1021  Economy / Economics / Re: Portfolio on: May 09, 2018, 07:49:20 PM
How many cryptos should Ihave in my portfolio? Are there one recommended diversification ( like having 3 or 4 coins) ?
No there isn't, everything depends on your overall goal. If you're investing, especially a big amount of money - choose 2-3 coins, that you consider as worthy and make a long-term investment, that would be the most profitable way. If you want to trade you can do it with up to 10 coins and buy/sell frequently, whenever it's a good time, but take into account that it will take a lot of your time.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin overhyped? on: May 09, 2018, 06:22:32 PM
Is Bitcoin overhyped?

Definitely. There's no doubt there are alternate cryptocurrencies that are as good as Bitcoin, or even better: lower and faster transaction fees for instance. Even when BTC tx fees have pumped up to 40$ it remained popular. I think the fact that Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and it is 9 years old already, which is why people trust it mostly, plays a key role in its demand.
1023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: new to this things on: May 08, 2018, 06:25:39 PM
im new in this trading.so i dont how to start.im affraid to do something wrong..help me please 😊
I'd recommend you to watch some tutorials first, before you spend money. Try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txWaMpSzHhM
Also you can find some useful articles on trading here https://www.investopedia.com/university/beginner-trading-fundamentals/
You can also purchase a trading bot, if you can afford one, and learn from its actions. As for the exchange - you can start with Coinbase.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which exchanges are you mostly trusted? on: May 08, 2018, 05:35:50 PM
I see many exchanges in the market now.

Which exchanges are you mostly trusted?
I absolutely trust Coinbase, LocalBitcoins and Bitfinex. Coinbase has an easy interface and available even for newbies, it has high buying limits, but the payment methods are limited and your transactions can be tracked. If you prefer privacy and a variety of payment methods - LocalBitcoins is your choice, but beware of scams and the fees are higher there. Bitfinex is a good choice for expert traders due to its confusing interface and for the ones who want to trade with small volumes, its main advantage is low fees. A lot of people don't trust Bitfinex though, because of the hacker attacks.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade altcoins?? on: May 02, 2018, 07:07:27 PM
Good day!! Guys I want to learn how to trade altcoins?
I just wanna ask what are the fundamentals?
As for the start choose a trading platform. I would recommend Bitfinex, because you can trade there with small amounts and the fees aren't that high, it also has advanced charts and indicators that will help you familiarize with the process. This article https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-best-way-to-trade-altcoins has some important tips that might help you. You can also purchase a trading bot that will do better, than a newbie and so you can learn from its actions. Good luck.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it really worth it to invest in ICO? on: May 01, 2018, 10:48:09 AM
I am wondering about people investing in an ICO if it is really worth because base on my obvservation there are many investors on ICO period and i do not know some would always say that investing in an ICO is risky. I would like to get the investors idea directly if they were really successful in their investment  or the haters that say investing in ICO risky is really true. This is also more like a small study for future references that someday i am going to invest in an ICO since i have seen  a great potential in invesing on it. Thus, i have seen many discounts offering bonuses and that is the good thing that happen in joining in ICO investments. Hopefully i could get some answers in the forum.
Never invest in ICO if you can't afford to lose that money. There are some basic rules, like reading the whitepaper, studying the developers team, searching through their website, etc. But even if ICO wasn't scam it doesn't mean that it will be successful, sometimes even good projects are left in the shadows with the lack of funds. So if you need money - investing in ICO is almost the same thing as trying to make money on gambling.

1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: The Seven Deadly Sins on: April 30, 2018, 08:31:19 AM
I agree with you, a lot of people say it's a sin. But I think everything that is related to money is a sin. Think about trading and investing? Same there: greed and wrath. And even when one is dealing with money in a daily life he faces the same problems. The only way out is just not to take money that seriously and consider it as a game.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If United states legalize Bitcoin? on: April 28, 2018, 10:42:53 AM
Will China, India and other countries follow the same path?
No, I don't think so. Bitcoin is something that can make people free from the government at some point. While US is a democratic country and the govs don't mind changes in favour of society, China and India aim to reduce society influence.

1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The End Of The Bounty. on: April 24, 2018, 06:13:55 PM
Currently, there are a huge number of ICO projects. Of course, we all understand that half of these projects are either Scam or just very weak projects that nobody needs. But now there are at least such projects. What will be in a year, when the ICO every day will be less and less until it reaches the point that one project per month will be released? It is also worth mentioning that the number of participants in the bounty companies is increasing day by day, and the money allocated to the bounty companies are becoming less.  Conclusion: the bounty of the company will exist for another year, or a maximum of two.
What do you think about this?
I don't think that the number of ICOs can decrease just like that. In some way it can be compared with Bitcoin mining: a lot of people say "what if people don't want to mine anymore, what if there's nobody to mine" - wrong. As the number of people, who take part in something that can bring you money (like ICO and mining too) and where rivalry takes place decreases - the interest increases right away and then that number increases again.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Still Exist or Closed Company? on: April 21, 2018, 08:04:21 PM
Hello, last 2 years i decide to invest to some altcoin in market.. for 1 altcoin is worth than $1.. now, 1 altcoin is worth than $0.0036..

