1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 02, 2023, 10:50:19 AM

But if he wins, then he has to defend or at least go with the other belt title holder to unify.

I don't think he will move to another division if he wins here. He will certainly defend his title or go for a unification fight against another champion. Inoue will be the barometer of this division, and since he has moved up, the competition may not be as tough as before.

Quote
So hopefully Donaire will win this fight so that we can see him one more time. And the chances are good for him to win as he will be the favorite here.
According to the latest betting odds in the market, he is a heavy favorite. That means he is likely to win, but there's no guarantee.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games plebs like us must play on: February 27, 2023, 01:39:12 PM
it looks better than you can't control yourself at all.
because self-control plans a budget for gambling, it is also one way that is a little difficult for gambling addicts or emotional gamblers. Even though they have planned a budget for gambling, sometimes a gambler doesn't feel accepted when the budget for gambling runs out and in the end emotions arise and make another deposit to catch up on the loss.

so if you can control yourself not to break your budget commitment, that's totally true
Self-control is an important part of responsible gambling, and it's important to stick to your budget. That may be difficult for some, as emotions can get in the way and make it harder to resist the urge to make another deposit.

However, there are strategies and techniques one can use to help you stay within your budget. Setting limits or taking breaks are good ways to ensure that you don't get carried away. You can also set up a separate account for gambling to better track your spending and stay within the budget you set. Lastly, you can also ask for help from friends and family if you feel like you're losing control. With these strategies, one can stay in control and make sure one doesn't overspend.
But this will only happen if you are vocal to your friends and family about the issue and if you could listen to their advice. Because many gamblers have kept their gambling addiction to anyone until such a time they got surprised when they are terribly in big trouble financially. That is why we should never ever break our limitations and tried to keep them tightly because it was hard when we are already in addiction status.
And also, we have to consider people around us as a part of our life to which we can talk them and hear their opinions as well.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 27, 2023, 01:15:52 PM
Yes, let's just wait if we can watch this fight without having to pay huge price, hehehe. Much better if we can used that money to bet and try to get to watch it for free from some streaming services or those who are willing to share it in social media like Facebook.
That's true. I'm sure we can find one, but we have to be prepared for a possible interruption. If it's detected, the streaming will be stopped, and then we can still look for another streamer. I have no idea how much the cost of PPV is, but if it's over $50, then I think it's too high. We can instead use that amount to bet.

Should be higher than that, probably at least $100 because the PPV price of Davis vs Hector Garcia was $74.99.
reference : https://www.billboard.com/culture/product-recommendations/gervonta-davis-vs-louis-garcia-how-to-stream-the-ppv-boxing-match-online-1235195435/

If we really want to enjoy that fight with no interruption, we need to buy PPV, as it will surely give us the experience we want. This might be the only fight between these two if there's no rematch clause, so let's not waste this opportunity if we can afford to pay.

Yes, usually the average or the most that I have seen is $79.99, so probably around this price as well if they want to reach out greater and other fans to buy their tickets. No need to make it $100.00 that will be too expensive and it could backfire on them.

Anyhow, I already said, not interesting on paying that kind of money although this is big hype fight.

But I have eyes on betting here, specially how Ryan Garcia is the underdog in this fight.

I like the kind of trust you have in Ryan Garcia. It seems like he is an underrated fighter. Tank Davis fans are saying that Ryan hasn't fought quality boxers, and it's the first time he will be fighting a real champion. So they expect Ryan to struggle a lot and possibly lose this fight.

odds are very tempting for Garcia.

1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 27, 2023, 12:33:31 PM
The Philippines are down early, as much as 20 points. Hopefully, they can come back and cover the spread. The 3-point shooting of Jordan is the main reason why they had a huge lead early, but I'm sure they cannot keep that up throughout the game. Let's hope the Philippines can make another big comeback. Good luck!

Jordan starting to missed those three point bombs here in the third quarter but they are still in the lead by double digits, 12 points to be exact, just hope that they will trim this down to at least eight points after the end of the third quarter.

I'm betting for the Gilas to score over 90.5 points @1.90 here.

They are down only six points now, and I think Gilas has a chance to win here, but I'm not sure if they will be able to cover the spread. We witnessed a huge third quarter run, so let's see if they can continue it in the fourth quarter. Jordan needs to attack the paint because they are missing their outside shots already.

