1981  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's effect on IT sector? on: March 03, 2022, 09:48:06 PM
The main strength of the Russian economy so far has been in its mining products, so if America continues to impose sanctions on Russia, of course this will also cause industrial panic in Europe, Russia is the largest nickel producer in the world, which is around 20%, besides that they also produce such as aluminum, gold, copper, bauxite, and also oil and gas which are the basic needs of European countries, as the largest producer of mineral mines, of course America sanctions may not be too bad affect Russia in the future, because Russia may sell their products to countries outside Europe who are also not America's allies, I think the sanctions imposed by America will affect their own economy because so far America is a consuming country that brings raw materials from other countries other countries including from russia.
Obviously, it will have some impact on Europe and that is undoubtful, and it may even cost a little more for them. But what Europe is trying to do here is that, since they are rich and they can pay top price for these things, and since Russia is sanctioned from them, that means Russia will have to sell it to other nations who are not as rich as the west.

And that means Russia will have to sell it for cheaper, sell to china, sell to India, sell to anywhere that accepts it, even Africa if they have to. In that case the cheaper product would be bought from that third nation, for a lot less and Russia would not make that profit as the same. Like assume there is a thing costs 100 bucks to sell to west, west declines it, so you sell it to 50 to Nigera, then west buys for 80 from Nigeria. You see west made a profit of %20 on each sale, and Nigera made a profit as well, whereas Russia made a 50% loss.
1982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 03, 2022, 08:23:18 PM
Well, I guess it was quite hard for them to 'just win'. Because it's really hard to come back from a two-goal deficit.
But they tried, I would say luck wasn't on their side.
And about the final, I think Nice is going to be the winner because they already beat FC Nantes twice pretty recently.
Or maybe there could be a twist in the tale. But I really think Nice will win.
Monaco is trying their best for having something good in this season, but their performance is unpredictable, and their luck is also not favoring them for having some better chance in this cup, so they drop two penalties and give Nantes a dream entry into final. Now they have two very tough tasks in their coming matches first against inform Marseille and second against Braga in Europa cup if they want to do something positive in this season then surely they need to do something special against these teams because if they fail to give better results then surely they are going to be in hot waters.

With very good form surely Nice is hot favorite for winning this cup but nothing is sure in these cup games and any team can give shocking result with Nantes is coming after very long time in this final, and they already beat PSG, so we can expect some good game from these two teams.
1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 03, 2022, 07:10:24 PM
Increasing the prize money is a welcome step, but the ICC need to do more. They need to include more teams in the world cup. A competition with 8 teams (where all of them qualified as a result of their ranking and test status) can't be termed as a world cup. They need to expand the tournament to at least 12-14 teams. And another thing is that the qualification criteria is ridiculous. Thailand was on the top of the qualifier tournament points table, but the ICC denied them entry to the world cup saying that their ranking is too low.
Apart from ICC, boards also need to do something to promote this event in there jurisdictions. Hardly anyone in my country knows that there is women cricket WC going on, though our team is participating in this WC. Like men cricket, there is lack of test playing countries that have teams of WC standard in women cricket also. Its good at least we have 8 teams of women that can play WC, cant expect anything good from ICC and big 3 for cricket.
I agree with your statement it's 12 edition of world cup with nearly 49 years, and we have never any good marketing or better things from ICC or any relative board about this event and Australia is dominant power in this competition with 6 wins and England is second team with 4 wins and besides them New Zealand is other team who won this event mean it is doing around just very few teams with few others like West Indies and India have chance for qualifying into final.

But here we have no complaint because this is only sports authority which is never been involved in any progress of this game so just because of their policies now we are losing teams in men's cricket so having not good quality and too many teams in women's are not unusual. But if they do some work surely we can have some good number of teams in both events because now with new formats it has some good chance.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2022, 06:02:54 PM
I'm not sure about the survey sample. Based on a survey conducted by Blockfi 33% of women are interested in cryptocurrencies. Among them 60% women gonna buy cryptocurrencies in the falling few months time. The same study in the previous year have resulted with a 29% and what we have got is growth.
It looks you are not really sure because there is an error the way you type the text. If there is only 33 percent that are interested then why 60 percent of them are going to buy a crypto? I'm expecting that the buyers are lower than 33 percent.

