1981  Other / Meta / Re: Is the IQ test really necessary? on: April 01, 2022, 01:45:13 PM
It’s just a joke man, Jesus Christ. Look at the date on your calendar, theymos pulls a trick/joke/trivia like this every April Fools.
Many members are taking it as serious warning from @theymos completely ignoring the April's fool day tradition on the forum and thinking they will be getting banned if they don't pass the 120 IQ levels   Grin Have seen lot of such threads in different boards today but relax guys and take chill pill.

It’s a tradition but to answer the OP, I don’t mind it at all, it’ll be gone in 24 hours or so.
Some members including me thinks it should be implemented as well with only forum and bitcoin related questions to boost the knowledge bags of forum members.

Edit2: IQ of 113?  Gimme a break.  Last time my IQ saw that number was when I was attached to an umbilical cord and had not yet seen the sunshine and come to loathe it.
This is one best way to increase my IQ level to unexpected levels so thanks to the @theymos for providing the bitcointalk members opportunity to show thei high IQ levels here Grin

But you know how other genius might be feeling after looking at whole IQ scene at this time on the forum:

So we can increase it to unexpected levels if we wish to do so today but no cheating is allowed  Grin
1982  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling exploit (LEGAL) on: April 01, 2022, 01:28:01 PM
Neither, OP initially PMed asking for a loan or help executing his strategy to quickly make money. They didn't mention gambling and I was bored so I figured might as well entertain them and see what they have to offer ("taking the bait"). I did not test the strategy nor do I need to because it's obviously not profitable. I'm not sure if OP is either just dumb or is trying to scam someone out of some money.
The second options find more suitable here because the way he is presenting his words seems he is in obvious scam opportunity worth 20k from any member.

If he has find some bug in the code of the casino he can contact them and as a reward they will automatically give him some good amount so need to ask for money from people.Second it's non ethical way to make money but I know he has not find any such exploits for any gambling website.Even if we assume he has why need 20k? He can easily start with some low amount of betting with his so called strategy without looking for crime partners. You did well by checking some of it and reaching on conclusion not to take part in his fake talks.

I've been thinking and I think that the alleged system is even more garbage than it might at first appear.

The martingale is a garbage so-called strategy in which, apart from having more and more chances of finding an unfavorable long streak, the most relevant thing is that you risk more and more capital to earn very little, especially with respect to the increasing capital that you are risking, and if we take rake into account, we are on a sure path to bankruptcy
Have seen many people aggressively betting with this Martingale strategy betting more after each loss as it states the chances increase of win.But this should be avoided at any cost because you are totally unaware of the outcome like when you will hit the win slot so will you keep going without even bothering about your budget? The only one making profits in this case most of the time is casino due to house edge.

This whole system was started by casino owner and he might be thinking his personal profits before that:

Quote
The system inherited its name after John Henry Martingale, who was an owner of one of the most popular gambling houses in Great Britain at the time.

But the system is those who opted it with modifications also tends to loose in the long run and it should not be done at any cost according to me also but still if someone prefers to play with it it's their responsibility.
1983  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 01, 2022, 01:05:18 PM
There are different types of gamblers whose gambling preferences varies like some like slots while some are sports betting fan or both so the casino requirements changes for them.I have seen many players who even like to play on non famous casino with little benefits why? Because they have their favourite game and they like it there. So we all choose it accordingly but important part is choosing the legit casino so funds are safe if you understand my point.
Even inside one's house, there could be multiple type of people. I prefer gambling either dice or sportsbooks, whereas my wife loves slots for example. My father in law loves horse racing, whereas my mother in law likes slots too.

