901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes enough is enough on: August 02, 2018, 07:01:14 PM
Wow, that's quite a story! I've made some new conclusions in relation to gambling. First: you shouldn't be superstitious when your money is on, that what really can make you lose money. Once I was crazy about number 3 so I did everything for three times in dice (don't mean just betting, a whole set of bets with particular numbers) hoping that for the third time I'll win. It didn't last for long, however made me lose some money. Second: you should never ever go beyond planned expenditure amounts for a day. Selling phone - sounds crazy, but not as crazy as a fact that gamblers can go as far as selling their apartments and borrowing money. And the last but not least: if you are hazardous and going out for a play you need to hire an authorised delegate to control your expenses.
902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MARKET IS RED AGAIN on: August 02, 2018, 02:38:50 PM
May be this year is the worst year for the crypto. market is very uncertain and no one knows the reason All we have is just a "hope" do you really believe that crypto will revive again.. i am losing hope now
I think the market would be recovering faster (as it was in May 2018), but sudden ban for ICO advertising from Facebook and same announcement by Google kind of worsened the situation, less people invested in crypto, than it could've been with proper promotion. Lots of projects failed, lots of ICO scammed and due to this people lost hope and stopped investing in promising projects. Which has lead to decline in the number of projects (we can see it even by the number of bounty/signature campaigns) and there isn't enough demand for price to increase. But along with this fact the rivalry is reducing, which will probably lead to new flurry of activity in crypto market soon.
903  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: If bitcoin gets mass adopted, must we use our mobiles to buy? on: August 02, 2018, 12:54:01 PM
Some companies are considering releasing new smartphones with built-in hardware wallets, or, there are apps which you can install on your phone to store some cryptos there. Like this, for instance: https://www.coindesk.com/huawei-to-offer-first-crypto-wallet-app-in-latest-smartphones/
Using blockchain wallet app isn't safe, but you can transfer only your daily expenditures, so in case of stealing, or forgetting some important information you won't be losing that much. Maybe there will be something like TREZOR for smartphones.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: August 02, 2018, 11:02:38 AM
I see your point and I agree that in some of the gambling games you can really improve skills. When playing poker, or blackjack, Pai gow, etc. you learn to remember some cards, which can give you benefit in future, you can learn some patterns so with more years it becomes more likely for you to win. I've experienced that on myself with poker. On the other hand it's not a standard learning and improving skills situation, you can play for 10 years, but one day you're just extremely unlucky and lose everything (which can not happen in case of learning math, for instance). But other gambling games, like dice, slot machines, lottery can't be learned to play, because nothing depends on you here you just click and I don't believe that there some kind of strategies for those games, you can't influence probability laws.
905  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] 🚀 Bitcasino.io 🚀 [Signature Campaign] 🚀 [$120/week] on: August 02, 2018, 06:44:10 AM
Received my payment yesterday, thank you!
906  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] 🚀 Bitcasino.io 🚀 [Signature Campaign] 🚀 [$120/week] on: August 01, 2018, 11:56:45 AM
I think you're the one that's really not getting it. Here's the offer which he said "Yes, amends" to. "everything made right" "continue as normal" very clear words that mean everything goes back to the way it should.

Exactly, and the way it should be - you're getting your payment for one week, nothing more.
In the rules it was stated that manager can remove you from the campaign for whatever reason and threatening to give scam accusation for one small mistake which he was about to fix seems like a good reason. I think if you behaved more politely there could've been a chance for you to stay, but not sure here, maybe manager just didn't like your posts quality, it's seriously up to him.
907  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] 🚀 Bitcasino.io 🚀 [Signature Campaign] 🚀 [$120/week] on: August 01, 2018, 11:08:23 AM

Interesting you excluded the photo of him extorting me after he agreed to pay what he was then threatening to withhold. Also, what is interesting is your viewpoint that I'm not being scammed 7 weeks of campaign payment because he agreed to "make everything right" from his error which would certainly include reinstating me in the campaign. That's $840 in potential earnings scammed because here he is in pictures agreeing to what I stated.

Not only that, for some reason he thinks or is twisting me giving him 24 hours to correct the mistake of scamming me 7 posts before opening a scam accusation for those 7 posts, is me actually blackmailing him. Which I think is pretty evidently false. But what to know what IS blackmailing and extortion?

I excluded the photo simply because I don't want people to go through half of the page to read what they could've read earlier, I responded to the whole situation. You're really not getting it, manager never agreed to have you for 7 more weeks, "amends" meant those 120$ for one week. And "you have 24 hours to respond" that's not the way you treat a campaign manager, that actually is a blackmail and who are you to lay down conditions?
908  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] 🚀 Bitcasino.io 🚀 [Signature Campaign] 🚀 [$120/week] on: August 01, 2018, 08:37:25 AM
Scam accusation opened against campaign manager for extortion and scamming

Here's a little taste. Almost resolved it, that's why I have deleted posts, but then he scammed me again.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4795083.msg43258013#msg43258013

That's just ridiculous. From what I've read it looked like campaign manager was trying to WARN you and not BLACKMAIL. You've made a fuss, what do you think campaign manager would look like, if he paid you after all those posts you've made within a short period of time? You should've thanked him that he was worried about getting you your payment in the first place. Needless to say on BTT in campaigns with high payment managers are strict and it's a normal situation when you make a qualifying number of posts and still not getting paid because manager can consider some of them as nonconstructive. But it's not even that kind of situation now, you were about to get paid!
$960 - where did you get that number anyway? Why are you so confident you would've stayed in this campaign for any longer than 1 or 2 weeks? Any of the participants can be kicked out of the campaign. So what now, each participant should open a scam accusation for not getting potential payment?
909  Economy / Economics / Re: Why everyone only invest in the crypto market? on: July 31, 2018, 04:46:40 PM
Hello everyone!

