1841  Economy / Economics / Re: world war 3 is coming ...do to coronavirus / economy ... on: July 12, 2020, 03:09:33 PM
Even with such reasons stated by the OP, still it is impossible for a world war to arise because we are still facing a crisis that we all know the whole world is affected. Actually instead of world war, the whole world is helping each other out by providing the necessities of one another to be able to survive this pandemic. Even the scientists around the world are lending each others hand and mind just to make the discovery of the vaccine to become faster so that this crisis will soon to come to an end.

Even though we are lacking of resources, still it is not a valuable reason to start up a world war because it is a nonsense thing to be since many are already dying because of the infectious disease. What the world have right now is a war against the covid-19 pandemic and not a world war because it's senseless to fight with one another at times like this for it will just worsen the problem.
1842  Economy / Economics / Re: How in the world we going to restart the world economy ? on: July 12, 2020, 02:20:14 PM
To be able to restart the world's economy, what we need to do is to slowly start up the business establishments and other related work places that are mainly concerned on the mass production of nit just foods but as well ass goods and services that are essential to restart the economic flow since many establishments have been temporarily closed which leads to the shortage of essential needs.

But to effectively do such restart on a fast phase, the discovery of vaccine is tightly in need so that we can already open up all the establishments in a maximum capacity of work force to be able to boost up that restart we need on the circulation of goods and services needed by the public so that the economy will now undergo a full recovery.

But since we are still on the pandemic, the "new normal" set up will be the key to somehow start up the slow process of restarting the world's economy from months of postponement brought by the pandemic. Getting into the "new normal" set up will put an ease on the problem we are facing right now even on a slow process while vaccine is still not yet discovered.
1843  Economy / Economics / Re: Did COVID-19 Bring Any Positive Sign? on: July 12, 2020, 01:23:03 PM
The whole world is now passing a crisis moment. COVID-19 has broken down the economy. It has taken many valuable lives and made the world’s medical treatment helpless. The question is,  Did COVID-19 bring any positive sign? I want to describe some points which are being possible by dint of this Culprit Corona.

    • Environmental Improvement:
The environment is passing the happiest moment now. The level of sound pollution has decreased tremedously. The amount of led and carbon-di-oxyde in the air are decreasing in the tolerable stage. The ozone layer is repairing its scratches. The environmental eco-system is being tighten.

    • Tightening Family Bindings:
People were busy in their job or business. Very few times was possible to spend with family. Now maximum people are staying at home and passing most of their time with family members. As a result ties of the family bindings are being stronger.

    • Enhancing Online Business and Marketing
We know world COVID-19 has stopped the activities of industries, firms and businesses. People are now being motivated to involve in online business and online marketing which is beyond the affect of any culprits. Online job and marketing has increase tremendously than before

    • Creating Digital Employment
Corona Virus enhances the area and opportunity of digital employment. People are now engaging in different online jobs. Many self employed activities have also been created that help to increase the digital employment.

    • Expanding the Knowledge and Use of Technology
As people are now passing idle time, many of them who didn’t involve in technological attachment are trying to familiar with digital world for online shopping, online business, online news, social contact etc. They are using computer, internet, web browsing and other technologies. In this case, I say, corona is expanding the knowledge and use of technology.

    • Expanding the Crypto World
To use the present lazy time, Many people are seeking different online platforms to invest their fund. Many of them has already invested in cryptocurrency. Many governments of the world are thinking for advancement of digital currency where cryptocurrency has a priority in the line. So, Corona is helping to expand the crypto world.

I expect to add your valuable opinion.

Well, it seems that you do have a point that despite of the pandemic we are currently having right now, still there is/are positive things that have happened jus like what you have stated above. It seems right because instead of thinking or focusing only on the dark side of the issue, why not divert and seek to see the bright side of it just to somehow lessen the stress brought by this pandemic. But, still we cannot blame other people seeing only those bad/negative effects of this pandemic for we do have different situations and point of view for many are suffering because of the crisis brought by this pandemic.

