21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Speedup Transaction on: August 17, 2021, 09:30:40 AM
I believe you only pay for a transaction that goes through, that is, even if the first one is pending and the second one goes through, you will only pay for the second one while the first will fail after a while. I have noticed this on some cases, actually learnt it from someone, that is, performed a transaction with Trust wallet and it's taking time, I just imported the wallet to Imtoken and perform the same transactions again and it goes through while the other fails, that is the one with the higher gas fee goes through.
So in another sense, performing the transaction again by speeding it up is still same thing, since the idea is using a higher gas fee than the previous.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Honest opinion poll about the potential of NFT on: August 16, 2021, 09:23:46 AM
NFT have been around for a long time, and since they have been around then till now, it means they will continue to exist. The hype is on it now, because we are in its trend just as we have experienced with other trends, so the price growth most of them are getting is expected. So it is in my opinion to believe that, even if the hype goes down maybe because of another trend, all the NFT projects with good working products and team will continue to exist, but however the team will need to put in more efforts to ensure their long term survival. Also, in my own opinion, in as much as the hype is high now, it is also very important to only invest in the good NFT projects in order to be sure your investment is safe from scammers who are only riding on the hype to make money.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: solana ecosystem coins give 100X on: August 16, 2021, 09:17:34 AM
I have invested Raydium, SOL,STEP Finance .

They have given me GOOD ROI. Try to invest in solana project. this is Solana bull run

You might be right though. One of the things which was seen in BSC based projects months ago is that, as BNB was growing the projects based on it where also growing as well, and it looks like BNB was pulling all the good projects on it up as it goes up as well. Now same experience is being seen on Solana where SOL coin is pumping real good and most projects on its blockchain like COPE are following up as well. This space can be unpredictable atimes, but it looks like Solana ecosystem will play same thing BSC ecosystem did months ago, but however, just as it was on BSC ecosystem where scam projects were much, same might be experienced on Solana ecosystem as well, therefore due diligence should be anchored on at all times.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Farms for XRP (BEP20) on: August 16, 2021, 09:10:17 AM
XRP BEP20, that's looks new to me but with pancakeswap, everything is quite possible as they try as much as possible to accommodate a lot of coins and tokens to make staking possible. Also, although APR might be low but one of the good things Pancakeswap is known for is security and their way of making sure that users who are staking gets something good out of it without much issues. Also, I see staking as the best option for holders, that is, instead of holding just in wallet you can stake it and earn something out of it, but you need to make sure it is on a good staking platform. There are many staking platforms today with high APR, but security might be a concern, thus go for the trusted platforms.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is not a rival of Bitcoin on: August 15, 2021, 06:02:45 PM
The comparison of the value of etherum and bitcoin is very far, the price of one BTC is $ 45,975 and one Etherum is $ 3,152 (15 August 2021, 16:53:00). Etherum is far behind BTC, although Etherum’s current popularity is great, unfortunately Etherum still can’t be the first in the market. what do you think?

I will start by saying, I agree with your title, and it is not only about Ethereum but all altcoins, Bitcoin have no rival and that is just the fact. The level of commitment investors and the entire crypto community have shown towards  Bitcoin is noteworthy, and this keeps proving that Bitcoin is offering something reliable and trustworthy. Ethereum is the best altcoin and that is one of the things which has kept it in such position till date which is, behind Bitcoin. Ethereum also is very innovative thus the reason a lot of investors are still Investing heavily and project developers are still launching their projects on, in all not minding the high gas fee. Also, apart from the London hard fork which has made the Ethereum blockchain more reliable as it is working perfectly, another upgrade which will keep the Ethereum blockchain in spotlight is the ETH 2.0.
Therefore looking at all these about Ethereum, it is evidently clear the blockchain will keep growing, keep retaining its position but nevertheless, will find it hard being a rival to Bitcoin.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't trade using instinct on: August 15, 2021, 05:43:25 PM
Hello buddy
I am a new user in crypto, I learned a lot from friends who have been using crypto for a very long time, previously I lost a lot of assets, because of the experience and lessons I learned so that I can trade well, I have profited from BSC coins and now I have not invested in any other altcoins. Can you provide any suggestions for potential future altcoins?
I have $1226 in assets, Thank you. Smiley

