1101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RFK Jr. Renews Demand For Secret Service Protection After Assassination Of ... on: August 20, 2023, 04:31:14 PM
I completely agree with your point of view. Even if a TV pastor does not have any political experience, Trump would choose him as a running mate for the reasons you have already presented.

However, I could see Trump going along with Elon as running mater in the case Trump ran desperate enough to get an even wider voting base and not only needed to appeal to religious conversative people but also young people who are fans or Elon and are within the right political spectrum.

Though, One of Trump's problems is the fact he cannot be aware enough of his own legal situation to feel desperation and take choices which would likely improve his chances not to end up in prison and become the president. An example of it is he admitting to crimes in his public speeches.

Trump declaring under oath is a nightmarish scenario for his lawyers. (Also the fact he does not seem to pay them as promised)
Even though that would bring him more votes, i think he would avoid sharing a spotlight. As he probably sees Elon as a threat. That's why he won't be joining back to twitter either, as appearing to be rich and strong successful business man is his whole modus operandi. Crawling back because someone bought the whole twitter and gave his account back makes the situation seem like someone feels pity for him and giving his account back is a handout.

There's a reason thy pence was his VP. He seems like a wussies in contrast, and makes Tramp look better.
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 20, 2023, 04:24:00 PM
Anybody know of any crypto casinos that offer cockfighting? preferably vietnamese thai cambodian or filipino
Even if it would be legal, which it's not. What kind of business model would that be for a casino? Offering to bet for any sport that's based on animal cruelty would just drive customers away. It would attract some minority of people who were into such thing, but i am sure that you are aware that people in the internet tend to love cute animals, even over people.

I am not even sure why i bother to answer as it's not legal in most countries, but i can't figure out why it would be even fun to bet on some rigged chicken fights, where animals are are probably drugged out of their animal minds. Watching humans fight is a whole different thing. They are consenting adults.
1103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RFK Jr. Renews Demand For Secret Service Protection After Assassination Of ... on: August 19, 2023, 10:06:55 AM
^^^ I guess I agree. RFK isn't that big of a thing, yet. The one thing that a Trump/RFK team might do for Trump is, it might bring a bunch of Dems over to Trump (because RFK is Dem, at least in name), who would have felt hopeless and lost otherwise.

But, I don't hold out any expectations for a Trump/RFK team.
-cut-
No matter how batshit insane RFK jr is, Trump would seem like even more of a loser next to him. I mean he is ripped compared to trump. Trump wants attention and praise like any old vain man. That's why he is not getting back into Twitter or getting Elon as running mate either. In his mind Elon would outshine him, and make him look even poorer than he is.

My guess is that Trump wants more hypocrite, so he gets some sort of denounced weird religious biggot christian tv pastor running with him. Something he outshines in his mind and can look down on, but has religious fanbase. He would love the idea of people praying of him and to him as a holy man. That tv pastor would also validate his narcissist personality with misogynic and racist values as a wannabe dictator.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not provide full anonymity on: August 19, 2023, 09:48:49 AM
What exactly is the point of the topic? Are you trying to state the obvious which is already an established knowledge or fact on this forum or are you asking a question? I would assume you are asking a question and try to provide answers from what I understand.

Bitcoin is not anonymous. It has never been and this is why it is easier to launder money using the US dollar and it will forever be untraceable than it is to use Bitcoin even when you use mixers it will still be tracked. So many mixers have been seized because this.
My first thought was that OP is new and doesn't yet really understand how this forum works. This should be moved to "Beginners & Help" if it's supposed to be an informative post.

Bitcoin is commonly referred to as “pseudonymous" rather than fully anonymous. Although transactions are registered on the public blockchain, the connection between wallet addresses and individuals' identities isn't direct.
Saying it’s commonly referred to as Pseudonymous is something strange to me as, I can rightly say am hearing this for the first time in this thread which makes the term not so common or very suitable for this description.
-cut-
Pseudonymous is the only word i have been using for it. And i can't count the number of times when i have corrected new people calling bitcoin anonymous.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: August 19, 2023, 09:41:16 AM
Some known popular altcoins are eth bnb ada xrp matic etc and so many are available in crypto market where eth bnb is common investment. But i saw some people, buy matic but don't want to go for ada! Some buy xrp but not Interested with solana!

What is the name of that Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore?? Example: i Won't buy TRON(trx) anymore cause it makes me disappointed several time with its stable price since 2017
Anymore? Do you mean because i have changed my mind has changed about them? I used to like ADA long time ago when it first came to market, but my opinions about it changed pretty soon, even though it has decent code, i don't think it's going to solve correct issues. And some coins have toxic communities and apparently working environment. Profit hungry devs sacrificing quality over buzzwords so i never even buy them.

