I guess they will buy back and burn the extra tokens to balance the supply and demand in the market so the tokens will get a better value.
If they will keep on buying back and burn those tokens then it will end up to nothing in the end and this is not a wise choice to do.
Maybe they can give us clarification to this in their side.

Well i am sure if and when they do a buyback they will destroy some of the tokens. Like you said some destruction of tokens will raise the price.

Modulus has provided its services to The Nasdaq Stock Market, Microsoft, and Google, amongst many other top names, in addition to millions of individual investors and traders around the world.

i saw this news on google. It's a good read!

Now this is some great news, a partnership alliance like this will create room for more growth and profits along with larger investment opportunities.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 📱 AppCoins - The New Blockchain-Based Protocol For The App Stores 🔋 on: November 28, 2017, 10:59:31 AM
I think there's some confusion here about this:

One thing is Aptoide, which is an independent Android app store that has been around since 2009 and it's very successful. The Aptoide model is based on its social features. Any user can upload APKs to their own "profile" (their own store). And they can share those APKs with other users. This is similar to what Youtube does. Users can share videos. Of course, many videos are not made by the users themselves and may be copyrighted. That's why they have a DMCA compliant process where copyrighted content is removed on the request of the intellectual property owners. Aptoide follows the same process. Now you may ask, why would users want to upload and share APKs? The logic is somewhat similar to Spotify. You can make lists of apps by theme or your own selection. But also, it allows you to use Aptoide as a way to Backup the apps that you have in your phone, since as we all know, our phones have limited space, and Aptoide provides a kind of storage for that as well. This is why the model has been successful because it ensures that developers get recognized as the owners of the intellectual property, but also gives users the flexibility to help distribute and backup their apps. Additionally, as a quality assurance process, every app is filtered for malware, and fake apps are removed automatically. A seal of approval appears in the apps (Trusted badge) that signals to the community that the app can be downloaded. Parallel to this automated system, the community can also vote and mark content as malware, fake, etc...

So Aptoide ensures that a decentralized content distribution model works for everyone involved: user, developer and OEM (since they can currently make money off Aptoide based white-label app store solutions).

Now, what does this have to do with AppCoins?
Aptoide is supporting the development of AppCoins as an open protocol for all app stores. To be clear about this, the larger part of the team working on AppCoins is part of Aptoide, for now. In 2018 when the foundation is established, the management of the project will shift to this foundation, and Aptoide will no longer control it. Just think of Apache Software Foundation for instance. One of the reasons why Aptoide is involved with AppCoins is that decentralization, transparency, and openness are already part of Aptoide's DNA. Blockchain helps Aptoide (and in the future other app stores) to take a further step into decentralization and transparency, by decentralizing the advertising, in-app purchase, and app reputation processes and proposing a protocol that makes these processes universal.

Thank you for posting this, i am sure it will benefit several people who have posted questions in the last few posts.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to pay $8200 for 1 BTC if you are a newbie? on: November 28, 2017, 06:07:24 AM
Is bitcoin still a good investment for newbies? Is it worth to pay almost $8200 for 1 BTC today?

I don't think that is a proper question the way it is asked. That is kind of like someone asking if a 18 year old shpuld buu stocks or get a retirement 401k account. Any investment does not care how old you are. The same goes for bitcoin, someone who has been with bitcoin since start does not get bitcoin cheaper than a newbie

I spent over ten minutes reading the last 5 pages of this thread. To assist in my research paper on modern ICO's please tell me:
Did they pay anyone yet?

That's already moved. Check the last page of the thread and see my update there.

I can confirm i got payment late Tuesday night. I even posted it on here somewhere lol.

I want to make sure i understand this correctly. This is going to be like a customer loyalty program is that correct?

Well i must say this  something i thought i would never see affected by crypto technology.  I was wrong, but i must say i am happy to see blockchain going on dating.

From what I know and what I came across on the sponsorship of trade.io on Facebook, trade.io has already past $7000 which is a great progress. Seeing also the previous post of trade.io for us to monitor their progress would be very helpful for us users to help us decide to invest or not. Pretty sure this project would turn out great, seeing the tremendous increase in just a short amount of time. Best of luck to you trade.io! I hope to see you improve and be great some day. Will decide to invest once it launches! I know I would lose money if I don't buy during the Pre-ICO however, I just want to see it have an awesome finish-- meaning awesome official launch, and then I would start investing. I'm also waiting for youtube videos that would help me invest, so i'd rather wait for someone to try it out and then i'll learn from there, unless you guys already have tutorials?

