2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Dogecoin could fail in the future on: December 18, 2022, 10:49:39 PM
Dogecoin gained popularity due to its low cost as well as its welcoming community. Its community of users behind Dogecoin is involved on various social platforms, and it gained popularity specifically from Reddit.

Doge could fail because -
Dogecoin could fail in the near future due to its outdated blockchain technology. The Dogecoin blockchain is built on the Litecoin blockchain, which is based on Bitcoin's Blockchain.
One of the main issues with old blockchains is that they're not scalable. They are unable to manage large volumes of transactions without slowing down or mistakes.

Investors advice on investing in Dogecoin now as this is being the best time to purchase doge. Dogecoin prices are expected to rise as we approach the annual close. The increase in price fluctuations may eventually assist the price to soar and as per Coinpedia doge price prediction it will close the year at $0.118.

Are these cons going to result in dogecoin price failing or Elon Musk support for it make this coin price increase?

It's simple really.  Dogecoin can fail because demand can't keep up with 10k coin block reward every minute for eternity.  People don't understand that demand always has to increase at least by the amount that total supply goes up by, otherwise the price will fall.  Inevitably there is no way price can go up due to this.  Just simple economics.

~snip~
Mbappe got a super man power in him in 2nd round .. even the whole Argentina team was so upset but they both played well and they both deserve appreciation

He was so disappointed when the full time arrived and he wasn't able to score a fourth goal  Cheesy

It looks like he will take over Messi as the greatest player in the world, he's so good.

And the speed he can achieve is out of this world.

I mean he probably can arguably be claimed as the best player in the world now.  I mean France didn't win but that's not because of Mbappe.  Dude did everything he could for that squad to win.  His equalizer in regular time was beautiful.  Not many people can pull that one touch volley like he did.  Glad for Messi though.  Feather in the cap of his career.
2003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 18, 2022, 10:44:02 PM
My pick for tonight.

Detroit Pistons vs Brooklyn Nets (-2.5) = First Quarter Win 1,83 Odds.

Good luck guys.

I'm taking the whole game.  Nets -8 seems like an easy vet even though they are on the road.  Also taking a couple other home games tonight.

Taking the Timberwolves getting 1.5 points at home.  Getting points on home court I like taking.

And last gimme the Nuggets at home giving -9 points against Charlotte.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 18, 2022, 10:40:32 PM
It is very very weird to see Warriors at 11th and Lakers at 12th. I mean they have started the season so terribly, and now Steph is injured as well for a long time so it is going to be very very hard to be even in the playoffs, and Lakers started terribly and some smaller changes made Lakers a bit better but they need a 4 win streak to even reach .500 so it is not going to be easy.

These are really good teams who are struggling right now, with some right strategy and tactics they should be able to reach to first 8 and made it to playoffs, they should. I think the season is still early, we are close to just half, not even there yet, so with time maybe it will happen.

Lakers don't have any depth what so ever.  After AD and lebron they really don't have anyone to shoulder the load.  Golden state will be fine.  They have plenty of guys who can step in both vertern and young guys.  For some reason golden state always starts slow.

I'm a genius, decided to listen to the pundits instead of myself and last second pulled Zay Jones for Higgins and Monty for Bam Knight.

Looks like you still might win your match, albeit with a less crushing score than it could have been.

And whats up with this, make up your mind LOL

Classic flip flipper lol.  Without looking my guess is you never even started him.  Anytime I flip flop on a player like that amd they are available week to week I never even start him.  Terrible year gonna have to change up my draft for next year, good luck everyone

Take a look at this crypto company called Bitcoin.com, the name itself have a lot to say but instead these people went and create their coin on Ethereum  Grin Grin Grin

Can we say they don't know what they are doing? How can you name your project Bitcoin dot come and create token on Ethereum? I belief that Bitcoin dot come should have make their own bitcoin coin.

People use the bitcoin name just to gain attention.  Most everything is just a scam.  Stick to the original bitcoin and some high end alt projects and you should be fine.  Steer clear of anything that looks like a misdirection.

Jist saying my knicks with 6 in a row.  Back to back wins on the road against Chicago.  Their defense has been amazing once thibs has changed to this 9 man rotation.  Quentin grimes taking over the starting sg position has changed the complex of this team.  They might not be championship level but at least they are fun to watch now.  Looking forward to this next month to see which direction they go.

I have got what I wanted from the consolation game today. I was expecting Croatia to be the winner against Morocco after a competitive game. Morocco didn't have as many goal attempts as their opponent maybe but they still managed to keep the score at the level they would like. They were really quick about an answer to Gvardiol's goal.