I really haven't gone from positive to negative about anything else than ada, and maybe AVAX on short time, at least on those that are still in the top marketcap. I used to buy XRP and LTC to use them on transaction between exchanges, but only because those were cheap to use. I never liked to hold them, and now there are cheaper L2 options.

There are still coins that i never really bought except when i tried their ecosystems, like Tron and ADA.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: August 19, 2023, 09:29:40 AM
Has anyone made any progress is uncovering the secrets to get AI to help decide on bets to place for sporting events? With the NBA season now quickly approaching, it would be great to get to mess around with AI and placing bets on games. I guess I’ll have to get down and dirty and see what solution I can come up with.
I am currently in progress of trying to get results on match/fight predictions with chatGPT4. It takes some prompt hacking and when i get some free time i'll post results. If i get good results, i guess just have to find free time to code a bot that automates results.

Of all the AIs launching all over the internet, none so far was able to release one that is for sports betting. The one that it can be relied on is the Bookmarker itself to which whoever has the odds of winning, would also be the pick of the AI.

It's gonna be harder for developers to really get involved in outcome prediction for sports. Probably not as easy as AIs for writing articles and answering questions where AIs can pull sources from the internet.
I am not sure what you are talking about, there are numerous of them, some are free to use, some are not. I am guessing that quality of their "AI" varies a lot. I put "AI" on quotes as people are calling any old program AI these days.

And since meta released their AI as open source, i am pretty sure people have coded their own bots.

1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Spot Bitcoin ETF in Europe Listed on Euronext Amsterdam on: August 19, 2023, 09:00:15 AM

They are rich and have big capital so they must be more careful than small investors like me or you but if they are careless, it is their responsibility. Hopefully they won't fall into bad ETFs and lose their money.

Non custodial wallets, open source wallets, own your wallet mnemonic seeds, private keys and have your own banks. Soon they will learn that lesson and realize its importance.
If you mean that they would get robbed, i doubt that ETF exchanges will even keep their bitcoins connected to exchange, so they would get sobbed in a same way that stock exchanges get robbed, and they are not getting robbed. I doubt that these exchanges would hold bitcoins at all. Or if they would, he level of regulatory oversight would be so harsh that it would be impractical for a normal person to try to deposit their bitcoins.
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spurdo the next pepe! on: August 18, 2023, 09:35:57 PM
Lol, i thought i should make spurdo token at some point, i am not sure how familiar people are with this finnish meme but if i would be on my computer, i would definitely buy some for support. I have no trust that this would go anywhere over this point but who knows, there are many people tracking meme tokens and this is stupidest meme there is, so it's bound to get some action.
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layer 1 Projects speculation on: August 18, 2023, 10:46:19 AM
I found different layer 1 projects for the next bull run.  Did I miss any other layer 1 projects?

1. Quai Network
2. Subspace network
3  Venom
4. Monad
6. Versatus Network (VRRB)
7. Namada (By Anoma foundation)
8. Shardreum (Only for the  node runners)
9. Celestia (Only for the  node runners)
10. Berachain
11. 5irechain
12. Espresso Systems
13  Zetachain
14 Over Protocol
Any more obscure L1s you mean ? Because i am sure there's a reason why you picked the one no one has even heard of? Also only one i googled didn't even have a marketcap indexer yet.

Answer to your question: Yes, you missed every serious L1 out there. I am going to google your list later on as i am interested about new ones, but maybe you should have put more effort and include some data and insight in this post. Now it's just a generic list of random L1s out there.
1110  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: August 18, 2023, 10:34:49 AM
I used to be a Betfury holder but after a few months/years I didn't see any progress in price movement so I thought it would be a waste of time if I wanted to expect profits, now I am active as a player without expecting anything on the BFG token. Apart from that, I also realized that the concept of gambling tokens is indeed like that slow price movement, low transaction volume because investors prefer to keep their tokens and expect dividends. I've also heard that exchanges not like tokens with the concept of dividends the reason is low volume which means low income too as we know the exchange applies a fee from every trading activity.
I sadly can't even play as they excluded EU, nor i can stake for dividends inside the site as i can't just use it. But i feel more than invested as i have put more time for using and studying this than i normally do with tokens. So i am hoping for news that cold trigger me to buy and market trade it.

