181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another insane win!! $ 1B mega million jackpot on: January 28, 2021, 01:43:11 PM
That is a huge win, however I think it is understandable that he has not come forward, after all that is a lot of money and he could become the victim of criminals and scammers so he is probably worried about it, where I live you can send your legal representative to get the prize money for you, the lottery will know your name and who you are but your identity will be protected from public scrutiny, so I do not know if the winner can do this to avoid all the attention of the media.
I wouldn't send someone to represent that amount for me. I'll take the amount and get to visit personally since it's huge money that's you're about to claim. Although it's possible to have a representative we're talking about huge money in here and you don't trust anyone with that amount.

I think if I will be winning that huge amount I will be bringing some of the people I really trust like my mother or my father. I will not be taking that huge amount without anyone with me. I don't know if they will be giving that prize in cash but all I know is that it will be given in cheque and other processes would also occur which I think I needed a hand from my family.
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin's price drop to 30K healthy? on: January 28, 2021, 01:35:55 PM
I think it is still safe and it is a correction to be able to Bitcoin in a higher position. We know that in 2020 bitcoin could be under $ 10k but the reality is that now bitcoin can go higher than $ 20k which is a staggering 100% increase for bitcoin. so why worry if bitcoin is under $ 30k once again I say it's just a correction

Well, for me it is also a correction. The price right now is staying at $31K and I think it would go lower but I don't think it would be staying there for a long time. I think there will be a lot of investors that would take advantage of that low price to buy again. After that, we will be continuing the journey up to $50K or maybe higher.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: January 27, 2021, 12:26:31 PM
Now that bitcoin attracted more and more investors including billionaires, millionaires nd big companies like paypal, I think the price of bitcoin will continue to increase and it's not temporary, but of course we should always be ready for anytime price corrections.

Well, we should be. Let's take that as a breather and it happens every time the price makes these kinds of pumps. The price is going back and forth at $30K and $33K and we are seeing the price getting unpredictable again. I don't know if we will be hitting the price at $20K but I don't think it will last there considering the number of investors lately.

Even if price falls to $20k, it'll bounce back up. To a minimum of $65k by eoy.

We will look at that maybe this week or the next as the price is closing down to $29K. The price is slowly losing its strength but that doesn't mean that it will not be doing its climbs every now and then. The price is more volatile than in the past and I think it might hit above $25K this upcoming week and just go back to its above $30K price mark.
184  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of Bitcoin will remain stable at this price? on: January 24, 2021, 04:24:14 PM
A lot of possibilities since the market is unpredictable to start with. The price is staying inside $30K and even if it falls below $30K, I think it will still just go back to what we have right now, it will just go back to $30K and it might go higher than the new ATH that we have this year. $50K now is the new goal and I think it is so close.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be too happy on: January 24, 2021, 03:42:26 PM
This is a common thing as the more BTC will get fame the higher the buyer/investors will be and those who invested more will get more profit.

Obviously, that would be the case. The early adopters would be getting higher profits when it comes to investing. But that doesn't mean that if they get it, they will be having a profit. It will still depend on how you will be working your funds out, it is not always how early you invested it is how you are moving in that certain market.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another insane win!! $ 1B mega million jackpot on: January 24, 2021, 03:38:36 PM
That is insane! Even though it is reduced to over half a billion, that is still a massive amount. I don't know how will the family of that individual will do with that money but I really hope they could manage it well. That is a huge amount and they could really make their lives comfortable I think until they wanted to. Best if they could start a business maybe.
187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: January 24, 2021, 12:46:38 PM
That is just horrible. I mean that would take a lot of luck just to win that huge amount of prize. It is just like they ran out of luck the time that they won the lottery. I think people should really be careful and should also look after themselves when betting in these lotteries. It makes me sad how people are so desperate to win and then this happens.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 24, 2021, 11:43:20 AM
If that is the case I don't know how did they got the money to use in that gambling site and as far as I know, the OP said that it is just inviting to some children and not actually, I hope, played by them. Even though we control and supervise our children, it will be really hard if we can't filter these kinds of things to their Social media news feeds.
We never know how they get the money or use the money from what we gave them. Some parents give the money to them weekly or monthly, and we don't know what they will use with that money. My friend, who has two children that grown-up tells me to control and supervises their children now become hard compare to his childhood.

I do understand the fact that there are a lot of parents that have credit or ATM cards that if sometimes left unattended might be used by their children. Even though they've seen these advertisements, I don't' think they can do anything about it since they can't bet on it. I know it is still dangerous but I guess it would not be the same situation with every children.

190  Economy / Economics / Re: What profit has brought you to bitcoin? on: January 23, 2021, 10:52:44 PM
I knew bitcoin since 2016 and it started a slow start as don't have much knowledge about and I am curios about on how to earn free on it that's why I ended up on doing free faucets and paid to click sites wherein I earned my first bitcoin on it. That was a happy experienced on my first earnings and of course I sold it few times and If I still hold this until now I have lots of bitcoin now.
just like you that the average people start by following the faucet where they can get it for free, in 2016 when I got to know him many people could easily get bitcoin, now the free way is mostly a scam. and the results from the faucet in my opinion are not worth it. More knowledge in 2017 when bitcoin exploded I started practicing trading to be able to maximize getting bitcoin by trading, my passion for crypto made me want to continue to learn and follow the development of cryptocurrency

Faucets are the main go-to in the past as it is one of the easiest ways to gain bitcoin. Most of them are scams and a waste of time but that leads me to signature campaigns and bounty hunting. After that, some of the earnings I got, I invested in some popular crypto currencies like Ethereum and obviously bitcoin that I already sold last year. It may sound easy but it is really hard.
I believe that only buying Bitcoin or earning Bitcoin from your activities can bring you a good income. But Faucet has never been a source of income, because even with the current prices for Bitcoin, the user gets ridiculous money. If a person uses taps for a month, he will be able to collect several thousand satoshi, and then only under better conditions.

