1121  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans are once again quitting their jobs at a growing rate on: January 13, 2023, 05:08:33 PM
I'm not advocating for the government but if you are the government, do you have a plan for the current crisis? Crises caused by wars and pandemics both come so quickly and unexpectedly that no one is ready to respond in time. Even a great power like the US is not so well prepared, much less should blame poorer countries.

Increasing wages is only effective when a country's economy is growing well, in this case if goods increase due to inflation and the government increases wages so that people are comfortable spending it will make inflation harder to control. A country's economy isn't as simple as you might think, raising wages won't solve anything.
Well, when something super unexpected happens nobody is ready for it at all. It is not even just about pandemic, which is a global thing that happened 100 years ago last time, so it is normal to be not ready for something like that at all, it was totally out of the blue and even if you could get ready for it a lot better, most nations turned that into political stuff and didn't want to do what is required to be safer.

Like masks and vaccinations which would have helped people save themselves, was turned into political ideology, politicians who got the vaccination went to get votes from people who didn't just for more votes. Hence, being ready wasn't the issue, not being willing was.
1122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie - need your advice after first trades (image joined) thnk you in advance on: January 13, 2023, 12:18:02 PM
started from 26$ basis jsut to get to know more about the movement and so on

, ended up to 26.51 after 6-7 days of very low risk trading

wanted to know your thoughts about those trades of mine ,
For a beginner in crypto space, I believe that you are in right direction. Instead of risking too much in the beginning days itself, I guess low in capital must be a great idea but you need to be high in technical analysis and need to strictly follow risk management principles to ensure similar kind of experience in upcoming days as well.

Slowly increasing your capital and accessing the nature of market like where market is heading kind of things will help to sustain for long run. Simply not rushing for profits will help you. Always have 2nd plans like trading in spot market and if market direction is not in favour then convert your trade into holding.
1123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price, January. $20000 or above possible? on: January 13, 2023, 08:33:41 AM
The price today surpassed 19k for a very short amount of time so reaching 20k during this month seems like a real possibility, however it would be interesting to see if we can go above that level as I expect for a strong resistance to take place there, still it is nice to see bitcoin finally showing some signs of a recovery as we were very close to the bottom for a very long time and this had a lot of people worried that the price could go even lower at some point in time.
Yeah, I thought so too because it's a really amazing thing that Bitcoin has passed $19K today even if only for a short time. And now that Bitcoin is showing another recovery by moving up in the last few days so a hit for $20K is unlikely to be hard to see within this month. I also want to see if strong resistance actually sets in once Bitcoin is at $20K again, as this is the recovery many have been waiting for in Bitcoin.
Everyone thought of that as it's too obvious already. Add in that $20k is not a foreign value anymore for BTC. I would only be sceptical if we are talking about those values who rarely reach by BTC or haven't been accessed it yet. BTC reaching $19k is not something that most of us are amazed of but it can only be amazing to those who are new on here. The first half of the month of January is almost done.

We still have another half. 15 days is still long so there are still a lot of things that can happen within this period. This won't be limited of course to increases or positive news but negative news can also hit us as we never saw or hear them for quite some time.
1124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bottom of the Bear Market...let's accumulate!! on: January 13, 2023, 07:18:10 AM
For those of you still trying to build out a Bitcoin stash you can be happy with, including those of you trying to get up to being a whole-coiner, this will likely be the last year you can make significant progress on that as it'll start getting real hard to accumulate tenths of a bitcoin when the price is mid five figures, high five figures, and in the six figures.
I agree that this must the last year where we could see the bitcoin prices trading below $20k levels. At the same time, I feel like it would be too early to speculate anything about six figures of bitcoin prices. Because, by history, bitcoin might need another halving to test anything beyond $100k levels.

I am personally into accumulating bitcoins for years as I never bother about the trends. Yeah, I have bought bitcoins almost everywhere from 65k to $16k levels in this current cycle.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 12, 2023, 07:00:31 PM
The honest thing is I know that the Bangladesh Premier League has generated a good amount of money so far. But I do not think a League is up to the standards when they cannot even provide an actual DRS system. They are just looking at the replay as DRS. That is bullshit.

