Thought I'd bump this thread rather than creating another to avoid spamming but guys, big news!

http://www.skynews.com.au/culture/showbiz/tv/2015/06/08/top-gear-reinvented-for-netflix-.html

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/top-gear-return-james-may-and-richard-hammond-expected-to-turn-down-multimillion-bbc-offer-and-join-jeremy-clarkson-on-netflix-10302835.html

please please please, let this be true lol!

All the major outlets are starting to report it now, so hopefully, hopefully something will be happening in a few months, need to wait and see for some actual confirmation of this though, too much bullshit out there at the moment.

That's why if the U.S stop fucking around then ISIS will lose, when even the CIA say that arming these various rebel groups never works you know somethings up, this is actually pretty much a working example of how non-interventionism is actually a good thing.
1123  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cockroach blames more cockroaches for move to new palace on: June 07, 2015, 06:47:55 PM
Hope the Kurds can influence the border controls in Turkey, they've stopped many of the kurds travelling across to fight ISIS but done nothing to stop the ISIS fighters, if there's at least a more moderate group in charge then there might be a chance to turn the whole war against ISIS around without the U.S.

It seems a little late by now. The U.S. is still massively supplying ISIS with armaments through the totally useless Iraqi U.S.-trained military.

Don't underestimate the Peshmerga Wink They're holding they're own with the U.S airstrikes, if they're not interfered with the kurds could easily take out ISIS even with the weaponry, the problem lots of countries including the U.S have shat on the Kurds diplomatically which has made getting weaponry and supplies difficult.

If the American public falls for this bullshit again I will have lost all respect for them, I suspect the lure of the first female president will be too great for them.

If they fall for it again you lose all respect?

You give the American voter much more credit than I could ever muster.

I keep trying to have faith in Democracy but it keeps screwing me over every time I'll admit Sad

I think for Ron Paul they replaced him with Newt Gingrich ( or however the hell you spell it ) even though he was about to or already dropped out of the race.

I think you'll find only misandrists dismiss gamersgate completely, while I think gamersgate could stand to improve their tactics and their tact a bit but that's what happens in any organisation you always have a few who take things too far and make the others look bad.

Was going to say, it's exactly like the Ron Paul fox news coverage, not like it, exactly like it.

1130  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why dont girls like me? on: June 05, 2015, 08:53:21 AM
Yes, because transforming yourself into an asshole will endear everyone to you especially women and get you in a long lasting relationship, like I've advocated for awhile now, the problem isn't men.
1131  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why dont girls like me? on: June 05, 2015, 07:13:29 AM
Honestly, I'm 25 and in a very similar position, I'm focused on work more though Tongue My thing is that it's always girls outside my country that like me, if you're in a western country, if you don't treat women like shit it could well be the girls themselves that are the problem.

My plan is, save up a ton of money and get a passive income, visit another country, see if the girls there treat me any different, I suspect they will because I've chatted to plenty even in America compared to here in the UK. It's actually really a common problem and one of the most bitched about things on the internet from what I see and the theory is that women our age aren't looking for a relationship and then when they start hitting their 30's and 40's they get desperate to go with anyone just so they can have a family. There are all kinds of stories out there from men who were turned down by people in school and so on only to have the exact same woman show up on their doorstep trying to get them because they've been screwed over by tons of douchebags they thought were more attractive.

Whatever you do, don't let yourself get hooked up with a psychopath who's just looking to get herself a baby and yes, they exist, seems to be a pretty scary problem unique to western countries. For me? I'm actually fairly happy being single right now, especially considering the alternatives, money first, then sex, at least if anything goes horrible wrong you can prepare for the consequences that way.

Oh and honestly guys, if you saw some of the girls in the UK you'd fucking keep your penis out of their way as well trust me, I'm not talking based on looks just on the fact they're genuinely psycho or have no sense. My favourite thing was explaining this sort of thing to one of my teachers and low and behold while we were listening to the radio a girl came on who was 19 or so and apparently she had something like 8 fucking boyfriends already.

It's not neccessarily the number I'm complaining about, but if you're looking for a 'stable' relationship and you're having to get through that many guys then maybe it's not the men that are the problem for fucks sake.

