1901  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular, Oldest & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC | Instant on: May 03, 2017, 04:15:20 PM
Exactly. I think setting a limit like no more than 12 registered accounts from one IP address would be enough to not worry about abusers ever more. Or am I missing something?
IP limitation was never a good option to prevent abuse of any sort. Using VPN or any kind of proxy will defectively render this security feature useless.
If the faucet farming is really that harmful to the site then the best way to prevent faucet abuse is to limit faucet somehow.
For example: Faucet should only generate really low amount of satoshis, and grow over time with more wagered BTC.

This is a good idea and something like this is implemented on Primedice, but unfortunately your faucet starts growing only after 10 BTC is wagered. I think it would be nice if we had at least a small addition to our faucet after say every 0.1 wagered. I mean even 1-2 satoshis plus to your initial faucet would make you feel that you are making some kind of progress.
1902  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Japanese exchanges increasing on: May 03, 2017, 03:57:00 PM
This is just the beginning. The other countries are going to take notice of what the Japanese government did. I am sure that China and Russia are carefully studying the implications. And trust me, if China recognizes BTC, it is going to be huge

It would be interesting to know what are the real reasons for the Japanese government to be so loyal toward Bitcoin. Regarding other countries, Russia is highly unlikely to follow Japan's lead, at least, not to the degree of accepting Bitcoin as a rival currency. Further, I warn people not to be too enthusiastic about governments finally "noticing" Bitcoin. It is not given that the "acceptance" that these governments may be looking and going for will make many Bitcoin users happy

It is not even clear as of yet what the Japanese government is actually up to

Yes, we can't know what the Japanese government is up to, but regardless, they are already doing a good thing for bitcoin. I think the rise we are witnessing nowadays is in a good measure due to the fact that the Japanese government has recently started treating bitcoin legally as a form of payment.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: May 03, 2017, 03:41:24 PM

Actually I bet manually even 9900X because if you are lucky you will hit it in few first bets. Running an automated betting for this purpose will leave you with nothing.

Me too, I do always manual betting. There is excitement if you are the one clicking and excited to see the results. Using the script seems boring,  but maybe excited to see your capital accumulated during those bets but also there is a setback, your money can disappear also faster.

I think it is important to emphasise that script for betting is mostly used by people who believe they know how to win from a gambling site, or, in other words, how to beat the house edge. This type of gambling is dangerous IMO not only because you might lose all your balance fast but also because such way of thinking leads to gambling addiciton.
1904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes the bitcoin price stronger in the market? on: May 03, 2017, 11:38:48 AM

There are aspects that make bitcoin users more and more convinced that bitcoin is a good place for investment so now bitcoin prices are rising in the market!

Because more and more people are getting to know about BTC, I think bitcointalk itself plays a big role in spreading ideas that BTC is a good investment. And people are learning from their mistakes, we all know that if we invested in bitcions earlier some of us could be millionaires. So why don't try doing it now, maybe bitcoin will cost over 10 000$ someday. And why not alts? I think because BTC is a matter of current report, everyone wants to make an investment in something, that is well-known and time-tested.
1905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: May 03, 2017, 11:24:44 AM
Just want know how much the gamblers who use analysis when play gambling and what kinds of gambling game? And do you think it is needed or not making analysis on gambling game or it is depend on lucky. Thanks for share your opinions and experience.
Analysis is obviously important while doing sport bets, but I don't think that it works as good for gambling games. For dice - no, everything depends on luck, even though it may seem that if you lost many times already the chance to win with your every next bet increases, you can't know for sure, and that is actually one of the main reasons why I lose. Talking about card games - well that is where analysis can be useful. I like to find out whether I'm playing with a bot, or an actual person and so if it is a bot you can learn him and predict his actions, but sometimes it turns out that the person was acting like a bot and suddenly became unpredictible. It is all risky anyway, but I find it much more interesting to play using analysis.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: May 02, 2017, 04:57:38 PM
You cannot ecpect too much when you put small amount only to invest as the return is not that high and vice versa.
Worth or not as long as you can enjoy it. Dont be a low price hunter. Just enjoy from market speculation if you know what you are doing.

