1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: April 16, 2023, 08:00:36 PM
-cut-
Also, after BTC surviving for more than 10 years and not even the Chinese government being able to stop it, I am quite confident it can not be stopped.
But can ETH somehow be stopped? Confiscated or devalued when exchanges are attacked
-cut-
Eth has even less changes of being stopped imho. They can technically always start to weed out mining facilities and ban those, like they did in China, but it will be harder to prevent people from staking.
Cryptos being confiscated is a whole another issue and it doesn't need any kind of attack. Basically they can already do that and people running CEXes are complying with authorities. So anyone in a black list technically should get their accounts frozen.

What it comes to growth potential, it's anyone's guess, both of them have potential and great arguments for and against, but if i had to choose, i would say eth has more potential to grow.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 16, 2023, 07:11:10 PM
OP, you speak sense. Especially people with addictive personality should tread lightly when it comes to gambling. Even if you got rid of some other addiction like booze or cigarettes, gambling is whole another beast. It's fun and that's only thing that it should be. If you are not gambling skill based games it's should not be a living.

Yes you can win big but reason why you get hooked in the first place. That and it's a way to spend time. In fact mostly latter. People get hooked on playing with play money as well.
But another reason for it is that humans are not wired properly to understand probabilities and percentages. If people could choose to get a smaller win with 100% probability, then significally higher payoff with 39% probability.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New L1 and L2 chains launching in 2023 on: April 16, 2023, 06:42:29 PM
-cut-
It's also unique in that there are built in synthetic assets like USD, stocks and Gold.
-cut-
That's quite far from unique. Syntethic tokens have existed for a long time now. Imho they are quite pointless as they are not real stocks, only representing value of stocks.

And there indeed are plenty of other projects planned to launch in 2023 as well, but the problem is that they are only plans, that especially with L1 tech can delay indefinitely. With experimental tech comes unforseen problems and depending how experimental the new chain is, it can face many delays as it's imperative that chain holding so much value don't have any bigs to exploit.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 16, 2023, 11:55:18 AM
I am aware that DCA is better in a coin you know will last somehow long depending on how long you have to DCA.
DCA is the only means that is easy for me to buy coins. Which altcoin can you recommend for me to start DCAing till  halving when the bull run is expected.
I am afraid , that before bull run such coin might have problems. I don't want coins above $100, so that it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.

-cut-
The price doesn't matter. Capitalization matters. Low capitalization projects have the potential for growth, not tokens with low price. But again, low capitalization projects usually do not have a finished product, they do not have a user base, they often have only an outline of the business, and this makes them unsuitable for DCA, because the value is inestimable, at any time the competition can provide a better product, or the same product but faster making your investment worthless.

DCA bitcoin, gold, good stocks. Not low cap altcoins.
-cut-
Like ytanowy Janusz said, price of a one full coin doesn't matter, but i don't agree his claims about locaps not having finished products. Most of the altcoins haven't started with a finished product and most of them are not even "finished" as they keep developing. And then there have been overvalued icos that start from insane valuation and have only room to drop in price.

I would say that investing to lowcaps is ok, but only if they have something unique to offer and means to deliver it later. And by unique i also mean that the project is useful but unique approach to a problem that actually exist and isn't better to fix with a normal database. Many altcoins offer decentralized solutions to a problems that don't need decentralized solution. Those might have a finished product but they will die as no one wants to use them.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SUI a SCAM project or LEGIT? on: April 16, 2023, 11:07:32 AM
SUI conducted a TestNet program which lasted for almost a year and eventually they refused to airdrop their community who spend time and efforts to ensure the success of their project. instead of airdropping their communities they lured some few members of their community to participate in their presales. so, what is your opinion on this.? Is SUI a SCAM project or LEGIT?
Not necessarily a scam but are you asking only because of the airdrop? Because that might be only thing worth time in this. As a project i see this being similar to sol but sol devs are never going to jump ship for this so this most likely dies at some point as irrelevant. Or at least it stays low cap as i can see zero changes for this fighting from the top marketcap spots.
1926  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is losing? Finland joins NATO. on: April 15, 2023, 07:06:43 PM
How in the world dense are you? That you would think that the US and Nato are not at war with Russia. Look at all the money and armament that the US and Nato sent to Ukraine to fight Russia. World media is showing all about this. And you think that the US and Nato aren't fighting Russia? Lol. Cheesy

Finland into Nato is a show, just to make people like you think that Russia is losing, so you and others like you keep on supplying your governments with money to send to Ukraine. Average people of Finland and other Nato countries don't want a war with Russia. But they are getting it because the leaders are warmongers.
Your thoughts that we would be manipulated by our "leaders" is insane and from playbook of Kremlin propaganda. But sounds like you don't know how wars work either. There might be a "cold war", that's debatable but if nato actually joined in to actual war, oh boy you would know. And you are right that no one of us want the war, but most of us want to support Ukraine by arming them and supporting otherwise. If russia wants to start actual war because of it.