Since you said you have earned a lot or profited a lot from BSC tokens, it might be right to say that, you have learnt about researching on a coin before investing, hence the reason for the profits, and that is really good. But however, no matter who tells you about a coin, it is in the same way Important for you to research on that coin on your own in order to be sure the person is not hyping his bag or a coin he have an interest in, although it depends on the coin though.
Nevertheless, talking about a coin to invest in, if you are ready for long term then pay attention to coins like ADA and SOL, SOL ecosystem is growing at the moment and ADA have a smart contracts upgrade coming soon. Also, if you are aiming for quick profits and short term, then pay attention to some good NFT tokens.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stablecoins replace credit/debit cards? on: August 14, 2021, 07:34:32 AM
It is better we start understanding that no monetary system will be replaced by cryptocurrencies or crypto system, this is because to a good extent a lot of them have the backing of the government and we know what that means. Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies which have a stable value and as such good to use against the volatility of this space, which is to say it will be limited to this space alone unless the team are ready to surrender their platforms to the government which I don't see happening.
Secondly, the crypto space has come a long way, it has developed in all ways and has become more Interesting and valuable than ever, that is to say, it has come to stay, thus since the world keeps Innovating, crypto and fiat will work together; moreover it's already happening as most payment systems like Visa are already looking into working with crypto. No debit or credit card will be replaced by stablecoins, that is my opinion.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a new blockchain that will compete with Ethereum? on: August 14, 2021, 07:21:31 AM
We all know about huge transaction fees, not the most convenient scaling and the difficulties of entering the ecosystem. Are there projects that will provide people with the best conditions for the implementation of their ideas in the cryptoworld?

None will compete with it, a lot have been trying for years but can't seems to stand up to it, even some ended up taking a thing or two from Ethereum blockchain, even most developers still believes that Ethereum blockchain is more scalable now imagine what will happen when the other ETH upgrade comes online.
Nevertheless, with regards to other projects or blockchains which will help users or developers launch their ideas, there are many already such as BSC network, Polygon, Solana and so on. Some projects are known to migrate from one blockchain to another with the excuse that they want a better services, thus it can be seen that the crypto space has advanced a lot where projects can be launched easily or migrated easily thus no limitations in launching your idea.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the recent Ethereum upgrade? Is it good or bad? on: August 14, 2021, 07:14:14 AM
Lately, the Ethereum community of users including "me" is rejoicing and boosting that the Ethereum v2.0 London upgrade will be a game-changer, particularly the EIP-1559 implementation, But in a few days later, many are wondering why the Ethereum gas fees were still high, despite the upgrade was done already, some users are saying that Eth developers are just giving false hope, while other also saying that it's not working the way we are expected, in the time of writing the average gas price is $7.74(43 gwei) and for me, it was still high compare to BSC, Polygon and other Layer 2 chain.

What do you guys think? drop your fearless opinion below!

