If you participate in these ponzi scams in full knowledge that the 'profit' you are seeking is that which is taken from later investors by the operators, who will share some of their 'profit' with you as a reward for helping their scam through your early participation, you are as guilty of theft as they are. Let me ask you something:

Where did that 8.5BTC 'profit' come from if it wasn't money stolen from the last depositors in the queue?

No, what you do is file a complaint explaining that you have lost money to a website which fraudulently misrepresented itself and claimed to be providing a legitimate service which you have since discovered was nothing but a ponzi-based scam.

That will be sufficient for the complaint to be sent to a department which handles financial fraud. As has been said, there are enough cases of these ponzi schemes now being pursued by law enforcement to warrant the effort of making a complain. Particularly so in this case as the website is still live, which suggests there is potential for more people to be defrauded, adding impetus to any investigation.

Which part of, "They are all ponzi scams" is hard to understand?

HYIPS don't sell anything, they don't produce anything, they simply take money that people are sending to them and use it to pay earlier 'investors', hence, PONZI!

In fact, HYIPS are worse than admitted Ponzi 'doublers' because many of the 'investors' might not actually realise that they aren't investing in a legit operation. But that's ok, because once I've posted a suitable warning they *will* know.

That way it will help to stop naive users from making a mistake and hopefully discourage people who do know what these operations really are from participating in them and hoping to turn a 'profit' from the misfortune of other people. The operators of these scams absolutely depend on your participation in order to make them function as intended, which, if you are in full knowledge of this fact, makes you an accomplice.

There are legitimate gaming, gambling and investment services you can use. There is no justifiable reason to support the scams in this sub-forum through your participation in them.

I didn't say you couldn't play, I just said that in knowing full well where you hope your 'profit' to come from, your choice to participate clearly proves you to be an untrustworthy person.

Getting tagged with red doesn't affect you, it just makes sure that anybody else who deals with you in future knows that you don't particular care how you make money, even if it is stolen from other users.
