1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 18, 2023, 05:38:42 PM

So, question to you, did you ever consider paying taxes on your gambling winnings, or deduct the taxes with the losses you've created? If not, what is the reasoning behind it?
Not i only consider, but i do pay my taxes for gains. It would be a rude awakening to find out that you are being accused of tax fraud. Sentences for it are pretty bad and most likely you couldn't make enough profits to pay your way out of jail, as they would charge interest as well.

Even if you have avoided taxes so far, you should consider the fact that they might catch you later on for years of tax fraud.

Sometime ago, I came across a post where someone raised an issue on how do we know that the casino isn't set to beat us at their own games, unfortunately, you can't tell. but these casinos are governed by different bodies to protect customers right in win win and loss. we still can't tell if this is true though. some thing you can check before getting to bet in some casino.
I am not sure what you mean by this. Casinos are literally set to beat us, that's called house edge, without it casinos wouldn't make any profit. This has existed since casinos have existed and they are very open about it. House edge is small but they are in it for a long run so huge wins are counted into it.

Rest of your advices are pretty good for anyone really, no matter if you are starting or old player.

Are there also good online platforms or betting sites that have good last minute betting options for matches/games?
I often bet closer to match, as there are more options how to bet the closer the match is, but i am not waiting until last minute unless i am betting live, which is something i often do. But i do this only if i am sure about my internet connection and can watch the match/race.

But if you are talking about how close to the end you can make those bets, i wouldn't wait too close at the end of match, as that betting window might get closed before you can make that "sure" bet you think you are winning with.
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: September 17, 2023, 10:24:06 PM
Pepe had good hype months before and now situation is changed and focus is shifted to another altcoin. Even you mentioned the pepe price 4 months ago and still price is same even down more from the price you mentioned. That means if you already holding pepe, you aren’t in profit but in lose. I agree that people made profit from pepe during hype but hype is end and so pepe Isn't worth to invest now.

Next support is something like -50% from here, and we are in $0.0000006207 Which is just a stupid number to even type. And i don't think that support holds. If it drops lower, it takes forever to come back up if their community is even alive at that point. One would think they would rise with the rest when the bullrun really starts, but it's really hard to see it rising as bear season bottom for others that are part of next bullrun has come already. And it's not a bottom for pepe yet.

You don't need anything but a Telegram application. Head over to https://wallet.tg/, it is their official website, click Open Wallet, and the link will direct you to the bot within the application. The wallet is available on the desktop application, I haven't tried it on mobile yet, but since it is based on bot Telegram's feature, I think the wallet will be able to be used on mobile too.

This wallet is a custodial wallet, so it seems there is no way to save your own key. Also, it requires your mobile number to be linked with Telegram in order to use the wallet.
Well technically don't need the telegram application, in fact you never needed it as the wallet has existed for a long time not integrated to telegram in any way.
And i am not sure how they integrated it now but they used telegram bot for a long time to trade TON so that's not new.

I used to follow them but the way their voting played out was horrible. Masses make the worst decisions when they want to rise value fast.
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Comparison between the Year vs Criteria of the Airdrops on: September 17, 2023, 10:06:56 PM
These days lot of users farming airdrops using multiple wallets. So the criteria will be difficult for this year.

2020 - Airdrops for all. No criteria
-cut-
I am not sure what "No criteria" airdrops you are referring to, but all the airdrops i've seen had some criteria. At minimum it was wallet activity, where you hold some coins, or used some platform with your wallet. Playing with NFTs payed lot for me in airdrops later on. Especially with platforms that are already having users like eth can be rewarded just by holding some erc20 or er721 tokens by dropping some other tokens to them. But even them you often had to know how to retrieve them, as they wouldn't drop those for doing nothing.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 17, 2023, 09:37:50 PM
I've been following a few gambling channels on Twitter and Telegram, and whenever they share a screenshot of a bet slip or winning ticket, they occasionally also include the balance of their wallet. I've seen this happen several times, which made me wonder why they don't choose to withdraw their winnings instead of storing them in their gambling site wallet. Why do they leave that much in there, or is it simply for show off? A gambling expert should know better than to save their money on casino websites.