In my understanding, it is a good update however, there is something we need to know and differentiate, the Ethereum team are already working on two different upgrades, the London hard fork and the ETH 2.0 of which both comes different features, the London hard fork is designed at reducing the circulating supply of ETH, thus the reason ETH coin is being burn when a transaction is carried out, that is to say, this particular upgrade have nothing to do with gas fee. On the other upgrade, the ETH 2.0, this is most probably the upgrade a lot of people are waiting for, owing to the fact it is assumed to be the solution to high gas fees and speed, that is in all, more scalability of Ethereum blockchain.
Just like I pointed out, the London hard fork is a good one and is already efficient in doing its part, we now have to wait for the other upgrade. Even with the high gas fees, a lot of people are still investing in ETH because it is just the best altcoin.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PolyNetwork Hacked, $600 million Lost on: August 13, 2021, 10:58:39 AM
This was a bad news as the amount was huge and then again, the hacker started returning the funds which is now a sort of good news for PolyNetwork and I believe they have learnt and will pay more attention on their security. Also, i think another Defi projects was hacked recently which brings the question of how secure are Defi platforms, because if these platforms can't provide more security to users then I wonder the fate of such users. I believe that in addition to trying hard to offer a lasting use case, project team should also pay more and closer attention on their security, because a security breach is big enough to render a project useless. It's good the hacker is returning the funds as that is a good news for the entire market because of the amount, let other Defi projects update their security because that is the most important.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: – The need for asset-backed stablecoins in uncertain times on: August 13, 2021, 10:34:51 AM
Every good cryptocurrency have it's use in the crypto market, and depending on the use or rather use case, will then show if the cryptocurrency will last long term or not, because the main idea of investing in any good coin is long term usability, if that idea of long term isn't there, you might wake up one day to realize the token is now worthless.
Nevertheless, with the little above explanation, stablecoins are good, at least their usefulness have always been seen when the market is in a bad shape, and currently there are many of them, and it looks like more exchanges are on the verge of having theirs. However, saying they are the future of the crypto space might be hard to swallow, at least USDT and USDC have been around for a long time now, but it doesn't look like they are being considered as such. In  my opinion, in as much as, stablecoins are great but they lacks what it takes to replace most cryptocurrencies and become the future of this space, and with the rate they are coming up, it's time to start paying attention on the ones to have anything to do with.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are meme/NFT investment really worth the hype they're getting?. on: August 11, 2021, 07:06:34 PM
To be sincere, people have been warned to make their own research before investing in any project but most people believes it is better to follow whatever an Influencer says thus don't bother making any sort of research while forgetting that those influencers do not care about anyone but themselves and their pockets, some are even paid in a different coin but will promote another coin to their followers. During the height of the Meme coin trend, a lot of Influencers did that, and today they have started with another, and most of their followers will still not learn, so that is just the issue, lack of research and so on.
In the case of NFT, i believe they have been around for a long time, but it is just that they started getting recognition this time around hence the pump, however I think there is more to NFT such as Gamified tokens although I stand to be corrected, but in the issue of people who are spending such amount on some NFT arts, is what I can't really figure my head around.
Lastly, if NFT and/or gamified tokens are not really worth it, I don't think Binance will launch an NFT marketplace, I just think it is another aspect of this space people are exploring and it needs a bit of time, however that doesn't mean people will not carry out their own due diligence, or understand what actually they are doing.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: August 10, 2021, 10:21:19 AM
Bitcoin has really been tested for years and through all those years, at every stage it kept proving its worth and potential, thus having a unique place in the crypto space, of which more people are now understanding how trustworthy it is. As for altcoins, only few are good and the only one closest to Bitcoin is Ethereum, but if we look more carefully we can see that Ethereum team are not really trying to be in any competition with Bitcoin but rather they are more focused on making their blockchain stand out from the huge numbers out there. And if Ethereum isn't challenging Bitcoin in my own opinion, then no other altcoin can, because a lot can't even be compared to Ethereum.
A lot of big potential investors starts mostly with Bitcoin for long term investment, hence the growing market value of Bitcoin, while a lot of upcoming projects gets started with other altcoins blockchains of which a lot of those upcoming projects do not last long. So in essence, no altcoin have what it takes to replace Bitcoin.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tether crash to $0? on: August 10, 2021, 10:13:33 AM
Back in 2017, the topic of stablecoins like Tether completely crashing to $0. Is Tether still safe to hold your funds on?