I don't  think there is any tutorials on there as far as i know but i may be wrong. Now you are correct in saying if you wait you loose out on the really good bonuses.

Ive read that there might be minimal fees on transactions on every App stores, how minimal do u mean by this?

Are you referring to the fees companies pay app store to advertise or are you referring to fees for the consumer. Unless i misunderstood the paper i assume it means the fees for companies.
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in bitcoin on: November 27, 2017, 12:05:33 AM
The cost of bitcoin for the year increased by 1000%.
Many of these stocks?
How many taxes would you pay when selling your shares?
The answers to these questions are clear to all.

I want to start of by saying that i own bitcoin and mine bitcoin  , so i dont want my comments to be seen as anti bitcoin.  The price of bitcoin won't be going up 1000% a year like you mentioned. In all honesty even a 50% a year increase in bitcoin price would be amazing.  As far as taxes go, when reported to internal revenue service you pay almost 33% tax.

From $8M to $11.5 real quick! Seems like lots of investors are going for Trade.io! Don't be late, invest!
its because trade.io is so popular now , and they gained more investors ,. And its only the beginning of the project , how come when trade.io platform and roadmap finish.

Also lets not forget the price of ethereum is going up. It has done a nice up movememt in the last 3 days as well. Smiley Lets not forget that also.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 📱 AppCoins - The New Blockchain-Based Protocol For The App Stores 🔋 on: November 26, 2017, 09:49:14 AM
Can I connect appcoin to my bank account like coinbase and iphone. Paying directly for app through my bank could make adoption easier for non-crypto users!

I am sure they will offer a payment storr option or link to accounts like you mentioned.  I wonder what the fees will be like and the holding time for funds.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Message to Satoshi, please dump your 1million bitcoins on: November 26, 2017, 08:16:28 AM
We can loose anything if Mr. Satoshi would do that. You should say prayers that he never do that.. He has 700 million dollars in his pocket, so why he would even do something like this Smiley

Raed here: http://uk.businessinsider.com/satoshi-nakamoto-owns-one-million-bitcoin-700-price-2016-6

The way i see this topic is what we call a catch 22 or a double edged sword. First of all if Mr or Mrs Satoshi are still alive or free " as in not prisoners " them selling all those bitcoins would cause a panic. I think we would see a massive sell off and a price drop up to 50%. The good thing about it is that there would no  longer be that elephant in the room. So we could continue buying without that worry so it might be a good thing in my opinion.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: November 26, 2017, 04:44:41 AM
Well if you look around you will find plenty of articles talking about people who want to hack bitcoin.  Obviously people are also employing different tactics like using fishing attacks or other methods to deceive people to download bad programs. So always remember to follow proper safety procedures and dont download stuff or suspicious " updates " and maybe that will reduce the risks.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins got me my X. on: November 25, 2017, 01:13:27 PM
Last year when I came to this forum last year, I was working as a employee, same routine life, same work, and the usual low class life. I had since iphone 3gs wanted to own a iphone, use it and have what it feels like to own a Apple iPhone and a few days back I ordered it, made the payment to the guy using BITCOINS, planning to use it for a year or two and sell it and again buy Bitcoin. For all those who say Bitcoin is not East to be traded, is a scam guess what I have successfully quit my job, brought my X and am living an amazing life thanks to Bitcoin. A big thank you to Bitcoin and this community. May my story inspire you'll to earn more coins.

This is a good example of how bitcoin and how other crypto currencies can help people use bitcoin. Some use it as a savings account with high growth essentially or a store of value as some say. Then people like me also use it as a financial way of spending. I only do the spending when i really have to since no-one wants that $6 Starbucks coffee purchase made today to be a $50 coffee in a few months lol.

Guys!! Check this out! Remember China banned bitcoins?

https://venturebeat.com/2017/10/30/trade-io-investment-allows-chinese-billionaire-to-sidestep-the-ico-ban/

They are willing to set aside the ban if this trade.io investment pushes through!!

