181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 15, 2024, 09:19:42 PM
You either choose honesty in your relationship, or secrecy and the "I know better" stance. That's your choice.

Personally, I always choose the first one. We share bank accounts, cars, whatever and we talk about everything and make plans together. If your idea for marriage is that you keep your secrets, eventually he's going to find out because you're together all the time. You're going to let it slip somehow and then you're going to regret it because he'll know you were dishonest so you can do it again. It's easy to destroy trust and very hard to rebuild it.
One reason why some couples get separated is due to keeping secrets. I don't think it is a shameful act if we tell our partner about it and it is a part of the relationship to let our partner what we have done. And while we are talking about gambling, it should not be hidden because it already involves money and that should need approval from our partner. It is really a big mistake not to tell it and you're right, that is another form of dishonesty and that would be the start of big trouble and assumptions that there is more that is hidden.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 15, 2024, 01:16:08 PM
The Lakers vs OKC game is quite interesting. It's only 1.5 where the Lakers are a slight favorite.

As per injury report, SGA and Davis are both questionable, but I doubt they'll miss this game, especially the Lakers who badly need a win.
This is a battle of a red hot team vs a struggling team LA.

Their last 10 games record are as follows using the W-L format.

OKC 8-2
LA 3-7

==========

My pick here would be the LA Lakers -1.5. I'm going with a desperate team, hopefully refs will call as many fouls they can so OKC will complain like the Raps.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 15, 2024, 12:17:46 PM
And for a gambler perspective Casimero is a good fighter to challenge Inoue, though it will going to depend from how the promoters will push that possibility to engage into a negotiation against Inoue, but as of this moment there are more fighters who are also willing to challenge Inoue, fighters who also taking their time to have that chance.

It's on Inoue's camp to work out to whoever side they will choose for the next fight for Inoue, we just need to wait for any update and announcement from his camp.

Inoue will be fighting Nery, the number 1 challenger this May.

Naoya Inoue vs Luis Nery reportedly agreed for May in Tokyo

The speculation now is who will be nexst in line, will it be Casimero or another boxer that has a better ranking than him? I know there are a lot of Filipino fans here, we are so bias when it come to our fight, we want Casimero to have a chance to fight Inoue, but as you said, that depends on the promoter.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you can build trust in the crypto community? on: January 15, 2024, 10:03:13 AM
Honestly, with the number of scam projects flooding the market, it was hard for the community to trust new projects because most of the assumptions based on their experience as well, are mostly scams. If you think OP that your project will easily get the trust of the community, that is uncertain unless your team and the project have the following things;
 - use case
 - transparency
 - consistency

But just like others said, trust builds gradually but also it fails when the community never sees any potential in the project.
Be patient, as long as your intention is good and will help the crypto community grow, the time will come.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 15, 2024, 03:42:41 AM
The fun fact is like that. When there are lots of reviews or advertisements or videos about jackpots and big wins from other people, most irrational people will consider and use gambling as a shortcut to getting rich/getting big profits. For rich people or those who have a lot of money, gambling may be fun and it doesn't matter if the money they use decreases because they still have lots of assets to have fun with. This is different from the poor who have been wrong from the start about gambling, so it is normal and this will not just go away and people will continue to appear who think that gambling is a job and a place to make money.
That is a marker strategy and a company makes use of its money to hire influencers to grab attention and make a play of its hype.
It was okay for rich people to fall into this activity but the concern here is for the poor people who usually fall into addiction and compromise their financial stability and sometimes, a reason for loans and crimes.

It was really hard to educate people on how gambling works because they also have different views and they keep insisting that luck will come and that is their money.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Buying More Tickets To Increase Your chances on: January 14, 2024, 01:59:34 PM
That is what I thought before but unfortunately, it doesn't change the result, I was still too unlucky. So I think that no matter how many tickets we buy if we are unlucky, we still never win. In fact, I have heard a story of a jackpot lottery winner, who just only buys one ticket and luckily gets the prize alone.

We have to know that the lottery is a pure luck-based game. Some gamblers had already spent thousands yet they still never win. This simply tells us that it has no huge impact on our chances of winning and those movies show that through calculation we can surely win, that is a big lie, far from what really happens in actual.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to farm airdrops on crypto? on: January 14, 2024, 01:12:43 PM
Some project developers encourage airdrop participants to stake their tokens in order to earn more. That is why they manipulate people and the question is if they are really on aid to fulfill their promise or just to prevent the sudden collapse of the project knowing most scenarios before that when airdrop coins have been released, the drops came next.

And this is not wonder why many people just ignore them because the results are absolutely the same, they'll turn into scams in the end. Because even if the project looks promising but if there is no use case, it still fails.
188  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: January 14, 2024, 07:55:07 AM
In the case of 1xbit, it would be difficult for a newbie to spot their shady Modus operandi, without going though doing their own research, as they are supposed to.