Someone previously stated that the Bangladesh Premier League has made a good amount of money so far in almost all editions. The thing is we have not seen too many players or at least too many Bangladeshi players come forward through the Bangladesh Premier League. So my question is where does the money go? Bangladesh cricket board also has almost 900 crores BDT. And you are telling me that they cannot afford a good DRS system?
As I already posted BCB is having completely shit policy and political engineering killing their game and golden time for having more profit from this BPL because we all know Bangladesh is currently emerging economy and many big names and brands are doing investment here which can increase facilities and many other things related to sports, but they are down and out for taking positive change from this all which is not good.

DRS and many other things surely now needs to have good and fair results and this will also bring good intention from big players as well which needs to be done with this they also can increase their white ball pool which is necessity of the time because without this Bangladesh cricket will be suffered, and good investment will also increase their red ball game which is also important for the development of this game in this country.

https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/womens-cricket-in-afghanistan-lack-of-progress-a-concern-for-icc-1353307

The ICC has raised a concern regarding women's cricket in Afghanistan. As of now, Afghanistan is the only test nation without a women's team. Even associate nations such as Netherlands and Thailand are having strong women's squads and on the other hand Afghanistan despite receiving millions of USD every year in funds from the ICC hasn't managed to come up with one. ICC constitution makes it mandatory for full members and associate members to allow the development of women's cricket. So far the Afghan Cricket Board hasn't taken any steps in this direction.
Few months back there were few signals that Afghani authorities will soften their policies and bring better things for the country and youths of this country but recent development showing nothing happening, and we will have some dilemma for the Afghan cricket because this can cause ban on them or any other problem can happen which could be not good for the country and game because in last few months we have few good exciting players from this country, and they can do better in near future as well.

As in current situation they are not allowing women's for higher education which is surely more important than game I have feeling they will not allow this all and bring any soft policy for the women's cricket and few countries will try to have stick action against this situation which is not good.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 12, 2023, 08:32:01 AM
Not underestimating, but if Sevilla continues like this, I'm not sure they can get out of the Relegation Zone. unless they really try and come up with a nicer change.
Indeed two three seasons ago Sevilla were a pretty good team. But this season they haven't changed much tend to be in decline. Sevilla can always finish in fourth place. They can make it difficult for Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid to compete.
If I look, their main players for the season are gone. Furthermore they can't get a good change. They failed to do transfer management. Isco's arrival also piled up a lot of midfielders.
Lopetegui should have been able to prevent this bad transfer. Or they could start selling excess players in search of replacements for their two departing central defenders Kounde and Diego Carlos.
Maybe that's what they need? I mean it's obvious that they are not doing awesome, it's obvious that we are talking about a bad situation and people might wonder "why would they need to lose?" but the reality is that you can't get better before you hit the bottom. Sevilla may not go down, maybe their bottom was this and they will stay, but they need to have a few bad seasons in their entire history to go back wanting never to be there again.

Every generation all teams has to have like some terrible year, some great teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid wouldn't have bad years like THIS bad, but could be like 4th or 5th once every 20-30 years, and that would be a way to get better.

In addition to what you re-echoed statement, I just want to point out that signature campaign is sometimes just useless if users participating on it doesn’t provide good post spread in the forum to target more users that is not aware to the promoted casino. Most of the campaigns focus on gambling board alone while most of the user visiting this board is not all an active gambler and just posting for campaigns.

There’s still a lot of potential customer out there on Bitcoin and Altcoin discussion section since some risky traders are gamblers too.
I don't think long  signature campaign are anything but no effective.  If this were the case, then really large, reputable casinos would not have been running such campaigns for several years continuously.  And not only traders perceive this advertisement in the corresponding section of our forum.  Also, I think there is an influx of new users to the forum itself.  And some of them learn about the casino from this form of advertising and promotion.
And even if there are not too many such new players, I think that it is still profitable for large casinos to advertise themselves here in BTT in this way.
I think it is a bit about coca cola advertisement type of deal. Do we not know them? Are we hearing about them for the first time on TV when they have a commercial? Of course not, they are the biggest brand in drinking world and they are world famous and I doubt that there are anyone out there who do not know their name.