Russia withdrawing their forces and paying for their war crimes would be so much easier.
1927  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 15, 2023, 06:15:52 PM
^^^ The people of Finland aren't interested in a fight against Russia. They realize that their leaders are only joining Nato to make a show for the US and other Nato countries. This whole thing only shows how badly the US and Nato are failing... that they would pull a stunt like this to attempt to make themselves look good in the eyes of ignorant people in the US and many Nato countries.
You don't know what you are talking about. Our finnish "leaders" didn't decide to join to NATO without the approval of citizens (as if you knew how our goverment would work)- It was an overwhelming majority of the Finnish people who wanted in, that's one of the main reasons why our leading party changed their mind about joining. I know several people that were very much anti nato before 2014 Crimean crisis, and Russia attacking Ukraine was a last straw for majority of the people. If you think we wouldn't be in danger without nato you obviously haven't followed Kremlin propaganda. We have to. They were paving a way for Finland too. That woud have been just a matter of time. That's why we wanted in as fast as possible.

Punisher.eth Publishes Blockchain Collectibles Clock (v2023.3)

https://twitter.com/PunisherEth/status/1636870596960169985

Punisher.eth (formerly w3b.eth) is a personal favorite of mine in the Historical NFT space -- he's super dedicated to providing quality content and doesn't exhibit the bag bias that so frequently comes with the NFT Histooorian territory. Instead, he looks at blockchain collectibles from a fair and objective manner, and the latest version of his clock is jam-packed with cool information (which is why I'm posting it in full screen, still recommended to open the image in its own tab):

Most of the stuff I personally collect happened between 9 am (June 2014) and 4 pm (Mar 2018). The Namecoin stuff doesn't particularly interest me (as most of it has expired) and most Ethereum stuff is too new & plentiful. There's just something about collecting assets on popular Proof of Work chains that feels right, which narrows things down to Bitcoin and Dogecoin.

I can't see reddit nft avatars in there. Does he consider them insignificant event historically or is he even aware of them? They are already at gen3. Sadly you can't browse their shop with web broser but only with the reddit app it seems. But they have a real use case (people are using them as a special avatars, or even as parts of avatar. With 50 million active reddit users that are exposed to nft avatars, i think it's a huge thing for nfts.

If you don't have an app, you can find them in opensea, even though they are divided in different sections between the creators. But you can see some pics in here
https://www.reddit.com/r/avatartrading/

What do you think about the historical significance of reddit avatars op?
1929  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|✨Fury Games Legacy for $1 000 000 | Lamborghini Huracan & Crypto💸 on: April 15, 2023, 05:15:59 PM
When it comes to playing any game that depends on luck.  Then a limitation should be adopted so that even if we lose multiple times it does not cause us a big financial loss. Because when something depends on luck, its winning cannot be predicted or guaranteed in any way. Because of this, the betting strategy should be arranged in such a way that we can profit in any direction.  That will be the real success
Ok, can you explain the bold text to me because i couldn't figure it out. We literally either win or lose. So how can i profit from losing (if that's a direction)? Only way i can see this happening is that i "bet" in the markets and short it when direction is down. But i could lose with that if the markets would go up. So please elaborate on this great success.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How about put Lottery and Candy Crush on Chain? on: April 14, 2023, 08:57:59 PM
Lottery on-chain it's not new anymore.

We already seen this, so it's really a not new topic. Most of lottery are using "RNG" system, If you looking on-chain lottery you can take a look from "PancakeSwap". This decentralized exchange provided a lottery for their community.

It's already been implemented on the chain.
I don't think that any of them are using semi-fungible tokens (ERC-3525 protocol). But personally i don't understand the benefits of it or how this would work yet (compared to RNG)
Maybe op can shade some light and explain how ERC-3525 can be used for gambling and how that's superior to normal smart contracts we already have.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your take on the "seasons" topic? on: April 14, 2023, 08:41:05 PM
One rather overused term in crypto are "seasons". I admit getting sometimes a bit lost whether we have now "altcoin season", "memecoin season" or whatever else. There are also people who have theories about which season follows which. Was wondering - is their anything more than anecdotal evidence for the existence and order of said "seasons"?
Altcoin season is just another term for a long term bullrun that covers most of different altcoins. I haven't heard the phrase memecoin season, i think that's invented by someone who wants to hype memecoins. I would call "memecoin season" as a meme coin trend. Difference to season would be that trends are very much shorter.