That is so true, especially these days where you can just get a few shillings out of it that is not even worth our time. Unless you are someone that is already a part of the community and visiting a few faucets where they can get 1-5 bitcoins then that is something else. AFAIK, there are those faucets in the past where you can get those amounts.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Gold after Zombie Apocalypse on: January 23, 2021, 10:36:32 PM
I agree that I don't think we really need to worry about bitcoin and gold at that point. Those times where assets are not metals, bonds, or crypto currencies, it is food and other essential needs. Although metals might be needed things that needed to survive are more important and I think bitcoin at that time is history and gold is just a piece of an electronic.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be too happy on: January 23, 2021, 08:22:09 PM
That doesn't mean anything since there are already a lot of individual that owns a lot of bitcoins than those companies. It shouldn't matter as there are a lot of hands out there that holds bitcoin and can make an effect in the market. They are not the only one taking a profit, a lot of people does. If the price falls then a lot of people would be having new chances to reinvest.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 23, 2021, 08:15:28 PM
Based on the article, I can conclude that their goal is mostly because of the spreading virus although they have a sub committee for the long term which means they are also doing it for the sake of this people and maybe the government. I think it would be hard for them to identify these places as people would side with the gamblers than the one under the law.

Here in our country, when the police comes to illegal gambling dens, some people even hide those people so they will not be caught.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 23, 2021, 03:00:48 PM
Why not women? I don't understand why it would be unlawful or unethical to target women too?
Ladies aren't children, they're free to gamble if they want to, in most of countries of the world.

For honest, he is right. The same as most gamers even now are men, overwhelming amount of gamblers are men. So there is  some sense in his words. But in gambling, many commercial are "gender neutral" and it trying to exploit success terms, like "you will be rich" and so on, to hit more audience (compared to ad where is shown nude girls)
Yes, and maybe that's why casinos want to reach more ladies now and targeting more specifically them. I just don't understand why they couldn't do that, why it wouldn't be ok to target them?
I think its just robelneo's point of view. as for me I don't see anything wrong gambling ads targeting women. but the problem with this ad and why other are being too negative about it is that the ad seems to be too cute that it could only not attract women of legal age but children too especially if the ad is being shown on social media like Facebook(according to plvbob0070) where a lot of young children and teenager girls are active.
You got the point. Yes, the women and children can get attracted to visiting the gambling games website because of the ads. They think that the ads are funny, and they curious to know what it is, so they click on the image or link and redirect to the gambling site. After they at on the site, they curious about how to play the game, and once they know, they will try to play it. Perhaps they will not play too long, but they will be back on the other day because the game is very attractive, making them curious to play more. Social media needs to have control, but it seems the adult people don't give much concern about that, so they don't pay attention. We need to always care for our children because we don't want to see our children playing gambling at their ages.

If that is the case I don't know how did they got the money to use in that gambling site and as far as I know, the OP said that it is just inviting to some children and not actually, I hope, played by them. Even though we control and supervise our children, it will be really hard if we can't filter these kinds of things to their Social media news feeds.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 23, 2021, 02:18:47 PM
Since bitcoins rose above 35,000 USD I am not sure if I should still be taking my signature earnings for gambling. Bitcoins became so valuable over the last few weeks that it might be better to just hold them for now. For my last deposit into my poker account I used fiat currency. So for I will just keep my coins in the wallet and use any access cash I have from my regular salary.

That is the best solution including not betting in the meantime. At first, I thought that a price increase would not affect my bets but as the price rose, I bet more and thought that as the price is still increasing I'll try my luck to earn more but that ends up at my loss. It is not that much but still, it could be an amount I could use to gamble now.

197  Economy / Economics / Re: The sale of the COVID-19 vaccine on the dark web continues. on: January 23, 2021, 01:22:53 PM
I feel very lucky because the country in which I live the government is doing everything to ensure the health of its people and I am on the same side. I haven't seen this very common where I live, maybe illegal activities like this are difficult to do, but let's see what these horrible stories are doing, they're selling their conscience. In exchange for people's money, if someone is willing to pay to buy those things, it's bad.

I think all of the governments of each country are doing their best to get as much a vaccine as they can for their people. It does not just affect the people but the country as a whole that is why we really need that vaccine but I don't think these people needed to buy vaccines on the dark web. They can just wait for the vaccine to come as they might take their lives easily with this fake vaccines.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else still regret not buying Bitcoin in 2011? on: January 23, 2021, 01:19:45 PM
I don't regret not buying at that time. To be honest, I hope I knew bitcoin that time so I don't have a regret since in the first place I don't know that crypto currencies exist. Another thing is that if I bought bitcoin at the price and at that year, for sure I already sold it and I am regretting that I sold it so quickly and didn't wait for this bull run to come.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin? on: January 23, 2021, 12:18:22 PM
Disadvantage is the risk and volatility, the lack of notification and understanding, with incomplete functions, but which are developing, so Bitcoin is not perfect.

As my programmer friend always says, there is no perfect system, and neither is bitcoin. There are risks that need to be taken, there are a lot of things to consider and we should be aware that it is not always a profit. All in all, the biggest advantage and disadvantage of bitcoin is the fact that it is a volatile crypto currency.
200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Toronto women win jackpot lottery on: January 23, 2021, 12:12:34 PM
Some Filipino bettors of Lotto do the same thing and usually, and I can hear a lot of people having a conversation like this that they are taking care of a number that they bet and when they change it, that number actually won. A lot of regrets but I think that is just a coincidence. This is her luck and I hope they could enjoy their dream with that huge amount of money, oh yeah, there's tax.