Well at least you have stated a lot of positive things that we must still do appreciate while this pandemic is still on. But we must not forget that although there are positive things behind this crisis, the reality is that negative impact can be seen and be felt by ordinary people suffering from infection or affected because of loss or job and etc.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: Proposed Bill Would Give Americans $2,000 A Month Until Economy Recovers on: July 12, 2020, 12:43:37 PM
This would be just good if it would be passed because the same thing have happened here in our country wherein our government have provided a financial assistance for all the poorest of the poor up to the middle class people that are affected by the pandemic which brought quarantine, works to be temporarily postponed so no work no pay will be implemented and the financial aid is a help for those people to survive up until the workplaces are open to provide jobs that will be a source of income.

Actually it is not bad to pass that bill since it is a certain need of people that are needed to be attended so why worry or think about passing the bill if it will benefit many people? Although it is pricey because it is up until the economy recovers, maybe the bill could undergo certain revisions pursuing only those who are only in need to have that financial assistance.
1845  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: July 12, 2020, 11:17:37 AM
Even though the reality is that the whole world is affected by the covid-19 pandemic, still it does not lead the way for the promotion of using cryptocurrencies or getting into a decentralized economy because even if it is said that virus could be transferred through physical money (paper money) or fiat, still people have many ways on using fiat such as sanitizing their money or frequently using sanitizing stuffs right after handling money and also there is digital banking and apps where you can pay cashless and also credit cards if you want.

This pandemic has nothing to do on the increase of demand of using cryptocurrencies because here in my country, even people are aware and knowledgeable about using Bitcoin to avoid the physical contact on using paper money, still they prefer using the ways I have stated above since using crypto is still not supported by our government and even merchants although it is not prohibited because we can use it but on our own risk only.
1846  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Food Shortage and Economic Decline Caused by Pandemic on: July 11, 2020, 11:17:22 PM
As a matter of fact,we are currently experiencing the result of the Covid-19 pandemic through out the world.
There are so many people who are suffering and because most of the people are now unemployed because of many companies either closed or lessen their workers, the lives of the people getting worst.
Lack of foods and other personal necessities.
      Lack of finances.
Lack of transportation because of quarantine.
Those are the major problems we are now still facing while the pandemic continue spreading because there is no cure for this virus until now.

What will be the solution for this?
How we can help our government on this current circumstances?
Does bitcoin or any digital currency could help?

The main solution to solve the problem on the shortage of food and economic declination is of course to have first the vaccine. Why? So that we can freely go outside that is no need to worry about getting infected on which we can do the maximum capacity of work force to work on business establishments, factories and other work offices that are concerned or mainly focuses on food production and other necessities because at this current "new normal" set up, even the establishments are open, still it is just on a 30-50% working capacity although it will somehow help the opening of the world's economy, still it will be on a long process but if the vaccine would be available, then we can fastly recover from the crisis brought by this pandemic.

I cannot see what Bitcoin can directly do on this matter because what we need is literally work force to open up the world's economy. But maybe it can somehow help on providing financial assistance but in need to be converted into fiat right after to support projects concern on economic recovery.
1847  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: July 11, 2020, 03:13:23 PM
As for what I can see and observe from the happenings being stated on the news and what I can see in my community, I can say that this pandemic have brought negative effects on my country's economy since mass production of goods are temporarily down which brings for the price of basic necessities to rise up due to public demand and shortage on supply. The economic sector is really affected on this because of no production being done for the past months of this pandemic that brings to have quarantine leading workers to stay at home except from nationa security personnel and medical practitioners.

The prices of livestocks have also increase although we have undergone a price freeze for a moment of time, still merchants are in need to earn their profit by increasing the price. What the point is that almost all sectors are directly and indirectly affected by this pandemic and it will really take time for the recovery to come using this "new normal" approach on the way of living while vaccine is still not yet discovered.
1848  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: July 11, 2020, 02:23:15 PM
Have you seen how governments responded to the corona virus?

Quite simply, in Italy, the US and elsewhere, they will increase their budget deficit, and add debt. In my understanding, that's very bad for fiat currencies, while BTC will remain unaffected, thanks to the lockdown on money supply.