I am talking to quite a few people who are investing in crypto and notice that very few have a broader investment spectrum. People either focus on ICOs, some small caps, others play it safe and stick with the high caps or established projects.

But hold on, is the later really playing save? In my view, even with high caps you will still be massively exposed as you have all of your eggs in one basket. Namely in the same market. Different eggs in size and colour but all eggs. If the basket falls, your eggs still get crushed.

As mentioned before, I am trading stocks for over a decade and crypto since last year. I also agree that is easier to trade stocks, simply because the volume is so high that a few whales or big investors cannot influence the market as easily by dumping their shares. The stock market is also much more regulated, if someone is being caught doing washtrading or spoofing the consequences are dramatic. In the crypto world manipulation is something that poses a constant threat. Just look at the market now, the recent dip is not tight to any event, news or even fud. 25 billion just disappeared and people are wondering wht‘s going on.

Long story short, it‘s great you have a diversification plan but also think about moving assets from crypto to fiat, stocks or raw materials and precious metals.

What is your view on that?

Cryptocurrencies trading volume is pretty high too, it's just that most of the shares are distributed between those whales. But it's not like that with every crypto, it is best demonstrated in case of BTC, but no one says you should trade with it - that's pretty risky. I think with new crypto coins appearing on the market there will be more people having equal or similar amount of shares. Crypto market just haven't stabilized yet. Investing it fiat requires big money and a lot of time to get some decent profit, so it's too risky. And gold is classic, should always count on that one.
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why so much hype on crypto on: July 31, 2018, 09:39:50 AM
It's what you pay attention to, because you're into crypto. There's always hype where there's money. Stocks: there's been so much investment frauds in history and about 20 of them were very large scale (like BERNIE MADOFF Pyramid scheme) with people losing billions of dollars, each year more than 30 million consumers fall victim to investment frauds. Bonds and real estate scams with their own more than 10 different schemes. So crypto hype is just a regular thing, it only means that cryptocurrencies are in the spotlight.

912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: July 30, 2018, 07:10:35 PM
Yesterday I watched a video about addiction on youtube: https://youtu.be/ao8L-0nSYzg. It was a real surprise to me that according to recent research people are addicted to drugs mainly because they can't bond well with people and are not able to live a satisfying life. The research shows that when an addicted person appears in a loving and caring environment, the addiction kind of disappears (even heroin addiction). I wonder what are your thoughts on this matter and whether you think you could say the same about gambling addiction.

Gambling addiction is different from drug addiction in terms of reasoning from someone who is into it. Addiction in gambling is because people are dissatisfied with what they already won in a gambling, and tend to lose it all even if they know they are not winning the game.

I think that gambling addiction is pretty similar to drug addiction, I mean it's the same chemicals that are released in the brain as when you do drugs.
What you're describing is a symptom of gambling addiction, not the root cause.

I'd say it's certainly possible that people turn to gambling and get addicted because they are dissatisfied with their life;