Research is very important, it doesn't take a lot of time to know the reputation of a gambling site. Just open google browser search " 1xbit scam" and information will pop up, the number 1 in the list are coming from bitcointalk, so newbie could read the accusation and would be able to know that they cannot be trusted.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 14, 2024, 07:27:00 AM
I think I'm gonna stick with the ROS, they are playing well and they have a good standing that could make them qualify in the quarter Finals.
On the 2nd game, I'm gonna be betting on the underdog which I'm sure it will be the Phoenix, betting on the handicap here.

This is a non bearing game I guess as a win here by ROS will not give them a twice to beat advantage. So with that, I have the Converge here who are still looking for another win after this losing streak, they only 1 win this season, at least make it 2 before it closes. Thus far, nothing extraordinary is happening, it's still a close contest in the 1st quarter.
190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: January 14, 2024, 02:27:01 AM
There is no class or status defined for trading. Trading is basically a surviving skill. If you excel in it then like any other skill you will make good amount of money. This is my point of view. A small worker who regularly trades with 20% of his daily earnings is making more money than a rich person who is trading daily with huge capital. The money, the bankroll doesn’t matter at all. The skill and the risk management is the one which every trader should learn.
Trading can be to anyone whether you are poor or rich person. The question is if we really have the knowledge, skills, and passion in trading. Honestly, a lot of people start trading only have a small capital, some become successful while some also fail, this is what also happens to rich people. Although the difference is rich people can't badly feel regret if ever they lose their money but I don't think it is reasonable enough to continue when the results are just losing consistently.

In fact, even in investing, it doesn't mean that it is only for rich people but for those who have an interest and market understanding whether you are rich or poor.
191  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Step you have to take before venturing into the market on: January 13, 2024, 03:36:29 PM
I definitely agree.

You will also need some self-discipline in order to execute those things you have mentioned. It might be hard in the beginning but as the days goes by, you'll earn enough experience that will teach you how and when you need to apply each of those. Most of the newbies always think trading as a quick rich scheme, that's why they always in a hurry using a high leverage hoping to make a big profit in a very short period of time, resulting to a very huge loss.
Many things may change once you are in actuality and many plans get ruined because of uncontrollable emotions. As far as self-discipline is concerned, it is a big struggle for beginners and most of them fail. I have no wonder it went through like that because committing mistakes is a part of learning and it helps us improve. But the most important is that we are very certain about our goal and even if we fall many times, we never quit and remain focused on our goal.
as we begin our crypto journey we must have to do these things...
 - don't rush, it should be on step by step
 - focus on learning first, not on earning

192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 13, 2024, 12:46:19 PM
Gambling as a financial solution can be risky, I've considered. The house usually triumphs in this world of stacked odds. My friends have thought they could beat the system and ended up worse off financially. Learning this painful lesson is crucial
or it could only be a solution to few of us. OP says don't treat it as a job, if I'm making a profit in gambling, I would not call it as a job but a business. When  you are in a job, the view in terms of income is very limited, but when you are in business, you will be more aggressive and with limitless income. But let's get real, right? Most of us fail in fuflling our goal to make consistent money in gambling, so if we experience that or part of the many, let's not force the issue, we should still go with our limit.

Gamble to enjoy, not to win. Gamble with what you can afford to lose and remember it's entertainment, I always tell friends. Red flags appear when it stops being fun and becomes necessary. Self-awareness and boundaries are crucial. As crucial as playing is knowing when to stop. Betting should be a hobby, not a last resort. It's still a game, not a risk to life

This is actually wrong, when you gamble, in order to enjoy you need to win. The keyword here is "discipline". yes, you need to be discipline so you'll not lose more than you can afford to lose, but never eliminate the reason why you are gambling, which is to win.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: January 13, 2024, 11:57:23 AM

I tried it multiple times, my highest was 100x but I never won. I am not a steady multibet wager and it only happens several times in a month. This is a risky wager and we need to ensure we are just pursuing these high rewards with small sums of money.

Even x10 is not easy to win though, much more than x100 return. Just calm yourself when gambling, or at least make it a fun bet where you will only risk a small amount of money, pretty small compared to what you could risk on straight bet. With parlay, we all know that our chances of winning is slim, so try to  not make it a serious bet, bet a small amount and just hope you'll hit the luck, but never expect like it's a 50/50 game as that would only make you frustrated.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 13, 2024, 09:37:46 AM
Perhaps, that was part of the market analysis and it is a must just to understand and be aware of where it is now, and possibly in the future. Having the comparison in every year trend, we can easily determine if this is the right time to invest or not, or if I'm going to hold or sell them.

