1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tougher decision this year. on: October 29, 2018, 05:50:54 PM
As we are approaching December in just over a month's time which will be the most favorable cryptocoin to invest?
Honestly-I think that this year we will not see growth. Yes, December is traditionally considered the month of crypto, but I think not this time.

Who knows. It's not over til it's over. 2 months still is ample time fot crypto to have considerable growth, though i'm not expecting something comparable to last year. But hey, for a decade december has been good to crypto, probably it will still be.
1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: October 29, 2018, 05:48:33 PM
there are two choices between ICO and the market,
1, if you buy at ICO it means you help to grow the initial altcoin that you invest with your money, and you have to wait for the increase not in the near term.
2. if you buy it from the market you grow it when the altcoin you buy has grown. and surely the price is cheaper than the ICO price.

The problem is that a big percentage of icos nowadays end up not even getting listed. Even those that seem to be good on paper end up dying. So it's quite a gamble really now to invest in icos compared to those that are already available to be traded.
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do You Think A Bull Run Is Really Coming on: October 29, 2018, 05:42:02 PM
I do not think there will be any bull run simply because everyone is talking about it and waiting for it earnestly! The bull market is not on schedule or plan. The growrh and development however will happen and this will increase the value of quality coin in the market!

You got it good there dude. With many people having high expectations this december, a lot would probably end up the year with disappointment, myself included. Though i'm not losing hope as well since it won't take a long take off if we are to make a run. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: December is coming no real growth for alts yet... on: October 29, 2018, 05:39:19 PM

People in the world of cryptocurrency are all hoping, expecting, praying and also wishing that come the end of this year -- December 2019 -- there can be a bull run for both Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrency market. Sadly, things are not yet picking up and I am not seeing big signs that we can have it this year.

I am concerned that if there will be bull run (even a mild one will do) this year, we can be starting the year 2019 with a gloomy mood setting up for the rest of the year a bearish situation. Of course, not unless maybe there can be that ETF thing approval from SEC maybe that can be the big difference.

We hope that your forecast will not be justified and by the spring of next year we will get an increase in capitalization of 100-150 billion. And ETF here exactly will not be the deciding factor.

Yeah don't pin hopes on an etf approval dude. It's likely going to have a very minimal effect. And a bull can be initiated in a snap of a finger if whales decide on it already so you don't really need to look for any signs of it coming. It can come as sudden as it can plunge.
1945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies must be careful on: October 29, 2018, 05:32:38 PM
Recently there have been several news about Etherum falling or bitcoin dumping or more still an altcoin dying
The truth is newbies are been deceived to sell cheap or buy expensive

Newbies need to work and trust their research power and not be intimidated by any news

in my opinion not only beginners who must be careful in investing because the risks obtained are certainly comparable with our beliefs and expectations in investing because the risk is in the hands of investors

You are right, in the so called veterans get scared if the market takes a sharp turn.  It's all about individuals, we must learn to be patient when we invest.

Yeah this is quite common especially in sudden plunges though when you say veterans, these are people who've probably been in the same situation several times before. So they're less likely to fall victim to panic. But it still happens at times.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm afraid of losing money on: October 29, 2018, 05:29:50 PM
Hey, guys!

I become more and more nervous about my crypto safety.
I used different wallets for different coins before and now I want to choose one wallet for everything.
I have Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple.

The point is that even the biggest and as I thought the most reliable wallets have problems these days.
Money disappear somewhere, there's problems with access and withdrawals.

Can you recommend me a good, safe and reliable wallet, please?
I'm sure you have more experience in it.

Stick with MEW. It's simple, easy, and definitely secure if you're careful enough not to lose your keystore files or your json file. It's pretty reliable although there have been reports that there were phishing sites about MEW. Nonetheless, it is user error if they gave in to phishing sites.

Well just as you said, most of the time it's user error that makes them lose money. First thing to remember is that it doesn't really matter how secure your wallet is unless you take care of your safety keys. Even having a hard wallet is pointless if you're that careless.
1947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Managing Your Altcoin Assets on: October 29, 2018, 05:26:36 PM
there is no guarantee for now to hold many altcoins for so long, the listing price may look good, but it will go far down even the price will die after so long, it's better to hold a few coins that already have good performance, such as allocating on eth or bitcoin

There are also many alts worth investing on that just eth and btc but you're right. Going for lesser known alts may be a bit of a gamble now since not many of them have good following. Some can go way down after listing and can take forever to recover.
1948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading is unhealthy? on: October 26, 2018, 05:58:22 PM
it's just about feeling when trading. healthy or unhealthy in trading is on us personally. I personally consider trade as a hobby and game, so that health is maintained. trade with targets and scheduled. is good for health. do not overpower the body to monitor prices every minute. it will be very bad for health. so set your trade at a certain time. determine profit targets. and stop when the target has been reached. or time has run out.

Right. Proper attitude and balance will always be the key in maintaining a good trading environment. Don't treat it like life and death hangs on it. It has to be something that you can set aside if situations ask for it.
1949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My luck is very bad for crypto trading 😞 on: October 26, 2018, 05:55:59 PM

But finally, an education has realized that if you buy a coin for long or short time, then you should check price minimum one time every day.

