1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 06, 2023, 01:29:14 PM
The return of Steph Curry didn't end with a happy ending. It seems like they are catching up on their rotation. Klay Thompson's performance is almost the same as what he always did but it's Jordan Poole who I think is changing whenever Steph is back. This should not happen. Consistency must be preserved.
Then, Jonathan Kuminga played only 13 minutes which again is surprising after he played 32 minutes against the Pelicans and scored 19 points. The big reason why they won that game.
17 games left, they need to fix this issue or else they will be in the play-in tournament before they realize it.  Cheesy There is not much of a gap between the 5th to the 8th seed.

Just like the last time he returned, but eventually, he was able to make the right adjustments and led the team. In that game, Poole wasn't very productive, and I'm sure he was also affected by the return of Curry. However, they are a good team already, so they'll fix this soon. Anyway, let's talk about the Clippers. I thought their losing streak would continue when Memphis had a huge third quarter, but good thing they were still able to come back and win the game. It's WB's first win since he got traded.
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 06, 2023, 11:53:11 AM
Two years ago my best friend had saved $5000

He earned around $9000 in a year with gambling.

Last year he lost $12000 with gambling.

Now he is in debt!

I think you know what I am saying...
I can relate to this because of a story from one of my friends.  He is actually working hard and performing so well on his job while he is not involved in gambling. Unfortunately, he got changed when got addicted to gambling and the sad thing is that he tried to use the money from his company just to sustain his gambling life.

Might some gamblers do gambling and make this as a source of income (perhaps they are too lucky) but the majority make their life hard and are full of debt.
1103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins? on: March 06, 2023, 09:34:25 AM
...
Are they asking because they know there are special skills in altcoin analyses or some people are good at picking g g the right coin to invest in?
Perhaps you are right. Some people/investors are good at picking and market analysis, and some of them are spending more time in the market and checking new projects' progress. And asking for their opinion is a big help for newbies to decide what to invest in and lighten up. Like if you are a newbie, not actually necessary but I think it was more advisable to do this just to avoid investing in a wrong /scam project. But yes, we also have to do our own research, not just rely on their opinion.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: March 05, 2023, 01:26:07 PM
Banning is never a new thing for us. So if ever if bitcoin will be totally banned all over the world, then maybe we should start seeing bitcoin shutting down and leaving us with no choice but to accept it. That’s why we should always invest only with our spare money that is not intended to pay our mortgage or any bills, so that once it’s gone, we will never be totally frustrated in the end. And we should never rely on bitcoin as our main source of living, make it as a side hustle and get a real job.

I can hardly imagine how bitcoin can be banned all over the world. Most existing prohibits are based on natural and historical base: not to kill, not to steal, etc. Banning some exact financial system is not something natural so it will hardly be an aim for every country. So we talk mostly about ban in some big economies which can impact on bitcoin adoption and rates. And how can impact bitcoin ban in our countries on us. And as majority in the topic I can only agree that strict ban will make lots of problems even if it is only in my country.
In fact, as we can see that those who ban Bitcoin before have already changed their mind and had embraced this new technology now. In the current market standing, I didn't expect a ban but rather expected strict regulations imposed by most countries. It was to see that accepting or legalizing Bitcoin is a great avenue to huge opportunities for all of us. Might not be appreciated much today but definitely be in the future.
That "what if" is nothing today, it only pulling us down and can't move forward on our journey.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: March 05, 2023, 12:37:38 PM

Some people do not agree with the scorecards, as it seems like the gap is very big. Too bad for Magsayo, as he got deducted twice for score violations, but overall, his performance was not convincing, and Figueroa deserves to win. Magsayo needs to train more and probably change his boxing style, as his career is slowly going down.

He didn't work hard in this comeback fight and he just loses that easily, too much confidence in his skills and he didn't practice some more to surprise his opponent. That's just how the game is, some will win and some will lose and obviously Figueroa had known his boxing style that's why he can't be much effective against him. Well, chances are few in the boxing fight, with a straight loss like this one, I wonder if they still gonna give him chance to get a good fight such as this one next time.

