201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 01, 2020, 11:45:52 AM
He is one of the big mans in the PBA which I admire, Almazan is not a lazy center, he had great stats when he was still playing with the ROS and with his team, I hope he will be healthy so he can play all if not most of the games. Again, without Junemar, big like him has a chance to dominate and help his team.
Yup! Actually he is my top favorite in Center position. He is quite aggressive and hardworking but we can't deny that his overall performance changed after his injury before. That's very unfortunate. I hope this new season he is now completely recovered not only physically but mentally as well because sometimes our fears are harder to surpass than any illnesses.

Anyway, I saw this random post in FB recently regarding the long awaited PBA bubble. I want to knonow your opinion about this one.

Like wth, it doesn't make sense. They are prohibiting fist bumps and high fives for safety but it seems they forgot that both teams are only using one basketball Grin.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 01, 2020, 07:02:13 AM
Huge blowout win by the LA Lakers, but it's just one win, what I'm worried with the Heat now is Bam's health, hopefully he will be back, he is one of the most important piece of the Heat. While this is a bad news for the heat.
They are lack of tall guys and this incident happened, how bad isn't it? Things are not going fine on the side of Heat right now Undecided. As you may noticed, the full force of Heat is obviously struggling against them. As far as I remember they weren't able to take the lead even for a single quarter. So what more worse could possibly happen knowing that Adebayo got an injury tsk.

Though high chance for us to see him in Game 2 as per source[/b], I doubt that he can give his best on it. Thus, lose again.
203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Bitcointalk sticky threads] Newbies - read before starting. on: October 01, 2020, 04:33:50 AM
Actually, creating a thread and jotting down the list of all pinned posts in the forum is not necessary. Why? Simply because they can be found easily on its respective boards. However, I still appreciate this initiative of yours OP. I agree on them, props for the efforst of compiling all the links. This one could really help the newbies out there since we all know that huge portion of them are either shrugging it off and jump to their agenda (campaigns of course) right away or simply hardheaded Grin.

I just hope this one really helps them on knowing the basics of this forum because if not then I don't know what would be the cure for their ignorance anymore.
204  Other / Meta / Re: With money, comes fame. True words. A "Thank You" message inside. on: October 01, 2020, 01:17:50 AM
[snip]

True. They could potentially be earned a lot more money, but their "success" and their morals are soiled. Being quite interested in the social engineering side of scamming, I'm confident that I could probably do great with scamming, but I definitely wouldn't be able to sleep at night(or live with myself). I'd rather be poor and homeless. Tongue
Well, there are really some people who became corrupted once they taste the sweetness of money. Maybe on our perspective, we can't forsee oursleves doing such thing but for scammers they are already immune of guilt. That's why it won't work even how hard we try to change them. In simple words, money is everything for them and they can do anything (even seling their own soul) for it. I feel pity for them Sad.

Everyone passes message in different boards and in different dimensions, I have passed out message in B&H board and I'm famous there as well ( I'm not hyping myself though) same as the way EdenHazard in gambling and Jet Cash in politics and society, so we are all famous.
You have a good point tho. We can be famous on our own little ways. Let's put it this way, if we are famous then members like OP mentioned and you as well can be considered super famous. Do you agree lol?
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 30, 2020, 08:07:33 AM
I have been gambling a lot these days with soccer matches but I'm not enough lucky to make a profit. Howeber, I'm not into huge loss. It's very tiny amount if I check all the previous P/L.
I don't bet big amount. Usually, I bet $4/$5 worth of BTC on a lot of matches; sometimes I win and sometimes I loss. But that can't make me any profit.
Should I go for bigger amount of bets on few matches or stay with current strategy (placing many bets of small amounts)?
If you are expecting to make more money then you should go with bigger bets and on the matches you are sure that you can win it, probably the winning amount is less but when you bet big amount then you will be getting decent amount in the rewards.
Indeed, you already mentioned that you are almost not creating profits at all. I guess it's time for you to change strategy. Bet bigger. You know, the higher the risks means the higher the possible rewards Cheesy. But remember, always consider your current status before doing so. If you can afford to lose bigger than the usual then go ahead but if not then don't push yourself. Stick with your old strategy (at least for now) until you finally get larger funds.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: September 30, 2020, 04:43:05 AM
I am a newbie on this forum and I have read my posts that people complaining how they lost their fund as a result of investing on Volatile coin like BTC. Is it now advisable for newbie like me to invest on less Volatile coin like Tether or Gemini USD.

A person who complains about his investment in bitcoin means that he doesn't understand the crypto market yet. the bigger the volatile, the greater the risk of winning or losing that you have chosen.
You can't blame them dude. Not all newbie investors can't grasp the technicalities of bitcoin or at least able to accept the haed truth about its high volatility that's why some of subconsciously think that stablecoins are better form of investment. Well, if you based on logic, it actually makes sense somehow. More stable, the less risks of losing. But this is all wrong of course Grin.

