1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 19, 2020, 01:56:09 PM
Just we're discussing how great they were with their match against Team Secret. The opposite happened with their match against Virtus.Pro. I have watched the match and they've been outplayed by VP.

Next match will be with Viking.gg. Not popular players and roster for others but they shouldn't be confident with this team. OG have to be serious with this match because it's either they move to the finals or go home @ 3rd place.

Well, OG won with a sweep. That is a statement and they are proving something here. After the game, they interviewed 33 and it is said that it was his idea and it is funny since we all know NoTail as a captain like that. Bo5 against VP and it will happen today too, a bit tiring day for OG but I still root for them. OG has a plan and I think they won't be swept by VP today.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 19, 2020, 04:51:07 AM
That was a hell of a fight for Team Secret and OG. Who watched the match? if you haven't, I advise you to watch the replays and see the 2nd game. It's a 2-0 game in favor of OG. I thought that Team Secret is about to win the 2nd game but one mistake after another, I saw zai used euls wrongly on a dying gyrocopter and then with an upcoming boat of kunkka. Little did they know, gyro's satanic was already to cool down within a split second.

It's a comeback from the whole team, they all did great a job sending Team Secret in the lower bracket.

Gyrocopter of Sumail with 3 divine rapiers! well played and rand won the bet too.

OG is just amazing. Just look at their heroes, and they win against one of the best teams in the world, Team Secret. It's been multiple games since we've seen 33's Chen and right now, it became effective. From IO carry to Chen carry, OG is really shaping the meta not limiting the roles into 1 or 2. Now we can say that Sumail will really rule the carry this season.

Yea, i agree. OG is amazing with any players they use. However, I doubt they can win this tournament. OG is facing Vikin.gg for the grand finals where VirtusPro awaits them. This is VP's tournament for sure! They are just too dominant!

VP will surely win this tournament. I am a fan of OG but from their 2 matches against VP, they are wiped. I don't know if being played online gives the upper hand of VP but still, this might be another rematch of OG and VP in the finals. Viking.gg won against OG in their last game and if OG won this tournament then that means that it is a comeback to two of the teams they lost in the group stages.

Nigma is also eliminated and what I am observing is that most of the low tier teams are now showing their skills and I think this tournament is done online is the reason why what do you think guys?
Imo the biggest reason why some teams are not giving their best is because it's a non dpc event so there's not much to compete for other than the money.

Yeah, I agree. It is a coincidence since I've been communicating with my friends this afternoon about this and they also said that it is not a DPC tournament so teams are focussing on other upcoming tournaments like ONE Esports in Singapore. My friends are planning to watch some games but I am scared since the pandemic might still be a problem at that time.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] ESL One Los Angeles 2020 MAJOR [GAMBLING DISCUSSION] on: April 17, 2020, 04:03:55 PM
I think Chicken Fighters would be taking their exit now in this tournament as we are seeing a LB Nigma.
Nigma just lost so we won't see the Nigma's lower bracket beast mode again  Grin. And surprisingly their sniper support strategy just got REKT  Grin

But sadly we won't see the dramatic match between Team Secret (Matu) vs Nigma this time.

They already fought in WePlay and I think there is no drama in these players as we see them hugging and talking in that tournament. Viking.gg just eliminated Alliance and it is really sad since they also have that advantage when they stole the rapier to AM. I think this is not their win so still, GG to them. Nigma is also eliminated and what I am observing is that most of the low tier teams are now showing their skills and I think this tournament is done online is the reason why what do you think guys?
1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in High School Syllabus on: April 17, 2020, 03:12:34 PM
This is a big no for me. It is not that I am against bitcoin and the blockchain technology in the curriculum, but we should consider the course, and the student himself. Another thing is that there are a lot of sources where students can learn about bitcoin, from videos to books and articles, they could learn a lot of it. Also, here in our province, finding a teacher would be hard to teach that subject, it is also not suitable in our environment and with the lack of materials, it would be hard to teach it. Though currencies and also taxations are taught in our school so in terms of bitcoin might replace fiats, I guess our students can answer that.
1187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if BTC never reaches all time high? on: April 17, 2020, 02:27:59 PM
The value of Bitcoin isn't determined by its price that is proved from the last two years. You have observed the huge flactuations but still it is number one crypto and its value is determined by its utilty. If BTC can't reach its high peak in the next few years, we won't mind it as we are not here for BTC price.

