt found some bad boards.
I can only LOL at this really really hard, i'm sorry

...It's just plain stupid to ignore all the boards failures and tell us we are stupid to ignore the S9 because your SMALL sample size represent the entire universe failure ratio of the S9.
It's just plain irrational. ...
Makes me think of the phrase "cognitive dissonance" and something about pots and kettles. English isn't my first language. The point is 19 units is nothing over the thousand units produced and you cannot conclude anything based on that. That's the point. I'm sure you got it but you have to make re-write it just to make looks stupid. ...It's just plain stupid to ignore all the boards failures and tell us we are stupid to ignore the S9 because your SMALL sample size represent the entire universe failure ratio of the S9.
It's just plain irrational. ...
And your friend having 40 issues out of 400 units makes the units bad as a whole? Did you ever went through their RMA process or took the time to read about it ? I'm sure you do... but you needed to ask the question just to make me look foolish again. If you're fine that, it's your problem but it is unacceptable for me. This is where you and I will never agree. You do what the fuck you want with your money but don't try to make us like idiots because YOU think it is right for you.

Con or Kano...if you'd like for me to "take a vacation" from the board, PM me. It's fine. Apparently these guys need the ego boost. I don't.
Dear brother sister, Please just ignore them. It is just an example of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissism

Just a note to anyone who does have miners up in Labrador - since I never had tried to work out exactly where Labrador is Yes indeed point them to nya.kano.is - it will slightly reduce your stales and increase the speed the blocks will be sent out when you find them Edit: that's any of: stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333 stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:80 stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:81 stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:443 stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:8080 Don't forget to have backup pool settings Preferably first to: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 Alright I will try to have them change ! Thanks for the info.

]Hi, my sp20 is not working: when i power it, only the green light turns on , it doesn't work when I go on myminer.io My PSU is a server HP 1200W Power Supply DL580 got them both off HolyBitcoin.com When I boot it up, the orange light flashes 6 times in around 2 secs.
Please Help Me
myminer.io doesn't work anymore so you won't find your miner with it. If it flashes 6 times, it's not good but I think it's not so bad either. I would suggest trying the heat trick and also try to plug something in the console port. Feed the 4 pin in the middle with a phone cable. It has done some magic for me. Hope it helps. Herb

At the risk of sounding like a complete and total rube, do I need to have an S3 or S5 kicking around and put this inside it, or will this work attached to a computer. Please don't throw tomatoes or boo at me. I'd like to mine bitcoins but my knowledge on hardware is basically nil. If someone could do up a guide on what parts would be needed for us rubes out there I may be interested in trying these out The board are manly made to to re-use the heatsink from the S1/S3/S5 and the frame and fans. They are some people talking about about using another frame/case to put more board in one of them. Just read the sidehack thread in the hardware section.

Did you offer your help to help to him ? Ho wait... NO ...
There is a significant difference between my not immediately offering advice, about a device I have never personally used, and CryptoBuddha's douchebaggery; but, please do continue... ...CryptoBuddha, if you require more help to mine with your S5. Sent me your questions in PM. I will do my best to help you....
You might want to reread the thread, CryptoBuddha didn't need help; CryptoBuddha was the one saying anyone that needed help should sell off their device. Bitmain use pretty much the same UI for all his products

If you don't have a clue how to connect a miner after reading everything at http://solo.ckpool.org/ then you'd better try to sell this s5. I love that this community is so open and inviting to newcomers. Did you offer your help to help to him ? Ho wait... NO mr.bitcoinerf11, if you require more help to mine with your S5. Sent me your questions in PM. I will do my best to help you. Herb

All I want is a little program with full R/W access to the hashboard memory and PIC, that can't be too much to ask can it? Unfortunately the tools to do that are all locked up in the single-board-test binary and associated bits with no source code available. Go check the sidehack thread about the S7-LN, I think this is what sidehack do to tweak them. (Not sure)