Basically every person is a different person and you need to understand that. If you focus only one what you like, then you are going to miss out on people who are having fun with the other games. Casinos could focus on your game one week, but needs to focus on the other games after that, which means it could be some time before they focus on yours all over again. We just need to learn to live with other gamblers with us.
Definitely it all depends on our taste how we like to play.In my circle also there are different types of players but we all enjoy the time we spend whenever we are gambling together and watch other's gameplay. It is not like that if i prefer slots i will stick to it for whole gambling life but will also try sportsbook and other games casino provides to explore each part. This is my personal way of playing but don't know about others.
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Nearly Bailed Me Out on: April 01, 2022, 12:50:50 PM
So I needed some funds to make up for a payment. I contacted three of my clients who were supposed to pay for some writing jobs but the payments were delayed. I was getting frantic when I remembered that one of my old Blockchain wallets. I started wondering if the wallet I hadn't used for years could have some valuable bitcoins. I also remembered that I had the seed words in my phone as a screenshot (crazy!) so I imported the wallet. Boy, you wouldn't believe how much I had in there. Not up to all the money I needed but enough to make a difference.

I wonder who else has access to old wallets Smiley
You were lucky to have your funds back but the highlighted part in your post is the worst way to backup your seed phrase as having Screenshot in your mobile phone is as risky as telling them to people openly. The first rule is i would say offline storage on piece of paper or metal sheets with full safety. What if your phone was lost, stolen or damaged would you be able to get your funds back then and it would be permanently lost adding up to the shrinking supply of 21million.

Hey, lucky you forgot about the old wallet before otherwise you might have spent what was in it. Probably a good idea for others to learn from this & write down all wallet passwords, seeds & what platform they are on.
Writing up but not the way he has done is the lesson for us because everyone would not be lucky like him as this is very easy way in which your seed security is compromised but don't know how people do such things. He might be lucky to sell them at good price compared to what he would have got in past but he could have lost them all.So take this lesson from him.
1985  Other / Meta / Re: The IQ LEVEL on: April 01, 2022, 12:33:13 PM
There is new mechanism in bitcointalk.org, now before posting you have to answer a very tough question and that tells your IQ level. I see it something as to stop people from commenting too much or you can comment too much if you are willing to answer too many tough questions correctly.
Is it something same like merit system Huh
Yes this new system has been initiated by @theymos to reduce the spam posting on the forum as he was unable to tolerate all the shit poster on the forum but i think you have qualified it already as the limit for IQ is 120 so you can carry on your forum journey mate. Grin

Just kidding this is the forum tradition of celebrating the April's fool day by @theymos so don't worry about it.

I’d vouch to leave it permanently, with questions regarding Bitcointalk’s rules and etiquette + bitcoin/Bitcoin related questions. BIQ (Bitcoin/BitcoinTalk IQ) could then lead to perks (tbd) …
I am also comfortable if this system is implemented and it would be fun and chance to learn more about the bitcoin if the MCQ questions are only forum and bitcoin related otherwise if it is carried the current way some members can also participate in reality quiz show winning millions Grin.

A warning to members below the post would be great initiative to help them and avoid such mistakes that can force them to leave the forum. But will see how it ends.

The only issue I see if generating the questions, and coming up with the answers. Although, I think this could be a ongoing community effort. Then, before they're published they're reviewed by others. So, theymos would just need to implement something that allows us to work together as a community to add new questions over time.
This could definitely be community oriented like for the first part the @theymos could set up few questions bitcoin and forum related that will be shown down the post reply box with options similar to we have here .This coud definitely start some motivational concept for members to increase their IQ level like they now wants to rank up with merit system.

Later on one seperate thread could be made to submit the questions or some members could voluntarily take care this job to set up some more questions time to time. This is not some burden or way to restrict new members from joining the forum but they can learn fast and with self motivation to grow on the forum with knowledge and compete with others. But in the end the decision lies with forum adminstrator @theymos and current merit system is also very good..
1986  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Small Guide - How to detect a website scam on: April 01, 2022, 12:15:06 PM
With time the hacking styles or say scammers have become advanced by opting for the the latest technical updations in their way to scam users out of their funds. The points you have mentioned are well good like the website structure or the team behind the project then it's all can be really good build up to attract more customers but diving into the core aspects will help you to recognise the legit projects.

