1881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arbitrum Token Initial Price Speculation on: April 26, 2023, 08:59:09 PM
Well yesterday was the Arbitrum Airdrop with 90 million ARB tokens given to 125 DAOs in the ecosystem. This is $120 million worth of the ARB tokens.
It has allocated total 113 million ARB tokens worth around $148 million at current market value. ARB token is up 4.5% just in last 24 hours.
https://decrypt.co/137848/arbitrum-airdrops-120-million-in-arb-to-daos
That's smarter than i thought. Incetiving dexes etc to prioritise arbitrum makes sense. I was sceptical and thought that whales will just give airdrops to themselves as they pretty much are in control when it comes to voting. And this opens all kinds of boxes for example political donation airdrops if the whales happen to agree on those issues. I am pretty hopeful that they stay tech focused on this.

1882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto banks replace traditional banks soon on: April 26, 2023, 06:42:35 PM
In some third world country maybe. But there's no way crypto banks come even near to regular banks. You might be able to buy cryptos from regular bank and hodl but i am willing to bet that they never will allow crypto deposits or withdrawals. There are too many regulatory problems they will have to overcome before that.

And that's one of the main reasons why crypto exchanges are avoided by majority. If you can withdraw crypto it will attract hackers.
1883  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: April 25, 2023, 11:10:04 PM

Since OP's last update 24.10.2021, he lost an amount of his investment as all of these top 10 coins had dived down. It was the time of bull run but when the bears started the value was drained.

I think he should be investing during the time of the bear market or the time when he can assume the market had bottomed. Let's say Nov-Dec 2022, then he could have made profits. Or this week could still be a good time to start the 10 top coin investment journey. Then check out the value during the bull run after halving. The value should be something to brag about.
Time was chosen because i happened to gather the data in 24.10. And it was the bear market then. In hindsight you obviously know when market is bottomed to put your money in, and i feel that if i waited and tried to make it look like i invested absolute bottom, it would be cheating. And my latest virtual portfolio (24.10.2022) is still back up 15.19%
https://www.cryptocompare.com/portfolio-public/?id=605715

And i hope i don't need to explain that these are not portfolios with real money in them, they are examples. I don't have real money in them. And if i had, that loss of 24.10.2021 portfolio would be a nothing compared to other gains. I will be doing follow up with 24.10.2023 data

-cut-
Yeah, once again, that's not how it goes. We have to use 2% of GDP for our defence budget. So maybe worry about happiness of your own citizens. We are doing just fine in here, so set up as many sanctions as you wish.

We have prepared our security of supply in finland since the winter war and just opened another nuclear power plant so you can keep your gas too.

1885  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Self-moderated]Bitcointalk Gambling Problem Support Group on: April 24, 2023, 08:24:42 PM
Nice idea. Fellow bitcointalk users could understand the problem better then other peers as not all people with the problem are playing with cryptos.
I will definitely bookmark this thread if i need help some day, as i know, while i don't have a problem now we all got bad days when we need to talk, or to commit to new way of life.

I really respect your effort embracing vulnerable side of gambler and encouraging people to talk about their problems and feelings. Only good things can come from this.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: April 24, 2023, 06:41:23 PM
So you're want to make $1,000,000,000 from $40,000 in 5 years? so you need to make 25000x multipliers.

I will say it looks unrealistic for Bitcoin to hit $75,000,000 considering if you spent your $40,000 only to buy Bitcoin at $30,000.

So you're need to invest in shitcoins and hope you will make a quick profit after few hours or days, you need to watch the chart everyday for 24/7 without sleeping. If you sleep you will miss a moment to make a quick profit or you will be in lose since your shitcoins will not able survive during bear market.
And depending on the taxation in OP's country it will most likely need to be way higher multiplier so he can keep that billion. Few big moonrockets in 5 years could technically offer the possibility to make it. It's not unheard of for people making such gains with smaller amounts. Especially when they hop from project to project. 'But changes to pull that off are astronomically low. As OP would most likely blow it all in 1 year trying find even one gem from all the rugs out there.
1887  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: April 24, 2023, 04:20:22 PM
Answer to what? Your post didn't have a question in it. And from the answer of the staff and your reply to it it looks like you have left a huge portion out. Like what info have you provided, what's been asked? This sounds like misunderstanding to me because no one has ever in the history of crypto gambling demanded that anyone need to mine the coins they play with. It's most likely your proof of origin that's shady here. If they can't get a document suitable enough for review, they are prevented by AML law to let you play.

And if you indeed are lvl3 you have played lot of money. So is it a surprise that they want to have proof of the origin? So maybe provide them the tx trail of your funds. With screenshots from bounty sheets explaining who is your nick and document how did you convert the money. That might be hard but they are only following the law.

