181  Economy / Economics / The problem with Credit Suisse and banking sector. on: March 16, 2023, 03:23:58 AM
I think you all noticed that the stock market went down again and this time it's because of Credit Suisse.
It is still one of the biggest banks in Europe so the European banking sector has some problems too.

Their bonds, CDS, everything is going down and it's bad news not just for people from Europe but for everyone cos this is international.

Credit Suisse had some problems in previous years but this time it's wild. They delayed their annual report and announced that they have weaknesses in internal control which is awful for the bank. And the largest shareholders started saying that they won't give any money to Credit Suisse. People are withdrawing from this bank for the last 3 months but now it's got even worse.

Because risk is getting higher, people move away from banks to invest in more stable assets. The US is helping banks to bail out depositors but banks still have to keep credit flowing which is pretty hard considering the loss of trust in this sector.

I think the best decision right now is to wait for what will happen next because it's pretty hard to predict where the market will move next.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust in cryptocurrency? on: March 15, 2023, 12:43:15 AM
People who don't trust crypto don't know what is it.

It's normal that most people don't even know that bitcoin is a revolution happening in front of them. I think it's because people tend not to follow new technologies and just ignore the stuff they don't understand.

But I'm sure that soon enough even these people will be into bitcoin and will be using it.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: March 14, 2023, 12:16:58 AM
I wonder if higher education will help for entrepreneurship?

Not necessary. If you want to be an entrepreneur you need to get into it and get first-hand experience.
But education is great too cos it will help you to look at things from a different angle and it could help you to see some opportunities or interesting business ideas.

I will disagree with the comments down below saying that people with Higher Education don't have a big business. There are a lot of entrepreneurs who create new tech companies or startups based on their expertise.
So if you have an opportunity to get a higher education I think it would be a good thing for you, but if you want to invest this money in business and you already have some ideas then go ahead.
184  Economy / Economics / Bank Bailouts and Stock Market. on: March 13, 2023, 10:33:13 PM
Hello everyone.
I think some people interpret this whole situation a little bit wrong so I wanted to share my opinion on this topic.

I think the banking contagion is now over. The government and federal reserves backstopping the banks with the protection of assets above 250k. So we won't see more bank runs because people know that their money is protected now so banks are safe.

Some people and media also say that the system broke and that means that federal reserves won't rise interest rates at the next meeting. And I think it's completely wrong. I think they will just rise rates for another 0.25% as a response to the SVB situation. The inflation is still pretty high and FED will keep fighting it, they can't afford to stop right now.

So I think we will still see a lot more bankruptcies, there will be more layoffs and the stock market will keep suffering from that. This also means that bitcoin will probably find a new bottom.
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price. Inflation persists. on: March 13, 2023, 12:46:53 PM
What does it mean for bitcoin?
I still stand by my words that until inflation won't get better -> FED will keep rising rates -> which will damage the economy and stock market -> bitcoin will suffer too.
Not necessarily.

Unfortunately, bitcoin is closely correlated with Nasdaq. When you look at the graphs you will see that bitcoin mostly moves in the same direction as the stock market. And I don't see any reasons for it to chance in the near future.

the price will go up because more demand for that product exists than supply.

It's literally how prices on everything work, but it's not that simple. I highlight the reason why bitcoin won't go up until the economy will get rid of the existing problems and inflation is one of them (and the big one).

If demand for bitcoin falls, it might result in a rise in price as people sell their products at a reduced cost.

No, if demand goes down and supply up, the price goes down as well.
186  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin price. Inflation persists. on: March 12, 2023, 05:58:12 AM
Hello crypto bros.
I made a post couple of days ago talking about the best time to invest in bitcoin and I mention that inflation still looks bad and we shouldn't expect the economy AND bitcoin price to get better anytime soon.

Today I want to make an update on the inflation and job reports.
The economy added 311k jobs which are way higher than expected. And it's bad for inflation cos we don't see softening in the labor market.

This is very important because it's another indicator that inflation is still pretty high and the next time when FED will be considering how high they should rise rates, they will be analyzing this report. It means that probably FED made a mistake and started FED pivot pretty early.

What does it mean for bitcoin?
I still stand by my words that until inflation won't get better -> FED will keep rising rates -> which will damage the economy and stock market -> bitcoin will suffer too.

So I still think that bitcoin will stay below 22k for a pretty long time and the signal that it will change will be much lower inflation and lowering of the interest rates.

Just wanted to give you this quick update, stay safe bros.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the last chance to exchange stablecoins for Bitcoin on: March 12, 2023, 05:44:34 AM
I think the problem with this analysis is that you totally ignore macroeconomic conditions.
Overall, bitcoin is down because the economy is suffering, inflation is still high and FED is still hiking rates. Bitcoin's price is connected with the stock market so when it goes down, bitcoin goes down too.

So I think when you want to analyze bitcoin price and give investment advice, you should also consider macroeconomy.
Personally, I don't see any signals that bitcoin will go above $20-22k range in the close future. We all need to wait for the FED to stop raising rates and the economy getting healthier and for people to get spare money to invest in assets.
188  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin will (probably) go lower. on: March 10, 2023, 07:34:10 AM
Hello everyone! Today bitcoin went below 20k and it will probably go even lower I share my opinion on why it will happen.

Not too long ago I wrote a post about the best time to invest in bitcoin/crypto and this moment still didn't come.
I was saying this before and I will say it again: bitcoin will go down and it MIGHT even go lower than 15k.