This is one of the reasons that your chance is very bad. Actually, this is not related to your chance. If you are trading crypto you must stay at least 4-5 hours in front of your computer or mobile.

That's the reason why you have to put in time to understand and study this market so you won't have to end up relying on luck and chances. Gaining knowledge and experience definitely increase your chances of ending a trade with good results. We can't remove the fact that sometimes it'll seem that the starts really are against us but being knowledgeable is a fallback already in itself.
1950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paying for education on: October 26, 2018, 05:52:03 PM
I have not paying for trading learning, but i think your idea is a good one and maybe some people will join that and pay for learning. Until then others people can watch videos on youtube and learn from there or just test directly with small sums and see how is going, if they make profit in short, medium or long term.

Paying for educate yourself is not a good way for our economy because teaching will always makes our economy more powerful otherwise giving money and learning is not about teach it is only for money.

Lol. Most things right now aren't for free. Even now i'm seeing advertisements about crypto learning and i don't think there's anything wrong with paying so you can have better knowledge from experts. It will benefit you in time anyways.
1951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy new coins? on: October 26, 2018, 05:48:48 PM
I buy and earn new coins, like most of us here. I am long term trader, only like that is possible to make some profit with not so big risking. I cant guess which number of new coins will succeed in future, reach some high price and strong community, some will succeed some will fail, I think we need to diversify and have more coins in possession, just one is to big risk. So people start to buy cheap coins after your research, now its the moment to buy a lot of coins with couple dollars, in future, just one coin will be a lot of dollars.

It's more on the earning for me through bounties. I don't really feel confident about new coins especially nowadays and the risk is too much for me to spend out of my own pocket. Though back in the days it was quite worth the risk. Now it sems there are more scam than legitimate ones.
1952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run Signals on: October 25, 2018, 05:45:21 PM
Based on last year/years bull run, what do you consider to be signals that indicates this kind of movement? Do you see these in nowadays' BTC/Altcoin markets?

Nope. We are still in 2015 of last Bitcoin cycle. Far from 2017, the year you are talking about.

yeah this is true. though the cycle is a lot shorter this time (~9 month bear market as opposed to ~14 month bear market last time), but yeah we're in the equivalent to the spring of 2015 right now.

Probably we'll be in a new bull market sometime in the next 1 - 5 months. End of Q1 2019 at the latest.

It's pretty random if you ask me. We don't know when the whales would start a snowball effect and pump the price to start fomo. It's hard to base when from past bull runs since what caused it then may very well not have the same effect now.
1953  Economy / Economics / Re: What manipulators want on: October 25, 2018, 05:42:12 PM
so many price manipulators want one of them they want to make a lot of traders panic so that they will make the price of cryptocurrency cheap and maybe they want to try to buy it at cheap prices by utilizing traders who are very affected when there is bad news.

Well it's given that they want more profit for their pockets. If you could manupulate the price to achieve more money why won't you right? In this kind of industry, profit comes first for those high rollers.
1954  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it the best time to buy cheaper crypto while Bitcoin is at high price? on: October 25, 2018, 05:39:13 PM
yea , the best thing to do when bitcoin are quite stable is by buying altcoin , for more safe i think buy popoular coin like STR , XRP , LTC etc
I agree. It is hard to stay in bitcoin because it is expensive unlike other altcoin that is more cheaper but some altcoin are worth because they are easy growing and can give good profit even for trading. You have to take opportunity on altcoin when bitcoin is unaffordable at the moment and gain profit from it to invest on others.
I also prefer good, authentic and reliable coins the ones you mentioned here. If you don’t have enough money to invest in bitcoin then you should think about Altcoin investment, because there are thousands of coins in the market and you may be scammed by scammers while projecting new ICO. Never invest in any anonymous Altcoin.
The importance of this very discussion cannot be overlooked. It is the need of the day to be able to distinguish between the good and the bad coins. Of course people will loose money to the scammers until and unless they are able to decide what to invest and when to do so.

Besides, to be on a safe side while investing, one should go for the top coins in the market list regardless of what the price in the market is. This definitely helps avoid the loss that you might otherwise counter by investing in ICO and coins you have no knowledge about. It is the best time to go for these coins which has had a good history.
In my opinion the best option for investment in low price coin is Ripple. The price of Ripple is below $1 and you can buy big quantity with low investment. it is fast growing coin and also reliable. It can give you huge profit in the future. You can trust it the most and I guess that it will cross Ethereum in the future as it has crossed already in the past.

Well i doubt there are s lot who'd prefer to part with their btcs in favor og alts when the price is high. Most btc holderd would just wait for their prospected exit point and sell rather than buy alts during a bitcoin run.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: October 25, 2018, 05:36:01 PM
I only focus on online soccer gambling, because I really like soccer games, so I like to bet there. also playing football concole games with bets too.

Well it's always sensible to make bets on games you know a lot about since that would make your chances of winning considersbly higher. Playing with something that interests you means you know factors that will affect a game's outcome.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 25, 2018, 05:26:01 PM
The Lakers badly need a win now
Bashers are making fun of him now and there's a joke that has been rotating on social media.