However Orsic's marvelous goal to the right corner sealed the deal for Croatia. I think both of these teams deserve appreciations because of their big efforts so far. Especially Morocco have become the first team reaching the semi finals in Africa continent for the first time.

It was actually closer than I thought.  Croatia is built to break down the defense of a team like Morocco.  Was thinking they were gonna win by 2 or 3 goals.  Overall good showing by both teams throughout the entire world cup well done.
2009  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Bull charges backward before rushing forward in "full force" on: December 16, 2022, 10:29:45 PM
From my understanding and how long i have been on the market race i have seen something very unusual to which i noticed whenever the market want to dip initially it will create a bullish movement whereby traders could likely falls into the trap thinking is all bull, after awhile you start sensing it reversing, so it is with the bull whenever it want to be all Green you sense a very big dip before finally going Green. So from your post is absolute confirmed which i have noticed it as well.
Decembers has always been a pretty cool time for the market to go all Green and this could likely be the last dip we may see for the year.
Hopefully, what we want to see in terms of fast price movements occurring at the end of the year, which is widely predicted, is the time that always shows where prices will fly again. What we have to realize is that the market cannot be predicted with great precision. But comparing the movements that have always occurred this year we will see the green candle return.
The thing that makes us see prices dropping sharply is that this year there were several events that greatly affected the price itself. If we don't see that maybe we're not in the price we're seeing right now.

Honestly that is when we have seen prices plummet.  You will get a lot of tax selling to claim losses but in general most bears actually started in November ish time-frame, 2013 peak, 2017 peak, etc.  I'm not saying we should see a complete bottom out from here but I wouldn't be surprised.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Dogecoin could fail in the future on: December 16, 2022, 10:25:54 PM
Dogecoin will not be abandoned, it will always be remembered as one of the low cost coins and people will always use this coin for transactions. But to invest in this coin, I personally would not do it, because basically this coin doesn't have strong enough fundamentals and ecosystem, only relying on their community which continues to shill like for example what Elon Musk did some time ago. Do you think that Dogecoin will experience another fantastic price increase?

No.  Altcoins and fads usually only get one massive pump or bull run.  Can you makeover with doge long term, maybe.  But with the block rewards set at 10k new coins each minute forever, usd pricing will never be able to keep up.  Value in usd will continue to drop even if demand stays static, just because the supply keeps going up.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 16, 2022, 10:23:58 PM

Many people want Messi to win the World Cup, but only Ronaldo's fans oppose him because of the dispute between them and Messi supporters.

Messi has represented his team very well throughout his career, and because this is his last World Cup due to his age, and I believe he will soon announce his retirement from the National team, I wanted him to win because he deserved to win.

Messi deserves to win this World Cup, he is a phenomenon and I think he has proved it several times, but not only is he also very humble compared to Ronaldo and other more popular footballers.  Mbappe is still young and can still compete for a world cup.  I think this is Messi's year and I really hope he succeeds.

I'm with you I'd like to see Messi walk away with one.  But just imagine if France won again.  Mbappe in his early 20s with already two world cup victories on his resume and could likely win the golden boot along with it.  The story lines are good either way.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 16, 2022, 10:20:40 PM
Poole and Wiggins and Klay all three will have their hands full, I am not sure if all three are uninjured and available to play to be fair, maybe one of them is injured too. But if they are all healthy, the offense will run through these three and they will have to carry the scoring load.

This is a 30+ point guy we are talking about they are missing, so they will combined need to make 30+ more points together, will take more shots of course, but considering how efficient Curry has been, it is going to be hard to do it at the same amount of shooting as well. Plus, the spacing will not be the same, curry gets defences even before half court, whereas these players won't and that's a difference too.

Warriors to begin with have been underperforming this regular, and now having to go several weeks without Stephen Curry will surely put their whole season in a bit of jeopardy, and also given the fact that they're barely clinging to that 10th position, the last in the play-in tournament.

Warriors would in my opinion have been in better shape or situation if they had kept a couple their role players from last season, I'm sure a healthy  Juan Toscano-Anderson, Nemanja Bjelica and Damion Lee will all come in very handy right and will help reduce the amount of work loads on their starters.

I actually think they will be fine without steph.  Think they will gel as a team and Poole will step up.  Gonna take the Poole over in points props most games.  He is going to get a ton of shots and defenses will focus on klay.

Bunch of games and a mixed bag of home and road teams I like:

Boston -12.5 at home against Orlando.  Thos should be a blowout
Knicks/bulls under. 225.5. They just played each other think this one is a 107-99 type game.
And Denver-1.5 on the road against the Lakers.  Nobody can stop jokic, this should actually not even be a close game.