Yes I do have seen how our government have responded on the rising case of this covid-19 pandemic. Our government have extended a hand on borrowing money from the world bank just to be able to sustain the needs of its people since many individuals are directly affected by this pandemic because many establishments are close which lead to people getting jobless and tend to stay at home.

It is indeed that this pandemic is really harmful directly to the fiat currency and not into Bitcoin because we are most likely using fiat to provide direct response on this pandemic to sustain the necessities of ours to be able to survive this crisis. This Pandemic have really gone through the limitations of almost all countries affected which lead them to create a loan or borrow money just to sustain the needs of its people during this crisis we are facing right now.
1849  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus on: July 09, 2020, 01:26:43 PM
It was just a right action to be done although it worth a sacrifice of burning banknotes, but at least it will somehow lessen the spread of virus for it is believe that virus can be transferred through passing of paper money from one and another hand. It is just a precautionary measure done to keep the citizens safe. But in reality, based on what I know, burning of banknotes are illegal since it is a national government property but since there is a call and right reason for doing such and the government have ordered such action, then it is worth a try and sacrifice.

Aside from that, we citizens, specially those that are not residing in South Korea where their paper money undergoes sanitation, we must always do sanitize or wash our hands whenever we are receiving paper money to ensure our safety. It is the least we could do now that there are lots of ways that the virus can possibly be transferred.
1850  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries and their own cryptocurrency! on: July 09, 2020, 11:34:46 AM
It is fascinating and interesting that there are really countries whose government are willing to adapt and  create their own cryptocurrency because most commonly, countries are against the usage of cryptocurrencies for they have no control or they cannot manage the usage of it unlike the national fiat money they are using in a circulation for the whole country.

Like here in the country where I do belong, the government is not encouraging the usage of cryptocurrency, although it is not prohibited, but they do not support the usage and adaptation of it and stated that we must get into it on our own risk. Though I understand why their stand is something like that, still I am wondering or wishing that adaptation even without creating our own national cryptocurrency can be possible so that the users residing in our country can have convenience using our cryptos.

1856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Does this Pandemic intensifies the usage of Bitcoin? on: June 21, 2020, 11:53:34 PM
We are all still currently experiencing the effect of pandemic and most of us do still tend to stay at home to avoid getting infected by the virus.

My question is that does this pandemic intensifies the usage of Bitcoin knowing that physical or paper money might also be a carrier of the virus once pass on hand might caught droplets bringing the virus from a certain individual.

Using Bitcoin provides cashless experience that we know safer with this pandemic so, does this means that people will tend to use Bitcoin at this time or still into fiat?
1857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming on: June 21, 2020, 11:15:40 PM
As mobile gaming become start to become popular in the world of gaming.
I have this thought on my mind;

Can we relate Bitcoin with Mobile Gaming?

Just like Bitcoin; banks can be a traditional and Bitcoin becomes much easier and comfortable to use.

In mobile gaming; PC Desktop games/console games, etc can be traditional while games on mobile are the new trend where you can play comfortably anywhere with just your mobile phone.

Does it ring a bell?
It's kinda the use of Bitcoin is much comfortable since we just need a Bitcoin wallet and internet connection to make the transaction.
And in gaming: we just need a mobile phone where it is easy to access anytime and anywhere and play since you just need your mobile phone, no need to bring your console/PC desktop every time just to play.

That could be possible to make happen in the future but as for now, what we certainly need first to have massive adaptation of Bitcoin usage so that we can be able to relate on using it into another platforms like mobile gaming.