I wish you read the thread. THEY DO NOT DEEM THE MONEY EARNED FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE APART FROM MINING AS LEGAL
I did read the thread, but looks like you didn't read my answer. You are the only one saying that they don't deem the money from any other source. You haven't included any source to back your claim up, not even a screenshot of that one single claim. Not to mention the whole discussion where that allegedly has been written.

Just because you use red big bold letters doesn't make it any more real. I bolded the line from my answer as well to underline why i find your accusation preposterous when you have no proof to offer.

I think the main purpose of this ICC warrant was an attempt to disrupt Xi's visit to Moscow, and when this failed, everyone somehow quickly forgot about the warrant, as if it did not exist at all.
-cut-
Well that's some brain gymnastics right there. Why would it disrupt Xi's visit? Xi isn't really a price winning human rights activist either as they don't even recognize Dutch extradition treaty.
It sounds like you are just undermining the legitimacy of the warrant. And yeah, warrant exist, you would know this if you just looked it up, why do you think it's forgotten? Don't tell me, because he isn't arrested?
Nah, that would be a stupid answer.

1889  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Madness of many! on: April 24, 2023, 03:43:40 PM
When I was still in elementary school, I been hearing politics but I never knew is a classical game challenge people have to battle to succeed in powers and positions but now is obvious is more like war. No Wonder my lecturer give different definition by different authors. Mahwo Shettu said is politics is war without blood shed, Aristotle said politics is the many for the benefit of few. Marx said is an exercise of bourgeois capitalism over innocent citizens.

But I seen politics as a game of classical cartels for shares interest. Is a win won or lose loss. This is real antepenultimate in lives of humans to play games over others.
And Thomas Mann said that "Everything is politics" which summarises it perfectly. I really don't understand why people need to diss the word when talking and negotiating (aka politics) is the only way to solve things peacefully and act like civilized society. Politicians who abuse their power just tells that system where that's possible isn't transparent enough. As it's way harder to do shady things when transactions and everything is  transparent.
1890  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is losing? Finland joins NATO. on: April 24, 2023, 03:30:23 PM
You jokers are so funny. So is Finland. Lol. All they are doing is trying to keep the Finns inside. If Ukraine had done this, they would have kept millions from fleeing, and they would have had a whole lot more people to join their military, and more people to manufacture arms to fight Russia.

Oh, don't be naive. believe me, the only ones who want to leave the country so they don't end up as soldiers are the Russians. For example, just last year, about 170,000 (data from January '23, now it is certainly much more) Russian citizens immigrated to my country. It's like a smaller city, and it's mostly young and financially independent from the home country.

I can imagine that among other things one of the main reasons for russians fleeing would be to avoid the draft. Which i can totally understand. When the cause is made up and their dictator is insane, and you would have to fight with an ancient gear without decent leadership, your life means nothing and you are probably dying for nothing, i imagine that i would flee as well.

But just out of interest because of such high numbers. Are you part of nato and if not, what do you think of the idea of weaponized of mass migration and has your country prepared to that?
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Unknown Exploit Drained Over $10M in past 5 months on: April 23, 2023, 10:56:29 PM

OP, did you accidentally link the incorrect url? Because that seems not to be the one you are talking about.

I think you meant this one?
https://thedefiant.io/unknown-wallet-exploit-10m

$10 million is very little compared to the size of the entire network. currently the capitalization of ETH exceeds $200 billion, this makes this attack only 0.005% of the network. I doubt it's detectable as the accounts are old and the size of the attack is small. I don't think it's some major system bug threatening the entire network.
Sure, but when the reason is unknown, everyone is in danger. So it's possible that this will be far more agonizing then any dex hack. Because we know something is not safe. We just don't have any idea what it is.
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it advisable to invest on Solana? on: April 23, 2023, 10:45:46 PM
Hello buddies, I am considering buying Solana coins and holding for a very long time. I want to know if this is a good idea before forging ahead to buy it.

Thanks for your responses.

May i ask what gave you this idea to consider? Did someone told you it was a profitable or good platform? If so then why are you asking from random people about it. You can't confirm anyone's track record on investing in here. Or are you just seeking confirmation to your idea to buy it? If you haven't read their white paper and plans, maybe do so. And google criticism for solana as well. You'll be the judge if criticism is valid or not as there will be fud too.