But, they keep using it, does it make you want to drink at that moment? Rarely, it is not really there. Then why do they even do it? Because if they don't, and other drink companies keep doing it, then other companies will get more and more customers. Same with signature campaign, it's not there to get customers right away, it's there to keep you in good position.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How profitable it is possible to invest in bitcoins in the new year 2023. on: January 11, 2023, 06:08:52 PM
Quickly, I'll like to give you an advice. When investing in Bitcoin remove the mindset of get rich quick or wealth. I will not guarantee you that bitcoin will make you wealthy but it can make you comfortable.
Bitcoin can only make you super rich if you are rich already and willing to invest much now.

For your question, this is the right time to invest in bitcoin but in order not to miss out, I'll advice you to divide the money you wish to invest into two, buy bitcoin with one and study bitcoin and other cryptocurrency well before you will invest the remaining money.
Trying to be very rich, very quickly is a hard sell and it will cause a lot of trouble. I have to say that the best thing to do would be making sure that you end up with a big plan for a long term. It's not going to be easy fix and it's going to take a while for anyone to handle it, but it will also be something very important for everyone to handle. If you could achieve such a thing then you are going to end up with a good profit, because long term is the way to make money in this market.

I know not a lot of people think of the long term as a way to profit, but that's the case, since you can't bring in 500 dollars and turn that into 5 million dollars in a week, why not try 30 years? That suddenly makes it possible.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 10, 2023, 09:32:55 PM
It's still a mystery where Ronaldo will go, the big EPL teams are starting to move quite sharply in the transfer market this season. like Chelsea, who have managed to get David Datro Fofana to strengthen their attack line, even Chelsea are also approaching several more players in the transfer window. Previously, in the transfer window last season, Chelsea were very interested in signing Ronaldo, but that faded after Chelsea's interest did not reach an agreement. Now, with the current situation where Ronaldo is without a club, will Boehly be interested in bringing in Ronaldo again. maybe it's not just me who hopes that Ronaldo can continue his game in the EPL, even millions of Ronaldo fans hope he can play in the EPL with another club.
Now that CR7 is at Al Nassr, there is a new entry of what the other clubs think, and the other players, seeing CR7's huge salary, I think the other players will begin to demand much more from their clubs, Otherwise, a player who wants to earn a lot of money will choose to go to Arabia to play good football, and this can generate an increase in the level of Arab football because they have the resources to be able to bring all the stars to their football. Perhaps CR7 is opening a new market and a new way of looking at football, it would be good if a league like the Arab one grew like in Europe.
First successful world cup and now having player like Cristiano Ronaldo mean things are going to be at this best for the Gulf soccer because we all know they have enough resources and investment which can bring top quality players from around the world into this region even few human rights activates are still chanting against them but no one caring about this all because players are having money beyond their thinking and now with the arrival of Ronaldo doors are also wide open for the success of them here in gulf region.

Before this contract things were surely not clear because before signing he tries his best for having any suitable club but sadly fail to arrange any better settlement and at the end of the day he decided about this which is surely perfect and having great revolutionary change for the Saudi Arab soccer and Gulf Soccer which is suddenly on the moon and now can take good advantage of this all with too many other players are also ready to player here in these clubs.
1131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance lots of FUD on: January 10, 2023, 03:08:52 PM
Binance are supposed to suffer some attacks considering their role in FTX collapse which gained them some new enemies from inside and outside the industry. I think they expected what is happening with them and are prepared for it. Despite the fact that there is no totally legit exchange in Crypto, but Binance have the experience and the community trust they need to overcome all these attacks, unlike FTX whose arrogant CEO caused losses for thousands of people.
I think it was basically a revenge situation. It could be coming from inside FTX or anyone that has connections to them and to the media at the same time and they are basically doing what should be done in the first place and attacking back to those teams now.

But, the reality is that Binance never had any issues and will never have any issues like this, they are a legit company and have always been one and all these rumours about them not being safe is just made up stuff to make us all leave binance and hurt them. I guarantee you that if there was something big going on there we would hear about it no doubt and it would not be just a maybe, it will be all out in the open.
1132  Other / Archival / Re: What casinos are safe on: January 10, 2023, 06:18:31 AM
None. Put money into casinos according to your requirements. On chain casinos are comparatively safer to off chain ones. But those are rare sight nowadays.
If Stake and other reputable casino that operating for a long time is not safe for you then your expectations about casino safety too high. Will you mind sharing what’s the definition of safe for a casino to be categorized to that? Casino already have a licensed which registers there company physical locations and other info for legality compliance. I believe the era of all casino is shady belief is over.