Unfortunately i can't trust just overall altcoin bull runs as i feel that this could be one of those cases where this is token isnt affected by altcoin season, and right after that usually comes toxicity of community and that affects the future even more. I am still using my time to check the news even though i feel like i could be wasting my time.
1111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulations among the key factors that affect the price of Bitcoin on: August 18, 2023, 10:04:06 AM
Is regulations among the key factors that affects the price of Bitcoin
It would be foolish to say it woudn't affect. You can deduct that yourself just by thinking.
Let me put this as simplified as i can:

Ask yourself few questions:

Would rules of the marketplace affect to how people behave in the marketplaces?
Would fear of jail / sanctions make these people follow the rules?
Would people be more inclined to buy stuff with low taxation in opposition to low taxed?
Would banning some of the customers and marketplaces in general affect sales?
Would people in general trust more to CEXes if they had more oversight and legal protection?
Would institutional investors rather invest in regulated / serious market in cexes, rather than depositing their money to potential exit scams?

Answer is yes to all of these, and they are basically same question as yours sectioned in different parts.
HOW is it affecting to price depends on what the regulations are. It can be positive or negative.

Imho there are more upsides with regulations than downsides, even when we are talking about just the price.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SpaceX sold $373M worth Bitcoin, reason of current dump on: August 18, 2023, 09:47:22 AM
I'm not sure that's the main reason though. SpaceX news were published a couple hours ago, and the (flash) crash just happened, it looks like China's Evergrande filing for banckrupcy is what caused this?

https://www.reuters.com/legal/china-evergrande-files-chapter-15-bankruptcy-us-court-filing-2023-08-17/
My guess is that this s affecting to whole stock market, and bitcoin investors will dump their bitcoin to prevent getting liquidated in the stock market, in which investors are more seriously exposured to. And naturally alts are very sensitive when it comes to BTC movement. SpaceX has nothing to do with anything as in mentioned in this thread already they dumped while ago.

Funny how people were praising elon when his market manipulation was positive. It never was. And people should remember that he is not in your side, he is not anyone's side but his own.
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What factors contributed to the absence of price change after the Litecoin halvi on: August 18, 2023, 09:24:45 AM
While true we cannot forget about self-fulfilling prophecies either, in which if enough people believe that some event will happen on the future then that event will come to happen due to the decisions taken by all of those people, I really think the main difference here is the demand that bitcoin has, bitcoin unlike most coins has a use case and it is the most widely used cryptocurrency, this gives it a massive advantage over any coin and despite most people now knowing about the effects of the halving a bull run may still happen.
Yeah, this is also true. Most of the time outcome of analyzing the fundamentals or real life events that would be affecting chart patterns doesn't fall far off from tossing a coin if the price is going up or down.

Only thing that keeps working so far for me is the effect of "buy the rumor and sell the news". And sometimes those news happens before any rumors and while the price moves immediately, it will move more depending how good or bad news are. In these cases fomoing in often pays off. As when the action isn't priced in, negative news make some people who are in denial buying the dip, as they will see the news as fud. Even when the price keeps on crashing to the ground. While if the news are good people see that as a missing the train and won't buy up when it's already up 70%+ Even though it would have room to grow 10k%

Halving has been an exception on this, as it has every reason of being priced in and so far it really hasn't, at least in case of bitcoin. I wonder when that changes.
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What factors contributed to the absence of price change after the Litecoin halvi on: August 17, 2023, 04:54:42 PM
Why didn't the Litecoin halving affect the price this time? In the past, halvings led to higher prices, but now there are no clear results. I'm puzzled about the reasons behind this. Please help me analyze.
Mark Twain said: “History never repeats itself, but it does often rhyme.” This applies to technical analysis and fundamental triggers in the charts. You can't depend on repeating patterns, even if it would be obvious, when enough people are spotting them, the outcome changes as the event is already priced in as so many people were preparing for it, there were no one left to buy, only to dump their bags in disappointment.

This is why bitcoin halving doesn't necessarily have as much effect to the price it used to. I am hoping i am wrong but i have my doubts about the high price speculations.

1115  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the reason for the X on: August 17, 2023, 04:44:40 PM
Overtime I hardly made use of twitter account and it calls to my noticed that twitter logo was replaced to X instead of the previous logo. Now I was curious to know why such thing happened and why change logo X, does it positively affect the users in any way?
I don't know how many of you are regular user of twitter since I barely relates over there and I noticed is not cool for me to always use since the sold out to Elon Musk that was my ending love of using that social network.

If topic already existed I don't mind locking this thread.
There was no reason changing the iconic bird with generic x except the fact that elon is obsessed by brand "X". He has already tried it before (naming things as X), and then there's the SpaceX. Thing is that Elon doesn't seem to understand the point of branding and what it means to have 15 year old brand that was working. I am guessing elon is also losing his mind over the fact that meta owns the name X related to social media.

