OP since bitcoin is fully decentralized, I doubt anyone can stop from using that as a means, unless someone regulated a thing concerning that which I think can be implemented on the ongoing space of bitcoin. Maybe for other coin can still be salvage but not in btc.

I think the airdrop seasons make more users turn into altcoins and we can see that increases due to the recent arbitrum airdrop, but this is selective as well and not for all altcoins, I think one kind of trend or hype could activate thr altcoins bursting but we should see it more when the bitcoin and altcoins relative interaction favor in the altcoins.