Actually, it's not, physical addiction takes place when certain chemicals (µ opioid agonists, such as alcohol, barbiturates, nicotine, etc.) bind to µ opioid receptors. And the chemicals that can be released when playing poker due to excitements are most likely catecholamines (adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine) which can only cause psychological dependence. So forget that myth once and for all.
Gambling can be sort of a distraction from your problems if you started to gamble before those problems emerged. But if one is already in trouble I think it's unlikely he will start gambling to get well.
913  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wallet with access controls on: July 30, 2018, 06:40:28 PM
What's the idea, why would anyone want others to watch how much you spend? I think it's kind of a thing that each person wants to leave to himself. Unless of course you want to create a special wallet which would help people to control their expenditures. Also, if it's a wallet with multiple access for friends it would be very convenient to give loans to each other, somehow open access to your assets for a friend so he can just withdraw it - no transactions needed then, quick operation. This idea reminds me of some Wallet Expense Manager. Anyway, there's a similar function for credit/debit cards and people are into it, so I think it will be in requisition.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Really! Where is the fun at? on: July 30, 2018, 04:38:59 PM
Online gambling is a real salvation for a lot of people, who can't play in real life, but want to enjoy the game, such as introverts, or old people, who feel uncomfortable in casinos, being surrounded by much younger audience, people from countries, where gambling is prohibited (but they can risk and play using TOR/VPN), also for people, whose families are against gambling, and there might be also a group of people with poor health, who can't reach real world casinos. You may be right that playing in real life is more interesting, but not everyone can handle it.
915  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoins aren't tied to a conventional currency how did they get so valuable? on: July 30, 2018, 12:38:18 PM
If Bitcoins aren't tied to a conventional currency, how did they get so valuable?
Well, that's the reason why a lot of people say that BTC is a Ponzi scheme. But the fact that people bought something of limited supply using real currency made Bitcoin worth something. Сome to think of it - what is gold tied to? What if one day people say that it's just a piece of metal and they don't want to value it? Everything that people consider and want to be valuable becomes so, in case of gold it's beauty, durability and limited amount, in case of Bitcoin - it's very convenient and innovative technology. Another thing that matters is that Bitcoins don't come out of nothing (like everything in Ponzi schemes) - they are mined and mining requires electricity power, which has a value. And the more there are Bitcoins out there - the more power it is needed to mine some, this genius concept practically eliminates the possibility of inflation.
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino Question on: July 30, 2018, 10:39:06 AM
Hey everyone, have a quick question: how much bitcoin do I need to start a bitcoin casino? Gonna buy a turnkey bitcoin casino soon which will be about a grand, but about how much bitcoin do I need to reliably be able to pay off winners, at least in the beginning? I know the number varies, but ballpark.
There are a lot of factors on which the resulting cost will depend, such as your software (which is incredibly important, you don't want to cut corners on that one) and security system. Your website should be simple for new users and attractive at the same time, plus it must command confidence, safety. Good software prices range between $10-15k. Obviously, you will need a license - not less than $15k per year too. Also you will need at least 5 employees for starters and consider lash out on promotion some decent money, if you don't want to make all your work go unseen. Altogether - about $40k to launch a website. The rest depends on how many and what kind of games you'll have there. I'd suggest you to make some variety here, this will bring more profit. Paying to winners - surprisingly that's not the thing that matters at first. I've seen some decent and popular gambling casinos, where hundreds of people spent plenty of time on poker tournaments the reward of which were about 10 USD. If you can attract people then you'll be able to pay people with money that others spent on your games.
917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should buy altcoin now? on: July 29, 2018, 09:03:02 PM

Looking at the market at the moment, there has been an increase in altcoin from a low of $ 5900 at the end of June 2018 to $ 8200 today. However, the value of the altcoin did not increase, some of it decreased. Percentage of market capitalization of the current bitcoin compared to the overall market is over 47%. Is this the right time to buy altcoin to make a profit?

You mean the increase in Bitcoin? Yes, I think it's the right time to buy BTC, the prices will likely start increasing now. 2018 year is supposed to be the best year for Bitcoin after all, Segwit development has brought a new hope for the investors, so they're returning to market now. Ripple and Ethereum will go up along with BTC, because all of these coins are the object of interest of the same investors. As for unpopular coins - the best time to buy them is after airdrops, when everyone sells coins and the price drops. But it's better not to hold that coin for a long time, because it might be not very successful.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better in poker: bluffing or playing only with good cards? on: July 29, 2018, 07:59:51 PM
I think bluff is a high risk, which a person should take only when he can afford to lose everything and the game for him is no more than just a fun. On the other hand it's not less hazardous to keep playing very confidently, when you have a strong hand. In fact, this might be even worse, as such a player keeps betting so confidently not even thinking that some of other players might have a little better cards. I think such situations often lead to a total disaster.
919  Economy / Economics / Re: When will smartphones used for bitcoin mining? on: July 29, 2018, 07:15:27 PM
As we all know that smartphones are just like computer nowadays that has strong storage capacity and processor. This I think could be enable to mine bitcoin and this is what I am waiting for if there are any smartphones company that would offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining or even as a smartphone that works as digital hardware wallet for bitcoin and other crypto. I am waiting for it to happen. Do you think that it will happen?

Storage capacity and processor in smartphones isn't the same as in computers, that are capable of mining. About hardware wallet - this is some easier aim to achieve and that's why a well-known Chinese company Huawei with about 25% IT networks market share (which is quite a lot) is about to launch a project, where their new smartphones will have built-in BTC wallets and they also want to release BTC wallet app. Check the link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/huawei-releases-bitcoin-wallet-in-app-store-pre-installed-on-all-new-smartphones
This, hopefully, will attract more people all over the world.
As for mining on smartphones - there's one project about to be launched by Samsung company. C-Lab (their engineering team) will take the responsibility of developing it and mining function should be available on Samsung’s Galaxy S5 smartphones. https://futurism.com/mine-bitcoins-using-40-old-galaxy-s5s/
It's been almost a year since that announcement, but I think such a difficult challenge can't be reached within short period of time.
920  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: July 29, 2018, 09:29:32 AM
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts.
No doubt there are too many of them, which complicates the whole choosing worthy ones process. But nowadays there are too much of everything related to crypto world. Aren't there too much of ICOs (around 3965 ICOs, and these are only the top ones)? Or maybe too much altcoins (around 1570)? And those numbers are growing exponentially, that's why the number of exchanges increases as well. This fact, however, depicts that interest to the crypto market keeps growing, which is good news for all of us. You just need to follow top lists and news to stay aware of upcoming risks.