Is the company still exist or already closed? Why on market this coin still exist?
Can you specify the coin you are talking about? But to be honest, a drop by 99,64%, if I'm not mistaken, even after a 2-year period may be considered as a total crash. There are two cases why the almost dead coin may still exist: first one - some people for some reason are still holding it, second one, and which is more likely - it is a pegged rate.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is rank of bounty manager is really matters? on: April 21, 2018, 07:41:20 PM
I saw nice ICOs and wanted to take part in their bounties, but saw rank junior member as manager.
Do you have examples of successful ICOs with low rank of bounty manager on the BTT.
Yes, when it comes to ICOs actually the rank doesn't matter much, because that ICO team members may be not really into Bitcointalk and they don't care about ranks, the other situation - one of the team members might have registered on BTT for ICO promotion and didn't have an opportunity to become Hero Member yet, for instance.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VERGE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH PORNHUB!!! on: April 17, 2018, 07:03:22 PM
Ok guys according to P-hub and Verge (XVG), P-hub is in a partnership with Verge. It makes sense; people want to pay for adult stuff anonymously and Verge is a privacy coin. The potential is pretty huge, because P-hub is probably one the biggest in the adult industry.

Do you think this is good development for Verge and for crypto in general?

Those aren't quite unexpected news, considering that a lot of porn websites have been using different tokens for years already, it's convenient. For sure, using cryptocurrencies will bring even more attention to both - website and Verge, but I don't get why they chose XVG, if it's pretty volatile?
1035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rose to $8000 again. The turnover is increasing rapidly. on: April 17, 2018, 06:45:08 PM
The market is definitely recovering, but we can't make any predictions yet, as Bitcoin has been steadily increasing for only a week now. I think there might be another decline, due to newbie investors, who bought BTC in Dec-Feb 2017 and then lost money, but didn't want to sell it while it was too low. They may think that it's the highest point now and sell out everything.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market recovering or just a big joke? on: April 15, 2018, 01:10:29 PM
I see the BTC only at $ 7,200 - $7,400 , but the small altcoin is very high pumping.
It may just be a boss's joke. Let investors join then dump, to get rich!
It doesn't seem like a play, it's been  almost 3 months since Bitcoin is volatile, so even an increase by 15% on April 12 is normal, not all of small altcoins are pumping, I just think that the red market has finally ended.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is TON, GRAM worth investing? on: April 07, 2018, 12:30:23 PM
There has been a lot of agiotage around this ICO, and now we know, that it raised up to $1.7 Billion! Moreover, raising those funds wasn't an arduous task, on the contrary to most ICOs, people wanted to invest in it so badly, that up to 10 fake Telegram ICO websites appeared, offering tokens with a very low price. However, not everyone believes that this project has a promising future: https://news.bitcoin.com/telegrams-ico-has-raised-1-7-billion-but-not-everyone-is-impressed/

What is your opinion on this? Will you but tokens, when they will be easy to get?
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is forbidden for Muslims on: April 06, 2018, 05:05:21 PM
Under current regulations or what they call 'fatwa', even though bitcoin is considered the currency of the future and part of technological development, bitcoin cannot be separated from one of the elements that can make it forbidden to use. The element is uncertainty. Bitcoin is considered to have this element because the price is so volatile that people like gambling when buying and selling bitcoins, and gambling was forbidden for muslims. how do you think about this?
It was forbidden due to its possible use to fund terrorism and also because there are no exact rules for using BTC and people may have started buying large amounts of BTC, which eventually could have lead to serious damage to the economy.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Non-chemical dependencies - Gambling on: April 04, 2018, 11:44:41 AM
I disagree that gambling addiction can be called non-chemical. If you're a true addict, not just think of an action, but being obsessed with it the problem lies deeper, than just in thinking. As you mentioned above, serotonin and adrenaline secretion occurs, and one can become addictive to a certain kind of action due to this secretion. So the effect is the same, the only difference is that you obtain chemicals not from outside, but from inside and tolerance doesn't occur, but the drug withdrawal syndrome takes place.
1040  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bots that trash Bitcoin blockchain? on: April 04, 2018, 10:43:30 AM
What is the solution against the bots that automatically and frequently upload unnecessary data into the Bitcoin blockchain?

With pruning enabled, nodes could save space on their HDD.
If allot of nodes enable pruning, will not the blockchain become less secure (because there are less nodes to download historical data from)?
Use SPV client, Electrum for instance and you won't have to download blockchain history. Leave the responsibility to do the blockchain validation to servers.  Smiley