I agree with you perfectly except the "You cannot ecpect too much when you put small amount only to invest as the return is not that high". Dude small investments counts and matters a lot especially if you compound the profits; they normally end up being great investments if you keenly nurture it. A lot of rich folks today started from small investments, Bill gates, the Fedex owner, amongst others who had to invest little money before their investments grew to be this big so I'll never rubbish any investment amount really.
Topic is about investing 0.01btc in gambling sites. For example, in crypto-games total bankroll is something around 1700BTC, so if you invest 0.01 your share will be 0.001%(even less) and you can expect very very low earnings. And you can't compare bill gate's investment with investment in gambling site.

Actually much less than that. It will be around 0.000006%, but still your profit depends on the profit the site you invested in makes.
So, if one day they will be making $10,000,000 per month you'll have your $60.
In that number you will see you will surely make already your word when talking about small investments. You do really gain on positive but considering on the amount it would really feel worthless at all unless if you dont mind on the income that investment then it would be still better than nothing at all.Small investment doesnt make any sense to me coz im too dependent on any investment do i have.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. If you are rich and you make only big investments to make big profits then I'm glad for you, but some people can afford only small ones, and I have shown that in some cases even small investments make sense.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: May 02, 2017, 04:34:43 PM
Most dice sites have their own dice bots implemented and there is no need to buy one. Why people still buying dice bots, it is because they believe there are some kind of magical bots which will make you win in the long run. The truth is such bots do not exist. If it was possible to create them creators would never sell them to anyone, but rather would make money by themselves.

LOL exactly. Its pretty much the same when you use bots and you roll manually. It just may save you a bit more energy and time if you do bots but when it comes to chances, believing that these botsnwill better your chances is the same as believing in superstitious rituals to help you win.

Yes, and still some people believe in those things. Poor poor people, they lose even the little they have.

Yes almost all dice game sites do have bots and yet a whole lot of players - myself inclusive goes out to make use of dice bot! There are a number of reasons and they differ from one player to another, but the meeting point is that most on site bots are limited in functionality and unable to handle the sequence of bets the way a player may want it. However the use of dicebot especially in the programmers mode, puts so much maneuverability in the hands of a player. One more thing is the possibility to proper define a stop loss or take profit, which most of the sites often tilt to their favor.

From your post it looks like you know how to win in dice but just don't have enough time to play, so you need a bot for that. If you really know a winning strategy then bet manually and become rich. But I doubt there is such thing as winning strategy in dice.

Magical bot?  Grin
And what is difference between manual and auto bet? Chances are equal. People are using bots because it is much simpler to set up some settings and hit run button than click manual every single roll. For example you are chasing payout 990X. Would you click every single roll manual? Isn't it easier to run bot?

Actually I bet manually even 9900X because if you are lucky you will hit it in few first bets. Running an automated betting for this purpose will leave you with nothing.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling? on: May 01, 2017, 08:16:33 PM
hello, I would like to try my luck from gambling.

what kind of gambling that you think is easy to make a profit? and what strategies are you using?

I think there are no strategies. There are some good articles you can find on the Internet about why casinos always win. Basically, it is all about theories of probability, so if you are good at math you will get the thing. The only cases in which you can win is either there is some kind of a gap in the system, or this casino is a scam, that makes you think you are winning, while you are actually losing.

My strategy is very simple. Having no strategy while gambling is the best strategy actually. My luck is with me most of the time so I never worried about any planning or making strategies because I always won more than what I lost. So I have faith in my luck and play dice...  Grin

its nice reading that someone can be luckier like you mate, since most what we read here are those complain regarding of their loses inside
gambling sites, i like what you have said its nothing special with your own luck and determination to win. no easy way but a lots of patience
to win inside gambling.