The article is quite a click bait if you ask me, they won't really set aside the ban if ever trade.io investment pushes through, they are merely suggesting that maybe China will eventually lift its ICO ban because major Chinese billionaire's are investing on other countries ico and accepting positions on overseas projects like this project. Reading this article just shows how influential the people who are investing on this project and how powerful the team behind this project are. Knowing that a major Chinese billionaire is part of this project's board of directors just gives me so much confident on this project's success. Regarding the article though I do believe that this ICO ban is just temporary and just a way for China to filter the ICOs that are being invested on by their citizens, eventually once they'll figure out the good icos from the bad then they'll probably lift this ban because it's pretty obvious that they do support the blockchain technology and ofcourse bitcoins, seeing that most of the major bitcoin miners are from China.

I agree, this might be a click bait looking for foot traffic in their website. However, if trade.io has the capacity to lure the chinese government this would be great for both trade.io and bitcoin holders

I think that there is a possibility this might have some truth to it to some degree. I know China is on the anti crypto currencies at the moment but no way this will last forever since it would essentially be lost revenue.

How come that advertisers will gain more revenue with appcoins?  It will contradict to all investors if this is really true because no investors will put big effort in advertising just to gain more revenue from the project.

I am just curious on this article you mentioned.  Where did you find this article i would like to read it. I tried to Google it but got nothing relevant.

I saw the same article https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/aptoide-aims-revolutionize-app-store-appcoins/ where developers get users through advertisement and get paid for their attention

Ok thanks for that, from what i read it seemed to be exactly how you said it. Now if this really comes true then i can only see growth from advertising
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 401(k) on: November 25, 2017, 07:27:17 AM
Has anyone heard of or done this? Rolling your 401(k) into Bitcoin?

I have not heard of any 401(k) fund than invests in Bitcoin yet.  Also I don't think there is a suitable investment vehicle that is available for regular (non-accredited) investors to buy in their rollover IRAs. However, it is possible to set up a trust that would allow you to hold bitcoins in an IRA.

I must say that a ira or a roth ira that is involved in bitcoin will surely fist all off enjoy a good constant positive growth. Now i personally have not heard of any institutions offering this service in the USA with a good track record. You mention something about a growing  number of private companies offerr 401k. I say we just wait auntil more lol.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Can Bitcoin Be Mainstream? on: November 25, 2017, 07:10:31 AM

We have heard the term 'mainstream' every now and then in connection with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency for that matter. It has been a very good topic in this forum and even in social media. Apparently, Bitcoin has not yet been considered to have passed the mainstream status all because only a certain percentage of the population have heard about it and got into it...even with the continuing coverage of the mainstream media and some famous personalities also getting into Bitcoin and even endorsing its adoption.

Now, am wondering, when can we say that Bitcoin is already part of the mainstream? Should we require a billion people to be holders of the coin? Or maybe the value of Bitcoin to have surpassed that of Facebook or Google? Or would it be the whole of your neighborhood already have some Bitcoin in their wallet app?

Please share the kind of scenario you think must happen before we can say that Bitcoin is now part and parcel of the mainstream population...

I can assure you whete i live i don't have the whole neighborhood owning any bitcoin or heard of it. Last time i wore my bitcoin mining shirt i had two guys ask me if the government had lifted the ban on coal mining. They got all excited but when i advise it was electronic mining they got even more confused. Now we are starting to see bitcoin in the news  due to surge.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help! Faucets Are Wasting My Time. I Need Better Ways To Earn Bitcoins Asap on: November 25, 2017, 06:54:09 AM
Good day everybody, I have spent more than one year earning satoshi's from faucet sites and it has amounted to little or nothing to me. I sincerely need the help of professionals here, I need urgent advice and tips on how to earn about $100 worth of Bitcoins in a month.
Note:  This is an SOS call, I await critical solutions urgently.

Honestly i am not sure what options you have to earn the amount of bitcoin that you asked for in a month without any skills. I am also not sure how long it would take someone to earn $100.00 in bitcoins doing faucets but i imagine it would be some time.  You can try looking at alt coins campaign as a way to build up propper posts.