Damn, Scottie Thompson buckled on the pressure free throws. Cost me my bet and the chance to win the game or at least send the game into overtime. I'm sure Scottie can't sleep tonight thinking of what just have happened but it was just part of the game, just like Racela missed those very important free throws against Korea in the Asian games but can't blame them hehe.

I hope he won't blame himself too hard. I know he might have trouble sleeping because he is a perfectionist, which is why he became an MVP. But it was a mistake, and Thompson is not really a good free throw shooter, so I guess he has to accept the mistake. Overall, it was fun, and I was cheering for the game. I'm happy they were able to come back, but they were not lucky enough.

Malonzo is one of the major reasons, and I don't understand why coach Chot didn't give him more minutes. He is a good defender, can rebound, and can also shoot outside. Maybe there were some lapses on the coaching side.
1125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market on the Rise, But Proceed with Caution! on: February 27, 2023, 05:20:13 AM
The best way to achieve a maximum success  is to have a long-term strategy, cryptocurrency markets can be highly unpredictable in the short-term, so it's important to have a long-term strategy in place. Don't make impulsive decisions based on short-term market fluctuations.
Crypto investment requires lots of patience, anyone who does not possess that will find it difficult to achieve anything in this space. The markets has been very positive the past days even their are different opinions regarding it.

I also think the same, in fact, whenever I go to do some trading, my first advance or my first analysis is to look for the longest trend, it is to go for a period of months, because that way I can see something else or how the trend could be. continue, so according to that, I'm going down in temporality, but as the temporality goes down, things get more difficult because the volatility is much higher, and that's something difficult to see or predict, when we do that kind of analysis. We must take into account many factors, and that sometimes requires reacting very quickly to the most abrupt movements in the market.

This will imply the importance of doing market analysis, as seeing the previous and current performance will likely give us insights into what we do next and make decisions based on it. Regrets will never fall on us if we avoid them because as long as we are investing in the right time (or at least) there is no way we suffer losses but profit. It was not just investing in caution but also investing ONLY potential coins that could really give us profit, not those questionable projects, especially new projects.
1126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: February 26, 2023, 09:50:31 PM
Someone met me and we were had a conversation on trade and he told me that he has used all he has been saving for trading and asked me if he can make something out of it and I asked him if he had any knowledge about it and he said no.

My question is can someone that doesn't have any knowledge about trading and how the system work can he or she trade and be profitable in it? Since at some points it has some compliments bof luck.
After some time of discussion, he has been told that it's just for them to choose on the candles sticks if it's up the they want to choose or the one going up just with this idea can they trade with such an idea.
so I wan to know if it's right for the person to begin trading?
If you will follow the basic rule in trading, beginners should gain sufficient knowledge first before thinking on making profits from trading. Because trading is hard and difficult, so trading without knowledgeable in the first place will only end up into committing mistakes and losses. That is why trading is not advisable for beginners because they will only mess up in trading and waste their money and time knowing they never get the right concept in trading. Although trading is for everybody, but not everyone is expected to find profits and fortune in trading.
Knowledge is a vital thing we need in trading and we should not just simply think that it is easy to skip and do actual trading without this stuff. People who come and do trading like this will certainly fail. It should be kept in our mind that we can lose our money if we are too careless in trading, how much more if we don't even know the basic of it - that is worse than I think. So for newbies, instead of being aggressive to trade, better make aggressive first to know at least the basics in trading as this is the ticket to success.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 26, 2023, 11:52:38 AM
Invest to earn profit...
But that never it simply works like that - earning a profit only becomes possible if we learn how to hold. Holding Bitcoin is just like saving your fiat money. So if we have the reason why we save money, that is also the same reason why we hold Bitcoin. Only in different ways but the purpose is the same.

Unfortunately, not all are doing this and that is because they are also uncertain about holding. In this volatile market, holding is necessary otherwise, you fail in reaching your goal (profit).