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to be bearish or say that bitcoin is bad and you shouldn't buy it. I still think that DCA is the best tactic to choose in any circumstance. So keep buying bitcoin, it is the future of money and great technology.

But my opinion is that right now it's not the best time to buy bitcoin and it will go lower because of some reasons. The main reasons for me are that the inflation is still too high, the economy is suffering and rates are still high. There is also a statistical fact that all previous times when FED pivots happened, the economy dipped even lower and found a new bottom. We still didn't see this fallout so it's safe to assume that it's coming.
Latest statistics also showed that inflation is higher than expected and FED could start hiking rates once again.

My advice will be to wait until FED will start lowering rates which will mean that the economy will start recovering and money will flow into crypto and bitcoin.

Anyway, keep safe and don't panic, we will get through it. Grin
189  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin fall below $20000 , it's a messy thread. on: March 10, 2023, 07:22:20 AM
I told you guys before and I will tell it again. Unfortunately, we are STILL expecting the bottom. If we will look at the inflation, what FED is saying, and the economic situation in general, it looks like something will break down soon. Everything is still kinda bad and it won't get any better until FED will start lowering rates.

So I still recommend everyone to not go all in on bitcoin or any crypto until we will see signals that the economy will get better from now on. DCA is still a good idea like always, but be careful when you choose at what price to start DCAing.

Be safe, bros.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a change in people's views? on: March 09, 2023, 04:28:14 AM
what are your thoughts on what if the majority of the population all of a sudden sold all their fiat and put it into a crypto? like BTC, do u think the system or part of the traditional finance system see some type of impact/disruption?

Never gonna happen. I think crypto being as good as it is, won't win over fiat as a traditional way to make payments. To change from fiat to crypto you need to rebuild the entire economic system and it would be very hard to control because you can't print new bitcoins (which is good for inflation) but at the same time you can't print bitcoin even to boost the economy or resupply lost bitcoins.

So I think there are really no point to make bitcoin a new fiat. I think they should just coexist.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many crypto wallets do you own? on: March 08, 2023, 12:55:36 AM
I don't really like cold wallets because I'm afraid I will lose them.
I mostly use hot wallets, and I have a lot of them. It's always good to have a new wallet to receive or send money because this way your identity and previous transactions would be hidden.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 07, 2023, 08:48:37 AM
I hate selling any crypto against my plans. That's why people say that you shouldn't invest more money than you can afford. Because there is always a chance that you will wait for a long time to generate profit.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thoughts on Doge coin. on: March 07, 2023, 08:46:50 AM
I have strange relationships with doge coins.

I like investing in altcoins and I believe that there are a lot of good projects that bitcoin maxis are ignoring. And you definitely can't say that altcoins are useless.

But if you think about meme coins, they are mostly useless and pump only because of the hype. So it's a dangerous asset to invest in, that's why I don't like meme coins.

But two years ago I decided that I want to try buying some doge hoping that it will fly up and I was wrong and lost some money. From that time, I decided for myself that these coins are not worth investing in. And after two years I still think that it's better to invest in coins that have some kind of utility/project.

But I still see that there is a huge community of people who still buy doge and wait for it to go "to the moon" despite it still being a coin that only Elon can pump.

So why do you think people still want to risk their money buying meme coins instead of buying bitcoin or some good altcoin? I think that even if doge will start pumping, it won't go x10 because its market cap is too high.
Do you still buy doge or other meme coins?
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: March 06, 2023, 01:48:39 AM
I think I'm gonna go with AVAX. I wanted to buy some ADA too, but I don't really believe in this project. Avalanche should some good results in the past few years and it was growing fast. So I think I will stick to it.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Is US Government on: March 06, 2023, 01:35:24 AM
Bro, you need to educate yourself. You can't just walk around and tell people your nonsense without any evidence and tell them that THEY should prove you wrong. No, it's not how life works. If you state something, you should have decent proof to back it.
I think people should learn that it's not enough to believe in conspiracy and have an "opinion" on things. Your believes should have some decent base, otherwise, your opinion is worth nothing.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how do I keep my private key safe? on: March 05, 2023, 09:35:34 AM
I think one of the safest ways is to remember them by heart. But there is a risk that you will forget them. I think the optimal decision will be to memorize some words and write other ones down so that even if someone will see them, they won't know what words are lacking.
197  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetCrypto - Is this legit for earning free crypto? on: March 05, 2023, 08:56:38 AM
Nah, everyone who offers you a "free crypto" probably wants to scam/ take advantage of you. There is nothing free or easy in this world. So if you want to make legit good money better go and learn about blockchain and smart contract deployment.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you accept ? on: March 04, 2023, 01:45:59 PM
I think the fact that SEC acknowledges ANY crypto as the security is already a great sign that adoption is going in the right direction. I think they will accept that bitcoin IS security sooner or later.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did they not know about the importance of Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2023, 11:03:43 AM
Some people just realize it too late. Someone just didn't believe that bitcoin will go that high. It's always easiest to judge people from this perspective, but when you are at this moment, you can't predict for sure what technology will blow up.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all these crypto-twitter "influencers" are still exist? on: March 02, 2023, 08:56:22 AM
There are some newbies out there
Others are also too lazy to make their own personal research
I agree, but I'm surprised that there are so many of them. Like there are Twitter accounts with millions of subscribers. I agree that there are lazy people and newbies, but I think there are more people who just follow the hype and really believe that you can become a crypto millionaire like the moon in a week lol. It's not even lazy, it's straight-up stupid.

p.s. thanks for the advice, I fixed the post Grin