Sorry, you've set me off, I've got my own issues and had to deal with a psycho girls in the past at school myself Tongue

Im educated, well off, good looking and nice. I just am at a loss for words when speaking to a beautiful girl and always fumble.

And I actually agree with b!z, that's a pretty arrogant thing to say and will likely turn most women off.
1132  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fallout 4 on: June 04, 2015, 08:19:13 PM
theres a lot of rumours going around that the character cretion has been scraped and you can no longer pick a female if you like to play a female....obviously only rumours but if they have scraped the characters creation system that would be a major disappointment

Yes, don't hold your breath yet guys, wait until the actual game comes out so we don't all get ripped off.
1133  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeb Bush blames Obama for ISIS...(but we all know stupid runs in the family) on: June 04, 2015, 04:09:59 PM
My bad, got them mixed up -_- yes, you're right, the Suuni's were attacking the shiites.
1134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeb Bush blames Obama for ISIS...(but we all know stupid runs in the family) on: June 04, 2015, 01:23:51 PM
First of all, it was the warmonger George W Bush (Jeb's older brother), who toppled the secular Ba'ath regime of Saddam Hussain in Iraq and created the power vacuum in Iraq, which ultimately led to the creation of the ISIS. He is the one who is primarily responsible. Jeb Bush is just a clone of GW. He will be even worse than GW.
Bah.  GB did not create a "power vacuum" because he put and maintained troops on the ground in Iraq.  The power vacuum was created directly and 100% by Obama removing those troops and presence.

Let's at least get the facts and attribution of cause and effect right.

Oh come on, are you really going to excuse the actions of previous presidents purely due to your own partisanship? Ron Paul who many Republicans treat as the second coming of jesus wanted America out of Iraq entirely, I am sick to death of people defending people on 'their' side no matter how badly they fuck up or how blatantly wrong they are.

Fact is, George Bush killed Saddam Hussein, Saddam was violently surpressing the Suuni's who are now ISIS and after his death they were able to build a power base and start taking control of the region, this was happening far before Obama and it's something that both sides have helped perpertrate pretending Republicans aren't reponsible and only Democrats are is completely disingenious.

But knowing bullshit maintream politics, you're either going to accuse me of being a Democrat or you're going to ignore my post entirely and rant about Obama some more.

As long as I can aim at a guy's head and shoot him then it's fine, but even the most die-hard RPG fans must admit that if you aim at somebodies chest point blank and miss because the computer decides that you aren't going to get that shot that it is pretty ridiculous.
1137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Airlines that accept Bitcoin as payment! on: June 04, 2015, 10:41:41 AM
Soon we'll be able to flee our respective countries by spending Bitcoin instead of fiat Cheesy

Talk about a perfect escape, huh? Cheesy

Bitcoin really is perfect for that kind of thing though in all seriousness, can put it on a USB or somewhere safe on the internet while you travel, leave the country and open a bank account somewhere else where the country you left can't freeze it.

Which is exactly what I'll be doing when I have the money to.

1139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What to do with Bitcoins on: June 04, 2015, 10:10:55 AM
It depends on what you want from Bitcoin in general, I often buy stuff with it or sell it off to buy things I want, if however you want to keep it as a long term investment then just hold it in your wallet and let it stack up.
1140  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-03]DMT - Bitcoin is "Banned" in several countries on: June 04, 2015, 09:56:47 AM
The only thing they can prevent is the sale of Bitcoin for fiat, they can't prevent people directly trading Bitcoin for goods.

Actually they can if all major ISP's work with governments. They can detect the protocol and ban miners who don't follow the rules. Hell, governments could quite easily take over (or nationalize) all mining in the best interests of the nations or for national security if they wanted to.

Now, imagine gobal governance and a cashless society where every transaction is logged forever, and every bitcoin/crypto address needs to be registered, else transactions are dropped. Every police station in the world is connected to INTERPOL database. It would be simple - but time consuming - to implement a Bitcoin or Crypto Address Registration / Transaction Approval Service database every major ISP is connected to.

Have you seen what's happening with filesharing? It's not that easy, countries who try to shutdown Bitcoin entirely will likely end up bankrupting themselves trying to catch everyone who breaks the rules.
