1901  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN going up or down on: February 09, 2016, 04:25:11 PM
i think the price will remain in the range of $360-$399 for another month before we can see a decent price increase. my guess $395 as the peak for this week.

I think we can reach $400 at this week
it's a fair rate for me to sell my bitcoin... more people try to compare ETH and bitcoin, the ETH price at this time keep moving up but im never trust other altcoin will be survive

only BITCOIN

i certainly hope we will touch the $400 price level this week, but i think there is too much selling pressure that will push back the price when it comes really close to $400. regarding eth, i am not impressed at all. i have seen several altcoins have had insanely high volumes because it was hyped up a lot. the price went to the moon and every body kept buying at the peak because their greed took over. you know what happens then....
1902  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: February 09, 2016, 03:49:40 PM
in this kind of market gold can act as a safe haven at a resistance of $1191 in the global markets. bitcoin is also kind of a same haven but it might top out at $500.

top out at $500? if you mean for the short term, then it makes sense. but the long term we'll most definitely break through the magical $1000 barrier again. i know $1000 is very far away from the current price of $374, but i think we'll manage to hit $1000 before december 2017.

1904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 09, 2016, 03:42:11 PM
the volume right now is insanely high, but i think it will peak at 0.01 btc before some large holders dump the price down significantly.
1905  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: February 08, 2016, 02:41:42 PM
yeah its very much safe....safer than others ways of getting rich

at this point bitcoin is not a get rich tool anymore. it could be if the price goes up to above $5000 at some point in the future if you have bought yourself plenty of bitcoins at current price. but it requires you to have a huge load of patience. it can literally take 10 to 20 years.
1906  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2016, 02:38:27 PM
Yeah, it would be good for bitcoin to be more known, but not too much - governments have already started to take notice, and in Europe are trying to regulate it.
Yes now many are supporting bitcoin both of the people and local governments of each country.
It was very good for the development of bitcoin in this year.

governments of each country are supporting bitcoin? from all the governments of the wealthy countries, name one that does support bitcoin... i think you mean the blockchain.
1907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: February 08, 2016, 02:35:28 PM
can you exchange bitcoin for fiat? check

can you use bitcoin to buy things? check

can you use bitcoin to invest in things? check

can you use bitcoin to use it as a store of wealth? check

bitcoin can do everything that "real money" as fiat can do, plus a lot more. bitcoin is most definitely real money to me.
1908  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: February 08, 2016, 01:36:41 PM
Buying just 1 bitcoin won't make you rich or poor, so you can go ahead and get it. You never know if it won't get to 10.000$.

If the bitcoin community can reach consensus on many fronts and the bitcoin is developed continuously, the price will not go to zero.

the price won't go to zero at all. the block size drama is just something we have to fight ourself through this year. if there is a solution/agreement this year, then the price will get a massive boost. if not, then the price will most likely just be block halving driven the comming months.
1909  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: February 08, 2016, 01:33:14 PM
Traders love regular user to be always on a "Buy Time" mode so they can earn with the price difference and someone will always buy their sell order at whatever price.

it may seem that the average trader will buy and the price goes up in result, but in fact, it doesn't do anything to the price. only whales and other wealthy investors can make the price move. we as normal traders can't even make a dent in the price.

exactly. but bitcoin itself is on a stable way up. which means there is an overall price growth that nobody can prevent because it is the natural respond to more adoptions.

yep, if you look at the all time chart, then you can see that the price has gone very nicely. but most people look at the lows and the highs that bitcoin has reached, and thus people think the price isn't going anywhere. that's why peaks and sharp dumps don't matter that much to me. they only matter to me for trading purposes because it allows me to make some nice profits throughout the year.
1910  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What year will we hit $100,000? on: February 08, 2016, 01:28:12 PM
I don't think we can even hit $10000. At $1000, most will go to altcoins as a cheaper alternative plus there will be a lot of Sell orders once it hits a thousand bucks.

the $10,000 price level looks like it is a million miles away at this point, let alone $100,000. but i find the $10,000 to be somewhat of a realistic price target after 10-15 years. bitcoin will either go up to insanely high price levels, or it will end up being nearly worthless. i definitely think the first scenario will be reality at some point in the future.
1911  Economy / Speculation / Re: So China accepting bitcorn. on: February 08, 2016, 01:24:47 PM
I heard china is generating its own digital currency. This might risk china users at times. China won't ban bitcoin as more people are working for it but sure it will try to make people use their own country digital currency. This might have effect on the price of bitcoin and bitcoins growth.

if china really wants to force people to use their digital currency, then they can easily do so. i only think people will choose bitcoin as main currency because of the decentralized nature of bitcoin. can't see it having that much effect on the bitcoin price.
1912  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm dumping my bitcoins so you should on: February 07, 2016, 02:39:28 PM
im not dumping, i believe in bitcoin and i think that the price of it will grow in a few years
I'm not selling/dumping either, i won't sell at 300$ or 400$ i'll start selling at 800$ no matter how much time it takes.  Cheesy