I personally can't see harm buying it but i would feel weird if anyone trusted my word on what to buy. That would be a sure way to get rekt imho

But seriously, folks, a strong plan in gambling is essential. Experience helps you judge better, like a genius scientist. Collect data, tweak your approach, and test your new theories. It's a continuous process of refining and examining.
-cut-
Totally agree with this. Sticking to the plan might not give you winnings but it helps you not to get totally rekt. I know from experience that only way to get rekt in casinos is having no plan. It might get you rush but the downside of it totally overshadows upside. Because when you get reckless you have everything to lose, and it's hard to bounce back from nothing.

Also it makes you respect yourself when you set yourself financial rules and limits and you can be proud of your self-discipline by not breaking them. That makes you trust yourself more.
1894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 23, 2023, 10:29:09 PM
With using martingale strategy, you decrease your chance of winning.

Let's say you have 1 BTC and you want to double it in a casino with the house edge of 1%. If you bet your whole balance in a single bet, the chance of winning would be 49%.
If you start with 1 satoshi, double the bet amount every time you lose and set the bet amount to 1 satoshi every time you win, the chance to double your 1 BTC before losing so many times in a row so that you can no longer double the bet amount would be less than 28%.
I know that martingale doesn't work, that's been proven many times, but surely it doesn't decrease the chance of winning. It doesn't increase it either. House edge is a house edge, you can't fight it and technically any sort of tactic has a same changes of winning in the end. It's all about statistics and luck.
1895  Economy / Gambling / Re: Decentraly.co - Your Place for Crypto Sites on: April 23, 2023, 10:17:24 PM
Huh? "Your Place for Crypto Sites" seems like your personal referral link site. I am assuming that ranking is based on your incentives from these sites since you didn't bother to tell what features you used to actually rate them. Site looks sleek but it's quite pointless. If you would write reviews and comparisons between those sites you could probably get clicks on those links but this is so low effort that it's borderline annoying.

I am assuming that you didn't know about brave browser referrals since that's the only link without referral.
1896  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: April 23, 2023, 08:53:26 PM
Of course that's possible but i wonder what's the reason for risking it as it would need one pair of loose lips to "sink ships". Meaning that this would be hard to keep hidden. People talk when they are drunk and this is a multimillion or if not billion dollar industry that's usually heavily audited. Press would be interested and definitely would pay those underpaid workers more then there salary to give up any dirt on this system.

That comment doesn't really convince me any more then the fact we all know that there's a possibility they cheat. In fact that level of details just sounds like some engineer wanted attention and wanted to show off how he would do it.
1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Back in 2021 Form ;) on: April 22, 2023, 05:08:46 PM
I don't know if you guys noticed but ETH is back in its 2021 trend where it belongs.  Wink  Now holding on to it will depend on how it consolidates above the red bar.  Obviously if the buyers gobble up everything the market throws at them then hopefully we'll see another leg up to 2.5k soon and 3.5k after that.  Leeezz gooo!
-cut-

Yeah true, but i don't see how you do your TA. If this would be a counted as a elliot wave leg wouldn't this be a second leg and according to elliot wave theory 4th and 5th are retracing before we go up? Or do you think it would retrace from 3.5K? Where to? Back to 2500 maybe? Anyway, good to be on the solid ground soon. I feel easy to long from there.
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing but a mathematical fraud. on: April 21, 2023, 09:18:08 PM
I was able to find out that those who invested 50$ to 100$ where able to make 8,000$ and they cashed out, very expected from a human, that's already a big gain, but some wallet addresses failed to take profit and now they are sitting on millions, who does that? With a meme coin.
-cut-
Where did you get the data? Did you pick it from the chain or the charts? You do realize that coingecko and coinmarketcap records the price only after they get listed there. There are coins that have traded days or weeks before or if they are even listed in.

Here's the link to one reddit thread and a screenshot, i would like you see your research as well

Would i invest this now? Hell no. Would i have invest this if i've seen it earlier? Well i literally invested to Pepe Solana before this so maybe if i would monitor eth token launches. But i wouldn't have holded to million.

I have a bad feeling for the Op if he isn't actually working on the game he wants to develop.
Let's see from the few times he's been online in the forums he hasn't said anything in his own thread or maybe he just wants to intrigue these people about what he's up to and never does anything
I wouldn't be surprised that OP would see no future in this. The growth rate of AI products pretty much guarantees that these p2p games that require any amount of skill, will be flooded with AI bots. They are tireless, they have enough incentive, and it wouldn't take long until there were only bots playing. I am pretty sure that online texas hold'em games are already dealing with AI bot problem.

I have gambled using crypto I earned doing small tasks, selling bounty tokens, telegram giveaways, etc and now stake says that gambling with funds earned from such ways is not legal and they want some proof I don't understand.
They don't reply to my emails for 6 months  Cry
They said only money used from mining is legal and now they don't even reply. I am level 3 verified and overall in loss and still they are harassing me