Instead of having a strategy to win its better to have no strategy at all, since in gambling at casinos, all strategies are bound to fail in the long run when the house edge catches up and wipes away our balance. Rather on the field its important to focus on your balance and use it wisely so you can bank some amount and stop when needed and call it a a day if you lose too much.
Depends on which game you are playing too and if you are just playing on pure luck based games then strategy wont really be needed at all which results are purely random but there are games which do really need skills and cant be played without the need of analysis.

True, but even in skill based games luck is a big factor. And since you can't be lucky all the time even very skilled players lose eventually. And when they hit an unlucky streak they might lose much more during it than they've won before. And since they belive they are skilled they try to recover immediately and sometimes lose even more. There are many gambling addicts among skilled players too.

This is a great and promising project considering the people involved and the fact that Ethereum is on the rise nowadays. Also I like that the user remains in full control of deposited funds which means that he can't be scammed.

I am loving this site and how fast it is to what I am doing on it.

Big ups to ones who created this site and to the developers too! Grin

Yes, I also like how the site is made but there are almost no activity there. For example today only on two markets, YOC/USD and YOG/YOC, some trading has happened. I think they should relaunch their sig campaign.
1911  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular, Oldest & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC | Instant on: May 01, 2017, 07:12:20 PM
They deceased the min limit to 0.002.I think it isn't necessary to set it even lower.faucet is also disabled when you got bank balance. At PD you can bank to your alt and use faucet over and over.
Actually the faucet is giving us 150 satoshi and primedice might cut it again when price of BTC will go significantly higher in the future.
I don't think that there is a good way to farm faucet with the limitations, there is a withdrawal limit, you can only claim faucet while your balance is zero etc.

Yes but what people have been doing is basically making multiple accounts, betting on low win % percentages and whenever they get a win, they "tip" their other main account.

Some people even do this out in the open with the same username just a prefix added like JohnSmith00 and JohnSmith01 and JohnSmith02 , etc.

But it is not so easy to go from 150 sats to 50k sats which you can tip. For that you have to win the max bet of 150 sats with 350x multiplier and  the odds of that happening are very low, less than 0.3%. One should have dozens of alts to abuse the faucet that way and I think that's easily traceable.

I agree because although I've tried many times it was only once when I managed to go to 50k from the faucet on PD. I can't even imagine how the abusers are doing this. Maybe they know some tricks I'm not aware of.

But of course Primedice has every right to do whatever they think is appropriate to stop abusing of their faucet.

1913  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: April 30, 2017, 07:27:46 PM
If I urgently need money, then I will sell bitcoins. It's better than taking a loan from a bank or asking a friend. If there is not enough stocks of bitcoins, then I will sell some valuable item

This is what I do, haha, constantly. I wish I can only hold my bitcoins never selling them, but life is life. Just yesterday I sold $40 worth of BTC to buy The Official SAT Study Guide and a couple of other similar books.

What I've discovered is that it is much easier to sell bitcoins than any other valuable item when you are in desperate need of money.

Anything that has a public market where people can post if they are buying or if they are selling that item allows you to get rid of the item pretty quickly. You simply dumped your coins. That means you sold your bitcoins to someone that has a buy order. But since the transactions are almost instant here, it's one of the quickest assets to sell. Even other assets or even stocks from a company can be sold pretty quick especially if there's a buy order or if you're selling it for quite a low price.

As a matter of fact, you can even use bitcoin (just like other assets) as a way to pay that thing you desperately need money for. It can serve as a money right away.

Unfortunately people are hesitant to accept bitcoins where I live, almost nobody sees it as something valuable. Only the people on localbitcoins and on other local exchanges know what it is and that's why it is easy to sell BTC to them.

But now I think you've probably meant something else which I don't know of. If so, how in your opinion bitcoin can serve as a money right away?