I don't think Magsayo didn't practice; that would discount the success of Figueroa. Let's just say that Figueroa's talent is better than Magsayo's, and that's the reason why he won the fight. Magsayo is not on the level of the champion now, and the two losses he had resulted in him being an ordinary boxer again. Let's not force the issue; Magsayo lost, and that's it.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 05, 2023, 12:08:09 PM
Meanwhile, the Gin Kings and Converge are playing now. I'm sure Converge will play harder, as they are in a two-game losing streak already. Let's see how this game goes. It's a tight ball game so far and everyone is enjoying the action.

I'm expecting a close game, but it seems like their import is having a problem. He hasn't played a lot in this game and has only made a limited contribution. Franklin is supposed to score double digits already if he is healthy, but after the first half, he has only scored two points. I hope he will come back in the second half and help his team compete with the Gin Kings.
1107  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: March 05, 2023, 09:17:44 AM

Statistically, 95% of entrepreneurs have a bachelor's degree or higher and I wonder, for those of you who are involved in entrepreneurship, how useful was higher education for you?
This number doesn't mean that after they graduated they become an entrepreneur directly. Might be some but the majority had already worked hard in huge/known companies while building their confidence and experience which can be useful in their future plan like running their own business. Because in reality, being an entrepreneur has not been totally discussed in school and these entrepreneurs just got an idea from what they have experienced and applied it to their business.
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need Suggestions About Investment in new projects on: March 04, 2023, 09:35:37 PM
Hello everyone, I want to ask that investing in new projects has worth or not because to many scams projects now a days and i am afraid of losing money.
I wanna invest in quizbox.finance and this project looks really amazing and unique. what you guys think about this.
I need suggestions,

Website: https://quizbox.finance/

Don't get enticed by their promising look and words from the owner of any projects but tried to know deeper just to see the real thing about the project.
You are right, most of these new projects are scams and it is possible that #QUIZ is one of those projects. We are not sure this time but I was having a doubt about this project and felt the huge risk of investing in this.

I'd suggest you to better consider those projects that already have a working product just to assure that it was not a scam rather than spending some amount on something new that is prone to scams. Many AI projects had come out and so we must be careful when choosing them.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 04, 2023, 01:55:07 PM
The Brooklyn Nets finally defeats the Celtics in the NBA after 10 consecutive loss in this fixture, without KD, Kyrie, James Harden or even Ben Simmons, from being down by 28 points in the game, It's freaking surreal!
I confess that I was surprised by this defeat by Boston.
The Celtics were performing very well, but even so, the Nets managed to reduce that point difference and win the match.

A game that I was extremely bad, was Lakers x Timberwolves, with a possible return of AD and another KAT game would be absent, I imagined that the chance of the Lakers win was greater, well... this was another game that I was terrible in my bets lol

Despite scoring 38 points, Davis was unable to carry his team to victory. The Lakers really need LeBron; although they have won some games without him, their playoff chances might be at risk without consistency. It was a home game, so they were supposed to win with their home advantage, but they lacked energy, the ball movement seemed lost, and they relied too much on their big man AD."
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 04, 2023, 01:24:39 PM
What an ugly game between the Clippers and the Kings, Sacramento took a double digit lead by the Clippers comes back and take a 1 point lead. Then Sabonis sinking FT to take back and then Paul George missing the 3 in the last seconds that could have give them the W.

So still winless for the Clippers since acquiring Westbrook although he had a good game again as a Clipper and he was dare to shoot a 3 and made 1.

Clippers now down to 8th spot, as the Wolves won over the Lakers tonight, surpassing them.

I was cheering for Sacramento Kings in this game. I was a bit nervous when Paul George became hot in the remaining last minute of the game. Luckily, he was not able to convert his last shot that would have ended the Clippers' losing streak. Westbrook performed well although his lack of 3-point shooting ability will cost part of their offense. 16 more games for the Clippers before the end of the regular season. This is probably the best time to bet during the regular games, especially on the remaining teams that are fighting for their playoff spots.