Women are more on the long term because they are thinking about the future of their kids but men are more on a short term satisfaction only. They take profit because they gamble it and do the things that gives them instant gratification. Women holds btc eth and doge because these three coins are the safest and the most popular. They are new in cryptos anyway so they don't take risk on unfamiliar assets.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 02, 2022, 07:42:23 PM
I think it's a very unethical comparison between Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez, in the Guardiola era Barcelona's condition was not as bad as it is today where they have to cut player salaries to be able to register new players, plus the player transfer market which is relatively no luxury signings compared to Pep Guardiola's era. able to bring Ibrahimovic to Henry. But so far Xavi has given his best for Barcelona despite having to be eliminated from the Champions League event early.
I wouldn't say "unethical", I would say unfair, but unethical is something else. It means doing something outside of ethics, and you could compare any two person without going into ethical deal of the situation. Unfair however is the right word because Pep took a team of superstars, the roster Barcelona had those years were already awesome and he left as soon as he realized that his players were getting older and he needed something better. Bayern and then City and now he is happy all over again.

Xavi on the other hand took over after a team that sucked so badly that they had to fire their manager. Give him some time and he could turn Barcelona around in a few years and make them awesome again fighting for a UCL title.
1986  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 02, 2022, 07:08:14 PM
I wasn't sure about what to say neither. I mean we never know what bitcoin will do and that is always a shock to all of us. Maybe it will be 100k by the end of march, maybe it will be under 30k, and none of us would "know" it, we can try to predict or guess or assume but we would never really "know" it because that's something else.

Knowing is like for certain things, like saying I will breath to stay alive, or 2+2 is 4 and those kinds of things, we never really know anything. That's when I realized, if knowing is impossible then I could say what I predict or what I guess because that's all we are asked for. That's why I said yes, because I guess it could stand higher than that, but I just guess it of course.
Yes, we can only guess it without ever knowing whether it is right or wrong. If that's true, we are fortunate because we thought it right, and we could sell it at the next highest price. Maybe I'll make 2 different plans in case things turn around to adapt to the situation and who knows if I can use that time well.

Indeed I can also guess roughly where bitcoin will go, but I don't think that's necessarily true because I'm not an expert in analyzing the market. Besides, I often misanalyze, so I guess it's better if I just wait and do something that might benefit me in the future.
That knowledge that nobody really knows and everyone is just predicting makes you feel a lot more relax. That way you could say anything you want, you could say it will go up, you could say it will go down, you could say anything and everyone will have to just say okay and move on. Doesn't mean that they will be making investment just because you said something, that would be weird and that wouldn't probably happen.

However, nobody could say "how do you know!" anymore, because you are just going to respond with "everyone makes a prediction, and this is mine" and get away with it. The moment I realized that, life became a lot more easier for me.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine now adds Polkadot address for donations on: March 02, 2022, 03:19:49 PM
It is very possible and will continue whether BNB, TRX, and others, hopefully continue to increase donations for humanity, so that the world community at least knows the other functions of crypto itself and the message implied in it, as Mr. abittraffic said "This is how crypto will be adopted everywhere around the world".
It is, because not all people are using the cryptos that they currently support and a bunch of these people would also want to try to donate but they can't do it for now, for the same reason. I don't know but maybe they are now negotiating the people that handles the donation to support more cryptocurrencies.

This is an eye opener to some people that who thinks cryptos are only meant to be for investment, they will now know that cryptos can also work well for this purpose or anything related to it. Cryptocurrencies will be adopted not only because of its different use cases but also because it can pass thru some heavy restrictions.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: March 02, 2022, 01:48:31 PM
Another dating site? Well, this is up to you, if you feel that this would be worth it, then you can go ahead and invest in it. But, on a normal one thing that I do not like about new coins or coins with a small market cap is that they tend to be more volatile than the bigger ones, and they are also the ones that faces much of the market price manipulation.

But that is not to discourage you, if you feel that the project is good, if dating site is kind of a something that interests you, then you can go ahead with it. Personally for me I think I would need something a little more than that for me to be convinced to invest in these, because for someone like me, I can hardly be impressed by that.
So, it is basically a dating site? Sorry that’s not my thing. But if you feel it’s going to be worth it for you then you can invest in it. But, dating sites don’t really make that much, do they? I hardly even see anyone saying that they are making use of dating sites and the few that I see who are using are only making use the most popular ones and they even don’t make use of constantly, it might be just once in a while.