The developer they hire have nothing to do with how the project is going to work if they are getting paid well and not on the team so you know there are many CSS crash course which will help you to optimise the site in good way.Even if they are spending say $1000 they have plans to scam 10x or more from people. So be sure to check all the details at minor level also before investing your funds or say if you are newbie then avoid them.

(1) Using Google Images is a good way to find that Mark Smith is also Brian Coleman, but also Will Brown, John Brandel, Philip Johen or whatever other name they’ve used.
Same scammer pretending to be on different platforms with unique usernames in order to fool more number of people can be detected with this but if they are using similar attire to carry them. But it can still be verified through Google images if they are using this method:

1987  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The EU May Vote to Ban Anonymous Crypto Payments on: March 31, 2022, 01:08:44 PM
They are just presenting this bill to end the privacy of users and keep the full record of the transactions by giving out the whole lame excuses under AML policy. They are requiring the whole lot of information from the exchanges to discharge the recipient details worth over 1000 Euros which is insane because these amounts are way too low.

See this :

Today I received this email:

The people sitting in the cabinet rejected the past bill which was against these POW coins and this was thought to be good decision but the main concern had now started for the EU residents as the crypto tracking bill is on the way.

They have stated the same old excuse of can't track the bitcoin related transaction and they are being used in illicit activities which is nonsense but they won't agree on this part and come up with such regulations which are against people's privacy.

EU new travel transactions bill

When I see what kind of freaks there are in the EU Parliament and all other institutions, no decision can surprise me, especially if we take into account that bureaucrats make decisions about something they don't really understand. The lobby, which wants to make Bitcoin as unattractive as possible, is doing its job well, but this is not surprising if we know that they are financed by the most powerful EU banks.
They are making another attempt to make it centralised system through these exchanges where they can track you but the fact is your funds are not safe over these exchange at the first place only so you are prone to risk already. The banking system is also their authority and they will take any decision to make it shine among the people defaming the bitcoin specially but the reality can't be kept secret from people.

In the name of regulations they are making worse decisions which needs to rejected at any cost and people needs to raise their voice against it so that they can't rule over them what they have been doing from ages.
1988  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 31, 2022, 12:08:14 PM
Since the users only seems trolling, I wouldn't mind about his/her opinion at all. Specially, just like what you've said, we already experienced what it is like playing on Roobet. We might not know everything, but we know enough.
I agree. If you're a real gambler and already experience playing on Roobet, you'll have your own judgment based on your experience using their platform. So even someone seems like trolling and spreading false accusations, its not a big deal because we know the truth plus he/she is not showing a proof. This gambler might lost his money in gambling and cant accept it.
This is not a new thing and we witness these baseless trolling in most of the casino cases where users will put false allegations without any proof but the whole community is enjoying playing on that particular casino like in this case Roobet. So the best is to ignore them and keep your regular Roobet discussions on while gambling there with the perks.

1990  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tips] Ways to Protect Recovery Phrase - Mnemonic on: March 31, 2022, 11:37:31 AM
Given that this thread is in the Beginners and Help forum, the whole topic could be condensed as follows:

Write it down on paper, make at least two copies, and store them safely and separately.

That's it.
That's right because most of the newbies here don't have any idea about using different ways to store their seed safely and in that case the perfect advice is to store them safely on piece of paper only without any online storage involvement. They should note it down once they have setup their wallet and no pictures should be taken or saved as notes in the mobile phone which could be reason for loss of funds.Having proper backup in two or more places is important because if one place is compromised you can have it from other sources.

You cam trust someone close to you in case something happens to you they can use your funds but keep in mind trust is the vital factor that plays major role in keeping your funds safe.