1128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best time to buy bitcoin. on: February 26, 2023, 11:17:19 AM
We've been riding through bad markets for so long that it's hard to say with certainty when we'll get through this and come back to good times. The market is in a much better position now than it was a few days ago but the problem is that there is no complete confidence that the bad times are over or will come again Bitcoin being the king of all coins, it is highly predictable that it will bounce back, but when that time will come is not certain.Since Bitcoin is in a fairly stable position right now, I think now is a good time to buy Bitcoin Hence, if it is possible to buy Bitcoin at this period, it will be clear in a few days that a good profit has been made from this. if you can afford to do so and plan to hold them for the long term. Future profits will be good for you.
Investing has no specific time when to buy but it was suggested by most that buying Bitcoin during the market correction or bear season is the best. Yes, we can never pinpoint when this bear and market correction went over and we should never wait for it but rather this advantage of current situation while it was still there.

I don't see the perfect time to buy but what I just did is to accumulate Bitcoin when I have the money. Because investing can be happen anytime, we never lose even buying during the peak season unless we sell them when it dump.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 26, 2023, 09:13:50 AM
The first game will start in 10 minutes, so get ready with your streaming platform, guys, so we can also start betting live. Phoenix is the underdog, but I think they are capable of winning, as Converge even struggled against Blackwater, which is a bad team. Remember that Phoenix has lots of veterans who have been in this situation many times, so I like their maturity over the talent of Converge. Therefore, I'm taking Phoenix to win the game."

As expected, Converge is leading the game by 9 points now. But it's too early to tell if they will win or cover the spread. However, if you are betting on the first-half result, the current situation might favor you. So far, I am seeing a low-scoring game, which implies that both teams are playing good defense.

But I like what @serjent05 says, we still need to be very careful, there will be a lot of clickbait websites out there that might take advantage of this event to install malicious malwares or anything that not only harm our computers, but those who will steal information.
Just to be safe, don't use your device that has a crypto wallet on it. You can never be too careful these days, as scammers and hackers are everywhere. Lack of knowledge might cause us to lose our investments.
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: February 25, 2023, 01:37:20 PM
If you are not sure OP about BNB, I guess you don't need to urge yourselves to think about it. Because if you can do the research and see the potential of this coin, I was certain that you already buy it due to its cheap price. In fact, the majority are already buying and waiting for the bull season where to sell their BNB. They are ready enough but still, you have doubts in your mind and hard to make a decision. If I were you, I'd rather not to choose this project but to look for something that I'd trust the most then we could have a peace of mind.
1132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 25, 2023, 12:54:27 PM
Trading results may vary depending on the market condition. I admit that it was best to trade when the market price is moving up than during the bear season. I'm not a pro-trader who still earns a profit in any condition/season but I still believe that even if they already have a long experience in trading, they know that there are times earning a profit is hard.

I'd see that the best season to start trading is during the bull market...I could really remember when entering the market last 2016 when the price rallies had started and yes, trading is seems profitable at that time. And it turns out difficult when the bull season over and the market to bearish. Such experience could give me some ideas when is the best time for trading.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 25, 2023, 11:14:09 AM
Westbrook though, he got a pretty decent stats in the game today even if he's still adjusting to the team. He got 17 points with a 53.8% FG and 1/4 3PA which is 25% beyond the arc. Like as expected, he's just there to open up a spot for the main guys but he's not really restricted to shoot the ball whenever he got an opening.

Overall, he did a great job. The problem with the Clippers is their defense. Imagine, they allowed the Kings to score 176 points in double overtime. I mean, if there was good defense, no way a team would reach even 150 points in two overtimes. I guess they need to carefully look at their defense as that has been their problem so far, in my opinion.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 25, 2023, 10:38:04 AM
If Blackwater wins this game, it will be a huge upset. I never thought it would be a close game, but it's happening now. I'm enjoying it because both teams are playing hard, but NorthPort is currently ahead. Murphy a 2 point shot, plus a foul, I think Northport will take this game.
1135  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do if bitcoin crash? on: February 24, 2023, 09:56:13 PM
If bitcoin crash today, what will be your fate? Poor or rich. Most people on the platform have submitted all their life savings to bitcoin investment. There was once a man in my area who sold his house to invest in a local platform called BARAZAR in 4 months missive the so-called BARAZAR was shoot down and now he does not have a cottage. So I ask again if bitcoin crashed today what will be your description rich or poor?
That person has a fate in Bitcoin. He believes that investing in Bitcoin gives him more profit rather than running a business but such kind of decision is not a smart decision for me ( and could be the others). I'd see a huge sacrifice on his part, he actually can afford to lose a huge amount but we're not sure as well if this is the only business he had or if there is another owned business that is why he is not afraid to sell them for the sake of Bitcoin investment.