It’s not a like a social media where you post contents and people engages in it. So, do you think this one will be able to compete with what it’s already there? Investment is all about risk, anyways, you can still give it a shot, but left for me it is a no.
1989  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 02, 2022, 09:55:19 AM
I voted for I don't know because I do not feel confident to say that BTC will hold $40k. Perhaps, if the price can back to $45k, BTC can hold and not go down to $40k. But as we know that anything can happen. If BTC's price can break and back to $45k and still have a green candle, the bullish trend is coming, and it will only be a matter of time the price will be back to $50k. We are still at the earlier month, and the price can be up and down for more, so perhaps, $40k will get retested again.

1990  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 02, 2022, 04:40:09 AM
They probably would, but it isn't to say that it would be easy, especially on the lower class. The rich are probably prepared for it, there were some early signs that they could've used to stash their savings safely, plus they have the connections to make it happen. They'd survive alright, but it'd be pretty hard. I hardly doubt Putin wasn't prepared enough to experience this much sanctions when he started this, he probably expected more tbh. He wouldn't start this issue if he wasn't prepared thoroughly for it imo.
Right? I also have the same thought , that he definitely had it in mind that this was going to happen and he had himself prepared for it before going for this. But sometimes it can always backfire, things won’t usually go as you have planned it , so it is also possible that whatever he had planned would end up failing him, it does happen.

So in a situation like that, when he starts to notice that things has become tough and that his subjects are no longer happy with him, he’s definitely going to feel the need to stop, because they are really going to pressure him when the economy becomes screwed and his plans ain’t working no longer.
1991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 02, 2022, 03:16:44 AM
I understand that football players and all other athletes who were banned from international competition will suffer and it's not their fault. But I think it would be wrong to let them play like nothing didn't happened.
It's same like not casual Russian people started war, but they will suffer most from all sanctions and falling ruble. But that's consequences of their elected president actions.
Why would it be wrong not to punish people from Russia when it is Russia that is doing this? I mean I always hated that type of "it is Putin, not citizens" type of deal. Yeah sure there are some citizens who dislike this situation, but it is Russian soldiers who are attacking, those are citizens, it is Russians who supported Putin thus far, even if rigged elections, not many out there in the world saying bad things about him all the time.

How many players came out against Putin when playing another nation? Out of fear? Well Ukrainians are getting bombed and still against Putin, I am sure nothing worse could happen to them. So, do not give me players were innocent. All sanctions against Russia from Fifa is welcomed by me.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its a big red flag on: March 01, 2022, 08:05:53 PM
Avoid investing money on projects where their main point and focus is on the profits you will make, they promise fake guarantee also a a safeguard method that will make you very rich..this is a big red flag

If all the team talks about is money that you will earn without any explanation how they will make that happen and also no technical professionals behind it it's a big red flag.
It certainly is.

A project should be focusing on its development and that's what they should boast of and not on how much money you can make. If they have that type of guarantee and promise, it's likely that they'll giving false promises and that should be taken into account by potential investors.

Money will follow the project if the development is great but there's no guarantee that even it's successful, they're still prone into some rejections and possible losses at the start.
A good project is definitely the one that would talk about their project and not the ones that would consistently be talking about the profit that their investors would be getting from it, because they already know that showing true investors their plans is what would convince them to invest in the project and not really talking about the profit.

You don’t just be telling investors that they would be making up to 20% and you can’t elaborate on what it is really all about and how that profit would be coming. Such thing wouldn’t make sense to any investors that has been in the business for long and knows the in-and-out of it. So, it’s definitely a red flag for most of the people.
1993  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 28, 2022, 08:33:16 PM
I reported the exploit of the Jackpot system on this forum and Stake.com reported it to the developers. So the Slot was disabled, for the developers to work on the exploit and to relaunch it when it was fixed.