But you have the point that both jive into the same device which both can be used at the same time. But as of the moment we cannot really just relate those two until we have massive adaptation bringing those two together which might be possible to happen in the future.
1858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There Are Now More Than 8,000 Bitcoin ATM's Worldwide on: June 21, 2020, 10:31:41 PM

The number of crypto ATM's worldwide has grown to more than 8,000 just a month after passing the 7,000 mark in March.
According to the monitoring resource coinATMradar, there are currently 8,208 ATM's in 73 countries allowing users to buy and sell Bitcoin and Altcoins for Cash. More than 6,000 of them are in the United States.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/there-are-now-more-than-8-000-bitcoin-atms-worldwide

It makes people to have a convenient bitcoin transaction for those who are nearby ATM's machine.
It shows continued growth of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. The mass adoption for bitcoin will surely increase and someday many people now without knowledge in bitcoin will engage in cryptocurrency because as time passed, bitcoin became more and more popular and recognizable.

That was really pretty awesome how usage of Bitcoin is massively being adapted worldwide with the increase of numbers when it comes to the existence of 8,000 Bitcoin ATM's worldwide. This really gives a lot more convenience into people who are into using Bitcoin for they can now easily do transaction with Bitcoin because of this.

This just come into my mind that on the near future, the existence of Bitcoin ATMs will continue to grow evenly once usage of Bitcoin have already been massively recognized and adapted by many people. This just shows a big step into massive adaptation of Bitcoin usage that can grow even more once people know the importance and usage of Bitcoin.
1859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying food or groceries with Bitcoin on: June 21, 2020, 09:59:21 PM
Bitcoin's popularity has been increasing ever since the bull market of 2017 took place. Even with the pandemic, prices have recovered to their original levels (near $10k) in just a matter of months. More people are accepting Bitcoin worldwide, albeit at a slow and steady pace. I've seen many sites out there in the online world which accepts Bitcoin for goods and services. But the number of businesses and merchants accepting it for food or groceries are quite limited. In the physical world, supermarkets and even fast foods haven't even adopted Bitcoin yet. Fiat is still the predominant type of currency in the mainstream world, for buying items that are required for one's survival.

Do you think that in the future it'll be possible to buy food or groceries with Bitcoin? I know that volatility is a huge issue for Bitcoin to be accepted as an alternative to traditional Fiat, but merchants and businesses could quickly convert Bitcoin to a stablecoin minimizing the risk of loss. What are your thoughts? Huh

That could be possible once people and merchants have adapted the usage of Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency in order to purchase foods and other services provided that cryptocurrency like Bitcoin would be use as a payment option.

Only that can be possible if the increase of demand on using cryptocurrencies to buy food and groceries will take place so merchants will going to adjust into the people's demands and make a way for the acceptance of using Bitcoin would happen. Before such thing could happen, people must first know the importance and usage of Bitcoin for them to be able to adapt on using such currency to purchase daily life needs like groceries and other services as well.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO and Betting on: June 21, 2020, 09:23:42 PM
I am sure you guys are aware that most of the tournaments are now being played Online. Many of the noted teams like NaVi, Cloud9 and Tier2 teams play bad Online as compared to their actual LAN performance. Do you think this will cause any ups-downs in the actual result of the matches? Also, I wonder how will Astralis play Online as I am not sure if i have seen any of their match being played Online before in 2019-20.
I don't see any problem with such tournaments going online. Unlike soccer or basketball, people that compete at CS: GO don't really need physical space to perform their actions, and they're doing everything on their laptops anyway, right? People won't be able to watch them in a stadium or something, sure, but maybe that's even better for the contestants as they'll be less distracted than usual. At the same time, the win wouldn't feel the same without all that support, so I am not sure.
As for the concerns about playing worse online, it's hard for me to get it when it comes to a game like CS: GO.

Indeed. There is no such problem when tournaments are going online because it really suits the situation we are all currently in to since those that have been stated by the OP are video games that can be played through LAN (Local Area Network) and Online.

I think the only thing affecting the gaming experience between online and LAN is the platform itself for there are games that playing online is more intensifying compared to the LAN version but due to internet connectivity might be experiencing lags throughout the game. Actually online tournament are just being done via live stream so that e-sports bettors can be able to witness the game which is already common ever since even without pandemic.

But playing or setting up a tournament online is really a good thing specially for the current situation we do have. It is just a matter of the platform and team game play if you would prefer betting on LAN or online game being showcased via live stream.
