1021  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 04, 2023, 09:44:53 AM
BTC so been playing on stake for 3 years.
Last Sunday my balance went from 8 k to 10k I got phishing mail and I clicked thinking it was legit bonus as I was nearing level up.

I was phished and my funds were gambled on 3 bets.
I was surprised why hacker didn't cashout. May be 2FA.

But biggest surprise was phishing link received after certain amount reached. Could hacker potentially be scanning wallet and only trying to scam for bigger account?

Could they be getting too much success that they just decide to act only after certain amount level is reached.

I wont doubht that because I am not the first one being phished and funds stolen/misused. I see time to time victims and stake does not try to improve its security or they don't care about their players at all.

After loosing funds I was so angry and try every avenue to acknowledge Eddie and their tech support but I havent even gotten 1 reply from them yet.

Just venting and warning other users that stake.com is not safe and more certainly they don't care if their security is poor. They will just say account security is players responsibility.

Be safe out there and try to avoid suck irresponsible site.

Peace .
So you did get phished by someone with fake url containing clone of stake casino or what? How is this the fault of the casino? I am geniuely interested why do you think that is.
If someone steals your car keys and your car, it isn't car company's fault. Or if you get our bank card stolen with pin number, is that fault of the bank if your money is being withdrawn from the account?

So what i am having trouble to understand, is what part of this phishing am you are blaming casino for?

You said that funds were stolen/misused, so which one is it? Were those gambled? As withdraw needs google 2fa it's hard for me to believe that they were withdrawn.
I am not sure how rules for tipping works, but i would assume it isn't an attack vector either.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Unlocks One Billion XRP, What will impact on it’s Price? on: September 04, 2023, 09:27:29 AM
This is the biggest drawback as it doesn't have fixed supply and the developer team can pump and dump the price anytime by either increasing or reducing the supply of XRP according to their benefit. This is an open manipulation and I still wonder why do we even consider this centralized coin as crypto, I think we all should give up on XRP and switch to other promising altcoins.
Doesn't have a fixed supply? Base on Coingecko, and Coinmarketcap, it has 100 Billion supply. So you're saying that both these websites are wrong then? I agree with you that they can pump, and dump it though, but what's making me curious is that, despite of the backlashes that Ripple has received over the past few years, it has been on the top 10 still in terms of Market cap.

This just shows that the community behind it is large, so large that it can't put the project down despite of all the negative thoughts that surrounded the project for the past 3-4 years I guess. Open Manipulation? There's always a chance for that since it's a centralized project so it might be, or it might be not.

I don't know why people here are very pessimistic about Ripple, and it's unlocking of 1 Billion XRP. Are you long term holders of Ripple thus you see this as a negative one. Increase supply, same demand = price goes down yes, but what's the best thing to do when the price is down? Isn't it to buy more to at least grab the opportunity? I mean I'm not a trader, or a holder of Ripple as well, but I believe that this move by them is an opportunity for us investors to get some profit at least. This news didn't have any effect still on XRP right now, but I might take the opportunity to at least buy it for short term if it will have a negative effect.
Yeah, it's fixed total supply, and kentrolla might be right about manipulation, but as it's scheduled inflation by design and they are open about it, it's not illegal market manipulation imho. While total supply is fixed, circulating supply is changing monthly as Ripple is unlocking it more from escrow wallets, when ever they need more funding for themselves.

There was originally 55 billion XRP locked and over 43,4 billion is left for them still to spend. And that's a huge about for markets to absorb if they want to keep the price up.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Glitches still affects online casinos? Or it's the casinos that sucks on: September 04, 2023, 08:57:27 AM
I get this a lot..... you will play for a long time and suddenly an error pops up while you are playing and says... "connection closed due to inactivity" ....image that... while you are playing  Roll Eyes  or it comes up with some "Wallet" error...  Roll Eyes

My conspiracy theory is that the session are terminated by silly errors to prevent the RTP to kick in.... but that is just my own uniformed opinion. (I know each bet are unique... but the RTP are still part of that process)

The code for these games are proprietary, so we will never know what they are doing on their code and on their servers.  Roll Eyes
This is far fetched imho. As it doesn't make much sense to rob money from some random users. They aready have the house edge which is something that that already guarantees them profit in long run. Robbing random people when they win would cause an avalanche of complaints and instantly affect the reputation of that casino. Trust of the customers takes years to build and it takes only one day to destroy it completely.

Reputation is the most important things casinos could have to bring them income.

And obviously most of the people are withdrawing winnings all the time. I think this is just a case of confirmation bias.
1024  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: September 04, 2023, 08:46:12 AM
I checked your policies from tos etc and everything looks legit so far.

