The left have taken over entirely in Greece, I think the idea that they'd adopt Bitcoin is extremely optomistic, more than likely they'll blame capitalism itself and become another failed state and the EU will pretend Greece never existed.

.... As a straight white guy with an existing sex drive do I seriously have to explain why any form of restricting sex or masturbation is a seriously bad idea for men?

Been experimenting with photography again! Please let me know what you think are they better than the older ones? Might need to tweak the brightness a bit.
1064  Other / Off-topic / Re: Steam $1000 Giveaway! on: June 16, 2015, 02:01:19 PM
That is not a giveaway

Why so?
It is.

If it was a giveaway you wouldn't need to sign up to anything and people would 'give' it to you, sounds more like a competition/lottery to me.
1065  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who is/was the No.1 Scammer on Bitcointalk? on: June 16, 2015, 10:41:51 AM
Woodcollector is the most recent one and got a lot of hate for what he did, his idea was pretty unique too, he made cheap wood carvings and claimed they were hand calved so he could con people out of a lot of money for it.

He didn't scam that much but at least he actually sent the product, he just sold it as something it wasn't (though they still looked great regardless that he didn't actually hand carve them).

As somebody who does actually make Jewellery by hand, I can tell you it's a very common problem and does fall within scamming, even if it isn't a scam, it's still incredibly dishonest, unfortunately a lot of people do it and don't think there's anything wrong with it.

The problem is people like Woodcollector inevitably make it more difficult for genuine crafters to make and sell stuff online because of the trust lost.
1066  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is SPOILER dead on game of thrones? (warning has spoilers) on: June 16, 2015, 09:37:26 AM
We'll have to see but apparently the only Stark that seems to coem back from the dead in the books is Ned Stark's wife and she starts killing off the people who betrayed her, but of course, we're past the books now, so anything could happen in theory.

The end game will likely be if they burn his corpse.

So, it's time for a decentralized reddit?
No one can delete something. (Only private key owner sends a signal to network to delete a post). It might be nice. But how to organize such massive posts?

There's this program called Twister that's in alpha, but it's still in alpha, it's certainly possible to create something like this but it requires skilled programmers.
1069  Other / Off-topic / Re: Steam $1000 Giveaway! on: June 16, 2015, 08:39:51 AM
Promotion on a social network that forces you to sign up to it? Yeah, not even clicking the link, I'd be wary.

As usual because she's on 'their' side her people have already ridiculously jumped to her defence, hilarious even though she's practically defrauded them but it just goes to show you what idiots some people are.

Oh my god, this year is going to be absolutely fucking amazing for gaming, all I need is for Star Citizen to bring out the Star Marine update and I will be gone for awhile at Christmas Tongue

1077  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reddit removed harassing subreddits [ Unmoderated ] on: June 14, 2015, 04:42:00 PM
The thing about being online is that people have every option to block/ignore etc. the stuff that's posted online, like here, a lot of admins don't bother to do this for some reason. Also, I think the only time I could really ever justify doing something about an online action is if somebody was posting up peoples' private data perhaps, I'm talking about names and addresses though rather than government secrets.
1078  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reddit removed harassing subreddits [ Unmoderated ] on: June 14, 2015, 03:24:52 PM
Really? I've always found mocking them with facts and mathematics is usually pretty effective too.
1079  Other / Off-topic / Re: Soldier slaps little girl for giving Queen Elizabeth II flowers: on: June 13, 2015, 06:02:04 PM
lol that was obviously an accident, gotta love the way people react without thinking and comment without thinking.

There is a real problem on this planet of people who form their own narrative in their heads of what happened despite their being video evidence showing them exactly what was going on -_-
1080  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Rumour] Top Gear Presenters going to Netflix on: June 13, 2015, 02:23:56 PM
My friend showed my a 9GAG post or from some humor related site that they might go to netflix. What about all the international viewers that can't use netflix?

The BBC has boasted before about how many illegal downloads the show gets from torrent sites etc. I think I read iot is one of the most pirated TV shows ever.

It hasn't even been aired yet so this is just hype. Besides, viewing figures are bullshit based on guestimations. The only fairly accurate figures are from the Iplayer and even that can be manipulated.

Yeah, that's true, we'll know for sure how things go when the BBC report their earnings from that particular day, it's going to be funny seeing the massive drop when the presenters go off to do their own thing.