And now the Kings are on a 5-win streak and are getting near to 2nd seeded Memphis Grizzlies.

The Kings are such a surprise, but they are not a championship team yet. Their defense is not that impressive, but I'm happy that they will be in the playoffs so they can experience playing with teams that have been consistent in the playoffs. For a young team, getting a home court advantage is a good thing as they lack experience.

In my opinion, PG should go for a drive instead of a 3-point shot. Maybe he'll get fouled, and since it's just a one-point game, there's no need for a 3-point shot.
1111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: March 04, 2023, 12:11:41 PM
Yeah bitcoin users trusted bitcoin when are interested of using bitcoin you know Bitcoin and you will trust it.begginers or somebody that don't even know bitcoin can never ever trust Bitcoin no matter how explain Bitcoin for them because they know how valuable Bitcoin is so they will not trust Bitcoin but Bitcoin users always know the value Bitcoin so we always trust Bitcoin and one l know about Bitcoin is no body can rule Bitcoin or command Bitcoin so we'll be trusted.
Some beginners or some people who don't know about Bitcoin sometimes also have different thoughts about Bitcoin. The first thought is that those who don't know Bitcoin will still not want to find out what Bitcoin is so they will still maintain their own ideas by not wanting to know more about Bitcoin. Meanwhile, some other people will continue to find out about Bitcoin after hearing about it through other people or after reading it through internet media and this is a better thought than those who don't want to know about Bitcoin.
This actually happens when the market is full of market speculations, we never know exactly who is telling the truth and who is not. That is why we don't just rely on the information we get from a single site but rather search more in order to get what we wanted to know. But most of all, we need to experience real investment in order to verify what we read on the internet. More sources of information can actually be confusing and cause worries but this is not an excuse if we wanted to learn. Yes, we need to try and let the trust develop once we fully understand how the market works.
1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all these crypto-twitter "influencers" are still exist? on: March 04, 2023, 11:27:00 AM

You do not have to pay an influencer to give you good deals neither, you just have to follow them, and if enough people follow them, then we are going to end up seeing a good amount of offers thrown at them by projects. I have talked with plenty, they charge anything between 400 dollars to 2000 dollars, of course there are bigger ones as well but that is what I learned, and they had like 20-25 tweets like that, which means they made anywhere between 8k to 40k that month, insane amount of money to make.
it is a huge money and a great offer which could really urge them to accept and make a deal promoting their platform even though they know it was a scam. Very unfortunate but this kind of scheme has been spreading across the market and I couldn't think this will be stopped easily. With their influence and a great number of social media followers, this could really make a huge impact on the project that they have promoted and enough for the company to make money by using these influencers to attract investors.
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: March 03, 2023, 09:17:11 PM
You also have that point there OP but project developers use to pay their native tokens because it was a sort of market exposure. They work to list their project tokens to any exchanges just to have them available in the market and make their project alive and tradable. Unfortunately, hunters are also a big factor why losing the value of their tokens after being listed usually, these hunters dump their tokens at cheaper prices without thinking about what would happen to the company that pays them. It is a very wrong practice by most bounty hunters which I see till now.

1114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I dont like predicting btc price or moves but here is what i think i see on: March 03, 2023, 12:55:29 PM
...I know many professionals traders who are not members of this forum, if they sign up tomorrow, their ranking on this forum is gonna start out as a brand new...

Name the reason why a professional trader will register on this forum. Or do you think that such a professional trader will register on the forum to share his experience and give recommendations here? I am sure that all traders know about this forum, but since they have not registered here before, it means they do not need it.
They'd rather keep silent than share their ideas with people who already have a different opinion and their way of trading. Because it was not good to argue who is best or what strategies are really effective as in the end, it only lies in the hand of the trader itself, not the others. If someone gives trading advice, I don't really think it works for them. Not really sure but most successful traders are too humble and they are still learning rather than giving advice to others. They only just come out when proven themselves that they are good and expert in this field enough to educate newbies and those who wanted to learn.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 03, 2023, 09:03:31 AM
First duo in Mavericks history to score 40+ points in a single game. Well, as expected from both superstars who can explode at anytime they wanted it.