I wish i could say that naming it X was the most moronic thing in this fiasco but you only have to follow his tweets to see that he has completely lost it. I got tired and stop using it with several accounts.

Too bad, i used to like twitter. It had it ups and downs but now the whole experience is so toxic that i am not touching it. I guess i have to try threads to refill the void when ever it comes to europe.

And i am not going to call it X. I am just calling it twitter that died.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to determine the Total Supply of an unlisted Token? on: August 17, 2023, 03:14:47 PM
P.S. How do you find this shit?
Very same way I found PEPE, BOBO & JIM early, i.e. by sorting GeckoTerminal.
Do you happen to know, by any change if there are telegram/discord groups that monitor and chats about new microcaps they monitor with dex tracker? PM me a link if you know and want to share. I sometimes use these trackers but it's hard work doing everything by yourself and i am missing gems all the time. I feel like my changes were higher if there would be a more eyes looking at them and weeding out the trash which is most of them.
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After FTX collapse, some call for a return to decentralized roots on: August 17, 2023, 03:07:08 PM
Decentralized roots... what would that be? Most of us still use centralized exchanges for all sorts of reasons. Higher volumes, more markets, and options...
I use decentralized exchange only as I care of my personal information. I don't want to share my passport with everyone and link all the transactions to my name. That's insane doing that in today's world and situation.
But you do share your passport/id with the service that acts as a fiat ramp when you cash out. You can move your tokens in DeFi, sure. But ultimately you will leave a transaction trail that you need to explain to CEX if the amount of money you are cashing out is big enough, or if there's something suspicious with the tx history, so hopefully you have everything in order so you can explain the origin and the route you were moving your money.

This is of course assuming that you will some day want to cash out.
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new token idea on: August 17, 2023, 11:14:44 AM
The token idea is okay, but what you need to know is that every token created has to solve a problem or have a product, because cryptocurrency market has to deal with products and services, and which product or service the coin going to give and everything has to be stated in whitepepper which can attract crypto communities more.
Problem it's solving you can find right in the last "Conclusion" part of the pdf draft that OP provided.

However my question to op is that aren't there already projects that are building to solve these problems? Why wouldn't you join your forces and seek to work with bigger groups that have manpower behind them, than inventing something from a scratch? Dusk Network for example is one of the teams that are building regulatory friendly solution.

1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 17, 2023, 10:30:31 AM
I'm personally betting on the bunch of products them both sell, as the fight we are talking about here is no more than a marketing strategy to boost their popularity and have people talking about both "influencers" and, indirectly, their many brands.

Now, talking about the fight itself, I've always thought that Zucky is not the tyoe of guy who has physical stamina, and although Elon wasn't an Adonis either, I think that he has more chances to win. Both will be fit and trained for the fight, but I see Musk stronger.
Don't know which marketing strategy would that be. Mark is acting like an adult and as a real people practising BJJ and he wants to do it by the book, as this is not about him, but the sport. Not overstepping any limits that are in there for safety reasons, and not to make this some sort of show wrestling event, but a real legit fight.

And in the opposite end Musk is acting like a insecure kid who knows nothing about the real world and now he is trying to bully Mark in twitter, backfiring horribly. I see no positive outcome for Elon in this. And people watching this get only shared sense of shame.

This fight will never happen and opposite to what Elon said, Italian government never even agreed on use of the Colosseum. So if there's a bet that if this fights happen within some time limit or not, i would bet not on any time frame.

1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Whitepaper just Buzz Word in Alt and Meme coins? on: August 16, 2023, 01:43:40 PM
Whitepaper used to be the selling point of altcoins in my opinion. If it is laid down nicely, although it's technical, investors are going to scrutinized it so see how good the project is. But when the emergence of thousands of altcoin and shitcoins and memecoins, writing Whitepaper is no longer what it used to be as everyone is just copying each other.

It used to be a science because developer take time and pride in writing it. But now, it's very different, these alt and meme coins just hire someone to write for them for a cheap price.
I don't know which era is this is what you are referring to, as there are ton of copies of whitepapers even during ico era. Most of them jut didn't catch on as they got caught and red trusted in bitcointalk for plagiarizing whitepapers, so people wouldn't buy them.

These days scammers with half a brain are using AI to forge all sorts of nonsense that sounds like a generic whitepaper with buzzwords. And since they don't need writers from fiverr to do that, they are using people from fiverr to organize crowded social media channels with fake followers.