For me, stablecoins are just assets which can serve as our safe haven when we are trading.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 29, 2020, 08:23:05 AM
BTW the deadline to enter the PBA bubble is on October 10, 11:59 p.m., there is still time for Abueva to complete the requirements and join his team.
My question is, if Calvin Abueva able to pass all the requrments before the deadline and presuming he can now play again, what would happen to RR Garcia? As far as I know he is served as Abueva's proxy in order to complete Phoenix's 15 man roster. I think it would be unfair for Garcia if they will remove him all of a sudden.

Is it possible to have a 16th man on the team Cheesy?
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are DeFi projects trustless? on: September 29, 2020, 01:37:55 AM
As if each member of the core team got different perspectives or cannot be influenced by one another Roll Eyes. It's a little bit unbelievable on that part. Of course they naturally have unity (that's why they are called a team) so if they will be given a chance to manipulate the code, especially when the project is on its hype, and the greed kicks in then I'm sure they pull it off.

But well, Defis are not different in the rest of investment schemes thus we can't look at it as the only untrustworthy here lol. All I can say is "Pick your own poison". Scammers are inevitable so be wiser.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 28, 2020, 01:00:42 PM
And McGregor is a much more harmless than the other boxers out there who are calling Manny Pacquiao.
Yup! Not even close to any of Pacquiao's opponents. Don't get me wrong, Conor is well known because of his striking abilities. But if you may notice, he is not a heavy puncher, he is just a sharp one.

Furthermore, boxing gloves is not the same as MMA gloves. And I doubt that he can adjust with it in such a short period of time. In that being said, Conor no longer had an ace card against Manny. How he can win now?

He has a lot of future in the Philippine politics that he may have retired for good now.
You know what, I may agree on you. Even though his educational background is way far from the other senators, I don't look at it as a downside. It's true that only a poor can deeply understand the struggles of his fellow. Plus, I'm pretty sure that he will never be corrupt. C'mon! No need to do so since he already had a plenty of money Grin so we can expect that he will just into public service. Nothing more, nothing less.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: September 28, 2020, 10:03:09 AM
[snip]

The bitcoin does not really worry about because they are volatile if you want to choose between investing with the real state of bitcoin, I will rather choose the real state because the price of it increases every time a year will come bitcoin is just volatile, so there is a change every time well I want to have a secured long term investment.
Me too. If ever I had the adequate amount of money for engaging with real estates then I would be willing to do it. No hesitations at all. Coz why not? Because like what you've said, these hard times are the best time to buy one. You can save a lot by buying those properties that are sold in lower price.

Thanks to Xian Gaza Grin. I'm sure you know who he is but despite of his bad credential records I idolize him when it comes to financing. He enlightened me more on the dos and don'ts when it comes to real estate.
211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk Bounty challenges, difficulties [GUIDE] on: September 28, 2020, 04:11:15 AM
Thanks for the reminders dude, I'm fortunate that I realized all these things early. And the result is very wonderful because until now my whole journey so far was mainly compose of good memories. I did the right decision and everyone else should do the same thing. I also hope they (especially the newbies) realized it very soon so that their time and efforts will not be wasted for nothing.

  • Never participate, there other ways you can earn on the forum service board for a fixed price or payout in BTC.
The best advice ever lol Cheesy. Don't get me wrong, I'm do not hate altcoins, what I hate are bounty campaigns. Much better to offer your services rather than joining one.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: September 27, 2020, 10:49:02 AM
What are you exactly pertaining about? The messaging app itself or the projects with telegram channels that you joined in? Be precise because many will contradict you (seems obvious actually). If you had a bad experience on such projects then get mad on those projects not on the medium Grin. If I were you, I will move on once and for all and avoid investing in new tokens. That's the key I think.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Micah - Sept 26 on: September 27, 2020, 06:05:22 AM
It's such an easy win for John Riel it was made easy because Micah is coming forward and was not afraid of Casimero's punches the left hooks body punches and the uppercuts are all coming in I felt those body shots even watching, so even if you are Olympian that won't do against a seasoned veteran.
Indeed. That's the advantage of a smaller person against close combat. Hmm I'm just wondering why it seems Micah did not feel threatened about it from the very beginning. He keep on charging and throw punches like there's no tomorrow Cheesy. The left hook right on Micah's temple on the 2nd round is so devastating. It makes me cringe. Nonetheless, props to him for giving us an exciting match (though not lasted too long).