And there are only 2 "seasons": Summer (Bull) and Winter (Bear).

Someone might disagree with me as there are no real definitions to my knowledge to these terms. They are just memes from long time ago
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tilt in gambling on: April 14, 2023, 08:35:06 PM
It's not enough to breathe in and out, you have to walk in the park for three hours in the fresh air I think that's better Undecided
I would advice this too. And preferably with a dog, to get your mind elsewhere. I sometimes require days to get my cool head back. There are ton of ways to deal with emotions and ton of books and courses for that so i am not going to get any deeper. In my case long walks in the forest. Doing something completely different that makes you happy and takes your mind elsewhere.

If you like gaming with your playstation or pc, that feeling can be similar to gambling. As you'll get to same kind of zone. But not same tactics work with every person. OP needs to find his/her own way.
1933  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 14, 2023, 08:21:55 PM
I think today all active freebitcoin users who have gold tickets are of course waiting for the announcement of the winner of Lambo Round 8, to be honest I didn't expect too much and imagined to be a winner, I believe that luck exists, so whoever wins I hope he is an active user on this forum is like the previous winner in Round 7 , to be honest not sure I won with one ticket but there is always hope no matter how small it is.

I'm still monitoring the freebitcoin site as well as this thread to see who's the winner, because this is the first time I've participated in this event by purchasing and owning 1 gold ticket from the free spins earnings there, which I've collected so far. if later I don't win in round 8 I will try again later in Round 9, I believe luck will come to people who never give up  Wink
Well it isn't going to be me as i have zero lambo tickets, but i sometimes wonder if there are many inactive accounts in FreeBitco that have won prizes, not on lambo draw but for example i had some referrals that occasionally give me tickets on lottery rounds. And since there was a one person who once won with one ticket they might have got it via referrals (as you get 2 tickets by rolling free btc). That person might log back in some day and find out that he/she is freaking rich as bitcoin keeps rising.
1934  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of crypto casinos with high wagering requirements on: April 14, 2023, 08:11:00 PM
Are those considered high? Because those look normal numbers to me. I don't often try to get bonuses but when ever i tried to those are the requirements. Come to think of that's why i don't hunt for bonuses anymore. But i might if i knew there might be better deals.

But if they are not i would like to see a list of casinos with low wagering requirements as in comparison. Preferably list of older casinos with high trust rating.

Edit: oh you was talking about no-bonus deposits. I misread. That's tough but are those for all deposits or first one? Because if i remember correctly i had to do that in some places once for legal reasons and i was clear.
1935  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asking me for KYC although their site explicitly states no KYC on: April 14, 2023, 07:55:29 PM
There's no mentioned if the casino will not ask KYC if you're use cryptocurrency to play, see the terms below:

Know your customer (kyc)

After registration process the User shall provide JustBit with valid identification information under these Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. The User shall undergo KYC procedure after completing the registration of User’s Account and:

   Before first withdrawal of funds irrespective of the amount;
    In case of a deposit for the sum equal to or exceeding 2000 euros or its equivalent in virtual currency;
In case of depositing in amount of 7 500 euros (or its equivalent in virtual currency) or more (by several installments) by the same User during a month.

Virtual currency is cryptocurrency and it has been mentioned they will ask to submit KYC in your first withdrawal, so it's your fault for not check the terms carefully. I don't know where and how you can make a conclusion gamble using cryptocurrency is free from KYC.
Their marketing is misleading, and that might be understatement. I would even say that they are blatantly lying on their front page. So this is why you would need to always read TOS, even though no one ever does. But i can't see how anyone would see this as legal or moral marketing.

But hiring a lawyer would not worth money and you would need to kyc anyway. So i would say that OP should either KYC up or settle for bad review/scam accusation. I wouldn't put my money in there just because of that ad. If they lie on that who know what else they are lying about.
1936  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is losing? Finland joins NATO. on: April 14, 2023, 07:31:10 PM

At this point, since there is much conflict already, and Russia has given Nato ultimatums that Nato is disregarding, why should Russia make more threats against Nato? When the time comes, Russia will have to get serious about war... and do it... against all of Europe and the US. And it seems like China and some other countries will side with Russia.
-cut-
They are doing all they can already and still russia is losing men left and right. Putin has a cancer special medical operation and Putin's Russia is near total collapse. Everyone with a brain and means to do it has already fleed the country. And if by "getting serious" you mean Russia nuking Ukraine, china wouldn't side with Russia after that. No one would. Well North Korea might but when your only friends are North Korea you might have F*cked up.