So I guess the developers saw an opportunity to still make money from this Slot, by simply removing the Jackpot system or they removed the Jackpot side of the Slot until they can figure out how to fix it.  Roll Eyes

In any way, I played it for a while and I ripped my whole balance.... so it is acting in the same way that most of the other Slots are doing currently... feed feed feed... pay small... feed feed feed...  Roll Eyes
LOL, that is exactly how slots work, aside from one in a million "oh my good look at how big the win is" to keep you playing if you played long enough, then feed feed feed sm.. same thing basically Cheesy All jokes aside that is a noble thing that you did to report the bug, that way they will be able to fix it and we could go on without a problem in the future.

I am sure they are just trying to figure out the problem and they are going to eventually find what it is and then bring it back when they feel like it is safe. Between the troubleshooting, fixing, and testing period it may take a while before it can comeback, even a simple website change takes time when things are wrong, so I understand why they are taking their time for something so important.
1994  Economy / Economics / Re: OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ? on: February 27, 2022, 02:09:28 PM
I think I am also going to focus more on NFT being creator of pencil art I’m struggling to list my arts. Sadly there are not many enthusiasts I believe? I’m trying my path through open sea and listing everything I have ever created.

Well since the crypto is down, I’m going to publish the NFT as much as I could and hopefully get the rewards at the current fiat rate. Once its done and clouds are gone surely crypto will come up and might just get hands on good profits for the hard work.  Cheesy
I believe there is a market for everyone, it doesn’t really matter what you are into, you just have to figure out how to make things work for you. Just like the op said: start selling something. You’re a pencil artist right, so you can still decide to selling your arts online and sending or shipping them to your clients in their various locations. You can be doing that and accepting cryptocurrency as payment for it.
You can as well look for ways that you can integrate it into NFTs.

I would advise you to look into digital art, I believe that since you’re already an artist, it wouldn’t be much if a challenge for you, it’s something that you will be able to do, you can be skilled in both ways, that would definitely be worth it.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 26, 2022, 09:04:25 PM
it was a hard-earned point at Old Trafford today and it can be regarded as more than just a point for Watford. It will give them a booster going into the next game but for Manchester United? It is just another disappointing show of play from the players. The game today summed up United campaign this season- "One step forward and two steps backward". One can't help but wonder if they can truly make the top 4 with Arsenal gradually getting their games off the line. Manchester United players have a mountain to climb.
Points wasted away.

Manchester united next 3 premier leaguematches are against :

- manchester city
- tottenham
- liverpool

They might be earned zero point against these tough opponents.
But yeah manchester united often give us a surprise by beating top clubs such as manchester city which hopefully so.
Really frustrated for fans of Manchester United as they are losing points against teams like Watford and Burnley as these are in relegation zone need must all points from them, but failure is going to give some big headache at the end of season now with three tough matches ahead mean after thirty rounds they will be slipped from this fourth position to sixth or seven because Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham all having some good chances to take over and give worst end of this season for them even new manager is doing very good effort but players body language is really not well-prepared for this all.

If they are able to give upset result then surely it's going to be had big change in table because with this few other teams also going to have benefit which is going to be very good for exciting end of this season.
1996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 26, 2022, 06:28:17 PM
Everton-M.City. A very important game for both teams. Everton need to win to stay out of the relegation zone. City on the other hand needs to win to race for the title. I think City will win. Because ManU had a goalless draw with Watford at home in an important match and crashed on the way to the championship. Tottenham beat their rival with good away football.
Currently, Everton is surely worst team in this league after Leeds United, but today they are doing very good job against very spirited Manchester City and not allowing them for having any solid attack which is positive from them because now they are on bring of relegation zone with having few very tough matches waiting for them in next few weeks currently against Manchester City and then next week against Tottenham it is not easy time for them, but today they need to do something match because it's very important for them to have some positive against team like Manchester City for staying in this league and spirited fight for next matches.

End of first half and both teams without any score, Everton need to stay here at this level for next 45 minutes could be great for them and their city rival Liverpool because then just 1 point gape and great finish of this season.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where is SHIB coin going? on: February 26, 2022, 05:40:35 AM
Shiba inu is one of those few meme coins that I'm ready to HODL for many years to come, I'm ready to take that risk because it's the only project that's very close to doge coin itself, having few millions of Shiba inu won't hurt even if something very bad happens.
What is the basic thing that makes you like Shiba Inu ? and even like to hold it in for the long haul, don't you make a big target for the Shiba Inu ? and one more thing is that every meme is always easier for investors to throw away, so what do you expect from a meme like Shiba Inu ?
He clearly said that shiba inu is the closest meme coin next dogecoin. That fact got him impressed to invest. He has a big target for shiba because he is investing a hundred bucks or more (that's a total cost for a few millions of shib) and he is willing hold it for a couple of years.

