People can bitch about this kind of thing all they like, they won't be able to do anything the way they traditionally have, that's what makes cryptocurrencies so different from paper and fractional reserve here's why: 1. Bitcoin is open source, people who rant that it can be controlled should be ignored, open source software can never be controlled 2. Cryptocurrencies are something that all sorts of unlikely allies have rallied around as it is a way to truly become free of the current financial system 3. There are literally hundreds of alternatives available so even if a group did manage to take over Bitcoin ( It has been discussed to death why it would be very difficult to do so and conspiracy nutters just choose to ignore this ) the many alternatives would quickly adapt to the problems caused here by said group attempting to monopolise and manipulate the currency 4. Because Bitcoin is open source, the code can be reviewed any time, therefore cryptocurrencies as a whole are extremly scrutinised and peer reviewed, any attempt on the part of developers to manipulate the currency through the code itself would be quickly spotted and countered 5. I have made a copy of the original source code before any changes were made just in case and put it in my hard drive a long with a couple of other early versions, no one will be able to attack cryptocurrencies as long as I draw breath as long as people take steps to protect themselves against this kind of thing our enemies will be able to do nothing against us The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable. - Sun Tzu

^ It's not perfect. But wasn't it Jimmy Carter who said the election process in Venezuela was the best he had monitored? Out of over 90 countries. Off-topic here, but I found it funny he certified elections in Venezuela were fair, but couldn't say the same of elections in the United States.
Maybe by their 'standards' it was the best, I only tend to consider direct democracy to be a true democratic process because all that happens with other systems is you elect a dictator every term, once they're elected, all their promises go out the window.

lol "I had no idea how it got there" ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) videos don't upload themselves, I don't blame her for getting pissed off, but she shouldn't have let herself get thrown into jail because of such a douchebag, not worth it, oh and lets be honest any partner that would keep 'videos' of their sex with you I wouldn't trust for a second.

People like you never fail to amuse me, your conclusions aren't based off reality and you ignore facts more than the religious.

It's time to abandon paper money and use Bitcoin, Gold and Silver for trade instead, no gods! no masters!

Venezuela is a roten country. What I don't get is, the elections are supposedly perfectly democratic. So, why these idiots keep voting the same retards to be on power? Did they really vote Chavez then this Maduro guy? its like a joke.
It makes you think doesn't it? If people keep voting these assholes in power then why do they complain about them so much? I often keep thinking about that in my own country, we have a choice of three equal assholes here but people somehow keep voting them into office.

Fact is, the women are likely the ones egging on their men to join up and go and fight, if you look at the charlie hebdoe case there was a girl involved it was one of the terorrists' girlfriend.

If you're serious and not just messing, a false flag is basically where usually a ruling government entity ( or otherwise ) deliberately uses their own people or allies as a target to increase support for their causes or to incite hatred towards a particular group. To a much lesser extent what are called agent provocateurs were used quite a lot in protests such as the G20 summits and it was done using police officers who got dressed up in masks and acted as violent protestors so that the police would have an excuse to go in and arrest everyone.

I'll vouch for Genesis at this point, I have hashing power with them and so far at least they haven't done anything wrong, they pay me very consistently, there are legit cloud mining companies out there but like with anything in cryptocurrencies there are too many scammers out there that the legit companies get drowned out.

He has a valid point. Think about it: prosperous Muslims often have more than one wife, which limits the women available for the younger less-prosperous men. Then Islam tells the young men that they can't masturbate, they can't have sex with each other, and there are no available women. But if they martyr themselves, they'll have plenty of women in the afterlife.
If that's true then that's definitely going to be it, I'd go fucking nuts and take down governments if I couldn't masturbate when I wanted -_-

Holy crap, it was only around 4 minutes but that was actually a good interview, they listed facts and asked intelligent questions instead of just bullshitting all the time.

Even if your idea were to be done in a country the end result would still be the same, money printing destroys wealth, it doesn't create it, the supply of currency shouldn't be messed with after it's been created or at the very least should increase at a predictable rate like some cryptocurrencies do.
|
|
|
Money printing destroys the middle class, if you knew anything about how currencies work you'd realise why money printing in any form is a bad idea.

You can only withdraw the $20 if you deposit $2000. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) That seems very likely, I wouldn't trust it, in fact many of these 'Bitgold' ideas never turn out to be anything because they don't really post up proof of their gold reserves or are getting audited. For all you know they could just be buying gold from legitimate merchants and then posting it.

Avoid trading paper currency like the plague, it's all going to get extremely bad this year for paper currency as well as the various stock indexes, I actually dump all paper money I get into Bitcoin immediately unless I need to trade with people who don't accept Bitcoin.

Depends on what you define as 'early' adopter because I'm pretty sure anyone who has discovered Bitcoin before 2015 will be considered one considering how small the market is right now. I do think my favourite theory about Satoshi though is the one about him being an alien because it would be a pretty good explanation of why someone was able to post up such an advanced piece of software.

As somebody who wanks on a regular basis I resent Boris Johnson's comments.

"We will command all the software creators we can reach to introduce back-doors into their tools for us." Open Source will take care of that problem quickly.