Despite the unpredictable trend of the market at least having those records will simply help us prepare. That will prove how crypto grows from almost nothing to something valuable. Without it, only a few will have the courage to invest but as we can see, it keeps on growing.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: January 12, 2024, 09:57:23 PM
Forget about meme coins especially if there is no support from social media influencers as it only be dead.
Don't overthink that this project will be like Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, or Pepe coin, they are in hype and many people make money for them but it doesn't mean that all meme coins are made for such a thing, many were also dead. In fact, Pepe and Shiba Inu are on the way to dying, though I couldn't say that is really going to happen but a project that has no use case with certainly be going there.

It was your decision but I hope you will listen to us. There are a lot of potential projects that are worth investing, so why choose meme coins?
196  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will be your trading strategy for crypto in 2024? on: January 12, 2024, 09:22:00 PM
I am planning a lot for 2024.  Now I'm do not know whether I will be able to implement all of them.  I will try to identify and correct my own mistakes first.  I will invest a certain amount every day but it is in a small range.  I will not expect much profit.  I will try to be self-confident.  I have a lot of inexperience with the market, I will analyze this further.  I'm thinking of starting to use a trading bot, but I don't know how useful it will be.
Just pick one at a time and see how effective until you find one. But I will tell you that in trading is not necessary we have to use a lot of strategies, we can use one and focus on it. It is not just our strategies that will affect our trades, a lot of factors that cause failure or earning a profit. You can try trading bots but if I were you, just do it by yourself as you can learn a lot from your personal experience rather than relying on bots.

As for me, what I did last year will still be the same strategy I used this year. There might be some changes in the market approach as it depends on the situation but the buying and selling schemes remain, still choosing highly volatile coins.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the end of excitement on: January 12, 2024, 04:08:46 PM

Does that mean the excitement days are over. Has bitcoin become boring in terms of big price fluctuations☹️

You've been in the crypto space for 10 years (or more) but too unfortunate that you are not still convinced about the situation and the potential ATH.
After several years of getting involved with the market crash and hype, you're still in doubt. I was speechless but one thing I would say is that you feel bored because you are in a hurry and are tired of waiting for the bull season which in fact you have experienced and you are doing this in the past.

Of course, there is no excitement to feel once your mind is already closed to positivity. Impatient people can never succeed but failure.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 12, 2024, 10:53:13 AM
Even after Ngannou's showing vs Fury the books line him at 4.20, via KO at 5.60 and vs decision at 16.  I think the latter has a lot of value in it.  Ngannou has the cardio to go all through the end in a boxing match as seen vs Fury.  But the question is how does Joshua take a punch from Ngannou?  Will he be able to stand up and soldier on til the end?  I really have no idea.

We all know Ngannou's chin could take a punch and he could prolly take Joshua's powerrr.  :/
I think the closest that we might see how Joshua can take a power puncher is obviously against his first defeat, Andy Ruiz. But I think Ngannou has more power that Ruiz and with that, if let's say Francis landed the way he landed on Fury, it might be goodnight for Joshua.

So not sure what bookies is putting him as a big underdog in this fight. But I think it's going to be a field day for gamblers who wanted to bet on the underdog. As we all know that Francis is a live dog and that odds is very enticing and it might cost big money on casinos if Francis is going to pull the biggest upset and score a knockout against Joshua in this fight.

That's exactly what will happen. However, I'm pretty sure that Joshua is aware of that outcome, so he will make sure it will not happen. He suffered knockouts in his career, he cannot take it anymore against a much stronger opponent. Joshua here will just likely play Ngannou, he will not goe toe to toe, instead he will use his quickness while trying to score. And with that, I agree that bookies made the right odds for this game, because Ngannou chance here is to hit Joshua with a clean shot that would result to KO.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 12, 2024, 09:12:08 AM
Lakers are probably done this season, they lose big time to the Phoenix Suns who are also struggling, but they are worst than them. Beal had 37 points, this is scary, he is back to his old form, and hopefully the Suns will be consistent in the coming games.

While looking at the Lakers players stats, I feel dissapointed specially the two superstars of the team.

Lebron 10 points and AD 13 points, this is a real struggle, both of them.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your predictions for the state of Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 11, 2024, 09:58:25 PM
Since 2022, the value of Bitcoin has begun to fall. Following that, 2023 was a much worse year; in late 2003, a new version of Bitcoin was released. Furthermore, the market is gradually improving and stabilising. By 2024, we expect a slow recovery from our Bitcoin downturn. In the near future, it will also bring us good news. Things will get better with time. Do you think Bitcoin will be superior by 2024? Please share your thoughts.
Bitcoin has always gained superiority in the crypto market. Maybe we just see it slow growing last year but as expected, recovery never came that fast even before as it takes months or years before it turns back high and bullish again. But this year, we already have filled with some bullish indications of the market, and the surge is even fueled by the ETF approval plus halving. But I don't think this year will reach ATH because as we recall from the previous years it comes almost a year after halving. Of course, it can be wrong knowing the unpredictability of the market but at least, we have our bags filled and ready to sell when it comes.