Again, shiba inu is not only close to dogecoin because of its dog logo but because it is also strong like doge. Strong because it is backed by big people in the industry and cant you see that shiba inu is listed on many top exchanges. This gives a reason for the investors to treat this coin like a normal crypto. If there are meme coins that investors throw away, those are just junk meme coins with not real support from big persons.
1998  Economy / Economics / Re: Who gain's from War ? on: February 25, 2022, 07:12:03 PM
It's not journalists who benefit, but the place where journalists work that make a lot of money, they can spread good news every day about the conflict. The warring countries suffered heavy losses, buildings were destroyed, innocent people became victims, the economy was crippled and the government could not work safely.
Not only that, the war between Russia and Ukraine has had an impact on cryptocurrency investment instruments, traders and investors has also become victims, because bitcoin and other alternative coin began to fall freely after being hit by the issue of war.  Neither side benefited from the war because after the ceasefire the two countries suffered severe damage.
Place where journalist work? But, there are still journalist on there and they can be among of the people that spread news so they earn as well but people living on those country are not blind and they know the true situation of their country because they can also see it. Journalist cant lie and say that there is a good news everyday because that is unbelievable when in fact there is a war that currently happens.

Cryptocurrency traders and investors are not a victim here but it was part of the market where prices can fall and its not only cause by the wars alone. Two countries might have damage but there must be one of them that at least won the battle. That can also be considered to as gain.
1999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning Bitcoin is Like Banning the Internet, Says Russia’s Finance Minister on: February 25, 2022, 05:39:21 PM
It really beats dictators hallow when they're incapacitated in controlling the masses. This is what Bitcoin offers. They aren't ever going to be happy for that. But there's nothing they can do to change the situation. If it were possible they would've done that and crippled Bitcoin long time ago. Russian should go ask China what she gained by banning Bitcoin; nothing! Again, anything that affects the internet will be like taking humanity decades back. Just imagine a world without telephones first before imagining a world without the internet. Bitcoin has come to stay. The earlier they know that, the better for their peace of mind.
If they can't ban bitcoin, then its better to stay away from bitcoin. Just like China did. But i think its even more impossible as bitcoin has become mainstream already in all parts of the world. Its either they chose to adopt this new technology with bitcoin, or being left out when it comes to countries who are eyeing on adopting blockchain technology. However, there is no final stand on whether Russia will ban bitcoin or not, but banning bitcoin for sure will only make their economy worse from the high inflation that has become inevitable.
There isn’t any difference between banning Bitcoin and staying away from it, unless what you mean by them staying away, is that you’re actually referring to their government staying away and allowing people to make use of it.

The decision they have made now is best for them, they chosen to legalize Bitcoin and start to regulate it in their country, that would be far much better for them. If they chose to ban it, then that would have been quite a loss for them; just like their financial minister have said, if they ban bitcoin, it’s just like them banning the internet; if you should ban the internet entirely, then where exactly would you belong?
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About USDT on: February 25, 2022, 02:46:28 PM
Please correct me if I got it all wrong, audited projects are projects that have passed some security checkup right? As a newbie I kinda like investing in projects that are audited atleast so back to my question, USDT is the biggest stable coin right? When I tracked it on coinmarketcap I found out that's it passed audits through Certik and Fairyproof, why haven't this clear the rumour that USDT might fail someday? Because it's Centralised? If that's it then why DAI ( decentralized stable coin) haven't grow over USDT all this while?
Audits only check the security but they cannot give a project a special power to become successful and not collapse. If I recall I have seen lots of audited projects (different audits including Certik) but why did they still fail and they are not showing up anymore? I think I am not a newbie anymore but like you I also like projects that are audited already because this can give us some confidence than choosing a project that are not audited.

The rumour of the USDT is an old issue but USDT is now very popular so I think it was cleared already. Same to bitcoin when btc is not yet popular, everyone calling it a scam but look at btc today and about DAI, it is also growing but you cant compare it with USDT because USDT  is more older than it. It was like btc and eth comparison.