For a big platform or coin like Tether, crashing to $0 is not possible, what will even make it to crash to $0 when it has stayed around for years. The market cap of Tether shows the stablecoin has gotten enough recognition thus will be hard for any type of fud to push it down to nothing. Let's be realistic, many charges were filed against Tether and for many years nothing has been heard and even at that, people are still using it, that is to say, the team knows exactly what they are doing and what to do to maintain their growing ecosystem.
It's not like there are no other stablecoin, but there many now, yet no amount of fud or bad news has been able to make Tether become a lesser stablecoin.
Holding of stablecoin is a choice, and I don't think people hold for long since it is stable, but yet a lot of people are still holding Tether, in the same way, a lot of people believes DAI is better, and now we have BUSD which is from a reputable exchange and of course it is good as well; so you can make your decision and know which one to go for, but in my own opinion, all are good.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT is an interesting space on: August 10, 2021, 10:05:41 AM
NFTs has been around for a very long time, but the reason much was not heard about them is because they weren't taken serious or maybe it wasn't just time for them to be looked at since the crypto space was still paying attention on blockchain networks, of which many were launched then claiming to offer high tps and so on, but it seems DeFi trend kind of opened up the path to NFTs.
As of today, NFTs are getting the attention they need after a long time of which it means we are in NFT trend, but sincerely speaking I think this NFT projects need to bring in more features because much is yet to be heard of them unlike during other trends like the DeFi trend where everyone was talking about what Defi offers. Thus, I think more unique features needs to be developed so that the right impact will be felt, but even at that, one need to carry out his research on any project before investing, scammers are always active.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: August 09, 2021, 02:32:45 PM
That is quite true, panic breeds many things of which one of it is indecision or lacking the zeal to the make the right decisions. Panic causes many people to sell especially when fud is released in the market, thus leading to more dump. Also, apart from fud which leads to panic in the general market, panic can also be caused when someone invests in a bad project or in a project he didn't carried out a enough research on, and thus once things aren't going the way he wants or anticipates panic sets in, because he knows his funds is at stake and the next thing would be to sell at loss.
Lastly, newbies seems to be the most affected when it comes to this, because a lot follows crypto Influencers on social media without knowing those Influencers are just after there own pockets and once they stops promoting that coin for another, emotions sets in, panic sets in and they sell at loss; some will learn from such experience and some will continue following those Influencers.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Trade On Emotions on: August 09, 2021, 02:23:38 PM
The truth is, a lot of people can't afford buying or Investing in any coin during  a bad market or during a market dump, because they are afraid of what will become of their coins, well it's okay to feel that way, but also for many people that is the best time for them to invest. For instance, take a look at the market months ago, you will see that is was not encouraging but those who took the risk on good coins are already in profit now, because one good thing about good coins is that, once the market becomes favourable and pumps, people will start going after those coins they once believed in but couldn't hold, and where some will will be lucky to get in at a lower price than they sold earlier others will buy higher; this is already happening, take a look at ETH to begin with.
Therefore, in addition to not trading with emotions, it is also very important to trade or buy as at when due, if you don't buy when the price is down, don't bother chasing after it when it has grown so much.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask won't accept password... is it safe to reset it? on: August 09, 2021, 02:14:45 PM
My Metamask won't accept my password and I know it is correct.  I have the seed phrase and the password I created to sign up for the metamask.  If I reset my wallet, is there a chance I would lose my coins? I can't have that.  Also, is the "password" different than the seed phrase,,, becaue it accepted this password before.. I didn't change it.

Before I could just reload the phone and it would ask for the face id and I would be good to go.... please advise if you know what to do or have been through this before.

thank you

Are you sure there is no capital letter in the password, also check for letter such as "i" and "l".
From another approach, if you are sure of the seed phrase, to be on the safer side, import you seed phrase to another wallet and check your coins , you can't afford making such mistakes now, in the same way, if you have the wallet address, you can also view it on wallets like Trust wallet without importing to view your tokens and coins.
Just to add again, I find Tokenpocket more better as it supports many networks and chains, just making it easier to use then Metamask. Other wallets you can try depending on your smartphone if that is the case is imtoken.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is pirate chain a scam? on: August 08, 2021, 06:59:16 PM
The pirate coin arrr is it a scam?

Drawing data from coinmarketcap, as of today the price is $3.70 with a market cap of $656,293,289 while the 24 hr trading volume is $2,443,889, therefore with such data I don't think it is a scam. Also, it is a sort of privacy coin which claims to be unique and can't experience 51% attack.
Well, I don't know what type of coin you are looking for, but for top exchanges like Kucoin and Gate to list it, at least it shows it is not a scam, nevertheless depending on what you want to achieve, if it is a long term holding or not, you will have to check out the team and how best they are in tune with their roadmap, this will give you an idea of what to expect at least and if your investment will be worth it at the end.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the basic difference bitcoin and ethereum? on: August 08, 2021, 06:50:52 PM
Thanks for the short write-up, it is actually filled with the necessary information one can grab as fast as possible. In addition, I would like to add that, Ethereum is the blockchain with the best smart contracts than others, and its DApps are growing more and more with each day that is to show more users and developers are finding it better than others.
Bitcoin on the other hand can be said to be the most decentralized blockchain than Ethereum, and this decentralization is most likely what lead to the huge trust people have for it, such that many people who want to invest in a big way with crypto always starts with Bitcoin, people who are planning for long term also starts with Bitcoin before considering others like Ethereum . However, both are the best cryptocurrencies out there and their growth and adoption can't be compared to others.