If Bitcoin will crash today? Then many will lose their money...but no regrets because I was already prepared for such a thing if ever it happens.

1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have bitcoin, what do you guys recommend I buy as well on: February 24, 2023, 01:10:41 PM
I have a good amount of btc that I'm very pleased with. I love btc. Are there any other coins you guys could recommend I buy next? (none of your comments count as financial advice)
ETH and BNB, are more potential next to Bitcoin.
60% for Bitcoin and 40% for mixed altcoins - that seems an ideal investment sharing. Yes, it was indeed great to not just focus on Bitcoin alone but also spread to some altcoins because for some instances that altcoins are even more profitable compared to Bitcoin especially when you are too lucky in investing hypes project but never I suggest this to you due to it was too risky.
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 24, 2023, 11:49:48 AM
San Antonio vs Dallas -13.5
I haven't seen Dallas win a game yet with Kyrie and Luka playing together, so I might as well still bet against them. I'm taking the other side and placing a bigger bet compared to my bet on the moneyline.
It would have been a bad idea if you had bet against Dallas, because not only did they finally win, but they also covered the spread.
Yes, it was a mistake, but that's gambling. You cannot win all the time or be guaranteed a win. I thought the struggle would continue, but I was wrong, LOL. So maybe next time I'll bet on this team and be confident that they will cover the spread and win.

GSW vs LA Lakers -5.5
Portland vs Sacramento -5

I'll go with the underdogs, as both Portland and the Warriors are decent teams. Just because they will be playing on the road, it doesn't mean they'll lose. These teams know how to win, so I think they are undervalued in this matchup.

It's the same in this game; the underdog lost and it wasn't even a close game. I think many of us here were attracted to the underdogs since these games might determine who qualifies for the playoffs.

Yes, I got tempted with this one too, but like I said, you can't guarantee a win. So, I'll just consider this like a normal day; you win some and you lose some. But this will be temporary because tomorrow I'll be bouncing back.

Tomorrow, I will be backing the Warriors to win by more than 10 points. They are back at home, so I think they will win.
1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 24, 2023, 11:01:27 AM
The promotion I think wanted to see him up there in the ring and defend the title while the best in this division but it's still risky when he is challenged by a younger contender. This match makes sports betting more like guessing.

The fact that Donaire is still on the top ranking even at his current age, that's the reason why he is still getting good opportunities like this.

Regardless if the promoters wanted to see him in the ring or not, he is really bound to have a mandatory fight.

He's not being challenged though by young boxers but just doing the task he was assigned for.

Correct, he was able to still maintain hist status because of the high level of fights he got and the results, all of them are either TKO/KO except Inoue. So then the promoters likes Donaire for being that, representing their organization as a  champion and that's why he is given another chance again for the WBC bantamweight.

And Donaire is not taking this fight lightly maybe just because the boxer that he is going to face is way below in the top 5 of the ranking. He is still going to be a threat to matter what but Donaire will be ready.

No boxer would take a fight lightly, especially if it's a championship fight. Donaire understands that it's a must-win for him to continue pursuing his dreams. A loss here would lessen his opportunities to gain more fights, but a win here would open up more opportunities for him. I just hope that he will not go up and chase Inoue because it's not a favorable matchup for him.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best practices to prevent hackers from stealing our crypto assets on: February 23, 2023, 09:48:36 PM
There is only one thing I could add OP,
 - only use your personal computer when accessing your wallet.

Because it can also be a reason why we got hacked when that computer is also infected with viruses and malware installed. Though I have no experience yet as I was anticipating such a thing, a friend of mine got that kind of experience when using the internet cafe. His transactions went successfully but when he access it the following day, he find out that it was empty already and notice some unpermitted transactions.

To trade without knowledge is not a good idea but this never stops them from deciding it as long as they also wanted to do it. But what went wrong with your friend is that he take all his savings into trading, a wrong move from a newbie who never had an experience in trading. I would say that you need to stop him and educate him first. He needs to know the consequences of his situation because in this case, I see that your friend is too confident that he can make it all good without minding the risk. Yet, he should consider that since he is a newbie and besides, he don't have knowledge in trading.