Good luck everyone
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH whales buying MATIC. Price surge incoming? on: December 15, 2022, 10:55:44 PM
Source: https://coingape.com/top-eth-whales-buying-polygon-matic-will-matic-price-surge/

In my own instinct, I had a feeling at some point in the future that MATIC might be having it’s own bull run momentum. It’s still way undervalued as of today.

More projects are using the Polygon blockchain nowadays. However, I also know that there will be no guarantees or promises that the big bull run of MATIC may happen or not.

As of this time, its still cheap to buy MATIC. If I have missed BNB’s big bull run back then, I think I cannot afford missing MATIC this time. But this is just speculation of course. I’ll just spend an amount that I can afford to lose.

What are your insights about this one after this latest move by the ETH whales in buying Polygon? Are they taking MATIC seriously now? Hmmm…..

I'm thinking the same thing.  More and more platforms are migrating to matic, even though it has had a mini run I think a big jump will be incoming with the next bull run.  At least my bag is hoping that happens 😀

The highlight that Bol Bol just made is downright dirty. He went on a full court break and dunked through the lane while juking 3 Hawks out of their socks. Check it out on Twitter to see it. He’s currently trending as a result. I can’t believe he didn’t get more playing time before the trade. I know he’s probably gotten better as a player but it’s clear he has major skills that go beyond a year of growth on the basketball court.

Problem is and will be his durability.  It is crazy when people break out of no where when they get or gotten little to no run.  I just never like the longevity of super tall guys who try to play anything more than a rum runner.  Theor bodies usually give out earlier than not.

They tried to compare him with Wembanyama which I really didn't find any significant on gameplay, they are hyping the kid to get huge attention but it didn't justify yet the comparison. But its undeniable that Bol Bol improve this season maybe he need to sustain or improve more his performance and make sure that he's always in good shape maybe those past issues will gone to him 25.6 minutes playing time is decent already so he need to be more consistent to sustain that minutes and got decent exposure on court.

Wembanyama will be much better than bol bol.  Yeah I do agree but given their age and skill at the same age bol bol doesn't stack up.  I was weary too with Wembanyama but after watching the kid play a decent amount of times he is real good.  Just the bodies.  Big dudes don't last usually.  He needs to bulk up.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Discussion Thread on: December 15, 2022, 10:49:20 PM
The games are actually getting more interesting day by day, but the finals will be particularly exciting because both teams will want to win. My main concern right now is Morocco, and I hope they take third because I believe they deserve it after putting in so much effort. I'm not worried about France because I know they will deliver the cup fully to them, and Argentina should take second because I'm still upset that Brazil and England were eliminated. Grin

I'm not so sure you can just count Argentina out.  You do t think Messi is going to want this as part of his lifetime resume.  This will be a well played match with both teams having a great chance to win.  Would love to see a shootout to cap it all.

I thought I was an expert when it comes to picking good altcoins but I know nothing, all this while I never knew how important is vesting period when investing in crypto projects, no wonder some altcoins never go back to their ATH again.

I messed up pretty bad, I build a crypto portfolio with over 3 projects with bad tokenomics, if you don't know, vesting in another word means token lock-up, the team will lock part of the token supply for a period of time, and later they release them.

Fact is the release of those tokens will make the value of the token go down, have you ever look at a project with 20 billion supply that still has 0.86$ value per token in a bear market? That's the case. High max supply with high value. Very common with projects on token vesting.

If you buy such tokens you will lose money when the token unlock take place, watch out when making some choice with altcoins, also here is one of the few websites that keep track on projects token unlock

https://token.unlocks.app

Use it to your advantage

Yeah locking up altcoins is crazy for sure.  Not knowing from day to day how the market will turn and nothing ypu can do about it is terrible.  I have never been involved in any coisn or tokens that made me lock them up for a specified period.  You need to be able to turn at any point.  I'd steer clear from new projects that ties your money up.  Usually ends badly

Celtics vs Lakers is game of the year so far in this fresh NBA season. Can we all agree on this ? Also , Tatum seems to be in beast mode lately and he said in interview after game that he felt like he is the best player in the court  last night and I must agree with him as Tatum , like it or not , he is evolving in such a rapid pace that we might assist greatness from him this year and incoming years as well.

Besides this , dude still have room to grow in height, right ?This year only he got some height during the break or it was last year ? I don't remember exactly when but I know for sure Tatum is evolving very fast in all aspects, including gaining height at his age...

There has been a ton of good games.  I watched this one end to end and the 2 comebacks in the 4th quarter were great for sure.  First the Lakers storming back with a 20 something to 3l4 run to take a double digits lead and then the Celtics for not folding and coming right back.  But to be honest the Lakers handed that one over.  Easy short shots missed and Davis with 2 costly missed free throws.  Ot was uneventful as well.  This game had its moments but didn't have the last second drama it deserved.