Splitting your seed phrase or obfuscating it with swapped words or order is always a bad idea. It very rarely increases your security in a meaningful way, and more often simply leads to problems recovering your coins in the future. If you want to have a 2-factor back up, then use passphrases or multisig.
Mixing up the words maybe confusing for the person himself and he needs to sort the words in order to use his funds or transfer them but in the case of splitting it becomes more difficult as you have to collect the words and if any of the 12 or 24 words is not in correct order or not available with you then funds are lost permanently. So why go with such complex methods when you some simple and traditional way can save you from lot of troubles.

Memorizing your seed phrase is a terrible idea and should be practiced by no one.
I remember there was one such thread on the forum where member was using unique way of memorising the seed phrase like with images of Queen Elizabeth, elephant and relevant example but it sounds too complex and bad idea to many including me as human mind is strong and can have storage but there are some limitations and we should not experiment with them in such risky way.So avoid this is really bad way of keeping it safe as it this could direct lead to fund loss.

Other than writing on paper, the only other item on that list which is acceptable is a metal back up. However, this is by no means necessary since paper is a perfectly adequate back up, and metal back ups require far more time and effort than writing on paper. There is no need to get hung up on making a metal back up instead of just making paper back ups and converting to metal at a later time.
You can try different methods other than paper definitely but it's time consuming and you need to have proper metal that can survive extensive condition of heat also so that in any case of calamity or fire it could survive the damage with seed backup safely printed on it.Members could take a look at these threads:

Securing Your Seed Phrase with Washers

n0nce's Steel Washer Backup jig (customisable)

There are many such ways in which you can protect your funds but see they all are offline ways because storing them in online storage like cloud, drives or even having them stored on your device as soft copy is prone to hacks and stealing of your funds so be safe not to use them and keep your funds safe because it's your responsibility.
1991  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 24/03/2022 on: March 31, 2022, 11:04:25 AM
Congratulations bro, now you have reached that number which is 1500 for today, not long after I predicted yesterday.
Thanks for saving it for me as I thought i missed the opportunity to save it for me because when i logged on the forum those 1500 merits were already crossed for me and was at 1502 but you manage to save it on time.I am assuming you have some special training classes for saving records fast from @Ratimov  Grin

I've got another cool number just in:
Good to see you progressing fast on the forum with your useful contribution to the forum but each time you put up your merit stats to save it here it's already been shattered with some additional merits like this time also  Grin.Stopping on good merit stations for few minutes and then going ahead to the next one preety fast in your bullet train.Best wishes with you man.

Thanks for taking the time to save it for me, I even forgot to put it in this cart.  Cheesy
But do you know why you didn't manage to reach my notification bot, it's because you forgot that my username is not @skaris but @skarais.  Grin
For now 1415 is a good pair in the order, and is now on its way to having 1500.
Oh i didn't notice that little vowel mistake in your name and your notification bot ignored me for that reason but still good you come up here to embark that up so congratulations to you on making continuous number pair of 1415 @skarais  Grin No mistake this time.Yes the next target of 1500 is on the way for you and soon anyone will be saving it here if you missed it like me.
1992  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase the most anti-Bitcoin organisation. Make #DeleteCoinbase great again on: March 31, 2022, 10:50:39 AM
~snip~
The term privacy has been always a major concern for these government agencies and they come up with these stupid lame excuses always to shatter it down and gain the full control over it as they are having in all others monetary sectors like stocks, bonds and fiat undoubtedly. So now they want to surpess the exchanges to give them such details with complete information of users transactions to trace them. The whole damn law is some user tracking virus being injected in the people nerves.

Making your voice heard ahead of Thursday’s critical EU vote

By Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer

(1) digital assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum and others are a primary way criminals hide and move money
The same old and top priority excuse for them like they are used for illicit crimes and will link up the silk road dark web case here saying so many bitcoins were confiscated during that time but how much profits the government take by selling them after having control of it?