Kobe Bryant jokes that he would come out of retirement if the Lakers start 0-5
Kobe Bryant jokes he will return to the Lakers if they start 0-5

They need seriously our Kobe!  Grin
Well, Kobe will not return because they won against Suns today. Its their first win and Cavs-turn-Lakers fans now are happy because Lebron got his first win already in LA.

I'm not saying that the Lakers are not a good team but for me, I think they cannot compete with the other all star teams like Warriors or Rockets. They are too overrated and we see that most of their players are young and inexperienced. This is my opinion only Smiley and I wish the Lakers will go to playoffs (I think they will yeah) Cheesy/

Well a lot of teams have bounced back strong from an even worse start. It's just a few games in for this season and i'm pretty sure the lakers will have a good run one time or another. Hell that lineup would seriously contend for a good playoff spot if they can get their groove. Most of us are laughing at them now but wait til mid season at least.
1957  Economy / Economics / Re: What if there is a natural disaster, such as an earthquake? on: October 25, 2018, 05:20:46 PM
Natural calamities caused by the force of nature is inevitable and if the damage to properties especially to power lines and communication infrastructure, these can really affect the volume of a certain crypto and may affect a slow trend downwards.
To some extent you are right that the demand for crypto will be affected and those people who are damaged due to natural disasters would not be able to invest in cryptocurrency. With low demand price may fall and for a period of time the whole crypto market will go down, but it is not sure that natural disasters will surely influence the crypto market.
I think if an earthquake will occur especially a strong one,it will automatically lost the signal and internet access in that particular area will shut down.Crypto transactions will be paralyzed temporarily but when we talk of the crypto market,i think it will not be affected that much.

Obviously. Crypto runs on certain factors than can very much be affected with severe natural disasters. Technology runs on electronics which can easily be toppled if mother nature decides to. Everything can and will be affected dradtically.
1958  Economy / Economics / Re: Sick and tired of the cryptocurrency bullshit!!! on: October 25, 2018, 05:17:40 PM
You have tired with bitcoin and altcoin price always on drop, but you have keep waiting and looking best time for getting bitcoin and cryptocurrency will be on the top price, everything will be possible at bitcoin and cryptocurrency price.

This will become another "if I would just hold it" moments in Dec.
I think the number of panic sellers are increasing because they're not ready to wait. I know may peoples are disappointing with bitcoins value and its rate. Instead of increasing its decreasing but it doesn't mean bitcoin is destroying.
This is due to a bearish trend for almost the year and those investors that can't wait for the bounce back are now in panic to find any option to sell their coins at cheaper price. If this trend will continue for next year, I don't know if we can't attract new buyers in crypto.

Had this being the other way round like market kept on rising this people would have appreciate it and said all good things. Only thing it is down people are getting negative about it and forgetting that it gonna be volatile. Some time it will fall and other time it will rise.

Well there are less panic sellers and weak hands in thr market right now to drag us all down, hence the quite steady price. Plain and simple, if you think it's bs and you can't cope with the crazy movements, then it's probably not for someone like you in the first place.
1959  Economy / Economics / Re: Is technical analysis negatively affecting cryptocurrencies? on: October 25, 2018, 05:14:46 PM
I think it has a positive effect on the contrary, because each time it creates the opposite dynamics to what was predicted by analysts

As far as I am concerned, Technical analysis is just a part of the market, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. It certainly does not affect anything positively or negatively, they just seem like some trends or something, even though it is something that a lot of people have collectively placed there themselves, but in the real sense, it is just some normal thing to just trade the market.

Well, if we say TA sucks, maybe we should try not even using TA at all and see how that would turn out. The problem with the market entirely is that is more speculative in nature, but that has so many difference from TA on its own.

Right. Ta's affect directly the person who uses it or those that rely on tips by people who use it. And the effects vary since not all who know ta can have all positive outcomes. There will be failed trades based on ta and successful ones but no general effect on the market itself.

China Threatens Overseas Tax Havens, Will Investors Flock to Crypto?
Since early 2018, the government of China has tightened policies targeting millionaire investors in the country holding their wealth overseas to avoid large taxes, and it may lead local investors to alternative assets like crypto.

Chinese investors rely on the Swiss offshore banking industry, Hong Kong real estate market, and foreign stock markets to hoard millions of dollars worth of properties, assets, and cash outside of mainland China.

But, local financial authorities have started to crackdown on investors that amass significant wealth in overseas markets.

Will Investors Move to Crypto? https://www.ccn.com/china-threatens-overseas-tax-havens-will-investors-flock-to-crypto/

Blockchain is an open ledger! And if you manage to prove the connection between a person and a wallet, then all his money will be in full view.
I think they will do it to reduce the tax. Blockchain really help a lot in some things but also will affect a lot to some things. But this is a great technology. I hope to have someone create a new blockchain technology and will minimize the negative things that Blockchain is bringing to the world.

We probably are overlooking the fact that it's not going to be easy for chinese investors to simply move to cryto considering their government's stand against it. And we all know how the chinese government pretty much controls most movements inside their country.