Well, if you are not I am. Despite the fact that I also want to use bitcoin as a payment method every day, I also wanted to earn a profit out of trading and holding them in a time period. If the price did not reach another ATH, that is fine as there would come a time that the price will be reaching that and might exceed what we are expecting.
1188  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: April 17, 2020, 12:52:28 AM
Indeed. I agree that this virus teaches us something more important than what we do. In every way in our life, something's far more important to be consider in what we do and that is God. Let us be careful not to offend Him.

It is just sad how people are talking about God and His words when these kinds of natural phenomenons happen. They just approach Him when they needed Him the most and after all of this, it will just disappear just like the pandemic. I am not religious, I don't usually go to church, I am not a perfect religious guy but I do believe in Him before all of this even happen and we all know this happens for a reason.
1189  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: April 17, 2020, 12:00:15 AM
this advantage is pretty applicable to many people especially regular individuals that does not know how to use cryptos

This is not the only advantage of fiat but it also evolves on how the people accept bitcoin in their country or in their place. There are countries that accept or legalized bitcoin but don't really accept bitcoin that much.

By the way, Team Secret have also secured their position in Playoffs. I'm looking forward to seeing a big match in the upper bracket  Smiley

Also excited how Team Secret will perform after their loss in the last tournament they joined which is the WePlay where they lose against Nigma. VP is also a team to look out for, the as Chicken Fighters and Viking.gg. A bit disappointed with the performance of Nigma, Alliance, B8 and Cyber Legacy. I thought they could do better.
I honestly think they'll advance easily in the upper bracket and likely to win the tournament. Alliance's bad results was already expected imo since they've lost two of their best players and immediately look for other players to fill them in just for the tournament.

Team Secret is one of the teams in the upper bracket so the possibility of them winning increased. They are joined by Team Spirit, OG, and VP. Team Secret will be facing OG in their first match in the upper bracket so this will be interesting since the same as VP, Team secret did not drop one match in their group, Group B. As VP will face Team Spirit that also showed a good run. The playoffs board is already completed and we will see if Team Nigma is still the team that dominates the lower bracket. Will they be able to have that unstoppable run again? We will see as their first match is against Chicken fighters lead by Sonneiko.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: April 16, 2020, 03:18:51 PM
Like some members I gambling a little. In this time of quarantine, I have not wanted gambling. It is very difficult now. I am helping my family I also have an unemployed brother and I don't have extra money for me. Now my priority is to take care of the family until this bad weather ends.

That is just right. People should not really pursue their gambling activities right now as casinos are closed and people are just risking their money more with the games they will be betting on that they don't usually do. That is the right path you take and people should really focus on taking care of their family than taking care of their vices.

1193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why bitcoin is unique. on: April 16, 2020, 01:32:34 AM
There are a lot of transfers in the past that is already this much and this is the reason why bitcoin is the best when it comes to global transfers and other transactions. We can't stop people from criticizing it but let them be, as people grew fond of bitcoin, people are opening themselves into accepting it and using it as such. As that continues more business groups, companies and even small businesses would consider to accept and use it.
1194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 16, 2020, 12:05:03 AM
Despite the fact that we are still affected by the pandemic, I think it could still affect the price positively in some way. It might increase but not that much and not that long considering people wanting to sell some of their bitcoins so they could provide for their family or themselves. I am expecting not that much but deep inside, even though it is not the same in the past's halvings, it will have the same result.
1195  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the government understand? on: April 15, 2020, 12:46:27 AM
In such a situation the government must immediately understand that its people need income. It is true that the government
guarantees supply basic needs, such as food supply for each of its people. But it is not possible to make people live peacefully,
because people also need money for other unexpected things. Therefore there is no other choice, in my opinion cryptocurrency
the best solution for anyone can earn income. And the government must understand that.