They believe like if bitcoin was not there people could not hide their money at all but in reality the swiss banks and other sources are way too easy for people to hide their so called legal inflationary papers known as fiat. They can easily be forged but can you make fake copy of bitcoin on the network? No but for them it's not concern and they have their own way of thinking.

Quote
(2) law enforcement has no way to track these movements
Only in words but if we also want we can track the transaction records on blockchain which is full transparent but is their any such ledger for fiat transactions which are made without banks involvement. If you use bitcoin or ETH each transaction goes online validated through nodes an d then accepted but no security in banks.

Only if we use mixing services for being anonymous that is different case but most of the transaction goes without it and users are filing returns over it like the taxation schemes but still they want to have the full record.

For example, all crypto transactions will be deemed “travel rule eligible”. This means crypto is treated differently to fiat (which has a 1,000 EUR threshold), which establishes a clear advantage for traditional financial service providers over new technology, with significant anti-competition and anti-innovation implications.
The worse fact is putting down the restrictions to as low as to 1000 Euros like the same 1000 CAD coinbase information requirements.People transferring such amounts have to disclose the information and coinbase have to report that to authorise also so they can monitor it under AML policy but even if no suspicious activity is carried out they can also track it with such laws.So where is the privacy barrier gone? Blown with single law only.

Among the worst of the proposed provisions are new obligations on exchanges to collect, verify and report information on non-customers using self-hosted wallets.
Sounds like NSA keeping the satellite track of each Individual and even listening to their conversations like in Movie Enemy of the State which seems to be true in this case also with such strict laws. The government thinks they can pressurize the people with such laws and can seek low investment in these crypto market so they can launch their own shit CDBC but that's not happening at all.Avoid using these centralised exchanges at any cost that will protect your funds and give you privacy.

See who's talking about privacy who are also don't know it's true meaning and selling the private information to the government agencies

Quote
Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer added:

If you care about protecting the privacy of individuals, and focusing the law on solutions that actually address legitimate concerns about the illicit use of digital assets, now is the time to speak up and be heard. We must speak with one, strong voice against this proposal before it’s too late.

They have already shaken hands with them and now poilitcising it for personal advantage to retain the users but themselves also do the same thing. So not surprised they will comply with the laws if passed easily.

What the hell is happening with these NFT trends as now we are seeing this Oscar slap of will smith to chris rock been sold as NFT collection which has raised $45k so far :

Quote
This particular Will Smith Slap NFT collection – although there are others – only has 1270 left to sell. The current floor price is 0.002 ETH (Ethereum), which is about $7.

Meaning the cheapest you can pick one up for is currently around $7. More desirable mid-range tokens are going for $15 – $30 on the popular NFT marketplace.

Another shit token made on the meme with zero utility and still people going crazy for it :

Quote
Update – Will Smith Slap DAO has now sold 750 of their NFTs. There’s also now a ‘Will Smith Inu’ token with the ticker $WSI that is up 430% today on Uniswap.

Are we guys serious about these events? The shit token creators find these as profit making opportunities and those who invest in them are more big fools around here.

I did open my eyes and watched, including Will’s f-bomb outburst, and I stand by my opinion that it wasn’t
staged. You may want to read up on the circumstances and aftermath.
Let’s just agree to disagree as we obviously see the world through different lenses.
Also don't think this was staged but many have this assumptions and you could see this oscar slap is trending everywhere and people have their own pre assumptions without going into much detail of the facts.

The Chris Rock might have swallowed it like nothing happened with Will delivering fuck twice from his mouth to the comedian. Her wife reactions were almost of astonishment as what the hell happened there in few seconds. The Comedian was not having any idea while smith was walking towards him and showed no aggression after all but we can feel his condition at the time.

Smith breaking down after winning the Oscars and apologising is not public stunt and with these they are not getting paid.Sometimes personal jokes have instant reactions which we just saw but people have turned it into more of stage drama although they are both are stage players but this time things went real. This is my opinion and we can't convince people about all the stuff because the different lens is prefect in this sense.