Besides even on chain casino can be dangerous if the casino use a malicious code that normal user can’t verify?

With your statement, It means that you are endorsing scam casino since it’s not safe right?
I think his main point is to compare on-chain casinos between off-chain casinos, where on-chain casinos doesn't store money on their personal accounts but they prepare a different address which they don't totally control. It's more like a decentralized one. Off-chain casinos on the other hand works the opposite. It's more of a centralized because the casino can do anything they like to the coins that we deposit on our accounts or on their accounts rather.

There's only a mistake there when he said "None" because I am sure that he already heard about stake and it's reputation due to how big this casino. Stake is still safe but we should always be vigilant because who knows, they might change later on.
1133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 08, 2023, 09:45:32 AM
My advice to traders that are losing is to still continue to trade, but using just 20% while 80% should go into holding. What do you people think about this? Out of 100% fund, what percentage can you advice a trader to use?
Trading is a much much better way to make profit if you know how to trade, it's not even close, you could make 50x more trading than holding if you are a good trader, and that's just for one year, if you know how to trade and do it for a few years then we are talking about tons of difference and not even close. This means you should learn how to trade and how to be a good trader.

However, if you are not good at it, then it's not smart to make this type of decisions and just hold it. That's where holding becomes better because when you are hodling you are basically making bigger differences and better results since trading would be a terrible way if you don't know how to trade.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: How do cryptocurrencies affect Global Economy? on: January 08, 2023, 06:14:11 AM
I don't think that is their purpose of creating it but the more obvious reason would be is to counter crypto. CBDC's are I think backed by a real fiat so it does not help either in terms of cutting the inflation. Cryptos aren't tied to any local currencies so it's the one that doesn't have an effect to the global economy but CBDC's can even though CBDC's are close to being a crypto since they also runs in the blockchain.

CBDC's are centralized but the creators of it didn't denied it either and then the public already knows this even without any explanation but only by knowing their origin or where they came from. I don't know if CBDC's can be linked with gold and oil but if it's possible then the more it will affect the global economy.
I think instead of countering crypto, they just want to take advantage of the hype crypto has. If governments promote crypto, and also have CBDC then people would invest into it, and give their money for it. Which would mean billions of dollars in governments treasury, and yeah they would give that back if you sell your CBDC, but some other person would buy it, so keep promoting crypto and in return there would be more money in the nations bank basically.

It's not a bad idea, it's not there to counter it but there to take advantage of the situation. I believe it would help the nation so much, it's like free money printed and they could use it too, nobody would bat an eye if they spend it neither, because they could simply print more later on.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Memecoin and utility - impossible or next stage of crypto development on: January 07, 2023, 09:30:33 PM
Overall, while memecoins may not have the same utility as more traditional cryptocurrencies, they can still serve an important role in facilitating creativity and community building online.
Yet? the question is that Does meme coin worth investing at least for long term? when you admitted that this has no Utility use than those traditional currencies?

I'm afraid that this would ever had a great effect on to the whole market , I believe that this will only be used but not that big thing for the whole market.

and my answer? is impossibility to be the real next staging.
It's true that it's not worth investing right now and it will not be worth it in the future neither. It's just not a good investment and anyone who thinks that they could make a profit from it will not be happy when they see prices of all else go up, and their memecoin doesn't get up that much because it was only high for a moment due to hype and it's no longer hyped hence why it's not going up anymore.

I believe that the best thing to do would be staying away from it if we can, not going to be simple to make profit with other stuff, like bitcoin because it doesn't go up that much, but it will be possible if we wait for it just a few years. Takes longer but at least realistic approach.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: January 07, 2023, 01:29:24 PM
This is an idea that will never come true. First, Elon Musk is unlikely to want to create a stablecoin for Twitter as well. It won't be of much practical value. But then Elon Musk will have a lot of problems. Zuckerberg failed with his Libra/Diem stablecoin precisely because he wanted to connect a pervasive social network and finance. The states saw in this the concentration in private hands of significant confidential information about a decent part of the citizens of the planet. And this is a huge influence and power. Therefore, the states used their leverage to prevent this from happening. The same will happen with Elon Musk. He must understand this.
This thought experiment is not for questioning "if" Elon will do something like this or not. This is more about assuming he did it, and then starts afterwards and the question is would you support it.