That platform token interests me. I am assuming i am "mining" it by gambling? Does the size of my airdrop depend on how much i gamble and on which games?
Also it would be nice to read a whitepaper, or any paper about tokenomics and everything about it to make a decision if it's good enough reason to gamble in your casino before it launches.

Site looks sleek, legit, it has fast response time and clear gui. I am intrigued, which is rare for me with new casinos.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OnlyFans owner collects $45 million as dividends because of ETH investment on: September 04, 2023, 08:31:03 AM
Ain't Michael Saylor doing the same thing with his MicroStrategy company?
It does work according to him as long as you have the right number of invested cryptocurrencies and of course the money. I think he explained it well with one of his interviews and I actually learned a lot of things from that. A big chunk of the investors money are all going to Bitcoin and I believe most of his investors agreed at what he did.
From taxations to other things that cryptocurrencies can do unlike just letting it die with fiat. There's really a huge difference and I think OnlyFans did the right thing too if ever they made a more money by investing in Ethereum.
I haven't heard that microstrategy had ever bought ETH. Saylor was/is a huge bitcoin maxi whale that bought like 30k btc when it was only under $4 per btc.
It's true that he reportedly has said that he regrets not investing to eth instead. And apparently doesn't like other BTC maxis anymore.
And i can totally understand why he regrets it especially now when he could stake eth. If he would sell his bitcoin, it would take forever if he doesn't want to crash the market,
but if he would buy eth with his profits he could gain probably hundreds of millions dollars per year just by staking it.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PEPE's $16M Nightmare: Ex-Team Under Fire on: September 04, 2023, 06:07:41 AM
This is sad because they were a team but what can you do when the other people don't have the same mindsets, especially the same goals as you.

Those people remained hoping they would be loyal and would help each other to improve their project to the point it could keep up with their competitors in the crypto market. This is a big lesson for all of them because when money is involved, only a few will stay loyal and remain.
Well i am not sure what sort of mindset you are talking about, but i am certain that 99.9% of the holders were looking to get rich with it. So in that sense they had same mind set. Only difference between most of the investors and these guys is the fact that they had an opportunity to do this, and i am guessing most of the investors would take same opportunity in a heart beat. Crypto scene isn't a community full of altruists, but more of a community full of opportunists.

Leaving an altcoin and selling secretly premined coins was a common scam, when we still had coins and not tokens, and this sort of thing was happening all the time. Devs were pseudonymous and left the project when they had their share of money.

Now that it's happening in a whole different scale i am surprised that it isn't happening more as the amount of money should lure in lots of talented hustlers and scammers. Also i am uncertain if this even illegal as they never even pretended this to be anything else than a meme token.
1027  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: September 03, 2023, 10:07:37 PM

Just found above tweet which seems to be real and official from Stake at the first sight, but looking at the domain name (using xyz), I think it is a scam attempt. @Stake, can you confirm about this here and maybe announce it in all your social media channel? If it is not yours, dont let your users trapped into scam. It smells like a phishing attempt for me, so I hope no one click the provided link in the above tweet.

Also that twitter account was @Stake_fi not from @stake. That account doesn't exist anymore, i guess twitter acted fast as they should on these cases. I am not sure how you got that to your feed but always check the smaller @twitterusername not only the larget name over it. And obviously urls, like you did.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Spivac - AI prediction on: September 03, 2023, 10:01:29 PM
Farid Basharat vs Kleydson Rodrigues * Basharatwill win by submission in the third round - Sort of Correct - Farid Basharad won but by decision, not by submission
Loosa Ange vs Rhys McKee * McKee will win by knockout in the second round - Wrong - Loosa Ange wins by Decision
Nora Cornolle vs Joselyne Edwards * Edwards will win by knockout in the first round - Wrong - Nora Cornolle wins by decision
Zarah Fairn vs Jacqueline Cavalcanti * Cavalcanti will win with a TKO or a submission. - Sort of Correct - Jacqueline Cavalcanti wins, but not by submission, but via Decision
But this was obvious outcome anyway. so it doesn't count much
Taylor Lapilus vs Caolán Loughran * Lapilus will win by decision - Correct - Taylor Lapilus defeats Caolán Loughran by Decision. Hooray, one totally correct with a one that wasn't obvious!
Morgan Charriere vs Manolo Zecchini * Charriere will win by KO/TKO in the second or third round - Sort of Correct - Morgan Charriere wins via KO/TKO, but in round 1
William Gomis vs Yanis Ghemmouri * Gomis wins by knockout on 2nd round or decision. - Sort of Correct - William Gomis wins via KO/TKO, but in round 3
Volkan Oezdemir vs Bogdan Guskov * Oezdemir wins by KO/TKO in the first or second round. - Sort of Correct - Volkan Oezdemir wins, but via submission in Round 1
Benoit Saint-Denis vs Thiago Moisés * Moisés would win this fight by decision or late stoppage. - Wrong - Benoit Saint-Denis wins via KO/TKO in round 2
Manon Fiorot vs Rose Namajunas * Fiorot will win by decision - Correct - Manon Fiorot defeats Rose Namajunas via 3 Round Decision
Ciryl Gane vs Serghei Spivac * Ciryl Gane wins by knockout in 4th or 5th round or decision - Sort of Correct- Ciryl Gane defeats Serghei Spivac via KO/TKO, but in round 2
Conclusion: I can't make any conclusions from this. I would need extraoridinary large sample size and a bot to make enough predictions.
But it was a fun experiment and i lost money i experimented with, as i did multi bets with that i would have lost with only one error.
Anyway, i'll add this data to my spreadsheet for the future and might do some other game next.
1029  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: September 03, 2023, 09:55:27 PM
Fruits of Elon's top notch branding:

Top ranked free apple appstore apps:

Oh my, threads there, that must hurt, so where's elon?

Oh there it is, 66th right below daily routine planner. I guess this is part of some Elmo's brilliant plan. He wouldn't suck at this, would he?
It must be a brilliant planner because it beats twitter.

Maybe top ranked google play apps looks better:

Threads again in top 3? oh my, that got to hurt. So where's elon?

44 billion dollars ladies and gentlemen. Maybe one day twitter goes over the sleeper fantasy sports. That will be the victory day.
And even Elon just admitted that this could fail like everyone predicted. What a giga brain.

1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 Crypto and It's Targets for Next Bull Run on: September 03, 2023, 09:09:36 PM
All these targets are calculated using Fibonacci Retracement. Consider this a speculation, Thanks.

1. Bitcoin -  $173,805
2. Ethereum - $11,460
3. BNB - $1,190
4. XRP - $8.97
5. ADA - $12.37
6. DOGE - $0.96
7. Solana - $1,367
8. TRX - $0.15
9. MATIC - $7
10. LTC - $361

Those actually look pretty beliveable numbers. Except SOL. I wouldn't mind it creeping to nearly 70x but it's reputation is so tainted already, and the chart doesn't look healthy at all.
Fibonacci Retracement might be a bad metric for looking next ath and especially with that chart. It needs to break out first to even have a hope for recovery, yet it goes sideways.
1031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is KCGI? on: September 03, 2023, 08:45:44 PM
Hey everyone, I just wanted to know more about KCGI 2023. What exactly is it, and what makes it stand out from other trading competitions?
Is it really worth trying?
Winning prize is high but this is just another stupid volume provider competition. Frankly i don't see how these are even still legal. Name one actual stock exchange that would allow something like this.
I would totally get trading competitions that require skill, where the people who en up with most money with the start amount wins. That would be actually interesting. Now it's just the amount of trades that wins. Brining volume to the casino so that they can seem like a high volume exchange.

It's more legit then exchange faking their volume by themselves but it's still misleading and boring.
1032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best nonKYC exchange? on: September 03, 2023, 08:35:51 PM
I'm in the US but I also can use a VPN. Kucoin is now full KYC so I'm looking for a reliable alternative. Any suggestions? I have alot of USDT sitting on the tron network so I need tron support.

You can refer to this list https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5461920.msg62640260#msg62640260 to check what's available CEX that currently doesn't require KYC but most of them is not that high confidence in terms of reputation.

Why not consider using DEX since there's already P2P and AMM exchange that will cover almost same experience on CEX.
I wouldn't count on that list. Just out of curiosity i checked poloniex that was listed as no-kyc, because i know they comply with regulators, like most of the CEXes in the world.
You can find poloniex requirements under:

Quote
3. REGISTRATION PROCESS; IDENTITY VERIFICATION

Even if some CEXes won't require kyc right when you register, it doesn't mean that they wouldn't freeze your account and require kyc in a heartbeat, if they suspect that your accout is linked to criminal activity or that you live in restriced terrority.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Unlocks One Billion XRP, What will impact on it’s Price? on: September 01, 2023, 03:29:13 PM
I just noticed that ripple price fall to almost $0.4 today, it fall than other altcons on my list on the exchange that I am trading. This 1 billion ripple they unlock is just the reason.