Okay, let's go back to the main business. When will Casimero finally fight against Inoue? I'm really exvited to watch this match.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: September 27, 2020, 04:53:59 AM
[snip]
Yeah, this is also a problem.
But what I want to achieve is somehow they will know or start become curious about what Bitcoin is. Like, my present to them is a way to they will introduce to Bitcoin. Just like I am advertising Bitcoin thru Christmas present.
If you really want to poke their attention then give them a hardware wallet. Choose Trezor instead of Ledger as much as possible because its design is more intriguing (you know, they might think Ledger was just a simple flash drive). After giving it, I'm sure they will ask you about what does that "car key stuff" can do Grin. And there you have it! Their curiosity kicks in and that's the time for you to introduce bitcoin. I just hope they will like the concept and adopt the tech in the long run.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 27, 2020, 01:10:32 AM
What makes interesting is that some part of the proceeds will be donated to the victims of coronavirus in Philippines. This is a good thing I see to help the victims.
Okay, I'll give credits to this one. Since the match can be able to help to ease the burden of the virus here in our country, I'll be glad for this to happen. However, I still can't get rid off my mind why Conor keep on doing unnecessary things like this. Like wth, he is an MMA fighter thus he should fight inside the octagon and not the boxing ring. IMO, if he really wants publicity and exposure then he should do it the right way.
So, who is your favourite bet? Who do you think will win the fight?
Pacquiao definitely. All the advantage is on him. Conor can match him for 2 to 4 rounds but for sure he will be out of gas in the middle and late rounds like what happened to him last time against Mayweather Grin.
216  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My newbie stress reliever on: September 26, 2020, 11:01:21 AM
What can you say about the plan?
Well, there are things need to consider first before making crypto savings. First, if you are only putting extra money from your source of income (whether a job or came from business) then that's fine because it will not harm you once the situation gets worse. But if you are planning to invest some coming from your monthly budget then Abort the mission! right now. That was a bad move for sure.

Actually, it doesn't matter whether your entry point is around $10k, lower or higher. It's not the issue. The crucial thing here is you are trying to make a volatile asset as your savings. I hope you understand what I'm talking about.

Anyway, thank you for your service as a frontliner kabayan. We salute you Smiley. God bless and keep safe.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: September 26, 2020, 07:06:12 AM
It is just important to investigate no matter how little before participating in any bounty.
Nah, I don't think they will make a research first before jumping in simply because it takes time to do so. Of course, every bounty hunters want to be first in the line thus they are joining suddenly as soon as the opportunity opened. And when things get f*cked up, boom! Instant regrets.

Recently, a manager rejected my article.  Although everything was done according to the rules.  I read other articles he accepted and saw that some of them are worse than mine.  One gets the impression that only the articles of their people were accepted.  There was a vague explanation to my question, and in the end I did not understand why my article was not accepted.  I decided not to contact such managers anymore and to choose projects only from honest managers.
I feel sorry for your experience but at least you already learned a lesson there. That is more important than anything else. So next time, don't be hasty. If you find the manager not trustworthy then don't apply, lots of time and effort will be saved by doing so Wink.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: UK’s economy will lose a good amount of money if football clubs shut. on: September 26, 2020, 04:22:54 AM
Their government should weigh things precisely because sports industry, particularly football, is a huge industry in the European region. Significant amount of tax will get lost if they continue imposing strict safety protocols. But on the other hand, chances to have faster rate of infection may happen when they take things lighter. So what's the best option right now?

IMO, they should go for the first one because as far as I'm concern our country did the latter one which resulted to worse. Yeah! We are now more free to go outside but at what cost — we got the highest number of cases in SEA. Tsk Undecided. Other countries must learn from such experience. On that note, football organizations can do PPV to ease their financial burden instead of shutting down since health issues can't be compromised.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: September 25, 2020, 01:46:14 PM
For me it really was. Last quarter of 2017 is the best compared to the next one up to until now. Actually, it was a great time to start my journey as a bitcoin investor Smiley.

Though last ATH was so memorable for most of us, I do believe that we don't just end there. I know the price right now is having a hard time to stabilize and to soar high but I am confident that it will skyrocket in the future especially knowing that the current pandemic opened a huge opportunity for people to get know of it more. Maybe after a year, two or three? Who knows? The best thing to do right now is to keep hoarding Grin. (Sounds greedy so still buy at your own risk)
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the future holds for bitcoin on: September 25, 2020, 09:35:37 AM
From my own opinion its a better way of accumulating wealth and secure a perfect future of cashless policy
I would agree on the latter part because bitcoin really gives us the futuristic feeling. However, we're still not sure if such feature will get harnessed by the entire world and totally replace cold cash in the future. You know, fiat got its own advantages which crypto can't beat Grin.

When it comes on the first part, I barely agree to you. Why? Because it is volatile and don't hold an intrinsic value compare to gold or other precious metals. Try to find other means of investment if you really want to store value because crypto is so unpredictable. You can't expect a great or at least same outcome after holding it for a very long time.