We are offering instant account opening for Private and Business clients from 180 countries. The problem some of our clients face is to make deposits if we don't maintain a local account in their country. By accepting Bitcoin, our customers can instantly transfer funds to their WB21 account from any country in the world. As soon as they send Bitcoin to our address, we credit the value in the currency the customer has selected to their checking account

This is still a far cry from Bitcoin deposits in the true sense of the word

But still this is better than nothing. From this we can see that some banks are cooperating with bitcoin users making things easier for them. I don't know, do we realy need an option to make deposits in BTC? Considering the volatility of bitcoin this might never happen, but if all the banks around the world were cooperating like WB21 I think we could call it acceptance in a way

Major web wallets have been doing that for years already

Especially those which issue payment cards, and I'm inclined to think that their role in making Bitcoin popular by far exceeds the efforts that banks such as WB21 make. That shouldn't be misconstrued as if the latter did nothing at all, though. I just want to say that WB21 and its likes work like typical exchangers, the number of which is already pretty big in the Internet. Personally, I use at least three such exchangers on a more or less regular basis, which allow me to exchange bitcoins (or rather exchange vouchers) to fiat and receive the proceeds in my regular bank account

I agree with you, it is like typical exchange in a way. I also use an exchange which cooperates with a major bank in our country and that's why they charge nothing for transfering the money to your account there(I have a CC from that bank). This is very convenient and I wish more banks were cooperating with exchanges in the future.
1915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 06:41:07 PM
All these years we were pampered by centralized services. Some of us are sometimes incapable of taking care of our most precious possessions.
We would rather trust 3rd party to keep our money safe than believe in ourselves.

Op, your total loss was that 3.5 BTC?

I know it is too late now, but what wrong is with keeping copy of your passphrase stored in multiple places in your house?
You don't trust your family?

Yes, total loss is 3,47 BTC.

I totally trust my family 100000%, but somehow I felt like I would never forget a password that I created for 3 reasons:

- I have (now I look stupid saying that) very good memory.
- I'm the "organized" type. Never loose a thing, never forget appointements etc...
- Back when I got into bitcoin, I didn't feel like I could ever loose this password, because I've used the "skeleton" so much in my life that I just had to remember the "wallet variation" I had created.

Bottomline, I know most of it, but there is too many possibilities of cap letters, numbers used or not, that even a pro cracker didn't manage to crack....

I'm really sorry you've lost so much and I wish I could help somehow. If you remember most of it then I think it is possible that you will remember the whole phrase one day. Do you know how Dmitri Mendeleev created the periodic table of elements? Here's a quote from Wiki:

Quote
"I saw in a dream a table where all elements fell into place as required. Awakening, I immediately wrote it down on a piece of paper, only in one place did a correction later seem necessary."

I believe that he saw it in a dream because he already knew the most part of it. And I really wish something like this happens to you.

1916  Economy / Economics / Re: how much do you earn with 25$ investment on: April 30, 2017, 04:44:08 PM
I invested about BTC0.02 in alt coin last month when they have ico running. Now the coin already in some exchange and if i sell it now i can get about BTC0.08. You can get a lot of money if you are lucky to find the right one to invest.

Congrats, that was a pretty good investment! But do not wait too long, sell now, you have made a nice profit already.

I think OP is just trying to promote his method here, which is another How_to_Make_Big_Money_Fast kind of book. To make money you have to study a lot and to work even more, all other methods don't work.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: April 30, 2017, 04:30:35 PM
Well, I was taught from childhood, that the gambling game is a sin, so I believe it is a sin. But, all depends again on each other's stance, because the purpose of each person in playing gambling is different. Maybe that purpose makes gambling play not a sin.
Gambling can't be called sin. Even though gambling is kind of wrong but in general gambling doesn't do anything to others it just affects the person who is gambling and the owners who may earn or lose.

Although I don't think that gambling is a sin I disagree with the other part of your statement. In many cases gambling affects close relatives of the addicted person, especially when a gambler has wife and kids since he loses the money he can spend on them to gambling.