Luka got a double-double 42 points and 12 assists while Irving got 40 points and 6 assists as well. TBH, I thought that they will choke again because the Sixers got a good start in the 4th quarter putting down the lead of the Mavericks to as low as 6 points, but those 2 timeouts by Coach Jason Kidd made the difference and made sure that it  will not happen again and from that on, they put the lead into double digits again and never looked back.

Honestly, although they beat a good team in the 76ers, I still don't feel confident betting on them as I find them very inconsistent. Maybe I'm waiting to witness a good winning streak before I'm finally convinced that they are playing with the right chemistry. Irving is quite new to the team, and although he may be a superstar, there will still be more adjustments to be made in order to win.

Dallas is not in a safe position, which is why winning every game is very important due to tough competition, and this is a good start for them since beating the 76ers is not easy, as they are one of the toughest teams in the East.

Aside from the chemistry, it's imperative that Irving stays healthy, as the team is already built around the two superstars, and they would not perform well in the playoffs without him.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: March 03, 2023, 08:26:31 AM

Nah, smart money should be on Shakur Stevenson and not on Yoshino. For me even with that huge odds for him, I wouldn't take that bite, just saying. Shakur will be too good for Yoshino in this fight. This is the Japanese first fight out of his native home country, and so there will be adjustment because this is a big stage and he might not take the limelight. As for what will be the good bet for Shakur, we will have to wait and see then. No value for ML, but if there are more options, then obviously we are going to bet on that with a higher odds.

I agree with you. No one will bet on this underdog since he is not even popular. Betting on Shakur does not necessarily mean you'll take the moneyline. There are other betting options, such as betting on the specific round Yoshino will be knocked out, or the range of rounds, which typically groups every three rounds. If you want higher odds, then bet on Shakur to win via KO. Based on his previous fights, he is not really a KO artist.
1117  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 02, 2023, 09:48:38 PM

So what do you guys think?  Up above 25k USD by end of March or still below it?

The market has not yet performed so well last month but at least it beat the $20k and was able to keep the strength.
I'd still not thinking this March will give us a surprising trend but probably be the same as February - it grow slowly. Well, I hope we can reach $30k before the end of 1st quarter this year and I consider it a great development of the market. Because we don't need to have a fast recovery but what we need is consistency as we still reach the $50k, $60, and more in the coming days...
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge really go to the moon? on: March 02, 2023, 09:22:34 PM
Well, it was time to stop thinking about it OP. Even Elon still supports Dogecoin but it won't make it happen again as he did before.
I admit that Elon Musk has had a huge influence on the crypto market before, especially for Doge but things have changed now when people think about the risk when investing in hype projects. Maybe the price of Dogecoin will pump during the bull season but not like before when it is totally hyping and it shocks the entire market.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 02, 2023, 11:40:03 AM
^^ Yes, that's what the rematch says, it's up to Davis to activate it within 30 days after their initial fight. So all rematch is still on his hands, and obviously a win by him we, will not see any rematch as all.

As for the date, crypto sport bookies can just adjust it, at least their handicappers are again on point on putting Davis as the favorite in this fight. Even though both are undefeated and 0 loss, they think that Davis will have the advantage base on his resume alone.

Therefore, Ryan Garcia needs to win this fight if he wants to have that rematch. A win here will make him the favorite in a rematch, and it should not be a problem for him, especially if he wins in a convincing manner. Ryan Garcia is surely looking for a big break in his career, and that will only happen if he beats a real champion, which will be in front of him come fight night.
1120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 02, 2023, 10:50:19 AM

But if he wins, then he has to defend or at least go with the other belt title holder to unify.

I don't think he will move to another division if he wins here. He will certainly defend his title or go for a unification fight against another champion. Inoue will be the barometer of this division, and since he has moved up, the competition may not be as tough as before.

Quote
So hopefully Donaire will win this fight so that we can see him one more time. And the chances are good for him to win as he will be the favorite here.
According to the latest betting odds in the market, he is a heavy favorite. That means he is likely to win, but there's no guarantee.