It is not that the government misunderstands this situation but the thing here is that not all of the government are legalizing or accepting cryptocurrencies, mainly bitcoin, because of the fact that people could invest in it and earn quickly. The governments are also legalizing it for the safety of their citizen. As @Viscore said it, little improvement is better than no improvement at all.
1196  Economy / Economics / Re: People hoarding anime, Nintendo Switch, manga, figurine, all weaboos collectible on: April 14, 2020, 11:09:26 PM
I think this is just the point where people are just wanting to kill the boredom. Weeks on the quarantine and it is really bad since we can't go out that much, we can't go to places casually and can't even buy groceries and other essentials that easily. People in their houses have nothing to do but play games, watch movies, animes or maybe Korea Novelas. We can't blame them though, we need something to kill the time.
Why through? We are fine by writing code and cracking code and security and such, it’s never bore the computer world are wonderful, it’s endless possibilities, it’s above food, we are skipping food to uploading and downloading binary!!

Well, people have different things they find entertaining and interesting at this point. As there are people who will be entertained at the front of their PCs all day long, there are those people that love consoles and other kinds of stuff like reading books and porn maybe.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] ESL One Los Angeles 2020 MAJOR [GAMBLING DISCUSSION] on: April 14, 2020, 10:40:04 PM
Even VP was stomping OG really hard in the first match  Shocked

So true! Never thought that VP was this prepared for this tournament but I was mistaken. As far as I know, VP is already in the upper bracket and I guess Team Secret will be following them in the next days. We'll see how long VP would be able to do their run flawlessly.

By the way, I will follow this BTS Pro Series: Southeast Asia and maybe the result will renew my opinion about SEA teams.

Well, there are still good teams in the SEA especially right now Fnatic since they are having a good run and they even won the online ES One LA tournament facing Adroit at the finals and right now, they are unstoppable without dropping a loss in BTS Pro Series. TNC is now in that bracket and with one loss on the board against BOOM while they won against GeekFam so I think TNC is still inconsistent here.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: April 12, 2020, 11:28:05 PM
Many gamblers have a dream like this, I even include myself. I know everyone wants to achieve their financial goal through gambling which is considered as easy money if you win. But I know that this is a kind of dream that will remain a dream for everyone.

You should not say that this is just a dream for everyone since some of us already reached that kind of goal. Some did earn a lot of profit in gambling and stopped there, they used gambling as a stepping stone to their goals and others built their own casinos for them to earn profits. As I said, not all of us can do such a feat so we should not do the same since it will not happen the same as them.
1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] ESL One Los Angeles 2020 MAJOR [GAMBLING DISCUSSION] on: April 12, 2020, 10:50:15 PM
We will be seeing that in an hour.

VP and OG will be facing their first match in the tournament and we will see how will VP react to picks of OG since it is the team that is so confusing and you don't really know what is happening to NoTail and Ceb's mind. VP usually likes to counter pick, that is why they are at the top right now. It is also funny that some fans and even the casters are saying that Viking is said to don't win games without an Alche pick.

Watched the game and from that, we can really conclude that VP is the better team than OG right now. As you said, VP is the winner because of the picks they've been doing. OG is quite unpredictable when it comes to picking a lineup but VP did some good picks despite the adjustments OG did. VP did not just win against OG, they stomped OG.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 12, 2020, 10:38:28 PM

Anyone here looking on the Los Angeles ESL One Online tournament?
This upcoming match on Group A, OG vs Virtus Pro is kinda exciting, Virus Pro is undefeated, (4-0) while OG is (3-1).
The odds are kinda amazing for Virtus Pro, but still, OG is scary team for this tournament. I think this time OG will play more seriously to aim the first spot in Group A, but Virtus Pro showed quality performance since the start of the tournament for staying undefeated. This is also the first time encounter of OG and Virtus Pro.
Who's side are you? I need some inputs  Cheesy.

If you checked my bets, you would see that i went with VirtusPro. I've analysed them few times already, and they are playing better and better. OG is always good, they have 2 standins currently, but they are performing good. Anyway, I do think 50-50 match, higher odds win  Wink

Well OG lost and its a sweep. Clearly VP is a better team than OG right now and I am a bit disappointed thinking that they could win against VP. As the casters say it, we don't need to be annoyed about how OG picks their lineup since they've been doing that from the start of the tournament and they've been successful in that in the earlier stage. Right now, we can see that it is crumbling down with a team that has players having their own position to them since OG is having a hard time dealing with that right now.