I always withdraw all my winnings and only deposit the right amount i want to use to gamble whenever i want to play a game. I’d like to know everyone’s opinion on which way is better and which one do you practice in managing your funds on gambling sites.
I frankly see my money being safer in most respected casinos like stake.com, then in sitting in my personal wallet. But i don't keep all my money in one casino. I often keep rest of them divided in other casinos and legit exchanges like binance and coinbase. Because when i don't store my money in stablecoins, if any of those gets hacked lethally, value of my coins would drop anyway, so it probably wouldn't hurt to lose some to hack if the value of those coins would drop instantly radically anyway.
1008  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does power really corrupt? on: September 17, 2023, 09:31:26 PM
People with physical power don't have it enough that it could corrupt them. They are still bound by same laws as the rest of us. And being best at some sport has nothing to do with corruption either, because you can't use that power to be dishonest or make a criminal offense by being good at soccer.

People who have power over others can be corrupted, and often are. That's why transparency and regulations are so important. I know that many crypto fanatics flinch when regulations are mentioned, but they are set for a good reason and one of them is to get rid of corruption.

I am also confirming that i have been paid weekly without any problems.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cogitex: The Cryptocurrency That Will Propel Humanity to Mars on: September 16, 2023, 10:46:01 AM
Well at least you don't have lack of pompous and outlandish advertising.

With under $400 marketcap, you are not going to mars. You are not going even paying for the beer needed to keep that delusion up. Or to pay eth fees with the profits you get from this, which is the reason why this is a bep-20 token.

This is why Bep-20 scams are targeting most gullible poor people out there.

Just make a meme-token. Least they are honest on what they are.

if only investment I have is bitcoin
-cut-
It might be controversial to say that don't only bet in bitcoin in a bitcointalk forum. But there's a saying about putting all of your eggs in one basket, and that applies even if that only basket is bitcoin. It's just common sense. Anything can happen. Especially with bitcoin.

1) since I'm ill should I show my family my seed phrase
2) if I die who will take over my bitcoin since nobody in my family knows my seed phrase.
You can set up a will and testament, that includes a memory stick, containing all the information on how to access your bitcoin.
Or you can just show them your seed phrase if you are sure they are not going to misplace it, show it to anyone, steal your bitcoin, or start to change their views, if they see the the price of bitcoin crashing or mooning.

If you don't share the fact that you have bitcoin, likely no one will know about it and it will be lost forever after someone formats your harddrive.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram launches crypto currency wallet. on: September 16, 2023, 10:32:00 AM
that's what i was thinking here. these scammers have always the guts of sending you unsolicited PMs. i don't know how telegram will curb down those fraudsters. for sure, a lot will be screwed on this app. better deal to a person that you personally know of and know his username in telegram. but if you just happen to know it via app, doubt the motive of such user.
if nothing else, this move may increase the number of crypto users, however, as you said, this may not be good as scammers will proliferate more with their scamming techniques.
Amount of scammers has been only rising in telegram, depending in which channels you lurk, not to mention if you make a mistake of saying something in some of those channels. I've been contacted scammers from same channel for a year now just because apparently i asked something year ago. I haven't been part of that channel forever and was added to it by someone else before i changed my settings so that no one can add me to anywhere.

I can't believe they are basically giving more ammo to scammers, by making it easier for them to scam us.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban's Metamask was hacked on: September 16, 2023, 10:17:18 AM
Cuban was unaware of the wallet movements when approached by DL News and later said, “Someone got me for 5 eth.”
INot sure why they bother to even mention 5 eth when in reality the real value was in other tokens?

“I went on MetaMask for the first time in months. They must have been watching,” he told DL News.
What is he talking about? Why do he think anyone was watching him? Sounds like he has fell for some generic hack and likely the hacker didn't even know who owned the wallet, but drained the wallet via bot. The fact that hacker needed to move 0.1 eth back to move other tokens out speaks for some automatic wallet hack.

How can someone who has over $870,000 worth of crypto across his metamask wallet be moved by a promise of eth, which will be around $8k +? This one is really on him, and he should not blame anyone for his mistake. Who knows, this could just be some cheap hackers who don't even know the amount he had in their wallet before they made their hacking attempts, because if they had known, I believe they could have used a higher amount in order to lure him in to the scam.
They stolen 5 eth from him among the other tokens that were way more valuable, he wasn't lured in for promise of 5 eth, at least from what i can tell from the article and etherscan.
1014  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project feedback on: September 15, 2023, 06:31:48 PM
Good idea, i subscribed, but i have few questions. How do prevent people from joining with several emails and multiplying their changes to win? Also i am guessing the winner will be chosen in some transparent way without giving up everyone's email? Because i am guessing people wouldn't like to expose their email to crypto scammers.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Great Crypto Heist: Alphapo's $31 Million Nightmarish Ordeal on: September 15, 2023, 06:23:26 PM
In my opinion, I believe that enabling withdrawal whitelisting, where possible, is a smart move when using centralized platforms. By setting up this feature, you gain the ability to specify a list of wallet addresses that are authorized for fund withdrawals.

