1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 20, 2021, 10:13:07 PM
I have noticed that sometimes when I gamble, I used to win unexpectedly even when I never intended to bet. The most shocking thing is that I usually win when my mind is not that prepared to gamble probably jokingly. Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?
It's just coincidence. Gambling is not attracted to emotion. I mean it doesn't depend on your emotions. Gambling is based mostly on pure luck. So when you weren't "prepared" for gambling, but you still won, it's because you got lucky. You would have had the same result if you were prepared. You probably lose more when you are focused because you play for long. In gambling, in the long run, it is always the house that will win. So stop over thinking, place one or two bets. If you are on profit, take them and leave. If you are on loss, forget it and move on.
1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know if an altcoin is a scam? on: July 17, 2021, 03:44:12 PM
You will know if its a shit/scam coin if you study about the coin a little. Most of the shit coins are just a clone of another well developed coin with a different name. They even copy the whole whitepaper and just makes some small changes over there. Some of the coins will make no sense at all. You will also notice most of the projects will have fake team members and community. They will keep on trying to shill for the coins. Another way to know that its a shit coin is by looking at the charts. You will see that they usually get pumped and dumped at regular intervals. Stay away from those.
1803  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the popularity of cryptocurrency continue? on: July 17, 2021, 03:09:38 PM
-snip-
Recently, the popularity of multiple cryptocurrency markets has continued to increase, and many traditional investment users have also begun to pay attention to the cryptocurrency market. How long can this trend last? Will it always exist?
If you look back, you will notice that the popularity of bitcoin increases with the price. As soon as the value of cryptocurrencies starts to reach a new all time high, we attract more people. People become curious about cryptocurrencies since they start reading about ti everywhere. And yes, this trend will last for a very long time. Crypto currencies are here to stay for now, but we don't know if it will exist forever or not.
1804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Delete token in exchange on: July 17, 2021, 02:37:55 PM
I have been trading tokens for some time. But what if all of a sudden they stop the token from a token exchange?what a closed token says. And will I ever get the closed token back? Is there a system? Tell me if there is.
If you are talking about tokens or coins getting delisted from an exchange, then you will always be warned few weeks ago (or at least days ago) before they remove it. You will receive an email or notification on their exchange about the token getting delisted. You will be given enough time to withdraw your tokens. Even if you missed the time frame for some reason, you can always contact their support and they will help you manually withdraw your coins or tokens to your address. At least a well know exchange would do that for you.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: July 17, 2021, 02:31:47 PM
Lol you can't just tell someone not to panic. I bet if you invest thousands of dollars in bitcoin and see that your investment is going down, you would panic or at least feel a little uneasy. This is totally normal. Panic as much as you want, but just don't sell. You should keep in mind that as long as you aren't selling anything, you aren't making loss. Even if the price tanks down to the bottom, you still hold the same number of coins. And why does it matter when the price tanks? You were already able to afford the loss, hence you invested on something very volatile.
1806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future money! on: July 17, 2021, 02:01:25 PM
Bitcoin has been known now globally and other countries are trying to slow down the inevitable bitcoin as future money. Yes, government do afraid of bitcoin consumption fear of getting their people into which believe that bitcoin is scam.
Which country/government thinks that bitcoin and crypto currencies are a scam? There maybe one or two, but most of them doesn't consider crypto currencies as a scam (not talking about those obvious shit coins). And I don't think the government is scared for their people who are using crypto currencies. They aren't slowing down anything. In fact, they are trying to understand it better and integrate it with the current financial system.
We had been already having enough the issues of centralized currency. Banks made abuses of their clients which is a complete difference when using bitcoin as decentralized currency.
Really? Did your bank "abuse" you? Lol, then there are hundred more banks. Why not move to them?
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: July 16, 2021, 10:40:50 PM
It's really a tempting period for Bitcoin investors considering the constant dip we have been experiencing for a while. I was once adviced to sell my coin when I had an issue that needed money urgently but I objected it took me quite a long time to hodl and loosing them now isn't a healthy idea at all.
Holding them wasn't an "healthy" option too. You needed money, you should have sold it. Why would you even invest on the first place if you couldn't/had to suffer like this?