Well I just hope for you the halving won't have big consequences on the price then ^^

I find it understandable to sell right now. Price is rather high and halving had probably already priced in. What will happen after halving when everyone will have dumped their coins they were saving for the halving?

the block halving is definitely not priced in at this moment. i am quite sure that we can see the price gain 75-100% this year from the current $380 price level. which means that there is still a lot money to be made. and if there is an agreement about increasing the blocksize from 1mb to 2mb this year, then we'll see the price incease even more.
1913  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2016, 01:51:30 PM
I think that 2016 could being the year of Bitcoin, because it's already growing up nowadays and also we wait the big halving event this next summer

every year bitcoin growing
and im sure this year bitcoin can beat dollar again

in 2015 bitcoin growing more than +30% im sure this year bitcoin will be grow +40%

in what way will bitcoin beat the us dollar (again)? us dollar is a main currency tied to all other currencies in the world. don't you mean that bitcoin will turn out to generate more interest than other investments and fiat currencies as for example the euro? if that's what you mean, then yes. bitcoin will give you the highest return. it was the best in 2015 and will also be the best in 2016.
1914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am so glad that BTC is rallying again. on: February 07, 2016, 01:46:11 PM
If we look at large Chinese BTC mining farms, we can have doubt on BTC price going up. Each large BTC mining farm can make BTC price a little lower  Wink

chinese mining farms can make the bitcoin price go a little lower? these chinese mining farms have been saving up so many coins in their entire existence, that they can easily dump the price back to sub $50 price levels, if not lower.
1915  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: February 07, 2016, 01:31:19 PM
I think that people are getting scared that the price of Bitcoin is too stable. Not many people are selling though.
It is good as before halving we only need some good buy force rather than people being panic and selling. It seems those panicers have already emptied their coins, now we will see pump good one. Shocked

panic sellers barely run out of coins as there are waaay too many of them. when the price goes down, they panic sell at a loss, and when the price is going up, they buy back at a much higher price. and when the price comes down directly after that, they will sell at a loss once again. these people don't seem to learn anything from their mistakes as they keep losing and losing. and the most funny thing is that they will blame bitcoin for their wrong doings. lol.
1916  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe in Crisis on: February 07, 2016, 01:26:45 PM
In a case of refugee there is possible to say a lot.But one of the truth is where is rich islamic countrys help and  support.Europe didnt inspire even war in Syria. It is war between RUssia and USA.Now  both nation very happy selling weapon all over the world, even to his own citzens becouse of terrorism

If the Europe does not follow the US guidance, there will be no war in Syria. There will be no refugee.

europe is nothing more than a muppet that does everything the usa is saying. here in the netherlands we are getting flooded with refugees. they get a house here, money from the state..... netherlands is welcomming them with open arms while it's cutting down on costs for its normal people. it's pure nonsense and will only get worse.
1917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Competition of BTC on: February 07, 2016, 01:15:34 PM
Bitcoin always have competition, but it some points Bitcoin is yeaser way to invest or sold high price. Biggest competitors are Litecoin or Dogecoin.

at this point there is not a single altcoin that offers bitcoin some competition. bitcoin is light years ahead of any coin in terms of adoption, money being invested in the technology that powers bitcoin and so on. i think if something happens with bitcoin in the future, of course i don't hope it will, then i am fairly sure that litecoin will get most of the attention of the community.

Europe wants end to anonymous Bitcoin transactions

Money-laundering powers seen as crimp on terror funds if virtual currencies offer (unlikely) help

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/02/03/ec_virtual_currency_regulation_suggestion/

stupid eu .. they are falling out with each other over refrugee crisis ..they are attacking bitcoin for hiding this.. but they wont succeed in this.. bitcoin is unstoppable..

the entire world will try to squeeze out bitcoin to try stop its growth. let them do whatever they want, and let them implement as many new anti bitcoin rules as they want. as you say, bitcoin won't stop. it will continue to grow. i only wonder what will happen if bitcoin becomes really mainstream. the goverments will surely go insane.
1920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $20 again on: February 06, 2016, 02:18:45 PM
I do not believe that if the price of bitcoin be $ 20 for 1 BTC, it would be very boring, maybe everyone will leave bitcoin, I think it is a number that is meaningless on the Internet  Sad

The bitcoin will reach $20 when there is no consensus between the bitcoin community and there are hard forks of bitcoin and 2 bitcoin exist, one of them reach reach $20 or lower.

I read somewhere that the Core team will implement larger block size by April this year. So it will not be a big problem.

it can literally take more than a year if everything goes as slow as things are right now. but if there is an agreement reached and the larger blocks are implemented, then i am quite sure it will give the bitcoin price a huge boost. that plus the comming block halving will definitely cause the price to peak somewhere this year. but then there must be a block size increase being implemented THIS year.