Let me see if the coin will fall more in price so that I can gamble with it at a lower price and hold it. If bitcoin will fall to $20000, it will not be easy on altcoins like ripple that will fall more.
This might have been because today at 8:00am UTC there was an evernode airdrop For XRP Holders, so people might have sold right after the airdrop. As waiting for the airdrop is often only reason for not selling before it. And obviously there probably were bunch of leverage shorters just waiting for it. One billion XRP isn't really that much from total supply.

1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn an apartment in a bear market on: September 01, 2023, 11:26:43 AM
Hi all.
I decided to set myself a goal - to save money for an apartment with the help of cryptocurrency. The cost of the apartment is $130,000.
At the moment there are 6000$ in cryptocurrency
My portfolio consists of BTC,ETH,XRP,SOL,DOT,XLM,ADA

Ready to invest $500 per month.
Advise on the best way to fix profits and what kind of cryptocurrency to buy. Now the markets have fallen - it's time to buy.
that would 22x of that money before taxes, which could make the need for growth significantly bigger.

I agree that this is the time to buy i any, but how is your portfolio divided. Because i personally can't see bitcoin raising to over half a million next bullrun. Maybe it does if you are lucky, but for example DOT seems a little random investment in your portfolio, especially when you consider that most crypto hacks have been using bridges. SOL is risky af, and XLM might lack adoption. Ada and XRP might rise even though i see anything so special with them. I don't know if they rise 20x though.

I frankly have no clue if eth has any limits on growing if they scale. So that i find a good investment. Even though it's already high in marketcap.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free promoting a project by managing careless manager! on: September 01, 2023, 11:11:37 AM
Why need to participate bounty:
Because working from bounty you can earn money. Here you can participate in signature, social media all different sectors but all these jobs are not easily available. So you have to work here with time and pain.

You should research in Bounty section where there are many bounties who are running bounties of $500, $1000, $5000, $10000, $15000 dollars. This is not logical at all because it is a very small amount where unlimited hunter can work. So after a few months of work you get $2, $5, $10, $30, $50.

A manager is getting good money as his remuneration but a hunter is just wasting time. So make yourself experts to work on bounty and abandon the bounty of such a budget.
Fell free to quota because of my little experience.
Then sometimes they are valuating the bounty in terms of token sale price, yet the presale price is -90%, or fraction that's given away to dump is just too large for markets to handle.
And always check how high they are valuating the tokensale in terms of marketcap.
It doesn't make any sense to work with something that already has too high marketcap from the start. Value can only drop.

Learn what sustainable tokenomics have been in the past and always check tokenomics.

Sometimes they are even saying that they pay in ETH, BUSD or USDT, but only if after the sale after they collect the money. Which is a blatant obvious lie to anyone who has been here before.

Because:
A: bounty managers don't have the escrow money that token sale hasn't raised yet. And we should trust that team would pay if they raised enough money.
B: By doing this, team is treating you as a gullible fool. That doesn't give a good sign about the company values or future in general.
C: They most likely don't raise enough and you end up working for nothing.

And obviously, always choose a reputable bounty manager.

It might be a good idea to do some parlays as well? What do you think?
Well i used small bets and did several combinations of multi bets with all of them.
I even used exact rounds and winning methods with some of them. I can't recommend doing it as the winning change is less then slim, but it was for fun anyway and to keep my interest up on this.

I have no expectations to win, but if i do, i would get my money back with pretty sweet multipliers.
If i get decent results i will try this again, maybe with some other sport.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 01, 2023, 10:03:25 AM
What is the one behaviour you noticed in a gambler and  you dislike it? You don't need to have a reason for disliking it but you just do.

As for me I dislike when gamblers complain of their losses, meanwhile you hear them complain when they are getting winnings.

What about you, what do you dislike ?
People that are:

- Telling everyone that they are only winning to hide their losses, and tricking more people to gamble as a solid alternative to work, by telling only upside of things.
- Blaming their losses and gambling habit in general on anyone but themselves. Most of the time it's casinos and their "rigged" machines.
- Finding excuses to gamble more than planned. And to justify their own gambling.
- Playing money that's not their own.
- People who use vpn, but are citizens of restricted countries and are blame the casino when they get caught.

Many of these come from addiction, and to blame addicted is like blame someone for being sick. However addicted people have responsibility to seek help and some people refuse to do that.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Spivac - AI prediction on: September 01, 2023, 09:43:23 AM
AI prediction of 2.9.2023 UFC Fight Night

After ChatGPT came out, i've seen some threads about AI and if it could help in gambling.
Back then, AI:s couln't access to internet so they couldn't find latest stats to compare, but now it's a whole new ball game.
While i am highly skeptical about results i thought i might give it a go to try it.

I admit that this is a fraction of any sample size that would be needed to come to any conclusion if it's working but i thought it would be fun little experiment.