If I sell off my coin I might not be opportunied to buy back the coin at the exact rate I bought the previous one and had to come to a concrete decision of not selling my coin no matter the consequence. Yes it's going to be a different story if it turns out negative but what if it turns out positive. Vertually everything about life had two faces been the negative outcome or the positive there is hardly any in-between and so for me I rather take the risk and face what ever comes my way in the near future because risk is a necessity as far as investment is involved.
It doesn't matter. You don't have to buy back at the exact same rate. You sell it. You fix your shit and then when you can afford again, buy at any value. You will still make profit. Just don't sell if you don't have to.
If it turns out positive certainly the joy would be all mine and certainly a portion of it would be rubbed on people around and if it turns out the opposite direction then I bear my loss alone. It's really my cross to bear and making this decision was out of a deep quite time I had while I was wondering if I go ahead to cash out or I maintain my hodl and from all indication I just have to maintain my hodl till I get my reward no matter the manner it would appear.
And this is how all investment works. It may work in your favor or it may go against your goal. There are risks associated with it. Sure, keep holding, but don't put your mental and physical health at risk.
1808  Economy / Economics / Re: What's going on in China lately on: July 16, 2021, 10:35:21 PM
Anyone shopping from China lately? I think CoV19 is slowly showing up in China again, I ordered for some GPU from China and I got message that I might not get my orders fully delivered to me because of ongoing covid shit in China again, here is a screenshot

-snip-

Even there are news concerning this on Google too

China already has the virus under control (or at least this is what they want us to believe).  But this is very normal. I guess all international shipping are suffering from delays due to the on going pandemic. All countries are being very careful when it comes to anything crossing the border. The message also says that everything is being delayed due to less flights, but not sure what they meant by "again" over there. I haven't seen any news lately talking about a new wave in China.
1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2021, 10:28:25 PM
So you are suggesting not to sell bitcoin so that you don't get taxed? You want people to hold forever? What are they going to do with it if they don't sell it or use it? You do realize that in most country as soon as you buy anything or exchange your coins, you get taxed. So it doesn't matter if you use bitcoin or sell it. You will still get taxed. And I think people should stop with this toxic hold for life mentality. If you have to sell it, then sell it. No need to hold. You can afford to hold, then keep holding.
1810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on Jack Palmer's thoughts on cryptocurrency? on: July 16, 2021, 10:12:34 PM
Does it matter what he thinks about crypto currencies? He co-created dogecoin. Things probably didn't go his way and now he hates all crypto currencies. I mean, you can see all the hate he has based on his "opinions". It kind of feels like he is just looking for some attention right now. Nothing else. It shows how delusional he is when he said crypto currencies are scam that are controlled by "cartels". LOL!
Is it possible that Elon has paid Jack to sat this, so that people dump their bags and Musk gets a discount to fill his bags again? It would be interesting to see how these celebs follow up their posts in order to prove or disprove my statement.
Lol, you really think this is what has happened? Please tell me you are just making a joke based on how everyone blames Elon for everything that is happening right now...
1811  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid lessons learned know when to finish on: July 16, 2021, 09:38:31 PM
and those that sell their assets are regretting because the price of cryptos are increasing during the covid.
they are wrong with their prediction but if we are talking about real business and not crypto investing,  some business are affected with covid and they see that coming .
maybe some have sold their business early before incuring more losses but some dont because it wasnt easy if you love your business.
How do you know they are regretting? They sold it because they probably had to. What about those that sold their coins when the value of bitcoin was near $60k? You think they are regretting? I am pretty much sure they aren't. In fact they are laughing at those that didn't sell their coins. They sold it. Took their profit and now bought more at a cheaper price. I would have done the same if I knew the price would crash. You would do the same too.
maybe some have sold their business early before incuring more losses but some dont because it wasnt easy if you love your business.
They shouldn't do business then. That would be very stupid of them to continue just because they "love" their business. They should learn that it's better to let go sometimes.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: July 16, 2021, 09:31:02 PM
Most people gamble to make profit. Some do it for quick gains, other do it for the adrenaline rush they get. But in the end, everyone has the same goal. To end up with profit. There are some people that gambles for pure fun. They enjoy making profit. Hence, in video games you will see some of them offering the option to gamble with virtual currency or in game currency. People can have fun playing those without risking their real bank.
As an old example, Fallout New Vegas has an in-built game called Caravans, but you can play blackjack, roulette, etc... Newer games that are free to play or cheap to play offer lotteries that award prices such as unique or rare in-game items...
If you are talking about those loot boxes, then yeah. They are form of pure gambling and some countries are trying to stop those sort of gambling.
There is currently quite an effort on using these techniques in games that should not be about gambling or chances playing and some people may find undesirable. Is this going too far? What type of effect may this game on underaged players?
Most of those games are age restricted. So I doubt any of those underaged players get exposed to those gambling contents.
1813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China says no to miners mean something else on: July 16, 2021, 09:04:30 PM
As far as I know, the Chinese government are making their own crypto/digital currency. If bitcoin exists in their country, it will be a direct competitor of their own digital currency. Hence, the government wants to clean their country off bitcoins. So they put a ban on all sort of crypto related activities. Their people can't even access well know exchanges because of the great firewall. And if I remember correctly, the government banned all financial institution from offering crypto related services. The mining was the last thing left. They are now cleaning those miners too.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paraguay become the second country to legal for bitcoin after El Salvado? on: July 16, 2021, 07:43:52 PM
I have heard few other Latin American countries were also suppose to make bitcoin a legal tender. So I wouldn't be surprised to see if Paraguay becomes the next country to make it a legal tender. I am sure there are few other countries that will follow the same steps. That would be a great start for massive adoption.

