Herb Hey Phil, I think you missed my post Thanks !  I am not Phil but from my personal experience, I prefer the 470. The 480 when tweaking or anything, they're very unstable and inconsistent with hashrates. The 470 was easy to configure and stayed stable. I have both 8gb and 4bg, I found no difference in hashrate but resale value would be higher for 8gb but than again, 4gb is cheaper. yeah I agree with you rocky @ Herb I know you are in Canada but this is a good card cheap price in the USA and it is short length https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JM2DF2G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I get 21.9 mh and I like that it is a shorter card. It suits some of my case builds. It would be very good for a six card wood build Thanks guys ! appreciated EDIT: I need to find a deal like that in Canada. |

Remember when they jacked up the S5 price about 20% in one day because they got some inside information on a competitor not coming to market?

Come on BLOCK SIX! btw, pool Hash drop to 37PHHmmm, wonder if there are issues like a few days ago with connections or people have just jumped to another pool. Don't see why anyone would jump now as our luck has been steadily getting better over the last few days. As you said, "COME ON BLOCK SIX! Number Six, Number Six, Number Six, Number Six, Number Six, Number Six, Number Six, Number Six....  (It's actually down in the low 35's real-time, I believe) ~ Seriously don't like that. I want us back at 43-44. Please. Edit: Going back up now. So realistically there is no use watching the hash speed minute to minute. It's when it stays down or continues to fall is when I get concerned. So I'll shut up about that! LOL |

I lost faith in Bitmain ... 90 fays warranty and it's hard to get it.
The S9 has a bad ratio of failure and looks like a bad warranty service.
So I wouldn't risk any money on a R4, especially a complete new design at an overrated price.
ROI is long, one failure = money lost.
Short answer. Absolutely not.