You mean that it would be set up by the user? That would only secure your money in case someone hacks your account. When the exchange itself gets hacked, or exchange exit scames your money in your cex wallet will not be so safu. But in general i agree that it's wise to implement most of the security measures that CEX is offering.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram launches crypto currency wallet. on: September 15, 2023, 06:19:44 PM
I don't see this as big news, but it could be worth time to stock some TONcoin. It's been reacting slowly to the news. I am assuming that the community has heard rumors about this for a while now and they are stocked up, so depending how many media sites this will reach, others might buy it too. Like me.

- High quality customer support to help you get exactly what you need (concerned I invested too much in this!)
-cut-
Then again if you don't invest enough it doesn't serve any purpose.
I don't even understand why casinos and exchanges bother to save money by hiring people who don't speak fluent english or don't know how the casino works. They just end up reading q/a sheets and if anything goes deeper than that, like in most cases, they just need to ask the people in charge. Which will be all the time. These workers will be replaced by AI in near future, there's no question about it. Only few real people will stay on that job.

-cut-
apply a cooling-off or self-exclusion period for player safety
-cut-
This is really not a choice on your part. Casinos are required by law to offer an option for self exclusion.

-cut
Look forward to hearing from you.
-cut-
All good angles, nothing we haven't seen before i am afraid so you will have a lot of competition. You could have some traffic offering bonuses to new players, as lot of people in here are looking for those and have used up joining bonuses of older casinos.

One thing i've wanted for so long is for some crypto casino to offer actual poker tournaments. But i guess that's harder to implement as i haven't see much of those.
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream coins or altcoins? on: September 15, 2023, 05:55:58 PM
Altcoins is a wide spectrum of things from garbage to somewhat interesting tech. So no one can really say that you should invest to altcoins without naming what altcoins you should invest into. As even the top marketcap coins in there vary a lot in quality. Some of them will totally die off and there will come new one replacing most of them.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins are apparently more important then real world value on: September 15, 2023, 05:52:29 PM
Hello everyone, I am the founder of AssetX, A project that aims to tokenize real world assets using blockchain technology. I believe that this is a revolutionary idea that can create a positive impact on the world by enabling more transparency, efficiency, and liquidity in the asset markets.

However, when I tried to share my project with you on Announcements (Altcoins), it was moved to Tokens (Altcoins) subcategory, I removed all details of the coin and just posted about my project, Which was then again moved immediately even though I did not mention any details about the coin. I contacted the moderator, but I did not receive any reply.

I am wondering why this happened. Is it because blockchain is only for meme and shitcoins? What about the projects that want to use this technology for good? Don’t they deserve more attention and support from the community?
Yeah it's a revolutonary idea, but how are you going to crack it when there are bunch of geniuses that have been working years on this to create suitable tech? Tech that isn't even ready yet. Generic ERC-20 token is not going to solve the regulatory issues, nor it would attract any serious players because you can front run those tokens.

Also Physical ownership rights won't transfer by moving some erc-20 tokens. There's no court in the world that would back up those pseudonymoys deals, Permissionless token is not a confirmation of legal ownership.

I see there are also bunch of stocks in your web page, on "create your own asset portfolio"

If you are just offering synthetic stocks to trade, there's nothing revolutionary about that. People have tried that for ages and it doesn't even serve any good purpose as you are not trading real stocks. Also CEXes got in trouble by doing that.
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: September 14, 2023, 10:49:36 PM
Are you collecting low cap altcoins for the bull market? It sounds like you think low cap altcoins can easily make 100x profits. I don't think so and even if the supply of a good quality project is high then you will get good profit there. Many new investors tend to follow supply more. You should know that there are many low cap altcoins that can't even sail the market in bull seas.

Yeah, sure, but it's risky and you have to know what you are doing and have ton of luck. And getting your investment out with some profits before you leave the some of the bag untouched rising for the possible moon. But one thing i've noticed is that. You might get few 1000x in the whole time you are doing them, and they might be worth more than year of trading high cap coins.

But most of the time you will lose, and just be glad if you get out before you lose 100% of the initial investment. Because total crash happens more than 90% of the time