There are thousands of users logging into the forum on daily basis but they have never reported some major issues regarding the forum that you have been complaining about without giving acknowledgement to any of the above post.

It's also works fine on my end but this problem is not the forum algorithm faults but as there could be network connectivity issues but i don't think you need high speed data to load the forum pages as it's compatible in old style to load it even normal speed of internet so be sure to check it with your ISP or as indicated by @Welsh there could be CPU lag and you could check it out on performance of your desktop if you are using it to boost it and then reload the forum pages.

This is only delay on our end sometimes as have seen members reporting server errors sometimes due to network connectivity and html errors but forum not loading properly on your end have to be on your side as it's fine for us.
1996  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — 1st licensed crypto casino 🥇 Change the way you play 🚀 on: March 30, 2022, 11:13:14 AM
Yes, you are right. I always try to do as you say because I know that it will only make me addicted later. Therefore, I always use a little money as I said before, to avoid getting addicted and losing more money than I can afford. Better plan how much money we will use to gamble because it can help us cope with losing money. It does take practice because it's not easy, but I'm sure we can do it as long as we keep trying.
You can get more exposure to gambling and come to know more about different casino working you play on but there is no such experience that will always make you win on each bet which is why we need to take all the precautions ourselves. We could win if wr are lucky on slots but yes experience on other games like poker could be useful because it's strategy based game. But limiting yourself is best in gambling in order to avoid extra loss that we can't afford.
1997  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: March 30, 2022, 10:58:58 AM
You're both right. We cannot compare two or more casinos because each casino has a different purpose, vision and mission. In addition, they also have a plan that must be achieved every day or for a certain period. But what is clear is that every casino wants to provide the best for its members so they can feel at home playing gambling for a long time. After that, it will return to each gambler, where they will spend their time playing gambling.
There are different types of gamblers whose gambling preferences varies like some like slots while some are sports betting fan or both so the casino requirements changes for them.I have seen many players who even like to play on non famous casino with little benefits why? 1998  Economy / Economics / Re: ExxonMobil in the US is piloting a bitcoin mining project in North Dakota on: March 30, 2022, 10:45:03 AM
Well that's....interesting.  My first impression was that you know bitcoin has jumped the shark when a giant mega-corporation like Exxon Mobil gets into the business of mining it.  Fortunately my first impressions of things are often wrong.
Few weeks back they also set off their business in Russia due to the war and it was really bold decision as they were having strategic business over there but still they opted out and stand with Ukraine in this time. They can supply to other nations to recover the loss. But yes as per reports they are stepping into bitcoin mining by using the excess waste gas to mine bitcoin and get profits over it.

If this article is true and Exxon really does get into the BTC mining business, it probably would be profitable for them.  But one problem I see is that they have so much cash they can throw at the operation that they might end up with a bit too much hashing power if they decided to go that far.  Maybe somebody with actual mining experience could set me straight on that point and tell me if I'm wrong.
They might be having so much huge cash reserves but I don't think they are putting all in this mining business as stakeholders won't let it happen easily.

Quote
It’s not as if Exxon shareholders are hard up for cash, either: in the five years after the Paris Agreement was brokered, the company has funneled $103.3 billion into dividends and stock buybacks. Last year, Exxon devoted just 0.16 percent of its capital expenditure toward its low-carbon efforts.
They have distributed quite a lot of dividends and maybe putting good amount of money into this mining process but still won't be able to capture the full control of the market according to me.At this time the mining difficulty is hard and you need very high level of ASIC machines which many mining pools like Antpool have but still we see hashrate distribution. You can't take full control of bitcoin network with huge money inflows also which keeps it safe and this scenario is not possible.Although I am not mining expert but this is my opinion from the knowledge i have.So it's good for them if they jump into this mining business but will see when it actually happens.