I think it's not going to be something I can trust, dude is a weirdo and I do not trust people who act like that, it's better to be investing into something where I can see the owner as predictable, like Jeff Bezos is an asshole but at least he is predictable, he will do whatever he can to make a profit. That's why it's going to be not so easy to trust Elon, because he is unpredictable, and I do not want my money to turn into dust one day because he said some weird stuff.
1137  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 06, 2023, 01:14:01 PM
Those who've seen previous bear markets, survived several winters, please share some hope and courage.
I can easily say that I knew what I was doing when I survived, but I would be lying. I am just a very very lazy person, and I mean like seriously lazy, in history books type of lazy. This resulted with me not cashing out all my bitcoins when I earn them (work for bitcoin as salary) meaning I always have some bitcoins saved up.

I didn't end up selling them, didn't get much of anything else, got paid in some other coins and tokens here and there, and I just kept them. Didn't want to trade much, did that for a while and go bored, so I just kept it. So, suddenly I was a super smart long term holder who made a good profit when the reality was just being lazy.
1138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin developer @lukedashjr's wallet was hacked on: January 05, 2023, 06:03:58 PM
Incidents like this always happen every year and we as bitcoin users always have to be careful in storing private keys, and applying maximum security, if we have done that then there is no way to stop hackers because they are always looking for ways to get into our bitcoin account which has a fairly large asset, the victims right now I'm concerned because no matter what way we do it's very difficult to detect hackers, hopefully this will be a valuable lesson for all of us.
It does happen commonly but not to a huge name like this. Not because he is famous, even famous people could get hacked, but because he is famous for being a bitcoin developer. Dude knows how to be safe, and yet he was still hacked and he doesn't even know how he was hacked neither.

I believe that the best thing to do would be letting him handle whatever he wants to handle to get the answers, give him full access to everything and find the issue. Because, if there is a hole somewhere that hackers could use to hack him, they could 100% hack all of us, if he couldn't protect himself, there is absolutely no way that we could ever protect ourselves better than he did.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can offline wallets ever be hacked? on: January 05, 2023, 01:49:55 PM
This is why most of my money is in Binance, people act as if Binance is hackable and their own wallets are not and that makes me laugh so much. Yeah, sure if you have 500 bucks then no hacker will work hard to hack into your offline wallet, the effort required would be a lot more than the reward they would get and that is why it is not going to be so easy.

But at the end of the day, it is not going to be as easy as possible and why would they do that for low amounts. But, same goes with Binance too, if you have a small amount there then it would be fine, Binance won't be hacked into like that, and it will be safe there and I have never faced a problem there at all.
But, it is not looking great if we all put our money in same places all the time. It's just not easy to understand why centralization gradually happened, and it was organically made as well and not like anything regulation needed. Most of the bitcoins and anything of worth in crypto ended up in either binance or coinbase, a few other exchanges too but that's mainly it, millions and millions there.

There are some rich people with 100k+ bitcoins as well, so once again 1% have all the money. I am not saying they own it, binance and coinbase doesn't own it, but its still there, making it centralized and giving them power.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: January 05, 2023, 12:29:40 PM
honestly NFT should find more utility and better ones at that not some random art nft which are being misused for value manipulation that will just gonna make it wait for its collapses, but instead a good utility with real world use case otherwise it's not gonna become trend anymore.
That is quite true. NFT has this amazing potential to be huge but it is not using it and that causes it to be so low. I believe that if people can find the true purpose of it, then it should be a lot more possible for it to grow and that would be helpful but it can't be just "I own this image", that is not good enough at all and won't work.

I believe something much bigger should be done and the best way to do it would be experiments. New project should use the NFT coding and do something more, images, movies, real estate, music, and more and more. If we keep trying hard for more things then there is a chance that one of them will hit big eventually.