Finland is in because Nato is losing, and needs all the help they can get.
Cool
Nato is literally gaining more ground and isn't at war with russia so how is it losing exactly? And for sure, Finland could have probably defended ourselves as well, as we have done it in the past but as Russia haven't attacked on nato countries, why wait for them to attack.
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto world without CEXs...How would it be? on: April 14, 2023, 11:11:17 AM
-cut-
At least, truly-decentralized cryptocurrencies won't be going anywhere soon. The odds of a "full blanket ban" are slim, so there should be no reason to worry about CEXs disappearing anytime soon. Maybe restrictive countries like the US, China, and Russia will come to their senses soon? Just my thoughts Grin
Sure, but without fiat ramps (aka cexes) it would mean that people would need to trade and use cryptocurrencies without trading them to fiat. If this would happen in a larger scale it would most likely mean fall of the whole fiat system. Nations would break apart and it wouldn't happen in peace. I don't see that happening either.

The USA. tries to restricts as much as possible against cryptocurrency companies, banks support cryptocurrencies as they are reviving Operation Choke Point after its previous failure enforcement in Obama time.

I don't believe US. congress and US. citizens will allow their government to ban cryptocurrency completely. That is a free nation and the voice of their citizens has its power.
I was aswering to hypotetical question about CEXes being banned. That would automatically mean fiat pairs being banned, meaning loss of liquidity and lack of fiat ramp.

I don't have clear opinion about US politics but i got the sense that everyone in there wants to weed out corruption and of they want to prevent money laundering and corruption, forced auditability and control of money are pretty much only ways to do it. US citizens doesn't quite seem to understand what consequences comes with the concept of being "free".

Who would you rather fight? 🤔

A @StakeEddie-sized duck or a 100 duck-sized @StakeEddie's? 👊🦆

https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1645940795080409088
100 stakeEddies could most likely form some sort of hive mind and would probably arm themselves. Now i am not sure how tall StakeEddie is but Even If it would be a big duck it could only use beak and wings but that's it. Duck would probably get all confused about mirrors and windows or get ran over by a car.

So all in for 100 duck-sized eddies. I really wish i could actually net on this. Maybe in the future with all the cloning tech.
1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: April 13, 2023, 05:57:13 PM
All in a bid to ensure I have a concrete investment plan this year, I researched some of the altcoins that has the potential to yield the best return over a duration of 5years. BTC and Eth top my list as one of the more secure coins, but other altcoins have proven to be reliable overtime, if you agree. Despite market volatility and the possibility of a crash, which is your most valid choice right now.

*If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency that will make me a billionaire, Which one do you think would be a better choice, besides BTC and Eth of which I have grown accustomed to?

- $BTC *
- $ETH *
- $ADA
- $VET
- $SOL
- $MATIC
- $SHIB
- $NEAR
- $DOGE
- $DOT
- $LINK

These are some of the best I have seen so far.

*What advice would you give me?

Wanting be a billionaire with one investment is pretty much tells us why don't you have 40k to invest. I can pretty much guarantee that 40k isn't paying for you to be millionaire in any of the coins / tokens you included in that list. High marketcap coins have only so much room to grow

And key is not to invest something on something that moons. When we talk about altcoins it also requires for you to have an exit plan. And when we talk about all in one coin that's not being a "billionaire" if you are sensible. You wouldn't even have decent liquidity to exit.

If i had to bet on any of those i would be betting on eth because of their new deflationary tokenomics and because every smart developer out there is building on eth. But that's not going to make you billionaire.

No good bounty like signature as well for good money. What can do for all hunter??? Huh
Yes there are, plenty. But maybe focus improving on your content first if you are planning to get any of those.
example: this is all the content from your latest topic

Quote
shere your option, why you want money now?? Roll Eyes
Now ask yourself, could you do better? Are you making an effort?

And current topic has only few words and it's already a grammatical nightmare.
I wouldn't even mind on that since english isn't your first language and it can be hard, but i can't see any real content either.
For grammatical errors you can always use some spell / grammar checking services but if you don't want to write any decent content and put ton of more effort into that, why would anyone want to include their banner to your account?