As far as their choice of location, they picked a good one.  North Dakota has got to be one of the coldest states in the US.  They might have done better in Alaska, but maybe there's some tax advantage in ND.
They also have plans for bitcoin projects in Alaska as well as per reports:

Last week, Bloomberg reported that ExxonMobil is planning to expand its bitcoin-mining pilot in the Bakken shale formation in North Dakota, opening up new bitcoin projects in Alaska, Nigeria, Guyana, Argentina, and Germany.

Just heard this news today and was shocked to see the amount of hack as this is one of the biggest hacks according to me worth $625 million on Ronin bridge based on Axie Infinity NFT based P2E game.

Quote
The blog stated that the hacker used hacked private keys in order to forge fake withdrawals.

As per data from Etherscan, the Ethereum address used by the Ronin attacker is a new one and was created one week ago after receiving ETH from the Binance exchange. The attacker's address retains the majority of the funds.

But the experts have blamed that in order to validate the transactions fast they reduced the number of nodes to only five out of nine and this is one of the problem of POS mechanism which completely diminish the security levels.

The other thing is they noticed it after few days when users were not able to deposit or withdraw their funds on the network but there was also short of Ronin and AXS tokens but before anyone could notice they get liquidated :

As the address is known to them because it was just made a week ago from Binance which they used in hack and now holds the amount it could be possible for them to recover the funds in any manner they find it suitable but looking forward to see what they come up with next. This is the address :

After this breach they have increased the number of validators nodes to eight but seriously it is of no security with this small number of nodes to run billion dollar worth of transactions and that also in POS mechanism. So this was biggest exploitation of the network which affected their token prices also badly.

I'm interpreting that comparison to mean that one should avoid shitcoins cause the are vulnerable to hacks and leaks, whilst Bitcoin is a much more secure network and any breach is usually through third party networks like exchanges and not linked to Bitcoin at all as people can choose where to store their coins and many make wrong decisions.
Most people don't follow this advice and simply invest in these projects who have some security bugs that can be easily exploited and then loose the money due to such hacks.Bitcoin network is secured by thousands of nodes and miners put all the right transactions within the block with full transparency. This Ronin network could easily be exploited as you need to take control of five nodes only out of nine so it's not much hard for hackers to commit the crime.

Bitcoin hacks have been there but not directly but through these DeFi, exchange and some other things which are the root cause of hacks as the same security breaches and some themselves becoming scam one so be aware of it.

Actually, that chart is wrong, Axie/Ronin/Sky Mavis is at the top. The current news of how much was hacked is around $615M-$625M.
Yes the chart is not showing the accurate data because there was scam of around 173600 ETH coins and 25.5 Million USDC which is over $625 million as stated in the @OP also.

Getting scammed in this crypto market is not a new thing and normally there are many cases which we encountered associated with these scams in different manners but the results are always the same loss of funds from victims walllets. This is whole technical market and you need to be extra cautious in keeping your funds safe but most of the time people become greedy or unintentionally click on malicious links which results in these scams.

But if you say scammers are earning lot through these scams then you are absolutely right as you could see million dollars worth of scam happening most of them through these shitcoins rug pull or zero utility but still investors hope of getting something from it but only hackers get their money.According to the reports by chainanalysis data these were the numbers of scams that took place in 2021:

You could easily see the period of 2017-2018 witnessed high rate of scams as there was ICO burst and other scams occuring at that time but after that there was people awareness but the numbers seems to rise now also as there are lot of NFT and meta projects out there who have rug pulled investors of money worth million of dollars.

Some top scam coins in the previous years were as per some reports :

So they are definitely earning much but if you take into consideration the amount of investment made then the market cap is more than $2 trillion and people have also earned huge profits in their investments with this bull run which cannot be ignored and the fact is crypto industry has witnessed huge surge in volumes as new one's have joined the market. So there are no perfect reports but investors have earned a lot.