at this time there.are still many countries.that are pro to the crypto world even though there.are also many prohibition.but countries.that support crypto are still a little hesitant.to talk about crypto in front of the public.and are still secretly and it is also worth giving a thumbs up for them
There aren't "many" countries that made bitcoin illegal. Just few selected countries. Most of the countries allow their people to use bitcoin. It's just that some have very strict and absurd regulation in order to control bitcoin in their country.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk accidentally created a new cryptocurrency. WTF? on: July 15, 2021, 08:23:54 PM
I don't think Elon Musk created the "Floki" token lol. It is probably someone saw the tweet and took the opportunity to make some quick profit. Created the token and then others followed like a sheep knowing that its a shit token and will likely make a fortune or lose everything. Those who entered early and left quick made profit. Rest suffered from loss. They took their chances, they lost. You can't blame Musk for it. People should blame themselves for doing stupid things.
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin spinoffs devalue Bitcoin over the long term? on: July 15, 2021, 08:08:51 PM
No they won't. There are hundreds of bitcoin forks. Anyone can make a fork. Most of them dies. Others barely survive. Once they fork, they are no longer bitcoin or related to bitcoin at all. There can only be one bitcoin. It would have devalued bitcoin if it affected the supply of bitcoin. But forks don't do that. Moreover, when forks happen, you own both the coins. It's not like you will have to dump bitcoin to get your fork. It might (highly unlikely) causes some affect on the price, but the affect is usually short lived. Forks are just another shitcoin Wink.
1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not just a currency, but represents a new human civilization on: July 15, 2021, 07:18:40 PM
Lol, how do you guys even come up with this sort of discussion? Bitcoin doesn't represent a "new human civilization". You are making it sound like bitcoin has revolutionized the whole world. You make it sound like it has changed every aspects of peoples life. But in fact it hasn't. If it indeed has, then why are there people that aren't using bitcoin, has no clue what bitcoin is or is reluctant to use bitcoin? And also bitcoin has its own flaws. Like a lot of flaws that is stopping people from using it as a regular currency. So no, bitcoin doesn't represent a new human civilization.
1818  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Marriage on: July 15, 2021, 04:59:13 PM
Good for them, but why... lol. They probably wanted to do something different, but I hope they exchanged real rings too. The NFT thing is totally crazy. I still don't get it.
Lol unbelievable even in marriage blockchain has a usecase I never imagined this before If this is real then no doubt the usecase of blockhain will be massive in the near future it will continue to evolve in many areas like this one new and unique use of blockchain with nft awesome.
Exchanging rings on the chain and NFTs would be the shittiest use case and will just cause trouble like others said.
With pictures like this, I'm a little hesitant to believe it or not because there is no clear source where and when. at least you clarify this at least with a clear link from where this source is.
because things like this if not accompanied by a valid source will be very doubtful and even I myself have doubts about the picture.
even if this is true i can only laugh and what response i need to feel with that which is definitely very unique
Highly likely fake as fuck. Even if its true, they are probably just seeking some attention.
1819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital EURO - What are your thoughts? on: July 15, 2021, 04:45:34 PM
In my opinion, the move to a digital currency by the government will have an even greater impact on state control over the citizen economy but at the same time it will allow everyone to start familiarizing themselves with wallets, cryptography etc thus educating people to allowing greater ease of management and certainly of approach towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

The digital euro will be the trojan horse for Bitcoin adoption.
https://www.ecb.europa.eu/paym/digital_euro/html/index.en.html

What are your thoughts?
Digital Euro is just a fancy term. Nothing else. It is still the same. The same fiat currency we are using. Aren't we already using digital fiat currency system? All those cashless transactions are just digital transactions.
The digital euro will be the trojan horse for Bitcoin adoption.
Lol what makes you think it's going to be the trojan horse for bitcoin adoption? Paypal and other e wallet existed even before bitcoin, but people are still using bitcoin. In fact digital euro might make people more interested in bitcoin. Who knows..
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 15, 2021, 04:38:03 PM

There are many reasons why they make all these illegal with some given circumstances, you don't want your family member to be among the people who got into these activities. Tobacco, Prostitution, and Gambling are done underground if they are not going to make it legal, there will be no way for the government to make money out of it if it's going to be still illegal.

So in order for the operators to conduct business legally,  the government has to make money. Fair trade.
You forgot the main point. There are some countries or states where gambling is illegal because gambling does somewhat affect the crime rate. It is said that gambling causes some people to get involved with criminals. Again, there are people that would do anything to fulfil their gambling addiction. Most of the government knows that if they make gambling illegal, people will move underground and it will make things far more worse than it is now. So why not just regulate it and put high tax. It's a total win win situation.