I chose Bing AI chat creative mode as my tool, as it seems to be most efficient free tool for this kind of stuff. I tried also google bard, while it had some insightful opinions about some matches, it didn't have any data about most of the fighters so it couln't make any predictions. Basically my prompt for ai was "if these two would fight, who would win and how, and can you give me details how you came that conclusion"

I haven't check if the data is legit, as AI's have an issue of inventing things that doesn't exist (lying), you should take the results with the grain of salt. Prediictions doubly so. I myself did some small multi bets from these predicions. Not too much because i don't want to trust my money on this silly experiment, but some to have some skin in the game.

Full details were too long and specific to post in here, they contained links to articles, records and statistics, fighting styles, advantages and disadvantages, etc, so i asked it to summarize it for me afterwards. But i put links to original long answers and they are most interesting part of this and definitely worth checking out.

Links to full, detailed answer won't work immediately, you have to wait after a click a bit for them to appear in bing search page.

I will update the results next to prediction recap at the end to see if any of these were even remotely correct. I'll do it Sunday, as i am offline whole Saturday.

But here we go; summarized predictions about that fight night ->

- I think Cavalcanti would win over Fairn by using her speed, versatility, and conditioning. She would be able to avoid Fairn's strikes, take her down, and finish her with a TKO or a submission.

- Loughran is the current Cage Warriors Bantamweight Champion who has a record of 8-0-0. He is a powerful striker who has won five of his eight fights by knockout.
- I think that Lapilus has a slight edge over Loughran in this fight because he has more experience, more tools, and home advantage.
- I predict that Lapilus will win the fight by unanimous decision after three rounds of action. He will outpoint Loughran on the feet and avoid his submissions on the ground.

- Charriere has more experience, wins, and skills than Zecchini. He has never been knocked out or submitted.
- Zecchini is also a good striker, but he has less diversity and defense. He has been knocked out and submitted once.
- I think Charriere will win by KO/TKO in the second or third round, but Zecchini could also surprise him. Both fighters are talented and motivated.

Manon "The Beast" Fiorot
vs
Rose "Thug" Namajunas

Bing AI:
Quote

- Manon Fiorot and Rose Namajunas are two top female fighters in the UFC who will fight in Paris on September 2, 2023.
- Fiorot is a kickboxer with a 10-1 record and 5-0 in the UFC. Namajunas is a former champion with an 11-5 record and 2 wins over Zhang Weili.
- I think Fiorot will win by decision because she has more size, strength, and momentum than Namajunas. Namajunas may have trouble with Fiorot's pressure and power.

As i asked for best guess, bing refused to take a guess, so i started a new session, where it for some reason guessed:

Quote
Ciryl Gane is the favorite to win the fight against Serghei Spivac. He has better speed, striking, and defense than Spivac.
Serghei Spivac is the underdog in the fight. He has good grappling, wrestling, and submission skills. He has never been knocked out in his career.
I think Ciryl Gane would win the fight by knockout or decision, but Serghei Spivac could also surprise him with his ground game and chin.

When that falling wedge breaks, I think it's gonna explode.
When is that happening? Not today that's for sure as it's aready dropped from the video's $0.0961 ro $0.09298.
So i am not seeing any breakout. It has been dropping for 2 years now so i won't be holding my breath that it would breakout when bitcoin just dropped a bit.
If you think it's a good project, then you shoud definitely buy some as it hasn't been this cheap ever.

1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Altcoins Investment Experience on: August 31, 2023, 07:10:06 PM
I did invest in lots of altcoins and i received many tokens from bounties as reward. I experienced that, most of the tokens turns into shitcoin or dead after a few months. Some Altcoins performed very good for a certain time then all of those lost 90-95% of values and still traded on exchange with so called volume. Thus process is continued. Even top altcoins also replaced by new altcoins. 2017 vs 2023.

Moral: I think BTC and ETHEREUM is better option for investment, Can be trusted blindly, profitable for long. Low Ranked Altcoins, Memecoins and shitcoins are just headache and reason of huge losses in long time. But anyone can invest his money wherever they want.
Most of the time you are right. And if you need money, you should totally move your bounties to eth or btc. But that token you got immediately moons, just remember that it's not going to be next eth. You are totally ok selling it yearly. Or if you believe it's going to do pepe like move, just sell most of it and leave a moonbag. Just in case it will moon.

Long time ago i saw one altcoin in charts that was mooning. I wondered that where i had heard that name. It turned out i had their bounty in one of my wallets and i had totally forgotten it. That can happen too especially in altcoin season. Most of the time it's not happening though.
